We had a great experience at The Beach Club for our September 2025 wedding. We worked with Krista and she was excellent, extremely responsive to emails, and truly listened to our w...
ishes to create a custom menu that fit our needs. We have multiple family members with celiac disease (severe gluten allergy) and all were able to eat safe and delicious food at our wedding. The venue truly feels full service, there were so many D'Amico employees present at our wedding to ensure the day went smoothly. There were a few small items from our event order that were missed on the day of (coffee in the bridal suite, NA champagne etc.) but when mentioned to staff everything was corrected promptly. On top of it all the venue is STUNNING and our pictures are beautiful. Would highly recommend this venue and D'Amico catering to anyone!
We had our June 2025 wedding at the Beach Club and it was amazing. The venue is gorgeous, was super easy to work with, and also accommodated us having our ceremony off-site.
I cannot speak highly enough about the Beach Club! My husband and I were married here on April 12, 2025. We worked with Krista, and she was FANTASTIC! From the tasting to picking f...
ood stations and creating the floor plan, D'Amico was a dream to work with. Our guests have raved about the food and atmosphere - including the oyster shucker during cocktail hour! And that staircase? Talk about a fairytale entrance! If you are looking for a timeless, quintessential Minneapolis location to be married, look no further! We had approx. 200 guests, and the space felt inviting and not over-crowded. Thank you, Krista and the Beach Club, for the most magical day!
We could not have been more pleased with our December 2024 wedding event at The Beach Club. From the start, our coordinator Anne and her staff were so easy to work with, always re...
sponsive and supportive and reassuring, which we truly appreciated.
On the day of, everything went off without any hitch or hiccup. Everyone on the TBC staff was amazing and kind and so willing to provide any help we needed.
The food could not have been better, including the Christmas cookies we fretted over which were fantastic! Our guests raved about the quality and quantity of food all night. The passed apps were so delicious and plentiful and exceeded expectations (only one suggestion there is some way for guests to know which items were GF or V — we made sure the guests who needed to know were aware, and they really appreciated the options available!) The dinner portions were huge and all three of our dinner options (short ribs, salmon and butternut squash ravioli) got rave reviews from everyone.
The bartenders and servers were also fantastic throughout!
With a lot of help from the TBC team and our day of coordinator, the reception hall looked fantastic! Truly, everyone raved about the space and what a fabulous historical venue TBC is. We loved the vibe and our guests all loved the « old money » feel of the space.
One particular aspect of TBC that was important for us was that we had three separate spaces for ceremony, cocktail hour and the reception, so that no flip was needed. And the auxiliary spaces like the bridal suite (huge and lovely!) and groom suite, terraces, and bathrooms were all perfect as well.
The whole event was everything we hoped for and dreamed of, and we feel that we absolutely made the right venue choice for our event beyond any doubt.
This venue was an absolute dream. Perfect size, several different locations within the space for ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. Get ready spaces on site are lovely. Coat ch...
eck and valet made it super easy for guests too. Now the star of the show is D’amico catering. I have a dairy allergy and several guests and members of the wedding party had gluten and other food intolerances too, and D’amico made an incredible menu for us all!!! Our wedding cake was the most delicious cake my husband and I have ever eaten and it was completely dairy free. They had DF butter, coffee creamer, bread, desserts you name it. The chef and bakery team is out of this world. I am so honored to have worked with them.
The Beach Club and D'Amico Catering were absolutely phenomenal to work with. The property is well maintained, has beautiful natural light, and all updated fixtures. The staff is so...
well trained and professional, and were super helpful throughout our entire wedding weekend!
The catering is 100000/10! My husband and I, our friends and all of our family couldn't stop raving about the food and drinks. They helped us curate the perfect menu and craft delicious, customized cocktails! Our wedding cake was superb and they customized it to match all of our decor. We couldn't be more grateful for D'Amico's services!
The Beach Club and D’amico Catering were both wonderful to work with! We had our wedding there in June and it was truly the best day. The venue itself is absolutely stunning and th...
eir whole planning process was well-organized and intentional. We worked with Anne as our venue coordinator and could not have been happier with our experience. She was timely with communication and very patient with the many questions we had throughout the entire process. Everything came together beautifully, our guests had the best time, and the food was incredible. Would highly recommend!

sponding to all my questions and inquiries and was so accomodating. Our guests were complimenting the amazing food from the hors d'oeuvre to the entress to the dessert and the late night snacks. Highly recommend this venue!
Diane Nichols is fantastic! Of all the people we worked with trying to find a venue, she was by FAR the most helpful. She answered everything directly, she was very responsive and ...
gave us a great tour. The space was beautiful, we would highly recommend the Beach Club and especially Diane!
Katie Bowell and The Beach Club made my daughter’s wedding magical. We had beautiful September weather and the guests loved the cocktail party on the balcony overlooking the lake....
The ceremony room was beautiful and easily flipped into a fun dance room. The dinner was stellar and the food couldn’t have been better. We also loved getting ready there in the spectacular brides room and the fun grooms room. 10/10 Beach Club!! You made a magical evening and all the work leading up to it easy and stress free.
My daughter had her wedding at Calhoun Beach Club, and I can't say enough good things about the venue, the food, and the staff. We received so many nice compliments from our family...
and friends that attended the wedding. From our first tour of the facility, to the amazing tasting, the planning process with Christie, and finally their wedding day - everything was exceptional. We toured about 6 different venues, and CBC was definitely the BEST!! Many thanks to the outstanding team at Calhoun Beach Club!
We got married in the spring of 2019 at CBC, and it was a beautiful space for both a ceremony and a reception. The ceremony space features a gorgeous spiral staircase for the bride...
to walk down and floor-to-ceiling mirrors. The reception space overlooks Lake Calhoun and is equally airy, open, and beautiful. The weather didn't permit us to be on the patio, but there's also a large terrace overlooking the lake that would be perfect for summer months. It's classy, elegant, and modern without being stuffy. Would definitely recommend!

ng! Bethany was really sweet to work with for planning, and the individual on point for running the wedding the day of was superb too! A great experience here- my wedding day was so special, and the Calhoun Beach Club did not disappoint!
We used the entire venue for all of our wedding events - ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. D'Amico, the managing catering company, was INCREDIBLY flexible! Every question w...
e asked, their answer seemed to be "Yes! whatever you'd like!" The event spaces were perfect; clean, bright, simple, and most of all elegant! We wanted a simple and classy, timeless wedding and that is exactly what we got with Calhoun Beach Club.
We were able to bring games in for our guests to play both in the reception space and on the beautiful patio overlooking the lake, and even make special requests for food and drink. The staff was absolutely amazing and Amy McMonigal was a godsend. She never once failed to respond to any of my (seemingly endless) emails to her, and scheduled tastings and many in-person discussions about our event. She genuinely seemed to care about the event as much as I, the bride, did! She also worked seamlessly with our vendors and our day-of event planner. I really can't imagine a more smoothly-flowing day, which meant so much to me as a relatively frazzled bride leading up to the big day. We cannot thank Amy and the rest of the staff at CBC/D'Amico enough!
Fabulous!! We had our wedding here in June of 2016. The staff, was professional and service was seamless in the planning leading up to the event as well as day of . The food, inclu...
ding the cake, was excellent. I had many guests tell me it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding. The venue has the perfect amount of character and detail is neutral enough that it serves as a great clean slate for your wedding vision. A previous reviewer is correct that the linens they provide are 'barebones' but it is definitely worth noting they've updated the chairs since that review was written. Out with the shabby white leather, in with the new white chiavari chairs that are versatile and look stunning with the white woodwork in venue. My wedding planner and I were working to cut expenses (were going to rent $2k worth of chairs) when we got the news CBC was getting new chairs! It was a wedding budget miracle!! Lastly the location is perfection for a MPLS wedding and provides a great elegant setting if a country club is not your thing. My now-husband and I wanted a formal feel without the stuffiness of many country clubs that didn't feel authentic to us. If that's you, this is your spot!

ur wedding day! They worked with us to plan the perfect ceremony and menu for our guest! Day of they went above and beyond for us! There are not enough thanks' to go around for everyone who helped with our wedding!

uted perfectly. She provided great recommendations for vendors and was so incredibly flexible with any and all of our ideas. The food was amazing and the venue was gorgeous, our guests are still telling us what a great time they had!
we had our wedding this august at the Calhoun Beach Club in minneapolis. we worked with Jessica + Molly for all of our planning and those two girls were not only incredible at what...
they do, but also the nicest + most sweet girls to work with. they were insanely helpful with planning and thought of absolutely everything. including a ton of things I hadn't. I could not have pulled off such a gorgeous wedding without the two of them! second- our food from d'amico was absolutely out of this world. SO GOOD. we did a buffet and had reservations about that- but after the wedding was over, we are so glad we chose that route! (thanks Jessica!) the food was absolutely amazing and d'amico can probably do no wrong with their menu. we (+ our guests) loved it. the venue itself is gorgeous, and requires very little work to host a wedding here. just the personal touches. and lastly, the staff at d'amico/CBC was unbelievable. both of our families had nothing but wonderful things to say about every single person helping with our wedding. the staff and catering was more than we could have ever asked for, they were so attentive and so so nice. multiple staff came over to hand us appetizers, drinks and desserts that they were worried we would miss. we had a dream wedding at this place, and loved every minute of planning it from start to finish.
Beautiful venue, food is above-average wedding fare (the cake was outstanding!). Our coordinator went above and beyond to ensure that we were able to taste additional dishes at our...
second meeting, and took my rapid fire questioning with immense grace, experience and expedience. When I realized we had a wedding crasher, the event captain seamlessly aided our day-of-coordinator in making a spot/adding a meal.
Bear in mind that while the venue offers linens and seating, it is very bare bones--and if you use their white chairs many look quite shabby, especially if there will be any daylight during your event.

ns answered. The wedding day experience was phenomenal! The food was amazing, the service superb and the venue (as always) exquisite! Everyone was so impressed! We had a Sunday brunch wedding so the rental fee was very reasonable and they were willing to customize the menu to fit the feel of the event and food restrictions of some of our guests. It truly was a fairytale day for me and I wouldn't have changed a thing!
Though the night of our wedding was perfect visually, and the food was great, the planning process with Calhoun Beach Club was a nightmare. The Damico representative we worked with...
was a terrible communicator. I experienced the absolutely worst customer service I have ever had. During a walk-thru of the venue, after we had booked it, I told the rep. how certain things were broken and dirty and she refused to acknowledge my remarks. I asked if the broken items would be fixed by our wedding date and her reply was "maybe, we'll see". For the high amount of money we paid for our wedding I was completely shocked at how terribly we were treated. She also told us about a lot of hidden costs AFTER we had signed the initial agreement and put down a deposit. It was a beautiful spot, and it fit the theme and overlook of our wedding very well, but if I had to do it all over again I would prefer not to work with Damico catering through Calhoun.
CBC was an amazing venue that offered a neutral space to add my own personality. Even without any added decorations, the space is beautiful! The large windows provide natural light...
for the perfect pictures. What I loved about this space: I was able to do the whole wedding event in one building but in different rooms so there was no tear down and resetting the same room. I was able to have a bridal suite, a room for the guys/band/photographers to hang out in, a room for the ceremony, cocktails and reception all separate. It was all handicap accessible. The service and waitstaff were amazing. Downsides: Parking, doing valet is expensive but there's not really another option. You have to cater through d'amico (which was also great, but is pretty expensive as well). Getting from the parking ramp to inside the building is kind of a maze and you have to go outside. Overall, I would recommend this venue. My day went smoothly, they were easy to work with, and it’s such a beautiful space!
d'amico has an incredible, professional staff. beautiful venue, perfect location. the food was grade A. All around exceptional experience.

nderful to work with. You have someone every step of the way to consult with on decisions and help you coordinate your big day. Ours was perfect... the Boulevard room was great for ceremony, cocktail hour and reception!

he room set up and during the receiving line, it was not appropriate and it was about something ridiculous that THEY should have figured out themselves!! Not only that it pushed everything back about a half hour and made me pretty angry because they started annoying the MOB as well. We had everything figured out, there was a list of things for them to do and still the minute I got there somehow there was 1,000 questions. I understand a few questions, but isn't the bride supposed to relax?
We had both our ceremony and reception at the Calhoun Beach Club. The venue is absolutely amazing. The ceremony room had a large staircase that I walked down, with large mirrors ...
at the front and large windows. It was very pretty. The reception was held in the large solarium room with the terrace - everyone loved being able to go out on the deck!

fantastic, and the cake was literally the best cake I've ever had. Not to mention the venue, serving pieces, decor, etc. and staff of the event were beyond first class. Cannot say enough fabulous things about our experience here. If you want a first class event and service, you need to book D'Amico and this venue is the spot to do it!

ocess. Beward that price negotiations are nearly impossible so prepared to pay for EVERY SINGLE thing...including a 2 hour parking voucher for a hairstylist. The servers at the event were very professional and there was a good ratio of servers to guests. Only downside is the planner you work with rarely is at the event so you work with a site captain instead. Our happened to be ok - not great - and wasn't overly friendly or available to the wedding party earlier in the day. Wasn't a huge issue, but definitely not on par with the rest of the service we got. Great location, but definitely pricey!

him and a series of lies from him we eventually found out that our money was in and contract signed 3 months before the other bride. After all was said and done I decided to be nice and move to the smaller room and bump my wedding up two hours. I could not make another bride have to switch venues or dates that close to the wedding. In return the other bride supposedly had to move her wedding back a few hours. Turns out the day of my wedding when i spoke with the other bride, she had no idea the venue was even double booked. And on top of that the day of my wedding was chaos as they were trying to put two weddings together at the same time. Specific details that were in my wedding day list that Calhoun made were absent, the wrong side was served with dinner, labels were missing. The bride and groom both had soaking wet chairs at the head table and it took the staff forever to change them. Having a wet bottom for your first dance.....not so ideal! The food was fantastic and the place is beautiful but the service i received was awful. It is rather expensive also. If you spend that much money you should receive excellent service. I will never work with Calhoun Beach Club again!
Absolutely amazing! The CBC staff were so helpful and made the planning process very easy. It is the most beautiful reception site in Minneapolis!

sold it to us was having two floors, which allowed some of our older guests to stay upstairs away from the music and our younger guests to party downstairs.
