Where to even begin!! We instantly fell in love with the unique venue and knew we had to book it...from our first meeting it was obvious Laurie was a wedding expert. Over the course of our planning, I had numerous questions and Laurie would promptly answer every one in great detail. Any concern I had she quickly put to rest with with confidence. Since we booked back in early 2021, they have made numerous changes to make the venue even more stunning. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect, - from the grounds to the ceremony site to the venue they did not miss anything. Even with some unexpected rain Laurie was prepared and acted quickly to help our guests. We continue to hear from our guests how wonderful and friendly Laurie & Gerd were over the course of the day. I would recommend Laurie and The Appel Inn a million times. THANK YOU!!!

Laurie was amazing to work with and her venue is amazing, beautiful and the perfect setting for my wedding. I knew this was the venue I wanted from the first time I visited, and Laurie made the whole wedding planning process a breeze. She was always accommodating and put my mind at ease anytime I would become a nervous bride. She was such a pleasure to work with and helped add to such a special night. There was not a single thing that went wrong the day of my wedding. She worked so well with the other vendors and seemed so natural at this, no wonder they’ve been doing it for so long! I’m so happy we went with the Appel Inn and Laurie. You will not regret it if you did!

Laurie at The Appel Inn helped TJ and I create the vision for our perfect wedding day. She took the time and care to listen to what we were envisioning and helped us bring it to life. When we needed to move our wedding date up due to my fathers health, Laurie jumped into action and helped coordinate with all of our other vendors to make it happen. We ended up with the most perfect day with accommodations for my dad so that he was comfortable and able to celebrate with us. Words cannot begin to describe the appreciation and gratitude we have for Laurie and her husband and all that they did for us. Highly recommended this beautiful venue owned by some wonderful people!

We can not recommend The Appel Inn more highly. We had our wedding there on 10/10/21, and were blown away. Laurie and her husband are truly incredible, and were instrumental to making our day special. To start off- the venue is absolutely gorgeous. You barely need to decorate it all, it is beautiful and elegant all on its own. It is classic and timeless, and utilizes natural light so beautifully. The outdoor space is beautifully maintained and is great for guests to get some air and hang out. There are heaters to keep the space usable after dark and in the colder months. We did lawn games, which were a huge hit. There is a great dance floor that doesn’t monopolize the space. The venue is gorgeous no matter the weather. Having a bonfire pit was incredible and really added to the atmosphere. The venue has a built-in rain plan as well, which was an enormous incentive for us to book and was something that we were grateful for and eased a lot of anxiety. There are so many cute little spots for photos, both for guests and for the photographers. Laurie is an absolute godsend. She acted as our day-of coordinator, and managed our timeline so well. We did not have to worry about timing, timelines, schedules, or anything. Laurie and our DJ would come get us when we needed to be somewhere, and that was it! We were able to completely relax and enjoy our party. Laurie is fantastic for planning as well! When you sign the contract, you get a binder with recommended vendors that have worked at the venue before, which is worth its weight in gold. We chose our caterer, DJ, and photographer out of the binder, and were over the moon with all of them. Laurie has been planning weddings for a long time, and as people who have never attended a wedding before, we wanted someone who would not hesitate to tell us if our ideas were stupid or wouldn’t work how we want them to. We truly could not have been happier with our wedding, every aspect was absolutely perfect. The Appel Inn was worth every penny, and I strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a personalized, beautiful, FUN wedding venue. It was so lovely to have space for the guests to comfortably spread out and be there in a way that was comfortable for them.

The Appel Inn was the perfect place to have our wedding. Laurie made sure that everything was exactly the way we wanted it and all our needs were met leading up to and the day of. Couldn’t be happier with our wedding day!

The Appel Inn was AMAZING for our wedding day. Due to COVID, we had to change our date 4 times as well as our venue and Laurie was great, so supportive and helpful to us. Let me tell you, we are beyond happy we ended up having to change to this venue because I would pick the Appel Inn every time. It's insanely gorgeous, our guests said it was one of their favorite venues they've ever been to. The small intimate feeling even with 95 people was great and the flow of inside/outside worked perfect during this Covid time. Every detail was perfect on our day, I would not change one thing. The “She Shed” was a perfect place for a smaller wedding party to get ready. Laurie and her husband really helped to make our day extra special and we will forever be grateful and remember our day forever.

My husband and I fell in love with the Appel the moment we drove in and saw the property that Laurie and her husband own. The spot is unique and Laurie made the whole experience stress free. When our plans had to change due to the pandemic, Laurie went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable. Not only did we get to still have our actual wedding ceremony at the Appel (with a much more intimate number of guests), Laurie helped us secure our one year anniversary date for a vow renewal. We are so excited to share the Appel again, this time with more of our family next year! Thanks to Laurie and her husband for making our wedding day absolutely perfect.

Beautiful venue!

The Appel Inn is a must have venue for rustic elegance. The beautiful grounds and picture locations lend themselves to great photos. The outdoor covered ceremony area is perfect for any kind of weather, and worked great for wedding party photos. The inside of the reception area is intimate yet great for a large group of people. The layout worked perfectly for our group of 100 guests, and allowed everyone to see us on the dance floor. Laurie was very communicative, and made our day effortless. She and the Appel staff worked with all of our vendors to bring our perfect day to life. She checked in with us, and took the stress out of our important day. We were thrilled with our choice of venue.

Absolutely beautiful venue. You barely need any decorations because it already has so much natural beauty to it with the surrounding nature and ceremony and reception set up.

We booked the Appel Inn more than a year in advance of my daughter's wedding. Throughout the whole process they were absolutely great. Laurie helped us and our caterer (Seasons Catering) set up the gathering space and ensured that everything was just right. Then on the "big day" they made sure everything ran smoothly for both the wedding and the reception, right down to the last detail. I would highly recommend this beautiful venue for any reception or wedding and reception.

The best wedding venue I could have ever chosen! So beautiful that my guests cried. Not only do you get a gorgeous place to get married, but the package (very reasonable) comes with Laurie and her assistants, who are educated and licensed event planners. Without Laurie's guidance and constant ability to stay in contact and answer my questions made my wedding planning a dream. She also does an amazing job problem solving and streamlining the wedding day. I can not say enough about how wonderful this venue is!

Working with Laurie was wonderful. She was always there to answer questions and address concerns. The Gathering Space was absolutely beautiful. We received many compliments from our friends and family.

I am so grateful for Laurie's expertise and attention to detail. I had needed someone to be like that because I didn't want to stress about everything on my own. I put my trust in her and she did not disappoint. Her husband was also very helpful especially on the day-of, making sure me and my bridal party were comfortable while getting ready all morning

We loved the photos, and it seemed an ideal space for us, but a negative review had put us on our guard before we visited. Our appointment was also attended by another bride and her mom! We thought that was strange. About half way into the meeting we were feeling completely ignored and the mother of the other bride had to remind the owner to pay attention to us. Needless to say, we're looking elsewhere.

The Appel Inn was the perfect venue for our wedding. Everything was beautiful, from the bridal suite to the fireplace ceremony. It was a pleasure working with Laurie throughout the entire process as she made sure the day went smoothly and kept me a stress-free bride. It was exactly what we wanted it to be. It's hard to find a venue more beautiful than the Appel Inn. And Laurie is really devoted to helping her brides out. Don't let her intensity dissuade you from going there. She's crazy about weddings and very good at what she does. I also bought my dress through her planning company, A Gracious Event. I did have to stay on top of things a bit more than I expected. They kept misunderstanding who was ordering the bouncy bounce for the reception, and when we arrived, the TV we had requested wasn't present. But in the end, the bouncy bounce was there, and they fetched the TV right away. It was a great event!

If you look at the numbers, its too expensive for just a venue. But if you don't look at the numbers, its an amazingly beautiful and atypical venue which I loved. The amount of do's and dont's you must follow was overwhelming. But taken in stride, you can get thru that part.

The Appel Inn was the first venue I checked out, and I continued to compare every other venue to it. If you don't want a typical venue, this is the place! We had the ceremony outside, pond-side. The reception was held in the "Gathering Space". Such an intimate setting, and the guests couldn't stop gushing about it. The owner, Laurie, has been in the business for decades and it shows. The transitions between ceremony, cocktail hour, cake cutting, etc etc were seamless. I would recommmend this venue for a wedding ANY time of the year. The worst part was ending the night! I didn't want it to end.

My groom and I fell in love with this venue, even when it was bare in the winter. We had a summer wedding here in the garden and the flowers and trees were in full bloom and just gorgeous. The staff are very helpful in making sure your wedding goes very smoothly, not only on the day of but in leading up to it. I found Laurie extremely helpful when I was having a "crisis."

Laurie (the owner) is a great person to work with. She is willing to answer questions and help in the planning as much as you want her to. She is laid back but not too laid back. (perfect amount for me, but maybe for some people she would seem too laid back) She has done this a thousand times, which is reassuring, but she hasn't forgotten how important it all is to each and every bride!

Ill start off by saying its a beautiful place don't get me wrong! My Fiance and I were venue hunting and were were stuck on the Appel in and another one. We were going to choose the Appel inn but, I asked the owner a question and they didn't think we visited them (we did)! a little irritated I gave them the benefit of doubt because they probably were busy. After saying so I said yes we came in.. does that mean you gave our date away?? They then replied dont think so but look online and see! What not a professional way to run your business! I thought that was rude and I didn't feel like it was personal there. Very busy place so we figured they wouldn't have time to associate with us or get us mixed up with another couple! VERY disappointed!!

The Appel Inn was such a wonderful venue. They have everything you could want for your photos - barn, creek, trees, flowers, landscaping, wishing well, gondola, swing, etc. The owner Laurie was SUCH a great help with the planning process. She knows what works and what doesn't work for the space and gives great advice. Laurie and her husband were also a great help on the wedding day. They help with anything needed on the day and if nothing is needed, they sit back and enjoy themselves. Laurie helped me with a Guinness stain on my dress and even bustled my dress! I definitely recommend this venue!!!

I had such a wonderful wedding at the Appel Inn! Laurie was wonderful and worked with me every step of the way (unfortunately she had to be away the day of the event because of a family emergency, but she had two fill ins that were wonderful). The inside of the gathering space is gorgeous and everything came together wonderfully! I'm so happy with my choice!!!

It was absolutely beautiful. There was a large wrap around porch and yard outside that was perfect for the cocktail hour and for the kids to play. The building is octagonal with a fireplace on one wall and the dance floor in the middle, which means everyone is close and feels a part of the action. There are huge picture windows on most of the walls and several sets of french doors. The woman who owns that place is like a wedding coordinator and is excellent at keeping the flow of the evening and making sure everything gets done.;They only host up to 150 people so it's perfect for smaller gatherings/weddings.

The building was octagonal, with windows all around. A beautiful chandelier adorned the ceiling. It was just so comfortable, from the outside wedding ceremony (by water) to the gorgeous outdoor deck.;Absolutely nothing!
