We got married at The Asbury Hotel in August, and we have nothing but the best things to say about our experience. We both love spending time in Asbury, and the hotel's location is unbeatable. It truly embodies the vibrant energy of the city, and we were thrilled that our guests were able to experience that during our wedding weekend. We first began working with Gina, who is amazing! She always went above and beyond to ensure we were happy and that our many questions were answered. When we brought my mother-in-law to Asbury for a visit, Gina graciously paused her work to give us another tour. She is so genuine and truly excited for the couples she works with, and I felt that in every interaction. A few months before the wedding, we were introduced to Teresa and Mia, who are absolute pros at their jobs. When we met with them a month out to go over all the logistics, they came with a clear agenda (which I love), were completely up to date on all our plans (which I can imagine is not easy given how many weddings they manage), and guided us through decisions we were still making. They were also so cool and fun to chat with, and we left the meeting feeling more excited than ever and completely at ease knowing we had the best team in place. Afterwards, they sent us an outstanding to do list, which was a super helpful guide to make the last month less overwhelming. And it proved that we had the best team as our wedding day was flawless. Teresa and Mia were there every part of the day, coordinating everything seamlessly with our wedding planner and vendors and jumping in to provide support whenever needed. We were lucky to have a beautiful day, so we got married on the Baronet Rooftop. The setup was stunning, with all our guests having a view of the ocean. Afterward, as guests made their way to the cocktail hour, drinks were waiting for them when they exited the elevator. When it was time to move to the tent for dinner, the team raised the garage doors, and our guests were in awe—none of them knew where the dinner was going to be until that moment. These thoughtful touches made all the difference, and we received many compliments on them. We loved having a separate space for dinner and dancing, which kept the energy high and got everyone on the dance floor all night. We wanted the outdoor space to feel like a garden, with plenty of flowers and candles, while the indoor space to feel like a fun, lively bar—and both came to life exactly as we hoped. We didn’t want a traditional ballroom, and The Asbury’s set up was perfect for us. After the reception, our parents and their friends grabbed drinks in the lobby, while our friends went upstairs to dance at the Salvation Rooftop. The two venue options were great, offering something for everyone. The Asbury is also an ideal space for photos! Even if the weather had been rainy, there are so many indoor backdrops that would have photographed beautifully. We did our first look in front of the ivy wall outside and we love the photos. We also used several of their recommended vendors, all of whom were fantastic. It so easy to get wrapped up and nervous about the details, and we are incredibly grateful to the Asbury Hotel for all their hard work and for putting us at ease throughout the entire process. Our experience working with the whole team was wonderful and it made our wedding more special, fun, and happy than we could've dreamed of. We’ll always feel very lucky to have gotten married here!
We had our wedding at The Asbury on 9/6/24 and it was truly the Best. Day. Ever. From the start of planning to the final dance, everything we visioned executed perfectly thanks to the team at The Asbury. Gia was so great to work without throughout planning; she responded quickly and was always super compassionate to my, “sorry, one more question….” emails. When we met with Teresa and Mia during our final 2-3 month countdown, we knew right away that we were in good hands. They are both incredibly professional, trusting, and just genuine, good people. They made sure all details were covered (many that I did not think of), and were a huge help throughout our entire day from start to finish. We can’t thank the team at the Asbury enough. From the ceremony on the roof deck looking out to the ocean, to the pre-function cocktail hour space, to the terrace and hall area, our guests raved about all spaces. It is such a cool, unique venue. We highly recommend having your wedding here!!
We just had the most AMAZING wedding at the Asbury Hotel this past weekend. From beginning to end, the staff made sure we were taken care of and that our event went smoothly. Gina in the sales department made booking such an easy and enjoyable process, and made us feel welcome from the first time we walked through the door. Also, we wanted to give a special shoutout to our coordinators Teresa and Mia, who were so communicative and helpful throughout our final detailings, and kept us on schedule during our big day. Mia even doubled as a bridal attendant for us and took so much stress off our plates on what could have been a nerve-racking day — she is absolutely wonderful and fantastic at her job! The venue is stunning, full of character, and our guests couldn't stop raving about it. Definitely have your wedding here!
We had the absolute pleasure of hosting our wedding at The Asbury Hotel, and it was, without a doubt, the best decision we made. From the moment we first toured the venue to the final moments of our big day, everything was simply perfect. A huge part of that perfection was thanks to the incredible team at The Asbury, especially Teresa, Gina and Mia. They guided us through every step of the planning process with care, attention to detail, and an incredible sense of calm. Their expertise and passion for what they do were evident from the start, and they made sure every aspect of our wedding day was exactly what we had envisioned—and more. On the day of the wedding, Teresa, Mia and the entire Asbury team were nothing short of extraordinary. They managed every detail flawlessly, ensuring that everything went off without a hitch. From the stunning setup to the seamless coordination, they took care of everything, allowing us to fully enjoy our day without any stress. Their professionalism, warmth, and dedication shined through in every interaction, and we are forever grateful for the magic they brought to our special day. Our experience working with the Asbury was absolutely amazing! We knew we wanted to have our wedding there right after we took the venue tour. The hotel has a funky alternative vibe but also gives you the ability to still have the traditional feel of a wedding if you want it. Our guests had a wonderful weekend staying there and said it truly felt like a destination wedding with everything going on at the hotel and having the boardwalk just steps away. Working with Gina throughout the entire planning process was awesome and Teresa and Mia made sure all of our events went smoothly during our actual wedding weekend. We had our welcome party out by the pool area (rented out the pool deck, highly recommend) and our ceremony on the rooftop. There were multiple spaces in the hotel available to have our wedding events which was great having so many options. We can’t thank the Asbury team enough for making our wedding experience perfect!
Choosing The Asbury Hotel to host our wedding was the best decision we could have made. The Asbury was only the second venue we had toured, and right away we knew we could end our search. We were greeted warmly by Gina who led us through a tour of all the spaces available for weddings, and answered all our questions. The folks that assisted us with our room block were responsive and helpful. And then when it was go time, Teresa and Mia were actual life savers. Working with them was such a delight. They felt like immediate friends and shared our excitement with us throughout the weekend. They truly went above and beyond to make our day EXACTLY how we envisioned it. We even had a momentary blip in the timeline when a fire alarm went off, but the staff wasted no time at all. They shifted gears and immediately had guests eating and drinking cocktails outside on the lawn. It was solved so quickly and within minutes guests were back inside like it never happened. Staff was calm, cool, and collected which I appreciated IMMENSELY. Their level of professionalism and kindness is unmatched. Our guests are still swooning over everything. The decor, the food, the gorgeous views, the atmosphere. I would choose The Asbury over and over. It will always be a special place for us. Thank you, all!
My husband and I got married on 3/2/24 and the staff at the Asbury hotel/Asbury lanes was absolutely outstanding. We are big music people and wanted to have a wedding venue that accompanied all of the aspects of our life that we enjoy so much (while also sharing it with our family and friends). Teresa and Mia were absolutely wonderful! From the day of our food tasting, I knew that everything would be perfectly set and secure for our wedding. We had a beautiful candlelit dinner with Mia bringing us various courses to try and pick for our wedding. Teresa was phenomenal and really eased any concern we had at our final meeting. She helped us pick the best options for us and was reassuring throughout the entire meeting. On our wedding day, it was supposed to rain (which it did) and Teresa called me and game planned with me earlier in the week about the ceremony set up and layout to make sure we had a plan for the rain without panicking on the wedding day. The day of the wedding came and both Mia and Teresa along with the Asbury lanes and hotel staff went above and beyond. Making sure we had drinks, food, etc. It was the absolute perfect day even with the sideways rain because of all of the hard work behind the scenes to make it run smoothly. I couldn’t recommend the staff (Teresa and Mia) enough for anyone considering the Asbury for a wedding venue!
my husband and I met in asbury, got engaged in asbury, and lived in asbury. so getting married at The Asbury hotel was a no brainer.
be aware that this venue is for visionaries. you have to make it look the way you want it to. I had a hard time even imaging what my wedding would look like until the day of. they did not allow for a walk through of another weddings set up.
I am very happy I had a wedding planner to plan the decor and manage the floor plan of the wedding because of this.
The staff was great. never a line at the bar. ceremony on the baronet went off with out a hitch even though it was drizzling. I loved the layout of cocktail hour in front, main room with band, dance floor, and bars, and then tent with dinner tables. the garage doors rising after the first dances was breath taking.
if I had to do it all over, I would pick The Asbury again.
There is no reason to NOT have your wedding here. We searched far and wide throughout NJ to find the perfect venue, but nobody would host the brunch wedding of our dreams. EXCEPT Asbury Hotel. You know why? Because they are without a doubt the only venue that will go above and beyond for you to have the perfect day YOU dreamed of. Teresa was my life savior when my bridesmaids couldn’t bustle my dress. She took charge and made it happen and got me back to the cocktail hour I so desperately wanted to attend and made sure I had a drink in my hand upon entry. Matt Bassant (TBT) was so efficient and made sure everything we needed was either happening or about to happen. My husband and I talk about our wedding all the time, and reminisce about how much fun we had, but so do our guests. Because everyone that worked our wedding made sure to give everyone the best service and make sure we were having the time of our lives. If I could relive this day all over again, EVERY DAY, for the rest of my life, I would. We will never forget how perfect the staff made our day, and there will never be enough gratitude we can show to them for making sure it was everything we wanted and more.
BEST DAY OF MY WIFE AND I'S LIFE!!! Our wedding at the Asbury Hotel was everything we dreamed of. It was truly an amazing experience for us, our family, and friends. All of the workers treated us the best way possible, especially our coordinator, Teresa. Teresa was a huge reason we ultimately decided on choosing the Asbury as our venue for our special day. She made my wife and I feel super confident and comfortable with our decision from day 1, it was truly the perfect wedding day for us thanks to Teresa and the Asbury. Teresa was so thoughtful and accommodating on our wedding day. One example was how she had blankets waiting for our grandparents to keep them warm for our wedding ceremony on the chilly roof top in November. The venue space was laid out perfectly as well. From the first look, roof top ceremony, cocktail hour, and the reception, the Asbury Hotel had everything set perfect for our big day. We cannot thank the Asbury Hotel and Teresa enough for giving us the best day of our lives and an unforgettable/amazing wedding day for all who attended. My wife and I HIGHLY recommend the Asbury Hotel as a wedding day venue. We wouldn't change a thing about our special day and it is all thanks to the Asbury Hotel and Teresa.
Oh, where do I begin? When my now-husband and I got engaged, we had envisioned a NYC wedding. But everything changed the moment we set foot in the Asbury Hotel during a quick trip back to our hometowns in NJ. It was everything we could've wanted: vibrant vibes, stunning photo spots, a rich musical history, and the flexibility to customize the space. Initially, Matt (who's no longer there, but major kudos to him for being amazing throughout) guided us. Later, Teresa and her team took over, answering my barrage of emails (I might've set a record for bride-to-vendor correspondence) and handling every single request flawlessly.
Weather-wise, luck wasn't on our side, like many other couples from June to October. But the Asbury team were absolute pros, seamlessly shifting to our Plan B. Our wedding became this beautiful, moody affair under the tent. Once the ceremony wrapped up, they swiftly transformed the tent into a fantastic space for cocktails, dancing, and all the festivities. A standout moment for me? As my husband and his mother finished their dance, the garage doors lifted, unveiling our reception space.
As the night wound down, they efficiently organized all our belongings, storing them for us to collect the next day. The Asbury and their team made every single moment of our day magical. While we didn't have that dreamy rooftop ceremony we initially pictured, every part of the day was just perfect. I often find myself wishing we could relive it all over again.
I can’t say enough amazing things about the team at The Asbury Hotel. From the day we toured, to the day of our wedding, everything felt seamless. Teresa is such a pleasure to work with and knows how to get shit done. If you’re worried about the logistics of your day not going the way you envisioned, just don’t…Teresa & Co. have this machine well oiled. All my vendors were also so excited to be working their team again so they’re clearly doing something right. The location is great, so out of towners have plenty to do during their stay. You can bring in your own catering so you have more than one option. The venue itself has so many places (inside & outside) to get your day of photos bc of its cool aesthetic. It poured and FLOODED the day of our wedding and our photos are still 10/10 even though we had to do everything indoors. If you’re contemplating The Asbury for your big day, stop thinking and do it. You’ll be so mad if you don’t.
We had the best time at the best venue! Although our date (9/15/2023) was probably not the most ideal Asbury Park event day (re: Sea Hear Now festival) the staff executed our event flawlessly. Excellent energy, communication and professionalism. If we could do it all over again we would come back here every time :)
The Asbury Hotel is the perfect venue if you're looking for something modern with plenty of space to put your own touch on it. The Hotel is fun, edgy, and close to the boardwalk and downtown Asbury making it a great location for your guests. We got married at The Asbury in September during the tropical storm and everyone at The Asbury went above and beyond to make sure our day was special. They took care of everything and kept in constant communications to make sure any concerns we had with the storm were addressed. We felt stress-free throughout the entire weekend knowing our wedding was in good hands. Teresa and her staff were great to work with and she was fantastic in making our perfect wedding day happen especially given the weather conditions. Cannot recommend this venue enough!!
When looking for a venue, we wanted somewhere that was a mix of classic and funky, that let us add our own unique spin based on our personalities and that was located near points of interests for our out of town guests. The Asbury Hotel was the whole package for us, and we immediately fell in love with it. We also had a pleasant experience with the accommodating team throughout the planning process. It was the perfect spot for our ceremony and reception with conveniently close bars and restaurants near by where we hosted the rehearsal dinner and after party. We also utilized the Asbury Lanes, attached to the hotel, for our post-wedding brunch. Guest raved about the venue and were able to stay at the hotel or the nearby Berkeley. Even though it rained and we weren't able to have the ceremony on the rooftop, it was still beautiful and we wouldn't change a thing. I recommend this venue if you're looking to put your own personality into your big day vs. a standard catering hall since you need to bring vendors in, but the team was very helpful at providing a preferred list of vendors, plus working with our amazing planner made the day go seamlessly.
We had our wedding ceremony and sit down dinner for 130 people at The Asbury Hotel in July 2023 and we cannot say enough good things about The Asbury Hotel! Everything was fun and seamless--from our first meeting to the day of (including a pivot from the rooftop to the tent due to rain). Our coordinator Teresa went above and beyond and just made everything easy. The venue is stunning and the staff is beyond talented and professional. Nearly all of our guests (and us) were from out of town and we all stayed at and loved the hotel as well. Highly recommend The Asbury Hotel!
The Asbury Hotel came to the rescue for my June 2023 wedding. I needed to change my first look/formal photo location as I wasn’t able to use my venue and the weather looked bad enough to not be able to be outside. I reached out to Teresa, who we had toured the venue with 2 summers ago, and she was so helpful! She allowed us to use the front lobby space (which has a very unique and cool vibe to it) as well as the adjacent “hall” which is beautiful with floor to ceiling windows and lovely white drapes throughout. Our photos look absolutely beautiful and I couldn’t thank The Asbury Hotel enough for letting us use that space relatively last minute. We loved the hotel as a wedding venue as well but we ultimately wanted something on the beach. Asbury lanes is a super cool rehearsal dinner space and the pool with food truck would be so cute for a post wedding brunch.
I would HIGHLY recommend choosing The Asbury as a venue for your wedding. We are so glad we did for ours! First of all, it was so easy to have EVERYTHING in one place for us and our guests. Our guests enjoyed staying at the hotel. It was a mini family vacation for us! All of the amenities the hotel offered were amazing and The Asbury is in a great location to everything the Jersey Shore has to offer! We used the Salvation Rooftop Bar for both our Welcome Dinner location AND after party location. Teresa and Jenna were AMAZING with the planning process. We knew we were in good hands from the get-go. But I was even more astonished by how accommodating they were to us the day of the wedding! They did and thought of EVERYTHING! Our guests were amazed by the venue and had a BLAST. My wedding was absolutely perfect!
As a bride who didn't want a traditional ballroom wedding and wanted our guests to be able to visit a location that was super fun and had everything in one place - The Asbury checked every single box. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention from day one how amazing Teresa was to work with and this carried through our entire weekend. She went above and beyond to make sure we were all taken care of - jumping in to help with our rehearsal on Friday, helping us move all of our stuff in, answering too many questions, helping my husband problem solve when our arch broke (lol) and even attending to us in the bridal suite. The ceremony on the rooftop is stunning and a total showstopper - even on an overcast day having the view of the convention center was incredible. ALSO dog parents- this venue is dog friendly for the ceremony and the hotel is pet friendly!! We were able to have our fur kids be a part of our ceremony which was incredibly important to us. The Asbury team was so accommodating to us all in making sure both the groomsmen and bridesmaids had a place to hang before it was time to start the ceremony.
The reception - having the cocktail hour / first dance in Asbury Hall then lifting the garage doors to the seating area under the tent you heard an audible "gasp" in the room. So cool. The space is pretty DIY for the reception but Teresa was more than happy to recommend/share vendors to help transform the space into what we envisioned, and it was amazing. Since there was no event in Asbury Lanes that night we had our after party there and everyone was raving about it. Super cool spot with the bar and bowling lanes - which everyone from our wedding used by the way. Being able to go up to our rooms in change is also a luxury not to be taken for granted! Loved my experience here and it was the best day ever!
Teresa (and the entire Asbury Staff) was a dream to work with. They made the tour, planning, and the day just so fun! The venue is super personalizable and they have a recommended vendor for literally everything. It actually made booking everything a breeze. If Teresa said they were good.. I booked them. And she was right again and again. Thank you SO much for a perfect day.
I've had my eye on the Asbury Hotel since we got engaged, and after doing our first tour of the space with Teresa we knew that was the perfect place for our wedding!
We had a great experience working with Teresa, and the whole Asbury staff! They were responsive, and accommodating throughout the whole process. Almost all of our guests were able to get rooms at The Asbury the night of our wedding, Susan was very helpful, and it created such a fun environment filled with our family and friends in Asbury Park.
Plan A was, of course, the rooftop ceremony but when the weather didn't go our way The Asbury staff quickly pivoted and the Plan B wound up being better than we could've ever imagined.

I got married at the Asbury Hotel in October 2022 and couldn’t be happier with the venue, the staff at the hotel, the planning process, etc. While I can’t recommend this venue enough, I do think think no matter how beautiful your venue is though, it comes down to the people you work alongside while planning your big day - and it is literally no exaggeration to say that Matt Bassant was the most important part of my wedding planning. He was beyond responsive to my one million questions and emails (sorry Matt), an invaluable problem-solver, detail-oriented, above and beyond friendly, and a true partner in executing our vision. We also had the chance to work with Teresa closer to the wedding and she was equally as amazing. Anyone planning a wedding knows how stressful it can be, but I never doubted we were in the best hands with the dynamic duo of Teresa and Matt.
From our first venue tour to our wedding day, we had an excellent experience working with Matt and The Asbury staff. Even when our wedding was a year away, the team was quick to respond to every question we had along the way (incl. weekends & vacations - even if we asked them not to).
On the day of the wedding, the front desk team were incredibly helpful checking in our guests, handing out welcome bags and answering any questions that came up. Knowing our guests were in good hands allowed us to focus on each other and the day itself. We would absolutely recommend The Asbury to anyone looking for the perfect Jersey Shore wedding weekend.

My wife and I recently had our wedding at The Asbury on November 4, 2022. We are Asbury Park locals and frequent the hotel year-round so we didn’t even look at any other venue and we couldn’t have been happier with how everything turned out. We really wanted a big party and not a traditional wedding and AP and The Asbury definitely lends to that vibe… and we did throw one hell of a party! Matt, Teresa and their entire team were incredible from start to finish! We primarily worked with Matt leading up to our big day. He is super responsive, flexible, easy to work with and he coordinated with all our vendors seamlessly. Teresa was our point person for the night of and she was there to accommodate all our needs, including helping to pin up my wife’s dress between the ceremony and reception. Their entire team is resourceful and eager to help in order to make your day as smooth as possible. The hall itself is pretty much a blank canvas which is super fun to work with whatever vision you may have. We had a large ceiling installation over the dance floor and the hotel team never questioned or limited what we had in mind. To see everything come together really exceeded anything we could have imagined. We heard nothing from high praise from all our guests, people are still raving about our wedding which makes reliving the night so much fun! We’re so grateful for our team of vendors that helped make it possible and it really all started with The Asbury.
My daughter and son-in-law recently had their wedding reception at The Asbury Hotel. This venue was a DIY. Everything had to be brought in including water glasses and pitchers for water on the tables. We took care of buying all the decorations and the caterer supplied the plates and silverware. The Asbury set up the room and it looked really nice. We were disappointed with the ceremony set up. The room could not accommodate more than thirty guests so when more family and friends wanted to view the ceremony it was chaotic and our guests were treated rudely by the staff in charge. At 11:00 pm our guests were quickly ushered out of the reception hall and the doors were closed. Post wedding breakfast was a waste of money. It was very expensive and everything that was listed on the menu was not given to us. It was bare bones and frankly embarrassing. The staff once again was rude to our guests and myself. We were also told we were to leave by not a minute later than 11:00 am. The vibe at the hotel is different than a typical wedding venue but I would not recommend having the ceremony in the atrium space and would not recommend the post wedding breakfast.
We had the absolute best time at the Asbury Hotel for our wedding. As a local marrying a non-local we knew we needed a great destination for all of our out of town guests, and Asbury Park delivered. We also wanted a non-traditional ballroom wedding and the Asbury Hotel couldn't have been better for us. The venue has so many locations to have your wedding all in one place and the best person running the show, Teresa! She made sure we had all we needed, our reception set up perfectly, coordinated with our other vendors and planner!! Teresa literally made everything go so smoothly. We wanted to have an after party at the Lanes but do to a concert schedule we changed to the rooftop which was probably more fun for our guests anyway! Cannot thank the Asbury hotel staff and Teresa for all they did to make our wedding weekend so special!! You will not regret booking the Asbury for your wedding .
We absolutely loved our wedding at the Asbury Hotel! We worked with Matt for a majority of the process, and he is the best of the best. Extremely attentive, knowledgable, and accommodating. He helped to make all of our wedding dreams come true! I was never worried about our venue situation because Matt easily put my mind at ease every time we spoke. The Asbury took great care of us and our guests, and we got so many compliments on how perfect the space was! Right before our ceremony, the fire alarm went off and the Asbury team was EXTREMELY amazing in analyzing the situation, getting in contact with the fire department, and keeping all of us safe. Within seconds of the alarm, they confirmed it was a false alarm and worked so quickly to get our day back on track. They are clearly a professional and capable team, and now we have a fun story from our wedding day which could have easily become a nightmare situation. We love the Asbury and can't wait to go back on weekend trips and remember our wedding day!
We had our wedding at The Asbury in September 2022 and it was truly the best day ever. From the beginning of the planning process to the day after the wedding everything went so smoothly and perfectly. We worked with Matt for the majority of the time and he was super responsive, helpful, and full of great design ideas. The day of we also had Teresa and she was on top of everything! We didn't have to lift a finger the whole day. The Asbury was very open to anything we asked for and supported our strangest requests. We had our ceremony on the Baronet rooftop and they helped us decide the perfect placement and layout of everything so that everyone could see and hear without being distracted by Asbury summer happenings. Our reception was in their event space and they were masterminds in creating a layout that was both functional and beautiful. They even added some extra magic with a big reveal of the tent/dinner space with the garage doors during our first dances. I truly cannot imagine having our wedding anywhere else, we look forward to getting to celebrate anniversaries there in the future and hope that everyone gets to experience an event there at some point. It truly was a dream come true and we HIGHLY recommend planning a wedding there!
We had our sights set on The Asbury Hotel long before we were even engaged! It was a gorgeous venue and we loved the town. We loved that it was right by the beach and had an eclectic, modern vibe. The rooftop ceremony space is beyond gorgeous and our reception was in Asbury Hall and on the terrace with a clear top tent. It fit our personalities so well and our guests loved it. Our vendor team made everything so beautiful and exactly like we wanted!
The entire experience at the Asbury Hotel was amazing. We worked with Teresa for the contract as well as the planning and the day of coordination, and she was fantastic -- organized, helpful and knowledgeable, and she was able to deal with our larger wedding party and other nuances that came with managing our own wedding without a planner.
Her attention to detail was exceptional, and she helped us think of things we did not know to plan for.
In terms of the venue itself, it is beautiful and big. We had our reception on the patio/inside hall, and the garage door reveal to the patio really gave a dramatic feel to the transition between cocktail hour and reception.
The rooftop overlooks the Asbury beach and iconic convention center and literally gave an intimate yet stunning view for the ceremony.
The hotel suites were also beautiful, and I recommend booking them for your bridal party to get ready in (available as an upgrade from a standard room for an extra cost).
We still cannot believe how amazing our wedding at the Asbury Hotel was!! Leading up to the big day, Teresa and Matt were so amazingly helpful and responsive. Teresa, especially, was incredibly understanding when we changed our mind about the wedding date literally 6 different times. From the moment we checked in for the weekend to the moment we left, we were treated like old friends by everyone on staff. Truly every single person we encountered was so kind and generous with their time. Especially Rebecca and Kristen at the front desk, as well as Mike at the security to Salvation.
We booked the panoramic suite for our weekend and I highly recommend you do the same or at least upgrade to a suite or deluxe room, especially if you are planning to get ready in the room on the day of your wedding. The standard rooms are really nice but really small and it would be tough for a hair and makeup team to set up in one of those rooms. I had 10 people getting ready with me the morning of the wedding and we did not feel cramped at all in the panoramic suite. Just some advice that I know may be helpful to other couples!

Our wedding at The Asbury was the BEST DAY EVER. We worked with Teresa to help bring our vision for the outdoor terrace to life, and she is truly a rockstar for making it all happen. We had the pleasure of working with Teresa Dantone at the Asbury for our daughters wedding. The venue is absolutely gorgeous. A blank canvas you can make your own. 3 spaces available to us the Baronet for your outdoor Coctail hour over looking the ocean, main room and then the outdoor dining space gives you the opportunity to be creative and make each space unique . Teresa share two great ideas with us. 1. Black and White Dance floor. 2. Disco balls over the dance floor. It was truly spectacular! Coupled with a garden oasis under a clear tent draped with greenery and white lights, simple table flower arrangements and candles @ Amber and Earth. If Teresa promises you something you can absolutely count on her. The bar tenders were amazing. Libations were fully stocked and ice cold. With 4 attentive bar tenders there was Never a wait. Special thanks to Annie & Teresa for checking in during the event to ensure we had everything we needed. We appreciate all of your extra efforts to ensure it was the most beautiful evening. Memories we will always cherish! I highly recommend The Asbury, they will make all your event dreams come true ❤️

I wanna say I chose this venue because of Matt. But then I met Teresa, so now I can say I chose The Asbury because of Matt and Teresa. They were incredibly supportive and accommodating to the never-ending emails and requests from my wedding planner (my dad). They gave us our perfect day. The venue was a dream. The Baronet Rooftop for the ceremony is what a NJ gals wedding dreams are made of. If I could do it all again, I wouldn’t have changed a thing!

When we were planning our wedding, we knew we wanted something different from every other wedding we went to. The Asbury was the first venue we went to and we fell in LOVE! We loved that there are such different and unique spaces for each part of the event - from the rooftop for the ceremony, to the pre function space for cocktail, to the terrace and hall for dinner and dancing, and the Lanes for the after party. Our guests were OBSESSED and loved that they never had to leave the building the entire night! Teresa and her team were so great to work with from the day we met until after our wedding! I was concerned about not having a wedding planner or external day of coordinator, but between Teresa, our caterer (Falcos, which we would also highly recommend), and our photographer, everything was literally perfect and exceeded all of our expectations. Thank you all SO MUCH for such an incredible experience and wedding day <3
We can't thank Teresa, Matt and the whole crew at The Asbury enough for being the most magnificent team in helping us to pull off our dream wedding. They were beyond supportive throughout the entire process and were happy to answer any questions we had, no matter how random or how frequent. Our ceremony was picture perfect on the rooftop and really set the tone for how magical the venue is. They had every Plan B in place, should we have a weather event, which thankfully was not the case.
Upon arrival, the front desk team and Porters, JJ and Neil specifically, were amazing and so welcoming. Colin, at The Counter, was great. Really, the whole crew! Katie was a sweetheart in guiding us where we needed to go and felt comfort in knowing someone else "on the inside" was looking out for us. Susan was awesome with managing our room block.
When our guests arrived at the hotel, they had that same "wow" feeling we did, the first time we walked in. The Asbury will always, always have a special place in our hearts. We hope to visit annually, and have a bit of sweet nostalgia from our special day.
The Asbury is a space that you can pretty much create whatever vibe you are looking for. That was exactly what we wanted, and our wedding truly felt perfectly designed for us. We are forever grateful to everyone who helped us make this special memory.
I can’t say enough great things about the Asbury Hotel and the amazing team that works there. From the second we toured the Asbury to find a venue for our June 2022 wedding, we were completely sold. The Asbury Hall and Terrace has such a cool, elegant vibe and the water views from the Baronet rooftop are unmatched. Our guests are still talking about what a unique and fun venue The Asbury Hotel is. Additionally, the hotel is situated in in the perfect location for guests to explore the amazing restaurants, bars, shows and beaches that Asbury Park has to offer.
The entire team at the Asbury, especially our banquet manager Teresa Dantone were incredibly kind, professional and helpful. Our emails and questions were always answered in a way that made us feel like we were the only couple on their minds, even though I knew wedding season was already in full swing! They were extremely accommodating to all of our asks, and their organized approach had me feeling completely relaxed the entire day of. I was completely confident that everything was in great hands.

My now husband and I got engaged in 2019, and 3 months later visited this venue for our wedding; it was love at first sight (for real, we didn't look elsewhere afterward)! Due to COVID-19, we had to postpone our wedding twice. Matt and his team (shout out to Teresa too!) were the most flexible and accommodating people ever. They helped us make the difficult decision twice to postpone, and their dedication to making our vision come to life never wavered despite all the setbacks. It was worth the wait to see the venue transformed and the dance floor full of people having a blast. I cannot recommend a better place or team of people to work with! <3
Can't say enough good things about The Asbury, Matt Bassant and his entire team. We got married at the Asbury in December 2021 after postponing a year due to Covid. When we reached out to Matt in 2020 about rescheduling, he could not have been nicer, more accommodating or more helpful. While postponing was a necessary but difficult decision, it was completely changed by Matt who made the process incredibly easy. I have heard many horror stories about difficult vendors during the pandemic and the way Matt and The Asbury handled the situation with ease, compassion, and understanding made such an impact on our wedding planning process and in our eyes speaks to the kind of people they are. We had a big, and very specific vision, for our wedding and every single detail was met by Matt and his team perfectly. All of our requests were met, he always responded to all of our questions promptly, and made the entire process fun and enjoyable. Matt helped us coordinate with vendors, helped me with a few surprise elements/details and everything for our day ran smoothly and was exactly how we dreamed. I can't recommend Matt, Teresa and the Asbury enough for the level of service, attention to detail, their positive attitudes, and fun spirit. The Asbury has weddings every weekend and we knew we were one of their many clients, but Matt always made us feel like we were the only couple on his mind and followed along with our (many) details perfectly. We recently got married at The Asbury in April 2022 and had such an amazing experience! Matt Bassant was so incredibly helpful and extremely organized with all of the planning and preparation. He was easy to get ahold of when we had questions and always answered everything thoroughly. All of the hotel staff, the maître d', and day-of crew were extremely helpful and easy to deal with. They truly made our vision come to fruition. We would highly recommend getting the tent as it maximized the space and the lighting made for such a romantic reception. We were lucky with the weather and had the ceremony on the rooftop. The view, weather, and outdoor space made for an amazing ceremony that we will never forget!
I cannot recommend having a wedding at the Asbury enough. The team, including Teresa Dantone, our wedding coordinator, Joe Huntenburg, and more, truly worked magic for our wedding weekend. We had a FULL BLIZZARD happen the weekend of our wedding, and as I heard other brides getting calls from their venue canceling, the Asbury assured us along. Not only did Teresa stay on text basis with me all weekend, she provided vendors with constant updates and fostered communications between vendors, patrons, and staff. We were able to use the hotel, pre-function space, ceremony space, ballroom, Asbury Lanes and more so our guests never had to step outside. While we had a unique experience, I think it is safe to say that the Asbury staff goes above and beyond to make EVERY wedding unique in its own way. Chose the Asbury if you want a more eclectic, bohemian, feel that rivals the traditional catering hall venue. You will be told by guests you had the best wedding ever because the Asbury is truly iconic in every way- and the staff is at the heart.
We got married at the Asbury Hotel in November, 2021. It was a beautiful and perfect venue in every way. The staff there, especially Joseph, worked so hard to make sure we could get married on the roof on a day with very challenging weather. We are so grateful for everything they did, and all of the special moments they created for us. They gave us a lot of freedom to hire the vendors that we wanted, and supported all of our ideas and planning. It was the perfect venue for us!
We got married on May 7, 2021 at The Asbury Hotel - it was the perfect day at the perfect venue.
We looked at so, so, so, many venues - The Asbury Hotel checked all our boxes: outside space, intimate vibes, dynamic location, and within budget - check, check, check, check. We requested to book a date after our first venue visit in August 2019, for a wedding on May 29, 2020. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic our wedding was postponed to May 7, 2021.
We can’t say enough about the amazing work by Matt, and then by Teresa. Both were incredibly professional, understanding, and responsive throughout the entire process. Special shout out to Terese who picked up the coordination of our wedding. She was the perfect point of contact during the uncertain months of COVID-19. She was organized, available when needed, and she was knowledgeable/ upfront with us about the ever changing government COVID restrictions. If astrology means anything to you, she was able to calm my Capricorn energy, which wasn’t easy when planning a wedding during a pandemic. Personally, we felt we were her only clients, even thought we knew that was not true. We highly recommend that you book the Panoramic Suite; perfect lighting for photos.

After planning our daughter’s dream wedding for over a year, life through us a curve when we arrived at the Sandy Hook Chapel the day before the wedding to be told the park was closing due to Hurricane Henri. With no venue and 200 guests in town from all over the country, we were crushed. We had all of our rentals and an amazing caterer but needed a roof to have over our heads as high winds and significant rains were expected. We had people calling venues all over the state with no luck. Trailing a U-Haul of DIY signs and decorations, we stopped at the Asbury Hotel on our way home from the park. We met Matt and the magic happened! He had an event ending at 3pm the next day and said if our vendors could do it, he would make it happen. Our caterer, Falco’s went into high gear and in just over 24 hours we had the most magical wedding at a totally different venue. Under a time constraint of less than 3 hours, the team at the Asbury Hotel along with our caterer @falcoscatering, rental company, @oceantents, florist, @floramoon, photographer, @ashleymacphotographs and DJ, @unforgettabledjs, put together the most spectacular affair with every detail perfected. Our guests can not stop complimenting us, but it was the magic of the Asbury Hotel and our vendors that made Megan and Spencer’s dream wedding come true. As our now son-in-law said a few days after- "It was not what we imagined, but it was more than we could have ever dreamed." We can not thank Matt, Amy and their staff at the Asbury Hotel enough for turning our wedding tragedy into an unbelievable success! I don't think you can find too many venues or vendors that could put on a wedding in less than 24 hours! Besides rave reviews, the greatest compliment from all of our guests is that they said they would never have know this was not our planned venue.
What an extraordinary venue and team!! My wife and I got married at The Asbury Hotel in June 2021 just as NJ Covid restrictions began to lift. Throughout many months of uncertainty, up until our big day, we truly could not be more appreciative of Teresa’s honesty, flexibility, and diligence. This woman deserves an enormous recognition for the time and effort she put into making sure there was always an alternate plan as state restrictions changed.
Teresa, Joseph, and Matt are PHENOMENAL and an absolute pleasure to work with. To second what other couples have emphasized, we could not speak more highly of their professionalism. They go above and beyond to exceed your expectations.
The Asbury Hotel was everything we wanted and more. (and if you still have any gas left in you by the end of the night, we highly recommend continuing the party at the hotel’s rooftop bar, Salvation - so. much. fun.)
My husband and I hosted our wedding in Asbury Lanes which is attached to the hotel. It was an unconventional venue for a wedding, but it was absolutely perfect for us. The venue barely needs any decor because there are already so many cool fixtures, from the bar, to the stage, to the American Flag made out of bowling balls hanging from the ceiling. We bowled, ate disco tots and danced our butts off. If you’re looking to have a PARTY, have it at the Lanes.
Matt and Amy from The Asbury were absolute pleasures to work with. They worked with us throughout our two wedding rescheduled (thanks COVID) and they were so helpful throughout it all. We worked closely with Matt getting towards our wedding day, and to put it simply, he’s the best! He was responsive, accommodating and made really great suggestions.
I wish we could have our wedding all over again, because it was the best party of our lives. Thank you Asbury Hotel, Lanes and the entire staff!!! We will remember this day for a lifetime.

He was super communicative throughout the 2 year process of actually making our big wedding reception happen! On the day of it was really special to have him (AND JOE) by my side, making me laugh and keeping me calm- sweetest guys in the world!
5 stars also go to the venue itself- absolutely gorgeous using the roof top for the ceremony and if you're a big Asbury fan, having sunset on the roof while you recite your vows...NOTHING ELSE COMPARES! The venue is super fun and we used the lobby for the pictures and after party, which was so convenient!
4 stars are for the following: we were not super pleased with the brunch the next day (but you can definitely opt out!) it was over priced and we didn't have enough chairs or coffee for our guests.
1000000/10 would recommend. Do not second guess this decision. My husband and I started our relationship in Asbury Park, so it was only right that we got married here. The Asbury Hotel was the ideal location, because it is extremely modern and open to truly making the space your own. We opted to have a small wedding ceremony of 30 people in the cocktail hour space a few hours before (for the sunlight and no first look), which is simply stunning and then take pictures during the 3 hours in-between. During that time the staff prepared for cocktail hour and then we all made the transition into the outdoor tent. The staff at The Asbury truly went above and beyond for us. Teresa Dantone is the BEST at what she does. She insured all our vendors worked together to make the space look exactly how we had envisioned it, gave advice when it was needed, and really made us feel comfortable the whole entire experience. We had a smile on our face for months and they haven't gone away yet! She checked in when needed and really worked with us. She even surprised us with backstage passes to a concert (that we really wanted to go to!) that was taking place at the Asbury Lanes next door and shirts in our room, when we got back. She was OUT OF THIS WORLD! Everyone at The Asbury Hotel was so kind, warm, accommodating, and professional the whole entire weekend. We could not have asked for a better wedding experience! xo
My Husband and I got married at The Asbury in September and I truly could not have imagined a more perfect day. We were lucky enough to work with both Matt and Teresa, who were nothing short of absolute rock stars. When we needed to postpone due to COVID, Matt was incredibly responsive and more importantly, supportive of our decision. We were so relieved at how incredibly easy he made what seemed like a huge and daunting task. After working with him for two years and gaining Teresa along the way, it truly felt like they were more than just coordinators; it felt like they were close friends who were just as excited to celebrate as us! One of my favorite moments with the team was seeing Matt right before I walked down the aisle...I mean, how special is that?! The entire experience just felt like so much more than most people probably have with their wedding venue team. I truly cannot recommend them enough.
We had a great experience working with the Asbury Hotel to plan our wedding. Due to covid, we cancelled our originally planned wedding and ended up pulling together a wedding about the half the size with 3 months of prep. Working off the preferred vendor list from the Asbury Hotel, we were able to find great partners who helped us bring our vision to life. Overall Matt at the Asbury was extremely responsive and flexible, always willing to answer our questions. All of our guests had such a great time and appreciated the casual yet elegant atmosphere we created. While the dance floor was always crowded, the most unexpected hit of the wedding was the large scale jenga set outside. Towards the end of the night there was an pretty epic tournament going on with friends and family.

We got married on location at The Asbury Hotel rooftop and it was absolutely stunning. After a COVID postponement (which the team handled with grace) we had long awaited the big day and the team at the Asbury made sure it was perfect. Teresa was amazing. She handled every task with ease, answered every question and the weekend of the wedding she made me feel like her top priority (even though I know she was doing a million other things...including 2 other weddings that weekend). We had such an amazing experience working with the team at the Asbury. They handled everything with all of our vendors and made the day flow by without a hitch. The rooftop for the ceremony provided ocean views for all of our guests and was absolutely gorgeous. The flow from ceremony to reception was flawless and the everything looked amazing and was right where it was supposed to be (and I was nervous about this since I didn't have a day of planner). Teresa made sure everything was perfect and I'm so grateful to have had her leading the team on the big day. I also want to mention Lynn at the front desk who was amazing in getting all our guests checked in and helping me collect all of our leftover belongings on the morning after. Thanks again to the entire team at The Asbury Hotel!
I can't recommend The Asbury enough!!! We booked during Covid with plans of doing a small, intimate wedding (50 people). I was nervous during planning that it would feel *too* small or look like we're in too large of a space, but you would have never known during our wedding! We worked with Teresa, who was the easiest, most helpful person to work with throughout our process. She made things so seamless for us and I would do it a million times over if given the chance. If you're looking at The Asbury, don't hesitate.. book it now!!
