We had our wedding at the Bedford Post Inn a few months ago, and it was the absolute best decision we ever made. (other than deciding to get married) I cannot believe anyone could say anything negative about this venue or the people that work here. We still come back to Campagna and the Barn for lunch/dinner and everyone recognizes us and is so friendly.
From the very beginning, the events team was BEYOND amazing. They went out of their way to help us with absolutely everything. I also didn't have a wedding coordinator, and would not have been able to get through the day without the staff at the Bedford Post. Malinda and Jonna took care of everything, and Malinda was on site the entire night to make my vision come to life. They went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect...from wrangling in the groomsmen, to creating an amazing ambiance throughout the entire wedding, everything was just perfect. You can tell that they really, truly care about you and want to do anything they can in order to make you happy. We went back a few times with our photographer and just to view the grounds before the wedding, and they made us feel welcome every single time - let us view the rooms and walk around the entire space. I couldn't believe how responsive they were about every single question, or anything I was thinking about at the time. They made me feel comfortable so I was able to make it through the day with no worries at all!!!
The space and grounds created the perfect romantic ceremony/reception and after party that we could have ever imagined. I can't express how beautiful it was.
And words can't describe how good the food was. If you're a foodie like we are, you need to try this Michael White menu. We needed to be rolled out in a wheelbarrow after the tasting because we tried pretty much everything on the menu, and finished it all. We made a point as the bride and groom to eat the food at the wedding because we knew how good it was going to be. And we're still drooling over it! Also, the food at the after party was PERFECT for after drinking. The chicken fingers and fries really hit the spot, and it was the perfect ambiance for making smores by the fire!
I really can't say enough great things about everything at the Bedford Post Inn. Absolutely everything exceeded our expectations and created the perfect night for our wedding.
Thank you guys for everything!
We recently had our wedding ceremony and brunch reception at the Bedford Post Inn and couldn't have been happier with the venue, the food and the service.
The team who helped us book, plan and execute our wedding was extremely professional, communicative, and attentive. I couldn't have asked for a better team. They answered all of my tiny questions ahead of time and took care of EVERYTHING on the day of the event. I didn't have a wedding coordinator or planner, so they were indispensable. They really made me feel so special.
The food was incredible, and the Barn Loft room was so beautiful. They have everything there (chairs, tableware, candles) and really went above and beyond to make a beautiful brunch. We had the ceremony inside and I asked for candles in the room. They set the room up SO beautifully–way beyond my expectations. There were candles all over the room, and it was stunning.
The grounds of the inn are beautiful and there are so many nooks and crannies to take gorgeous photos in. I can't recommend this venue enough.
As a person who had dreamed of my wedding my entire life, I was absolutely shocked at how difficult planning a wedding was - until the day we found the Bedford Post. We had searched for months for that perfect combination of a beautiful outdoor setting and incredible food, and after literally touring 20 venues had almost given up and settled on one or the other out of sheer frustration. That changed the day that we scheduled a tour at the Post, and met Reed, the wedding coordinater.
We fell in love with the venue - and how can you not, it's gorgeous and some of the best food we've ever eaten - but we chose to book our wedding here because of Reed, and cannot say enough kind things about this woman. At our first meeting, I knew that working with her would be one of the best decisions I've ever made. I can't tell you how wonderful it was to know her from the start, that she had my best interests in mind. She is also very kind, pleasant, and so easy to work with - my fiance and I both agree that we have never known someone so calm and with so much patience! She was responsive to all my countless emails and phone calls, and she was always flexible and willing to help with anything.and everything with a calm smile, and I knew I had nothing at all to worry about.
My guests are still raving about how this was the best wedding they have ever attended and that truly speaks volumes about the venue and its wonderful staff. The memories we made that night are truly monumental and it was by far the best night of our lives.
I'm so surprised to see negative reviews about Bedford Post Inn! My fiancée and I are planning our wedding there and have been working with Reed. Every step has been easy and delightful and we couldn't be happier. We are getting married at BPI at the end of this month and Reed is coordinating everything for us. We just had our tasting and were so happy with all of our options and since I'm on a vegan diet they completely customized some items for me and came up with multiple vegan cake and icing options for our cake. I'm so thankful that we have Reed to walk us through all of the decisions we need to make and can't wait for our big day. Andrew, the Inn Keeper, is officiating our ceremony outdoors after which we're planning to have canapés by the reflection pool and then going inside for our dinner. Crossing our fingers thay we'll have a beautiful dry day!
I have been waiting a while to write this review and after viewing other venues, I feel it is a MUST. We fell in love with Bedford Post Inn from pictures and the fact that we could have the best of both worlds. Amazing food, paired with a country setting and intimate wedding ceremony/reception. I should have known by the lack of any attention through my emails to the Events Coordinator before making the hour and 45 minute drive. (After she cancelled many times) I was specific in what we wanted to see, and upon arrival, not only could we not view ANY of the spaces (Yoga loft had a Yoga class and the Restaurant was full)... but the attitude was disgusting! She knew we were coming from far away to view the venue, so why schedule an appointment when the Inn was booked for a wedding the entire weekend? The outside was so messy with garbage all over the ground from the night before and again, we couldn't see ANY of the spaces. When my fiancé asked to simply "look" in the restaurant and use the bathroom, she quickly said... well no, it is for a private party. Really? 2 Hour drive, and we can't even use the restroom? I can't imagine anyone planning an event with people that have such an attitude. I am so thankful that we found the perfect place and no other venue ever treated us that way! I've never felt so disrespected and we felt so uncomfortable that we wanted to leave right away. Never a follow up from Alex, or an apology. I will make sure anyone I know who thinks to make a trip here, will not. So unfortunate to have rude, young and completely unprofessional people handling customers and/or events at a place that had the potential to be a pretty venue.
Do not plan a wedding or an event here. The whole experience was unprofessional. I should have realized it would not be a good experience when I asked for a packet of information information from their Wedding & Private Events Manager and instead received a three line email. I was intrigued by the aesthetics of the Inn and also the ability to have an intimate wedding so unfortunately spent more time on the process by visiting the site. We received a subpar sales experience but still we decided to go for it because of the beautiful grounds and the price was right (or so we thought). Once we received the proposal the price was 65% higher than Alex's original quote because she failed to mention a food and beverage minimum requirement. What a waste of time! I'm glad that happened because I was willing to ignore the other reviews about horrible service because of the charm of the Inn. I can only imagine the horror that would have been involved in planning a wedding with a place that obviously cares very little about the experience of their customers.
