We held our wedding here this October and we could not have been happier to have had our big day here. The view is absolutely gorgeous and we loved having the dance floor outside! The venue is maintained beautifully and everything looked amazing!
Our daughter was married at The Barn at Tatum Acres this past Sunday. We couldn't have imagined a more beautiful venue! The mountain views are stunning and several of the guests commented that it was the most beautiful wedding venue they've ever been to. The bride's room was beautifully furnished, clean, and the perfect place for my daughter and her bridesmaids to get ready. The staff was prompt to answer all of our questions and they were very easy to work with. They considered all of our ideas and concerns and were very accommodating. I wish I could give 10 stars! Thank you to Debbie and Tatum Acres for making our daughter's day so memorable!
My husband and I got married at The Barn at Tatum Acres just a couple of weeks ago, and I could not have asked for a more perfect experience. Debbie, the owner, takes care of her breathtaking space, and even updated parts of the barn over the summer to make it that much more beautiful. I was able to choose from their suggested vendors, or pick ones of my own (we have friends in the catering business, and I have a talented friend that did my flowers). Samantha, who coordinated our wedding, helped us every step of the way by making vendor suggestions, where to find the cheapest deal, and let’s be honest she helped me keep my head on straight. I couldn’t be more pleased with my experience at The Barn at Tatum Acres, and I would recommend it to anyone that dreams of an outdoor wedding!
What a beautiful venue. My, now, husband and I immediately fell in love the views of the mountains and the unforgettable sunsets with Atlanta glowing in the distance. Debbie and Ivy go ABOVE and beyond to give you an unforgettable wedding. Our wedding day was truly amazing and it would not have been possible without the devotion and attention to detail that we received from this venue and wonderful staff.
I would recommend this venue again and again.
We definitely recommend The Barn at Tatum Acres! As DJs, we have the opportunity to work at many different venues. Tatum Acres is absolutely beautiful, and has a staff that is friendly and helpful!
We got married at Tatum acres on December 1st, 2018 and we decided on The Barn at Tatum Acres on November 4th, 2018- it wasn't supposed to be that rushed, but my husband lost his brother and of course that delayed the wedding for awhile. However, Debbie and Ivy never missed a beat- they helped me pick out decorations and book my vendors and everything in between. Oh and did I mention we got a fantastic rate- like the best around? Then it came to our wedding day- and even with the torrential downpour outside, they easily set the wedding to take inside the barn and made everything so beautiful! I was and am still so thankful for having picked this team and this venue!
We loved working with Debbie at Tatum Acres. Our daughter (bride) had not even seen the venue until the morning of the wedding and Debbie did everything she could to put her and my mind at ease. The property is simply beautiful and all of the personal touches they have only added to the wedding and venue. I highly recommend using Tatum Acres.
This was the perfect setting for our wedding! The view of the venue is magical and sets the tone for everything! Debbie was amazing to work with since I was an out of state bride! I am so happy with our choice and would recommend this venue to anyone!
Beautiful venue in the north GA mountains with affordable wedding packages that can be personalize as needed to best fit you & your spouse! I am by no means an organized person and found myself frequently reaching out to their staff with questions/concerns and received responses sometimes weeks later-- a little scary at times but overall, the wedding turned out great. I'm a pretty laid back person so this might be very stressful for someone with more of a "type A" personality.
I would also recommend looking at the event time allowed here because the ceremony and reception went by very fast with only a 5 hour window for the celebration. Another thing that didn't sit well with us-- The Barn was VERY warm for dinner in early September when we were told central A/C had just been installed.
Overall, I am happy we chose this venue and our guests had a great time.
I can honestly say we got the best venue and wedding day thanks to Tatum Acres. It was everything and more thanks to the team. I worked with Ivy (who was beyond amazing as my coordinator and florist) and Debbie was so hands on with any questions or concerns I had! We have this day to look back on for the rest of our lives and it’s all thanks to Tatum Acres for bringing our vision to life!
Fantastic venue. The staff went out of their way to make my wedding perfect. Debbie, Ivy and Lynn were a delight to work with. Would recommend Tatum Acres to anyone want a breathtaking venue for their perfect wedding!
Everything at Tatum Acres was absolutely amazing. Debbie Ley was great to answer all of my questions as I was planning the rehearsal dinner from out of state.
Ivy Ferguson was outstanding as the wedding coordinator. Heather Kocevar at Stems Atlanta did a beautiful job with all the floral decorations.
If you are looking for a beautiful outdoor setting for your wedding, The Barn at Tatum Acres will not disappoint.
Ivy and Debbie were absolutely excellent! They were so professional, helpful, and wonderful. Not only are they the best but the Barn is absolutely beautiful. As a stressed out Bride, Ivy and Debbie made me comfortable and calm the day of. They took care of EVERYTHING. I highly recommend this venue/this excellent wedding dream team to anyone who is looking for their dream wedding.
My husband and I only visited two venues before deciding on the Barn at Tatum Acres because we knew Tatum Acres had everything we were looking for. The staff was also incredible to work with - it was raining right before my wedding started and I noticed Courtney diligently wiping dry the ceremony chairs. The Friday before my wedding, when my bridal party was driving up from Atlanta for rehearsals, everyone started to slow clap when they got out of the car because everyone was at a loss for words once they saw TA. A lot of the pictures from my guests were not even of my husband and me, but of the venue because it truly is beautiful!
I was stepmother-of-the-bride 10/21/2018. The wedding was GORGEOUS! The ceremony was at 4 PM and the weather was perfect. The attention to detail was outstanding. To my knowledge, the bride and her party lacked nothing. The decor was spot on for a romantic, rustic wedding that could have jumped off the pages of a bridal magazine. The coordinator, Ivy, was delightful and had everything under control. I can't say enough about what a wonderful day it was. Thank you!
We loved working with Debbie and her adorable crew. Our daughters wedding was her dream come true. The staff went above and beyond the day of the wedding by treating the guests like celebrities, the wedding party like royalty and the parents like honorees.
The outside vendors that were recommended to us were fabulous and truly excellent.
The weather was a bit iffy the day of the wedding but Debbie made sure we had a perfect back up plan.
I can not thank all of you enough for your professionalism and kindness that made our daughters wedding day one to remember.
Beautiful venue with a once in a lifetime view.
The venue was so beautiful and perfect for the elegant but rustic vibe we were going for. Debbie was always so quick to respond to e-mails and Ivy our coordinator was incredible in every way, keeping us on track leading up to the wedding and constantly available and keeping us on track the day of the wedding as well. They could not have been more helpful!
Our wedding day was perfect at The Barn at Tatum Acres thanks to the amazing coordinating team, Ivy Marie Weddings! The views are amazing, the barn is beautiful, and we couldn’t have asked for anything better. You will not regret having your wedding here, we sure don’t!
I loved working with Debbie, Ivy, and Meagan as we prepped for my big day. The weather was incredible for my fall wedding and the view was amazing of the mountains as the backdrop of my ceremony.
The Barn at Tatum Acres is the absolute best choice my husband and I made for our wedding. Debbie, Ivy, and Meagan went above and beyond on every request we had and made my day so incredibly easy. With everything in house, the team truly has the skills to make your dream wedding a reality. Debbie was so flexible and easy going on all of our requests and made planning a breeze. Not to mention, the venue is incredibly beautiful, meaning very little extra decor needed to be added. I will forever recommend this wonderful staff and amazing venue!
I was an out of state bride planning my wedding but I never felt the stress of that because of Ivy and Debbie. Debbie kindly did a Skype tour of the venue, Ivy held planning meetings via Skype, and both of these ladies were readily available whenever I had a question about anything. Ivy doubled as our wedding planner and florist and the flowers blew me away! The day of the wedding Ivy was so attentive to me and all of my needs. As we were getting ready Debbie brought fresh baked blueberry bread and asked if I had everything I needed. The Barn at Tatum Acres was everything I hoped my wedding day would be and because of the ladies at Tatum Acres my wedding day was more than I could have imagined.
Debbie and Ivy were great to work with. Things I hadn't even thought of, they were ready for. They were very caring and always available. The Barn at Tatum Acres was a magical place to get married.
I can't say enough about this venue and the ladies behind it. Other places we visited, the women were kind of cold and I could tell it was just business. From the moment I met Debbie and Ivy, I knew Tatum Acres was where we should have our special day. The property was beautiful and the ladies went above and beyond to help us along the way. There were several days leading up to our wedding where I needed to come by last minute to get some measurements and they made sure I got what I needed. There were some things we had forgotten when setting up our décor and Debbie stepped in to assist when it was not her responsibility. Her husband was there and helped hang some heavy stuff, which again, was not expected but greatly appreciated. During setup, Ivy was so attentive. I felt comfortable stepping back to get ready and enjoy the day while she handled the logistics. I really appreciated the attention they gave me and how kind they were to my family and guests. While my wedding was only one day, I now feel like I am a part a little family. Thank you Ivy and Debbie!
The Barn at Tatum Acres provided the perfect backdrop to our day. The location and views are stunning. Everyone was blown away by the beauty of the place. Debbie and Ivy were absolutely amazing leading up to our wedding and exceeded our expectations the day of. For what is included in their package the value is great. We had such a fun day and were so happy we chose to begin our happily ever after at Tatum Acres.
My husband proposed in March and I was dead set on a fall wedding but didn't want a super long engagement. We were shooting for October and knew we would have to act fast. I did some searching online and found a few venues, but a friend of mine suggested that I look at The Barn at Tatum Acres. It was a fairly new venue near her home in Jasper, GA and she thought it was probably very nice. We scheduled an appointment and met with D (I don't feel comfortable releasing her real name). She took us to the venue and I immediately fell in love with the spectacular view, the beautiful barn, and the quaint little (bridal) house. I was told upfront that if we decided to go with the only open date she had in October, that she would not be able to attend due to a previous commitment, but that she would ensure that we were properly taken care of. I was fine with that and we signed the contract that afternoon. One thing I can say that I really appreciated was that we did not HAVE to use their catering, DJ, or other vendors, but they were available if we chose to do so. We decided to source them ourselves.
The next few months passed pretty smoothly with the venue, but the week before the wedding I received an email from a lady I had never met or heard of, letting me know that she was the coordinator for our wedding and asked when we could meet to go over details. Umm, I didn't hire a coordinator. I contacted D and she explained that K would be replacing D as venue support for our wedding. That's fine. We set up a meeting and everything seemed to be okay, she had pretty good advice and had run many weddings there before. I felt we were good to go.
The day of the wedding was when everything came unglued. We arrived early to set up and found the tables and chairs had arrived for the reception, but there were no chairs for the ceremony. When I asked K (who had not arrived and wouldn't arrive for hours at that point) she said, "Oh, well I thought D ordered them..." Seriously? We have no chairs for our ceremony! We ended up having to use the reception chairs and our GUESTS helped move them back! There were ant hills everywhere and the ground where they "always" have ceremonies was so uneven our guests would have been falling out of their chairs if we hadn't moved them farther over!
There is a long list of other smaller issues that popped up during the day, but I completely understand that these things happen and not everything is avoidable. My biggest issue happened during the reception. While we were taking pictures, K decided to change the layout of the buffet (after my mother had explained to her the process we had pre-set) and made the entire process confusing. She was rude to my mother, my grandmother, my aunt, and my friends who were all just trying to keep things going. THEN had the audacity to come to ME, the BRIDE, during my reception to complain about my MOTHER of all people! Seriously, she is lucky I was on a wedding high at that moment and didn't lose my mind. (That came later...)
All of this to say, the facilities and the view are BEAUTIFUL. The staff could use some work so if you chose this venue, make sure you are extremely organized and explain exactly what you want. Have a plan and make sure they stick to it.
