The Aurora Inn Hotel & Event Center

setup, we ended up working them out but it felt like because there were events before and after ours, like ours wasn’t a priority and we had to work around everyone else. The cake was delivered the morning of the event and I asked if it could be stored in a fridge, the response was we’d have to wait to see if a chef allowed it, so they stored it in a lobby cooler. When I asked for them to bring the cake into the event, they brought it in the box and we had to unpack and cut and serve our own cake. The only times there were servers working the event was when food was going out or needing cleaned up, there was no one behind the bar or taking drink orders for the majority of the event, and the servers were all sitting in the other event room chatting. We had to ask for attention multiple times. As we had our kids passing out the cake, more than 30 min before out time was up, the event manager came up to me to let me know that the final bill would be emailed to me, and then we didn’t see anyone else in the room for the remainder of our time there. We took pictures outside and during that time they also cleared all of the remaining buffet food and instead of asking if we’d like to take it, they threw it all out without any communication around it. When we received the bill we were charged $105/bottle for 3 bottles of champagne for our toast instead of $35/bottle so we had to call and request a reimbursement and pickup a check. The space was great but the service was disappointing. 

show and the place sells itself really. So quaint and cute, I was already in love. But then Cindy recognized us from the show and gave us a full tour!! I knew then that if I had a wedding block here we would be treated well. I booked it and my rehearsal dinner as well. The food and service was 10/10 and my guests loved it. We were devastated to find out the bar wasn’t gonna be open after our wedding due to an event at the hotel… but Cindy came in and opened the bar herself and bartended to ensure we had the wedding weekend we dreamed of!!

here, we stumbled upon the Aurora Inn when we were looking for a restaurant for dinner and decided to try the Six Horses Tavern. Franz (the owner) was our server that night as they were short staffed and his charm and hospitality really made me feel like I was welcome and from that point I knew I wanted my wedding guests to experience that same warm welcome. The hotel itself is beautiful and so charming and the entire staff really goes above and beyond to make sure every guest receives the best service. From our rooms to our rehearsal dinner everything was perfect. Cindy and Franz we're so helpful and were always available to answer my questions and made sure that everything went according to plan. I would recommend them highly for events or if you're looking for a cute little get away!

s amazing. We did a plated lunch and I still think about the salmon! Delicious! The space for the shower was beautiful. Cindy was extremely helpful and professional. She always took the time to answer questions and made sure we had everything we needed. The shower went so well we ended up hosting the rehearsal dinner and a breakfast the day after our wedding at the Aurora Inn! As far as the room block, everyone raved about their stays. Our guests kept commenting on the cozy/quaint feel of the Inn and the high quality service! I would absolutely recommend the Aurora Inn to others and will consider them for other events in the future!
