We love love loved the Austin. The moment we walked into the venue, we knew this space was the right one for us! They were fabulous and took care of everything they said they would. Sydney, the venue coordinator was a delight to work with and ensured many of our questions were answered quickly. Every detail included with their package was perfection. The garage doors leading to the outdoor space was also a fabulous touch to our perfect day!! We would choose them over and over again!!
We had our wedding ceremony and reception at The Austin and was a perfect fit for our needs. The team worked well with our other vendors, including event planner, DJ, florist, caterers, etc. We got compliments from lots of our guests. The venue is a space that is beautiful on it’s own and it didn’t need a lot of extra decorations to make the space come alive. We were extremely pleased with the execution of our wedding day and would recommend this location to any couple!

We got married here last month and cannot recommend Cherry Hall enough! Sydney and the whole Abbot Event group are incredible to work with and will help make sure everything is just the way you want. We were able to use all three spaces-ceremony’s and reception in the main hall, cocktail hour in the lounge and during the reception we opened the garage doors and guests were able to move in and out with ease! If you are considering this place, look no further!
Cherry Hall is a great event space that uses both their inside and outside space! We had our Welcome Party here and it was awesome. Sydney was easy to work with and made sure all of our vendors had everything they needed from the Band to the Food Trucks outside.

Cherry Hall couldn't have been a more perfect venue for our wedding! We debated between Cherry Hall and Union Station (very different I know) but ended up deciding on Cherry Hall because of the outdoor space, beautiful décor and ultimately how we felt it would be a more fun/intimate experience for our family and friends. The team with Abbott is great and were so helpful throughout the year leading up to our wedding. They were always there to answer my questions via email or even let us come out to Cherry Hall whenever to look around. Shoutout to Grace Chappell for introducing us to the venue and walking us through the begging stages and then to Addie Doxey for helping us leading up to our special day! Cherry Hall is so beautiful! This venue is located in the perfect spot central in KC and, with new management, is absolutely a must-have for your wedding day. I had my wedding at Cherry Hall in October 2020. New management had recently taken it over which at first made me nervous. But after meeting with Emily, she reassured me the wedding of my dreams was still going to happen. Cherry Hall is a BEAUTIFUL venue! We held our ceremony outside and our reception inside. One of the main focal points is their gorgeous bar, which was perfect for our guest count. Emily was absolutely amazing to work with and very quick to respond to emails/questions!

We do not recommend Cherry Hall. We had a terrible experience with our wedding. They ran out of food for a table and a half of our guests and all our vendors. I discovered this while walking from table to table to say hello to my guests. I was mortified. Getting a refund for the never served meals was a disaster as well. It kept the memory of our ruined reception present in my mind for months after the event.
In addition, they used awful plates for the entrees. They were southwest themed, casual, oblong and didn’t fit on our round chargers, ruining the elegant look of our tables I spent months designing.
Save yourself the heartache, host your wedding elsewhere.
While Cherry Hall itself is a beautiful venue that does not require much for decoration and they have an in house caterer which makes coordinating easy, I would be hesitant to book this venue again. We had several issues with the venue coordinator, AnnaMarie, and the management. In the fall of 2019, Cherry Hall’s parent company filed for bankruptcy. I found this out via a social media post. After frantically emailing the venue coordinator, we did not receive much information about the filing. We held our breath and prayed everything would work out since we fell in love with the space.
Our wedding would be Cherry Hall’s first event since everything shut down in March 2020 due to COVID. We did our final walk through Cherry Hall 2 weeks out from our wedding. We saw a large puddle in the middle of the floor caused by a faulty air conditioning unit. The landscaping in the courtyard was also dead and weeds were taller than myself. We were given the coordinators sworn word that both issues would be addressed in the following week. I drove by the venue 3 days prior to our wedding date and the weeds were still present. I called my day of wedding coordinator (shout-out to Trinity Events for being amazing!!) who then called Cherry Hall’s coordinator and got the ball rolling on the landscape.
Come to the day of wedding and our florist showed up 15 minutes early with all the flowers in her car. She was told that she could not come in and would need to come back in 15 minutes.
When guests arrived, we had cocktail hour in the courtyard with the garage doors open. When guests began sitting for the dinner portion, there was again a large puddle in the middle of the floor from the broken AC. Cherry Hall’s solution was to shut off the AC. Our wedding was in August so you can imagine how hot that made it inside. Again shoutout to my amazing day of coordinator’s team who were personally mopping up the lake on the floor without me even knowing. So the AC issues that we brought up 2 weeks ago was never addressed.
We also signed a contract that we would pay a 20% tip for all serving and bar tending staff as part of our final bill so that a tip jar would not need to be set out. That evening, tip jars were placed out on the bar. I understand Covid has affected many incomes of the service industry, however it was unprofessional to ask our guests to tip the staff on top of our already paid tip.
The final straw with Cherry Hall that broke the camel’s back is the food. We had 10 people not show up due to Covid concerns so there should have been at least 10 leftover meals that were not eaten. We had wedding guests go up to get seconds for dinner and they were told by Cherry Hall staff that they could not get seconds. Come to find out, the Cherry Hall staff was eating all of our leftovers in the back when someone walked by and saw them. All of these issues were brought up with Cherry Hall’s coordinator who had very little sympathy nor apology for how everything played out that day.
In conclusion, the venue itself is beautiful and conveniently located, but if could go back and do it all again, I would pick a different venue with a more professional staff

I have been in the events industry for quite some time now and I cannot say enough good things about this venue! AnnaMarie Foster was an AMAZING contact and extremely helpful. Not to mention, so genuine and always had our best interests in mind. She was amazing to work with and our day wouldn't have been the same without her. This venue is super accommodating and truly has all the bells and whistles. I had my ceremony and reception here and did a full flip - our guests said it felt like two venues!
