It added charm to the venue.  Hannah and everyone at the venue were extremely helpful, and nice. They did a fantastic job with all the last minute details as we were getting ready. The venue was well staffed.  I think all in there had to be 6-7 floating around making sure everything flowed smooth.  All the pictures turned out great and we had an amazing sunset just as we were finishing dinner service and getting ready for dancing.  We cannot recommend more this venue, we had an amazing day!

Upon arrival we met Kristina, who is SUCH A DELIGHT! She answered all of our questions and went the extra mile to make this happen for us. Michelle was our coordinator and throughout the couple of months leading up to our wedding, she did all she could to ease our minds and help us plan the wedding of our dreams. Her and Sarah were our coordinators day of and let me tell you, they were born for this job. My husband and I were both so nervous and they were there to make sure everything went according to plan. We truly had a wedding that was more magical than we could have ever imagined. The staff are kind, generous and down to earth. They care about the families that come and go. I would recommend this venue 100/10!

uch thought to the details. When we went into the planning process, we didn't have any interest in flowers, table settings, etc. Lori and her team filled in ALL of the blanks for us. The entire process and night was coordinated seamlessly (my guests kept commenting on how efficient the buffet line was and how much they liked having name tags on their cocktail glasses), allowing us to focus on each other and our guests. Also, the venue is stunning. We had obviously visited to check it out initially, but were blown away when we arrived for our wedding. The venue is located on a working farm, so there were animals out at sunset (which our guests loved). For decorations, 1932 Barn has artificial florals which they'll arrange and clean up for you. I loved that this kept the entire event relatively low-waste. I could go on forever- it truly was the best night. I'm sad it's over (maybe we'll come back for our 50th anniversary-lol). nd in checking to make sure I was on track with planning. They even include decor and design in their cost which was so helpful because I didn't even know where to start! The day of our wedding it poured rain all morning. Hannah and Margo kept me posted on the plan and continuously checked the radar to see when the rain would let up. The rain stopped right before our ceremony and the venue team went out and wiped off all the seating and left umbrellas close in case it started again. To me, that meant the world. They knew people pick their venue to try to be outside and were willing to do all they could to get us out there. It ended up not raining the remainder of the night so everything was perfect:) Overall, our day was perfect in every way and I can't imagine getting married anywhere else. My husband and I didn't have to worry about a thing and our guests are still talking about how perfect everything was which is all thanks to the venue team!

e. Lori is incredible to work with. She was so patient with me with all of my questions and when I had my design appointment with her, she looked at my inspo photos and made everything come to life! Hannah was our day of coordinator and she was absolutely amazing! She answered my hundreds of emails and questions leading up to the wedding with such patience and kindness. On the day of the wedding she made sure everything ran smoothly, she helped my bridal party with anything they needed, and she (and other staff) set up the wedding of my dreams. Quick shoutout to Andy and Jimmie, our bartenders for the night, they were also outstanding. They were fast and efficient and our signature cocktails were DELICIOUS! I absolutely cannot say enough good things about this venue!

Unfortunately it rained the day of our wedding and she and her team flipped the entire venue to the backup location and still had the wedding on time. We can’t recommend this place enough. The team was so amazing in completing set up, decor, and take down. They were able to assist guests with their questions. Michelle and her team were great with checking in to see if anything was needed while getting ready and even in the rain delay. This venue truly felt like home and we look forward to possibly having future events there!

BLE. Words cannot describe how grateful I was to have her there that day with me. She was quite literally the talk of the town with her work in helping us. All of the staff helped me along as there was unfortunately rain in the forecast. They were so sweet and let me wait until the very last minute to decide whether or not to have it inside or outside. We did have it outside and they were completely prepared as a storm hit AS SOON as ceremony ended. Their package, staff, inventory, and help is what sold us. They were actually our first and only venue we looked at and we could not be more happier with our decision! They all take their parts very seriously and make you feel like you are the only person matters. I was actually recovering from being sick the week of and Michelle had brought me food and Tylenol to get my fever down. Right before the reception, my dress broke and Michelle literally comes to the rescue and sews it on me. I'm telling you, this woman is a superstar. First off, the venue is beautiful, rustic, and historic, and yet still within a taxi ride of a major city, making it a convenient location for our out-of-town guests, unlike most other barn wedding venues you’ll find which can often be remote and hard to access. Second, Lori and her thoughtful team have MASTERED the wedding day-of coordination. They know the in’s and out’s of how to work with the vendors and set everything up, so that the wedding day runs as smoothly as possible. They’ve thought of everything and have back-up plans for whatever could go wrong, and on the wedding day, I felt totally taken care of. Lori and her team went above and beyond to accommodate my wishes as a bride (even when the pandemic derailed our original plans.) They were patient with me, answering my long list of questions. Finally, the design consultation is the icing on the cake! They offer a humongous selection of decor for the bride to choose from, everything I could’ve dreamed up to match my aesthetic. Also, it was a total relief to not have to worry about finding and buying all that decor myself, let alone having to set it up and take it down—Lori’s team took care of all of that! Go ahead and book! I wish I could do it all over again!

In a time where so many venues and vendors are being unkind or not understanding, Lori and her team have been such a bright spot for us. They have treated us with endless kindness, support and understanding. Have gone above and beyond all expectations to give us our "big" day. She truly treats you like you are her family and I cannot recommend them more because of that. Lori who runs the events is the most helpful person ever. She has made planning my wedding so stress free that people cannot believe how zen I am. I am normally very type A and crazy about things but she just takes care of everything. The design meeting we had to plan every piece of decor and moment that needed to be planned for the day of was so helpful and thorough, we got it all done in just a few hours. Speaking of decor, they provide everything you could ever want and have such a vast collection - you don't need to buy a thing! They provide all the recommendations for vendors for what they cannot provide themselves (DJ, catering, photography) which is so helpful. The vendors have all worked together many times, so they were able to coordinate easily and get the details sorted out with nearly no help from me! Even replanning, they were all able to get on the same page within a day or two! The venue itself is so beautiful as well and they are always working on making it as Pinterest worthy as possible. We are two weeks out and I am just so excited to get married there. If you are looking for a venue, book this one - you will not regret it!

nervous because basically all venues in the Charlotte area were booked for our April 27, 2019 wedding. Lori at the barn was one of the first people I talked to when first shopping for a venue, and I reached out to her after she kept in touch with me for several months. She cleared her day to give me a tour, gave me all information I needed up front, offered different pricing packages, and was so responsive and sweet. She is a true professional and she definitely knows what she is doing. I can be somewhat of a worry wart, and my husband is in the service industry. She and her team demonstrated all the things we wanted and needed. Besides that, the Barn is so affordable for what you get. You receive a whole team to work your day (complete with Lori), decor, tables, chairs, glasses, dishes, sparklers etc. Those things in itself are usually not included and add up fast! If you have an idea in mind, Lori probably has it, or will work to find it. She and her husband are constantly making upgrades to the property. She is also great about noticing the little moments you need a photographer, when your gifts need to be packed, who they go with, etc. The girls who worked my event had to fix my bustle the day of (twice) and were able to do so with a safety pin and super glue! You could tell they have run across any problem you have had and are not afraid to get in there and help. I received the best compliments from our guests, and they said it was one of the best weddings they've been to. It is a huge compliment, and I know we could not have done it without The 1932 Barn and their staff. If you never thought you'd use a barn for your wedding (it wasn't what I originally pictured) please reconsider just to have this venue on your big day.

My husband and I were so excited to have our wedding here not only because of the AMAZING venue itself but also because of Mrs. Lori and her team. From my initial call with Lori to the exit... Lori was nothing short of incredible. Her caring spirit and genuine want to help create the perfect day is exactly what ANY bride wants to work with! She was even there holding sparklers at the end of our exit - smiling and celebrating with us with our friends and family. It meant the world to see her smile on our way out! Her staff helped to make sure there was a plan in place in case of rain and that all guests were able to stay warm throughout the event. We were impressed by the flexibility of the venue to adapt to our wishes in terms of where the ceremony would be located on the property. The access to a wide variety of décor was a game changer. I was able to pick out exactly what would match my vision for the wedding without having to worry about the price of each individual item. This is an awesome perk that you will not find at other wedding venues! Lori’s excitement and passion were what originally sold us on the venue, but her entire staff’s hard work to make the day a reality was what made the day truly memorable. Her work and coordination with us leading up to the wedding was the reason we felt like we didn’t need a wedding planner. On the day of the wedding, we didn't have to worry about setup or preparation - we simply enjoyed the day. We cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed this venue!

If you book with the Barn you get Lori and her team as on-site coordinators which is incredible because they know the space and the flow so well. After booking, you send over all of your Pinterest boards for style and then travel to Salisbury for a decor appointment. They have a warehouse that looks like Magnolia Market and Hobby Lobby had a baby - it's amazing! They walk through each of the areas of decor and help style the venue to your liking (fake flowers, rustic cake plates, displays, etc.). Then they write it all down and take care of all the transport and set up. Leading up to the wedding, if you're Type A like me, you might feel like Lori isn't responding as quickly as you'd like but I promise you it's because she's done it so many times that she's not worried! She made my wedding day an absolute breeze! When I was stressed about weather or items I forgot, she already had three awesome back up options ready. Seriously - she and her team are incredible. They make you feel so special and so supported through it all. I couldn't recommend The 1932 Barn more. Our wedding day was amazing and they were a huge part of it. They even installed an air conditioning unit in the barn the week of our wedding to help keep our guests cool! Like.. who does that??!!!

erself and her and her daughter were extremely attentive to me through the whole day, ready to help at any opportunity. They were warm, friendly, and a joy to work with. I appreciated how laid back they were in allowing me to get creative with the bride and groom around the property, helping create as much time as possible to shoot with them. They took amazingly intentional care of the bridal party, the bride and groom's family, and the guests. The best part of working with them was how they worked as a family and made the atmosphere inviting and comfortable. The quality that set Lori and her family apart was the way they served each and every person they interacted with during the wedding day. The property is beautiful from the horses roaming in the pasture behind the barn to the rustic chic bridal suite. Sassifras Design did a phenomenal job with decor because it TRULY felt like the wedding was straight off of a Pinterest board. The table decor was unique and beautiful. They truly captured the bride and groom's personalities in the way the decorated for the wedding! I would recommend this venue to any couple looking to work with an attentive and caring venue/planners or other vendors who have the opportunity to work with this venue/planner. I hope that I have the pleasure of working with them again soon!
