Beware this venue!!! You absolutely get what you pay for!
When we first discovered this venue, we called it our diamond in the rough. When we toured it, it was beautiful and exactly what we wanted- so we quickly booked.
About a month before our wedding, we reached out to the owner for a second tour. Upon arrival, we discovered that they had but an office in the middle of the floor. This office disrupted the flow of the venue, and took up a significant portion of the already limited space- it was absolutely not what we signed our contract for. I'd like to add that this was never told to us that it was happening until we arrived that day. No courtesy text or email, nothing. Just bam. We decided to just deal with it.
We also booked their Airbnb that is a few doors down for the day before and the night of the wedding- which is important.
We also contacted her and asked if we would be able to come in the night before to decorate, which she did allow us to do thankfully at no charge.
The day before our wedding comes and we arrive at the Airbnb/venue to decorate. We decorate from 11am-around 630 ish and then leave. We return to the AirBnb at 10:30. We proceed to unpack our clothes for the night, I shower but my husband does not, and then inspect the bed (Which had stains- pictured, but was otherwise okay). This was the first time we noticed how disgusting and run down the Airbnb was. So much so that we had to wipe down the counter tops and change our socks because our feet were black. At around 12am, we notice the first bug. Then more. We then decide that we were not comfortable staying overnight. So we go home (and we have proof of this per life360 as well as our own home security cameras). Had this been our only issue, I wouldn't be leaving as bad of a review. However there is much more.
The next morning we return to the venue to get ready. The owner decides during our rehursal the day of that it is a good time to pop in and be in her office. Extremely unprofessional as she had assured us that she would not be there the day of. But we moved on.
Later that evening, when catering arrived, we discovered that the dishes the venue had provided for food and drink were FILTHY. My wedding party had to spend the hour before our wedding washing dishes and getting the space clean for our guests, causing our wedding to be delayed.
Then, during the reception, bugs were crawling on the tables!!!
We managed to get through the event and packed all of our things up. We had been given permission verbally to move furniture, and we paid extra to have their maid clean up. We, again, did not stay at the airbnb again that night (again we have proof).
In the days following the wedding, my husband reached out to the owner. He felt as though we were owed some sort of compensation for our issues, although I just wanted an apology. The owner greeted us with hostility trying to insinuate that we were lying and HAD stayed in the Airbnb overnight and that she herself had inspected the venue prior to our use. She also stated that we broke contract by not putting furniture back despite the verbal agreement that we did not need to as long as it was indoors. She said we should have contacted her during, but were we supposed to stop our wedding?!
She then directed us to her lawyer.
So this is a warning!!! This venue is filthy, and the owners lack accountability and when presented with proof, resort to scare tactics of lawyers.
You. Get. What. You. Pay. For
Had my wedding there of 2023 and I couldn’t ask for anything better. She was very helpful had everything put together and it came out perfect.
