Throughout the process, Emily's expertise helped me think of things I would have never considered, helped me plan for scenarios, and helped organize all of the details that go in to the big day. By the time wedding day rolled around I had MAJOR decision fatigue. Emily and Megan were amazing at taking the lead and making final decisions, handling unexpected situations, and making the day run seamlessly. I know that they went above and beyond and handled tricky vendor situations and timeline adjustments. With everything from setting up lots of decor for a 250 guest wedding, running a rehearsal on the day before, meeting with vendors day of, figuring out schedule conflicts with our transportation, rushing to the bar to turn off the music that was playing music during our ceremony, holding our precious dog during the ceremony (Thanks Megan), making sure we signed our marriage license, and so much more. They say things are bound to go wrong on your wedding day, but having Emily and Megan there allowed us to have what felt like the perfect day!

our wedding. We went from planning a wedding at a Brewery in Chicago with its own event planning staff/kitchen/decor, to planning a small wedding on my parents property in MI. This meant having to do everything ourselves, which was something we’d really tried to avoid, as neither of us are the “detail oriented” type. We didn’t want or need a full-blown wedding planner, since the wedding was small and relatively low-key, but we knew we needed help with day-of coordination. We wanted to be able to sit back and enjoy every moment of our wedding day and leave the nitty gritty to someone else. We knew we liked Claire the instant we met her (over zoom, as we live in NYC). She wanted to get to know US first and foremost, our story, asked what we’ve liked and disliked as guests at other people’s weddings. Where as other wedding coordinators we’d interviewed had tried to convince us that we needed more services and tried to get us to go with more expensive planning packages, Claire never tried to sell us anything. She simply listened to what we wanted and explained what our options were, and what the company offers. Our package included 3 meetings prior to the wedding, each of which was incredibly helpful and informative, and left us feeling like we were on the right track. Claire was not in charge of any of the planning, but her knowledge and experience helped guide us along, and consider things we’d never have thought of on our own. Claire was always quick to reply whenever I had questions or thoughts. The day before the wedding, Claire kept us on track and organized as we rehearsed, and on our wedding day she and her assistant had every moment of the ceremony and reception HANDLED, down to the very last detail. Their services included set up and break down, and while I had been anxious about the set up and decor, the second they arrived, I felt at ease. I didn’t have to talk to any of the vendors, or micro manage a thing. I was able to kick back, relax, and get ready with my bridesmaids. The space looked absolutely beautiful and exactly as we’d envisioned, most of it having been pieced together via various Pinterest posts I’d emailed to Claire. Later on, as we were partying the night away, Claire approached me to let me know that it was supposed to start raining in 10 minutes, and that she and Kelsey were going to start moving everything under the tent. Sure enough, 10 minutes later, with the bar/gift table/dessert tables/photo booth safely moved inside the tent, it started pouring. We all laughed and then carried on dancing. I couldn’t believe how on top of every last detail Claire and Kelsey were. They even helped do dishes and put together leftover cookie to-go bags at the end of the night. Our wedding was beautiful, a total blast, and went off without a single hitch, and we could not have done it without Claire and Kelsey of Best Day Details!

Molly checked in periodically to update me on how things were going. Molly helped make sure that everything went smoothly throughout the entire day and night and on top of that she is sweet and kind and felt like a friend. The day of my wedding I was flooded with so much emotions and overwhelmed to the max - there is no way that my brain could have focused on everything that Molly helped with. At the end of the night Molly and Amelia took care of EVERYTHING. They tore down and packed up everything into boxes and brought it back to my MIL’s. By this time, everyone had enjoyed themselves and was a little (or a lot) drunk and again, could not have done this job. I told Molly and she made sure they were accounted for. Molly and I met over coffee each week prior (for about 8 weeks) to discuss details and our desires. We talked about napkin folds, ceremony coordination, floral arrangements, table decor and more! Transforming the four bare walls into an elegant dream wedding with white linens and gold lined plates, Molly assured me everything would be taken care of and she was right!! The barn had no running water, no heat and no restrooms. We hired an amazing catering team and deluxe plumbers disposal restrooms and Molly made sure we had access to heaters if need be! It was perfect!! On our big day, the bakery even forgot to make our small 6” wedding cake and Molly handled it without worry and the cake was made fresh and delivered to our venue with plenty of time to spare! The team included team lead, Molly Griffin and her interns, Claire and Mikaela. All of whom were so kind, attentive and a pleasure to work with! Their work ethic and attention to detail did not go unnoticed and I applaud all of them for their hard work and great attitudes throughout the day! The girls made sure our day ran smoothly with a stress free timeline and even assured the gentleman were ready at their location with boutonnières and ties straightened for the party bus-pick up in the afternoon!! I'd say hands down having Emily there was the best decision I made in planning the wedding. Then covid hit and we made our back up plan, and Emily and her expanding team were so fantastic in offering options for us whether we went with our original or back up plan! Well we went with our back up plan which involved a much smaller wedding and we choose to wait on Emily and Molly's help until our rescheduled big renewal party in 2021. Now as we cancel our renewal unsure of what the next year will bring, Emily, Molly and the team have been so understanding and just fantastic to work with. While we never got to have Emily, Molly and the team coordinate on our wedding day, they were just absolutely amazing to work with in their personalities, professionalism, care and understanding that they bring to their work.
