understatement. It was certainly never our intention to disappoint you or make you feel neglected. I sincerely regret the misunderstanding about a wedding coordinator. Your signed contract clearly states that we require our couples to obtain a coordinator, that we do not provide one. The role of an operations manager is to be a venue liaison for couples, their planners and other vendors. We try to be as responsive as possible to all of our couples. Although our records indicate response times to you ranging from within minutes to within 48 hours, my sincere apologies if you feel that we fell short in that regard. When you advised us of the personal situation that resulted in your desire to cancel your event with us, you may recall my response: "On the rare occasions that a couple has to cancel their event, our first goal is to reschedule for a new date and apply the initial payment to the new event.  There is no fee or penalty to do so. We require a new date to be selected within 30 days of the cancellation. Would that be an option for you and if so, can I check on future date availability for you?" This clearly shows our intention to be as flexible as possible with the goal of protecting your investment. Unfortunately, you chose not to reschedule or plan another event and, in fairness to the many couples who adhere to the contract's terms, we refunded the damage deposit as stated in your signed contract.
