We had our wedding at The Barn on 3/27/2026, and it’s hard to put into words just how incredible the entire experience was. The atmosphere, the food, the staff—everything was truly 100/10. Emily was with us from the very first tour and remained responsive, patient, and helpful throughout the entire 14-month planning process. Carl, the maître d’, went above and beyond all night, constantly making sure my husband, our guests, and I were taken care of. CeCe, our bridal attendant, was by our side the whole time, making sure both we and our bridal party had everything we needed. From booking to the big day, the entire team at The Barn exceeded our expectations. We truly can’t recommend this venue enough—it’s such a hidden gem!

Emily was amazing throughout the entire planning process. She made everything simple and stress-free and was always there with quick answers to my questions. On the wedding day, the maître d', Carl, kept everything running seamlessly and kept us laughing throughout the day. Our bridal attendant, Amber, was beyond exceptional. After months of planning, we didn’t have to think about a single thing, everything was handled with such care.
The food was also outstanding. Our family and friends are still raving about how delicious everything was. Even though it ended up being one of the hottest days of the year, we still had the most amazing day ever. We couldn’t have asked for a better team or a more perfect venue to celebrate our wedding.

e spring/summer are verdant and rustic! You and your guests are surrounded by meadows, forests, beautiful birds and picturesque vistas that feature stables, barns and a model early 19th century L.I. farming village. You are allowed to take full advantage of the grounds for an outdoor cocktail hour, for your ceremony and for dreamy, positively gorgeous wedding photographs! The Barn has lovely high ceilings; it is comfortably climate controlled; it has ample space for dancing and seating, and it lends itself beautifully to all kinds of decoration and floral arrangements. On a personal note, I love that you can smell the sweet aroma of wood when you enter the Barn's interior. Another plus is the Barn has a private, comfy, fully furnished bridal suite w/ a bathroom! It came in handy for getting dressed up, for storing my belongings and for stealing a few minutes of quiet for myself during the party. 2) The staff! They were rockstars! I worked very closely with sales manager/ maître d' Emily Virgil. For months we emailed back and forth, spoke on the phone and met up during the wedding planning process. Emily is extremely attentive, gracious, well-organized and punctual. I also really appreciate her attention to detail and her responsiveness! Communicating and planning things with her was fun, low-stress and efficient. Unfortunately, Emily was unable to be maitre d' at my wedding because she had a family affair to attend. However, she was super diligent about making sure that the 2 days before my wedding and the program/ planning for my wedding day was streamlined stress-free. The maitre d' at my wedding who filled in for Emily was Carmelo/Carl. Carl was great! He quickly got a feel for me, and my family's vibes/wishes, and he did an excellent job managing the flow of the party, partnering with the other vendors (I used a DJ, a singer, outside catering and a florist) and made sure that we were comfortable and happy throughout the wedding. Carl is charming, warm and I very much enjoyed working with him. Lastly, shoutout to my bridal attendant Amber! She was so lovely! Amber made me smile and helped me feel at ease and comfortable throughout the party (especially while I was photographed. Lol I hate being photographed). Amber anticipated my needs but was never pushy and always respected my space. 3) The flexibility of the venue! You didn't have to commit to having the ceremony inside or outside. You were given the choice to choose the day of. You could opt to have the ceremony whichever direction on the meadow that you liked. You could bring in your own vendors without friction or pushback. You could update seating, and the floorplan as needed.

I left every meeting with Emily feeling confident in the team and relaxed. Going with The Barn felt like the best of both worlds in terms of wedding venues. We had all of the convenience and benefits of using a Lessings Establishment but also still had the opportunity to make it feel like our own and to really add our own personality to the space. It does not feel like a typical wedding venue, which was something really important to us in choosing our venue. On the night of the wedding our Maitre D’ Carl was amazing! . Working with Emily and Carl was beyond magnificent! Service was incredible. We had many requests and planned many surprises for our guests making it quite complicated for them. They went above and beyond and said no to nothing. They made it work no matter how hard. If we dreamed it, they made it happen. They made our wedding an event to remember for years to come with every detail, responding on their days off, coming in early, working so hard to carry out every small request...this was a dream wedding for our 200 plus guests. They are still talking about it! I highly recommend the barn as a unique rustic beautiful event space that exceeded our expectations above and beyond! The food was amazing, our outdoor ceremony magnificent, and the concern to make our wishes come to fruition was their mission. I will forever be grateful for their talents and hard work. any rustic venue you'll find on Long Island and now with the most beautiful bridal suite and onsite kitchen! We booked the venue before the kitchen and bridal suite were even a part of it because its absolutely gorgeous. Now with these additions, I couldn't imagine why anyone would want another venue. Although stunning on its own, the staff are really made The Barn that much better. Emily was with us every step of the way in planning and always answered any of the million questions we had. She worked with us on every single detail and made our dreams come true. We would have been lost without her. Then we have Carl, the absolute best maitre d' on the face of this planet! He was right by mine, my husbands, and my entire family's side all day. Honestly, I don't know how he did it. He was right there when I needed him always. I met Carl when I was in my friends wedding as her maitre d' and he made such an impression on us then. He did not disappoint us on our big day!
One thing I want to point out that really stuck out was how they handled a situation that made me love them that much more. I have a LARGE family and we are all superbly close. I have a cousin who is 6 months older than I and we grew up like siblings. He has autism and can struggle in settings like a large, loud wedding. With that, cocktail hour was not his forte. He had a hard time and came to my husband and I while we were running around before the reception started. I barely had to speak to Emily and Carl before they were helping us. They were so supportive and understanding. They went so far as to get him some orange juice in the bridal suite which made his night. When I went to check on my cousin at one point in the night, he said "I'm okay, Carl is my guy". That is attention and service that just cannot be matched. I cannot thank them enough for all they did to make my wedding the best wedding some of our family and friends had ever been to, but truly cannot thank them enough for all they did for my family and I. I love The Barn!

Emily was easy to reach when we had questions or issues and was always helpful. Carl and Natalie worked with us primarily on the day of the event and were also professional, attentive, and helpful throughout.
The only issues I had were that the bathrooms were not fully renovated, bridal suite did not feel air conditioned, & kitchen has not been completed yet.
Overall it was a wonderful event; the barn looked beautiful especially in the evening with the lighting.

id an incredible job down to every last detail. Working with Emily, Carl and Estee was such a pleasure. They were all so professional, attentive and kind and did everything they could to make sure the day went smoothly. For months leading up to our wedding, Emily was always checking in with us and reminding us about upcoming appointments and things we needed to do. On our wedding day, Carl and Estee consistently checked in with us and asked if we needed anything, which we really appreciated. Everyone really went above and beyond to make our day special and run seamlessly. The food was excellent from cocktail hour to dinner to dessert and our guests came up to us all night long saying how much they enjoyed the food, the party and the venue itself. We cannot thank the team at Lessings enough for all of their hard work and for making our dream wedding a reality!

Natalie, our bridal attendant, was absolutely phenomenal and she made sure I had my signature drink in my hand all night and was so helpful with helping me get information to any of my vendors night of and doing some last minute changes.
I would absolutely recommend this venue, you will NOT regret it one bit. If I could do it all over again I most certainly would only bc I had the best absolute night of my life. A huge thank you to everyone at the barn who helped make my day special!

The venue itself was absolutely breathtaking on our big day - from the outdoor ceremony as the sun started to set, to the tented cocktail hour out on the field, to the reception inside the beautiful barn itself. We were a little nervous that there is no on-site kitchen, but we’re thrilled to report that the food catered by Lessings from their field kitchen was EXCELLENT. For dinner, we shared the filet mignon with mashed potatoes and the porcini-crusted chicken with Tuscan risotto - they were both absolutely delicious. Our guests also raved about dinner, as well as the food during cocktail hour. We especially loved that we were able to have a huge selection of foods during cocktail hour, including Italian, Asian, Mexican, and American cuisine, as well as a raw bar. From the start, Emily, the sales manager for The Barn, was such a pleasure to work with. Not only was she kind and informative, she was extremely patient with all of our questions leading up to our big day. She was there the day through cocktail hour to ensure everything was running smoothly, and we can’t thank her enough for everything she did. My bridal attendant, Shannon, was an absolute angel. She was always within reach in case I needed anything at all, which I often did, and she was so happy to help. She also kept checking in to see if I needed to step away for a breather and offered reassuring words when I was feeling nervous. I didn’t realize how much I would appreciate all her help until the day arrived and I’m so lucky to have had such a wonderful attendant! Carl (assisted by Barbara) was our Maitre’d and he was also wonderful. He made sure everything ran smoothly, starting from the day before when we dropped several decorations and items that were used throughout the day. We never had to worry about a thing because he had everything organized and ready to go. He was constantly making sure we had everything we needed and made sure we took time to eat. By the end of the night, it was as if he was just another one of our friends! We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day and we’re so thankful for Lessings & The Barn.

Every detail was perfect, I couldn't be more thankful for the support the Barn provided through out the wedding planning process. The venue manager/event coordinator EMILY was SO helpful, kind, patient, and responsive through out an already stressful time PLUS it was the height of the everchanging covid restrictions. Thank god for her! She answered all of my MANY questions and handled every detail to make it as perfect and smooth as possible. The food was also sooo good, and the grounds were gorgeous! I know everyone says this but it really was a perfect day and I could not have asked for a better venue to say I Do. The entire staff the day of was also fantastic. I'm not a huge reviewer but I absolutely had to give them all the support I could, BOOK THEM!

every question ( I asked a lot of questions ) and assisted us all the way. On the wadding day the entire staff was great especially Natalie and Carl. Even Emily stayed the whole night overseeing everything. The cocktail hour and dinner were excellent and Emily was able to provide us with a special request for the bar. This location for a wedding was exactly what my daughter and son-in-law were looking for. It is so unique and the property is tremendous. I highly recommend the Barn! Ask for Emily V - Natalie and Carl - the best!

The big day was a huge success which I can honestly attribute to working with Emily Virgil, the sales manager. I truly cannot say enough good things about her. Emily was my point person for everything for eleven months. She was extremely professional, kind, overly accommodating and always steered me in the right direction. I was anxious for much of the planning and reached out to Emily frequently. She always responded promptly with a positive attitude and had an answer to all my questions. Emily coordinated with all my vendors effortlessly and knew all my wedding details like the back of her hand. Working with her I truly felt comfortable and reassuring.
The barn is full of raw beauty while at the same time is a perfect blank slate to create any vision.
The food was great in regards to quality and taste. The options of fun, creative add ons and cocktail hour stations really wowed my guests. I had a south of the border station, mac and cheese station, shipwreck seafood station, Chinese food station. I had added Ralph's ices station to dessert as well as a white castle take away station for guests go grab on their way out. Everyone loved it!
This venue is absolutely amazing. My only negative feedback is that it is confusing for guests to find the barn the day of the party. My only recommendation is that they do more to make it easier for guest to find.
I also feel it is important to mention that Lessings covid policy is the best out there in regards to the pandemic. Knowing that I would be fully refunded if I needed to cancel or could switch the date without being penalized was extremely reassuring during these unprecedented times. This was my initial reason for looking up Lessings venues to begin with prior to falling in love with the barn.
The company itself as well as the wonderful staff really make you feel taken care of and did right by their brides, which is why I felt so strongly about leaving this review. Thank you to Emily Virgil and Lessings for making my day so special!

ectations. We ended up having 140 guests at the barn and I think the added space and airiness was perfect given the circumstances. We were able to drop off our personal items the day before and Emily, Barbara and other crew members were there to help us with that while also giving us free range of what we had in mind to decorate. The food and drinks were great as commented on by many guests. Emily, my bridal attendant was very sweet and helpful. We planned our wedding in 9 months during a pandemic and Emily helped make it as smooth as possible. Would recommend our venue over and over!

ut the whole process. Emily answered all our constant phone calls, was so patient with us, and truly went above and beyond to make it the best day possible. They provided the medical professionals to test our guests, made sure everyone was safe and welcome, and worked really hard to make sure we felt special. The food was absolutely delicious and everyone loved it! Highly recommend doing a "take away" station instead of a party favor at the end. We did White Castle which was part of our package and everyone loved it! HIGHLY recommend!!

n at noon. The next day I received an e-mail from the gentleman in charge, regarding the venue packages and availability. I responded right away inquiring when I could see it. I did not receive a response for a couple days, and because my fiancé and I have very limited times when we’re both available to see the venue, we had to lock down a time soon. That being said, if we liked it we probably would have booked it on the spot. I followed up with a phone call and was told again that this gentleman was not available. The next day I received an email from him that I could only see it at 11am on the day if my choice. I replied eagerly that 11am works and rearranged my weekend to make that happen. I never received confirmation from him, but assumed we were good to go. Come that morning, I actually was very ill and despite my extreme disappointment, I had my fiancé call on my behalf to cancel. When he got connected with them, they told him we were not in the appointment book anyway. That was bothersome to me, but since I wasn’t feeling well, I spent the evening researching other venues. We ended up visiting a different one that I fell in love with and booked on spot. It blows my mind to think that not only did they potentially lose 100K from myself and the previous reviewer, but that a business centered around hospitality and service, would fall so short in this category. I guess they assume they will always be busy, but should watch out for the developing negative reputation.

es of The Barn, on September 8th in which he sent me the available dates and menus. I responded on 9/9 about coming by for a tour, and initially he responded right away. He emailed me back that day and said he could schedule me for a tour on either October 4th @ 12:30, or October 5th at 12, 1, or 1:30.
I responded back less than 20 minutes later stating that October 5th would be great at any of the available times... sadly that was the last I heard from Adam. He NEVER bothered to email or call with a confirmation of any kind. On September 16th I tried to email in order to confirm our tour of the venue for 10/5, but again NEVER received a response of any kind.
Finally, after calling several phone numbers I was able to get in touch with someone from the Dover Group on September 30th at around 9:15 in the morning (their number is not easy to find). The woman I spoke to said I would "need to talk to Adam, but he doesn't come in till 12." I explained my situation to her and left her my phone number, to which she claimed she would let Adam know and he would get back to me later that day... again, NEVER heard back from him.
Sadly, October 5th came and went without any response or confirmation for us to come by for a tour. That being said, my fiance and I now have ZERO interest in booking our wedding at The Barn nor will we ever recommend it to anyone we know.

a perfect choice for our October wedding. Laurie (catering) and Rosa (rentals) were so helpful and responsive from day one - I cannot thank them enough! They made the whole planning process easy and were wonderful to work with. The entire Dover staff was also wonderful on our wedding night!
My only call out would be that I didn't love the DJ they worked with at the time of our wedding, I didn't think he followed what we had discussed in all our calls leading up to the wedding (and he asked for a LOT of detail - so I was surprised). That may have just been a one off issue for us though. However, Rosa was there the whole night and was helpful in speaking with him and getting him back on track when we approached her about it, which I was very appreciative of.
Overall, I'd recommend the barn to any bride!

I was a little nervous about the idea of the food having to be brought in but, Laurie who is in charge of the catering from the Dover group assured me everything would be fine and it was. The food was amazing and they cook the meat on site. We were able to walk about the village and get some amazing pictures. My guest still talk about how beautiful the wedding was and how much fun they had till this day.

ok at before booking! Make sure to walk around the grounds, there are great spots for photos!! From the beginning we worked with Rosa from Dream Events and Laurie from Dover Catering and they were such a pleasure to work with. They made sure my husband and I were happy with EVERYTHING! and Dream Events NY. I worked directly with Laurie (Dover Catering) and Rosa (Dream Events NY). If you can request them, definitely do! They were SO helpful, especially since I was planning my whole wedding on my own. I have only positive things to say! It was the most magical day!

l staff that we dealt without throughout the process. On the day of the wedding, the guests were overwhelmed by the beauty of the Barn and raved about the food! The DJ was great and everyone was dancing and having a great time! I would recommend this venue to anyone looking for an "outside the box" wedding venue!
