The salon is fitted with a blow-dry bar and a dressing area, alongside a music system that you can use to play your favorite tunes.

I wouldn't recommend this venue to anyone specifically regarding the use of the "Porch" for getting ready the morning of the wedding. The set up seemed ideal for us - with the price including the hair and make up of the bride and two attendants - everything else is al a carte. We ended up finding out that the stylists doing hair and make up were independent contractors that they hire to do these events. I had my first hair and make up trial and was surprised to find the space dirty and my hair and make up looked nothing like what I had asked for. I wouldn't mind that because it's a trial for a reason - but she assured me she was 100% able to execute what I needed and wasn't able to. When it came to make up - it was totally unsanitary. They were using the same mascara and lipgloss wand on every client, instead of using a new one. We ended up having a second trial - where they brought in a new stylist and again, the hair stylist again couldn't execute the style (it's a simple french twist). The venue also wouldn't turn the heat on in the room, where we were sitting for two hours, and it was freezing. Long story short, we lost all confidence in the venue and their ability to hire an outside contractor who was actually able to do hair and make up effectively.

Got married at Ocean Edge on 6/4 and purchased the “porch party” package that included hair/makeup trials, use of the side porch the day of and food/beverage. The services themselves were great- my hair and makeup stayed put, my mother, MIL and two bridesmaids also looked fantastic! The only negative thing I have to say is administratively they’re a bit of a mess. I had to stay on top of the manager and staff to confirm details, pricing and ensure I paid in full before the day of. I’m actually still trying to reconcile a price difference between what the contract stated and quote I was given from the spa itself- a difference of almost $800! I’ve likely overpaid and have been waiting almost three weeks for a response which is typical.

Unprofessional, poor communication. I live out of state and booked them for my hair and make up as we got married at the ocean edge. Wendy, the manager, would dodge my calls and emails, and would not call me back. I couldn't even get a hold of her to charge me until a week before my wedding. My trial was in February thank god the make-up artist gave me her personal number because I had to call her to get Wendy to call me back. Wendy agreed originally to let my bridal party each pay for their own services. But she wouldn't return their calls when they tried to call and pay her. The other girls working the phones were instructed to tell us that only Wendy could handle anything to do with weddings, including running our credit cards. Due to this she ended up charging my card for other services. Due to the lack of communication and professionalism I didn't know if they would even show up for my wedding, until the day before. Then Wendy had the audacity to show up to our room when we were getting ready. If i lived in the area i would have canceled and booked with a different vendor. Also, they are NOT affiliated with the ocean edge resort. So the resort could do very little to help me fix the situation.

I loved working with The Beach House Spa at Ocean Edge. Wendy was great to work with - so professional and understanding when I needed to move my wedding due to COVID. Monica was my hair stylist for my trial run and my wedding day! Talk about going above and beyond, she was amazing to work with! She was so kind and so personable!! My hair is not one to hold curls or stay in an updo and Monica accomplished both!! All of my guests loved my hair and makeup!! You will not be disappointed working with Wendy or Monica - the entire Spa is so friendly. Some of my girls even got manis and pedis before the wedding and they were so accommodating!!
