To Everyone Out There, Getting married is more than just solidifying your union, it's about have a party to remember for generations to come. This is where I come in. The hardest part of getting married is putting together the pieces. As the venue, I take a lot of questions off the table! From the dancefloor to the hotel rooms & everything in between. I can help you reserve them all. That without our connection to several Event Designers & Event Production Companies, we know the names! I have been in hotels for 12 years & from working these parties as a bartending to hosting them in the hotel rooms from the front desk to creating the memory with you, I approach all conversations from a solution based point of view. I will be honest in my suggestions & always lead you down the path of something special. When you get the chance, check us out! We would be thrilled to have you! The Belamar was unbelievable at accommodating my ceremony on incredibly short notice (I won't go into details but we had a last minute issue with our original venue). I can't really speak to what the normal planning process looks like with them, I didn't even see the location until the rehearsal but I am so happy we were able to get married here. It's a beautiful spot and everyone we interacted was so kind and helpful and made us feel special, everything we could have asked for. They truly saved the day, I can't recommend enough.

My husband, Tommy, and I had an amazing experience at the Belamar. The Belamar was the first venue that we visited and we were so excited about the beautiful courtyard and banquet room, we booked it that same day.
We had 100 guests and the venue was perfect. You have the option during the wedding ceremony to face toward the hotel and say your vows under the beautiful pergola or face the opposite way with the stone wall & fountain behind you. We chose to have our guests face the fountain and our pictures look amazing! Working out logistics, AV, etc...was a breeze. Sheena and her team were on it and were so helpful. They worked with our DJs and live musicians perfectly. (BTW - since we were facing the fountain, we had our live musicians set up underneath the pergola and it was perfection! Especially through cocktail hour)
Speaking of cocktail hour.....AMAZING!!! The food is so delicious! Our guests are STILL talking about the hors d'oeuvres!! The staff was great at moving the trays around the entire courtyard. Everyone got to try everything and more! Also, the change from ceremony set-up to cocktail hour set-up was seamless. I honestly didn't even notice tables and chairs being moved! Josue, one of our bartenders, was awesome! Not only is he such a cool dude, but he handled our crowd with ease. Everyone loved him!
Our reception in the Sunset Ballroom was absolutely beautiful! 100 guests is a perfect fit, not too tight, not too open. Our lighting vendor knew exactly what to do with the help of Sheena and her team. It was awesome! We chose to cover up the "flower" wall with a fairy light curtain, and it made the room glow! The Belamar also uses chiavari chairs without an additional cost which makes the table set ups extra fancy. They provided all the linens and tableware. Our crew was able to come in early and set up the centerpieces and accents early. And just like the hors d'oeuvres, our dinners were excellent.
An extra bonus is that our cake, from Torrance Bakery, was included in our package. That was a nice touch. My husband and I aren't too particular about cake, but we were happily surprised by the excellent and delicious options they have at Torrance Bakery.
After the reception ended, we headed over to, 2nd Story, the on site restaurant to continue the party. It was awesome! We ordered late night pizzas and snacks to hold over our crew.
The night of our wedding, our suite was also included. It was a perfect way to end the best night of our lives. Not only are the newly refurbished rooms amazing, but they're clean, comfortable and cozy. The staff also sent up a bottle of Prosecco and sweets.
All in all, we couldn't have asked for better! Sheena is so thoughtful, helpful and fun that she made wedding planning so simple! She gave great suggestions and help to any questions I had. Josue, the cocktail hour servers, the dinner servers and the security were all so kind and assertive. They really took care of us and our guests to make sure we had the best day ever, and we did.
We are definitely putting the Belamar and 2nd Story on our list of recommendations for friends.

I could not say one positive thing about the staff at the Belamar Hotel. I contacted Sheena back in April to ask for hotel block information, pricing for a prewedding gathering, and a brunch after the wedding. She NEVER replied. I emailed her multiple times, left voicemails, and even went to the venue and never received a response. After a month, I finally managed to speak with someone else in sales who assured me that we would be taken care of. I never heard back from her either. I then called again after two weeks about the hotel blocks and spoke with a third person. This time, I looked on their website and noticed that the going room rate was about $120 over our wedding weekend. When I was FINALLY was sent a quote, the price per room was almost double the going rate on their website. I tried to ask about the reason for the price increase and I have never heard back. I also tried to speak with managers throughout this whole experience, but every time I called, I was told they, "were not in." The whole experience was unbelievable and I cannot stress this enough: DO NOT USE THIS HOTEL!

I booked this hotel to stay for my wedding weekend. I wanted a cute place with a decent sized suite for me and my large bridal party to get ready without stepping on each others toes. It was about 11 minutes from the other hotel where the groom and his boys got ready so transportation was not an issue.
I didn't want to regular hotel feel so I looked on TripAdvisor for boutique hotels that had cute spaces. The plan was to take some photos in the open area they have for ceremonies but that didn't happen because of time. I ended up using the lobby which has a great fireplace and I know those photos are going to be absolutely lovely.
The parlor suite is a great size - there were 14 of us in there at the fullest time. And the bed was very comfortable. When we got back from the ceremony, they had champagne and strawberries waiting for us which was nice. I have to say that the valets are very courteous and very helpful - every single one we encountered. I would definitely go back there for a weekend away.
Plus, Manhattan beach is a great area, it's close to the airport and there are many nice restaurants nearby. If not for the fact that many of my guests were from out of town and an airport hotel worked out better distance-wise, this could have been a good option for a group block.

The Belamar was our first choice location and we are so glad we used them. The location is right on Sepulveda so you may be hesitant at first, but trust me this little botique hotel is just the right spot for a medium sized wedding. The staff are amazing and flexible and you hardly need decorations with their beatuiful garden and banquet room.

We had our wedding at the Belamar Hotel.
The hotel is small but our guests (75 people) fit just fine at the courtyard where we had the ceremony and in the ballroom where we dined and danced. The hotel & courtyard were beautiful, when I saw the place I knew immediately this was the place to have our wedding at.
Food was good and overall everything went fine. However, the suite we reserved for the night before the wedding (and for the wedding night it was complimentary) was not available for us when I tried to checked in, but that was sorted out finally to get a small room for the night before (for free) and the suite ready for us already early in the morning of the wedding - so my girls and I can get ready for the big day. However, the suite didn't have a full-length mirror (only small mirror in the bathroom) and I didnt see myself fully with the dress on until later that night when I saw my reflection on the glass door... And only after I saw the pictures did I realize I should have adjusted my dress - it was all flat on the side and should have been puffy..
Ah well, something always goes wrong. The catering manager who I dealed with was 'not longer within the hotel' 2 weeks before the wedding - but that was fine since she made mistakes anyway. The new one seemed very competent but wasn't overly friendly.
You need to double check everything yourself and think of everything - you won't get much help from the hotel.
