The Barn at Cedar Hill

The vendor was great to work with. She made everything simple, and was very helpful at all times. This venue is a steal regarding its price and beauty. All of my guests raved about how wonderful of a venue it was. I would strongly recommend it!

Other than this location being so amazingly beautiful, I enjoyed dealing with Lisa and Ben so much! From the very first email, the first encounter and venue tour to the end of our wedding day (and all of my stressed out messages and questions in between) Lisa was there to help and to accomodate our needs. She is very organized, professional and understanding(and super sweet too!). She runs her venue EXCELLENTLY and is constantly improving the way things work so things can flow perfectly at your wedding. The day of, Lisa was readily available and we had two hostess' there the entire event making sure everything was running smoothly, even to the smallest detail of making sure the bathrooms were stocked and clean! We were taken aback by how incredibly perfect our reception turned out to be and the lovely team at Cedar Hill definitely influenced that. I have NO REGRET whatsoever of having chosen this venue, and nothing negative to say. Honestly, it was our dream come true. THANK YOU LISA AND CEDAR HILL TEAM! We love you!!

If I could give this venue more than 5 stars I definitely would! I got married on June 22 and it was more than I could have ever imagined. Even a month later, my guests still comment on how beautiful the venue was and how perfect everything went. Lisa is such a joy to work with and responded quickly to emails throughout the entire year and a half between when I booked the venue and my wedding day. She also made sure to contact me with any changes or updates regarding the barn. Lisa and her family built this barn from the ground up, so she is going to make sure that everyone (guests, the bridal party, vendors, etc.) are taking care of it to her standards. I never had an issue with Lisa being rude throughout the whole process. A few weeks before the wedding, she went over the layout and where I wanted everything to go. On the day of the wedding, she worked together with my coordinator and other vendors to set everything up. The only small downside is that the bridal suite is small and there is no place onsite for the groom and groomsmen to get ready. We ended up booking lake houses on High Rock Lake, which worked out great because we had separate areas to get ready without having to worry about seeing each other! I wish I could relive my wedding day over and over! Everything went absolutely perfect and I could not think of a better place to have my wedding!!

My wedding was a dream and Lisa was very attentive from answering my questions to her helping set up for my wedding and giving me tips. I chose this venue not only because it’s beautiful, but because it’s also budget friendly! I would highly recommend this venue to any future bride.

I attended a weeding at this venue in November and the scenery was absolutely beautiful. the venue was adorable and super quaint. I was considering using them myself for a wedding but I am only going to pass for this reason alone. I came on the knot to search for venues and looked for this one specifically because I just attended a wedding. At the wedding indid here from me members of the bridal party that the owners were not very nice and just blatantly ride. I didn't pay any mind because I work with the general public and they are difficult to begin with. However, being a venue and seeing the most recent remarks I don't think it's that and I'm pretty sue that this would be a difficult location for many people. Not all but many. However, this place is gorgeous and does have quite a bit of positives. So brides just beware

Owners are very rude. I was apart of a wedding on Novemebr 11th. Everything was perfect except the owners. Not sure if it was just us, but I'd be very careful.

My wedding took place at this venue in 2017. The barn backdrop is very bride's pinterest dream wedding. I certainly had my pinterest wedding here. I worked with the owners, the florist, the caterer, the DJ, and my director for months to make my dreams come true. The wedding day went so smoothly and couldn't ask for anything better in my eyes with everything falling into place. However, I was very disappointed with the owner's hospitality to my vendors, my bridal party, and guests. We gave them no trouble and always made sure to communicate things with them. However, there were comments made to my other vendors that were not necessary by any means. They also upset some of my guests by comments they made. I would recommend this venue to anyone for its beautiful scenery but just keep in mind some of the comments you might receive. I know my vendors that helped me put on my wedding were not very impressed with the hospitality that the owners showed and that is very unfortunate to here from a bride who wanted everyone to be happy (guests and vendors included). Rude remarks were even made to my bridal party as they were helping clean up the venue which they were not required to do they did it out of the goodness of their heart. All my other vendors were very easy to work with, cleaned up after themselves, and even offer to help in other ways. I understand that you want to keep your venue in good shape and under control, but that doesn't give you the right to be rude to your customers when all they are trying to do is put on a wonderful wedding for their families and friends.

I wish The Knot would let me give this beautiful venue more than just 5 stars because 5 just doesn't seem like enough. Lisa is the most kind and understanding venue owner we have met. We had a unique situation where my original venue was sold two months before my wedding. While we were frantically searching for a new place, I discovered this beautiful barn! Lisa welcomed us with open arms, scheduled a tour as quickly as possible and the ease of booking this venue was incredible! The day before the wedding Lisa was there to show us the best way to set up the barn as well as lend a helping hand! My guests continuously raved and commented on how beautiful the reception venue was and how they had never seen a barn like this! If you really want an experience for your guests and a venue that will wow them all, book this venue! If I had to do it all over again, I would never think twice about The Barn at Cedar Hill being the venue for the most special day of our lives! Thank you so much Lisa and Ben, you have truly made one of the most unique and one-of-a-kind venues, and I am so happy that I was lucky enough to be a Cedar Hill Bride!
