The Bill was a beautiful place for pictures. However when it comes to service and food choices we had issues there.... Catering was totally different from what we expected... food raw and very little portions served. No chef on site and cake cutting service not so good either. We strongly suggest management to revise catering service and information in the near future so other couples won't have to go thru the shameful and embarrassing day with our guests.... majority left the venue.
I was blown away and quite literally breathless when I saw my ceremony space and reception room. My wedding was planned and executed in less than 6 months and was an absolute dream come true. I had a smaller wedding on the North end of the venue (in Highlands and Bibb room) and I could not have asked for a better experience. Kim and Gracie both went above and beyond in every way to guarantee such a special day was pulled off seamlessly and to perfection. I loved and enjoyed the bridal suite and getting ready in there- and also made tik toks and took selfies using the ring light that was in there. The food was delicious and the service was incredible- the drinks were also great. I have nothing but good things to say about this venue. I will remember this day forever and am so thankful I chose to have my wedding at the Bibb Mill!
We booked with you guys for our wedding. I paid a $6000 dollar deposit in May of 21. In Sep of 21 a new director called to inform me that the former director was no longer there. In Dec 21 I receive a call from an Investigator with the Muscogee County Police department to inform me my deposit had been stolen. The Bibb mill never informed me. I had to go file a statement. Fast forward to about 90 days out from the wedding date. I reached out on 7/22 and 7/25 by email and neither email received a response. I then called and finally got Gracie. I then received a quote on 8/3 that was over my original amount by almost 7,000 dollars. I emailed Gracie and she told me she would get it fixed. Then on 8/4 I emailed over that there were some differences on the food menu that she sent over versus what I originally chose. That email went unanswered until I called 8/15 and she then sent me a corrected quote. Each time I reached out to Gracie she was always nice but never prompt about returning emails. I sent over final numbers on October 18th for the buffet. I had 138 adults and 12 kids. To my knowledge kids are ½ price buffet. The kids were supposed to get chicken fingers and fries which did not happen. On the day of my wedding, we were missing 2 tables and only had a set up for 130 people. It was not until I counted that I had even realized that. The staff was nowhere to be found once my reception started and my DOC had to track them down to get them to start passing hors d'oeuvres. There was a bar set up outside so when my guest would come up from the ceremony, they could grab a drink. The set up was amazing, however there was a single bar tender in the space, and the space was overflowing with guests. The guests were invited into the reception area, but there was no bar tender in the reception area. After about 20 minutes, the staff moved the bar tender from the outside patio, to inside. Unfortunately, I had my guest book stuff on the patio, and so no one really got to sign it. It wasn't until my DOC asked where the second bartender was that we were told by some staff that there would not be one. My DOC then spoke with Skyler and was told a second bar tender was not "on the schedule." The DOC asked Skyler to double check the event BEO, and later Skyler confirmed that she would be filling in as the second bar tender. This would have been very nice to know beforehand so I could move my guestbook to a more centralized location as NO ONE utilized the patio space after the bartender was moved inside. Following the wedding ceremony the staff asked the groomsmen to help move the ceremony chairs and I told them that was not our responsibility. The bartender approached my father asking if he would like to add money to the bar tab to extend it. That was completely wrong; he has not been part of this process AT ALL. Why would anyone think that's ok WITHOUT asking me first?? After the wedding I was charged an additional amount while on my honeymoon. Once I got back, I calculated and realized I was overcharged. I reached out to Gracie and sent her my numbers. She replied giving me her count(informing me what they collected was correct) and telling me congratulations. I then printed the invoice and the text between me and her and wrote out my math and sent it to her. She then said she would refund me for the 5 addition meals which were still not correct. It was over 500 dollars. I also paid for kid meals that I never received a credit for.
The venue is absolutely gorgeous!! But that is the only thing they have going for them. The staff is super rude and not accommodating at all. EVERYTHING was a fight with them. From them telling us we had to let them know the rain plan 48 hours in advance (which our wedding coordinator told us was the most she's ever heard) to trying to work out our proposal pricing. It did not help that the staff turned over in the middle of our planning. Lindsey promised us lots of things at our tour that we had to fight to keep. In the end they did compromise with us but ONLY if we picked the items that were originally on our proposal (which Lindsey had chosen for us that said we could change later... she said it was "just an example"). The food with bleh and we paid a LOT of money for a late night snack that was hard as a rock and cold. Additionally, the alcohol packages/bar was ridiculously priced and they scheduled us to close the bar at 9:30 when they wedding was not over until 11pm so we were back billed for opening the bar an additional hour.
I would never recommend this venue to anyone, no matter how beautiful.
So, with this place, I was all over the price!! And they say you get what you pay for, after booking here and having my wedding I could not agree more! I booked the room for the ENTIRE DAY and a week later people started talking and were telling me how some chick was rushing us to finish. If I had known this then I would have stayed until 1 minute before my contract time ended. I know it was not Lindsay, but they need to gather better customer service! I will not book with them again. I’d rather pay thousands and get QUALITY SERVICE than a few hundred and have NO benefit. And they want you to use their vendors for food, which was terrible..
The venue was awesome and fairly easy on the wallet,, Lindsey was very professional and helpful. The kitchen in the other hand was very unprofessional, they completely missed the tasting date, had to reschedule, then the food at the wedding was undercooked and lukewarm at Best! Everything else was picture perfect !!
This was the first venue I toured and when I walked out I KNEW I was going to book it. I mean it is absolutely beautiful! We had an intimate wedding in the highlands room with the reception in the Bibb Room and we received so many compliments about how gorgeous the venue was. The brick walls matched our personality perfectly. We had a december christmas wedding and all the christmas decorations made it THAT much better. Lindsay was great to work with. Responds quickly and is always attentive to answer all of your questions. Definitely would recommend this venue!
The Bibb Mill was perfect in every single way for our wedding! I actually ended up booking the venue before ever seeing it in person - and when I visited to do our first walk through only a month before our big day, I was blown away. It is absolutely gorgeous and the staff are attentive and kind. Lindsey, our point of contact, was always readily available and made sure we had everything we needed while we got ready at the venue the morning of. All of our guests said it was the most unique and breathtaking venue for a wedding that they have ever seen!
If I could leave zero stars, I would. DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM. If I had known I would have to deal with Lindsay and the horrible owner, I would have never booked this venue. We were passed along to 3 different people and confirmed with them multiple times on prices and what was on the contract. Then after the wedding, we were told we had to pay $1,300 extra for alcohol because our contract only budgeted for "2 drinks per person". Then when we told them we had contracted for 3 drinks per person and confirmed with at least two other people on two separate occasions about that, we were told that was wrong and never happened. On top of that, you are forced to make a definite decision more than 24 hours in advance of your wedding about where your ceremony will be due to weather. And when we asked if we could let them know early the morning of (because weather changes constantly) Lindsay shrugged, rolled her eyes, and made comments like "that is very inconvenient for them" and "she can't control the weather," and "all your guests will leave if you try to have your wedding outside when it's raining." Then she proceeded to lie about making a smart a** comment to my officiant, saying "Hope you're okay with getting wet." All of these comments were made at my rehearsal the day before the wedding and all my family and friends could talk about was how rude she was and how they couldn't believe we even booked with them. We didn't even really rehearse after that because who would want to. And on top of all of that, thousands of dollars went wasted on the garden and overlook that we couldn't even use. Instead, we had to take most of our wedding pictures in a big open room they used for storage. But yet they still want to squeeze that extra money out of us all they can. Not to mention, the reception area stayed warm most of the night. I will say, the wait staff was excellent. But the management is horrible. If you want a stress-free wedding day, DO NOT HAVE YOUR WEDDING HERE.
I couldn’t have found a more amazing venue with such an accommodating team! The Bibb Mill Event Center was the perfect place to host my wedding ceremony and reception. It’s jaw-dropping gorgeous. And, the team went above and beyond to accommodate all my requests (no matter how small) and delivered on all of it! They even worked with my wedding planner SO WELL, which is surprisingly hard to find from venues. Everyone was absolutely blown away by my ceremony location which was hosted in the Gardens. It was perfect for my October wedding. My wedding pictures literally look like they came out of a high end magazine! Just wow! And, the River Terrance was such a great space to host my 150 person wedding. It was big enough to accommodate all the tables and dance floor, but it was small enough to feel “filled”. It was the perfect size. So many people came up to me and complimented on how amazing the venue was! And, the food was so so great! Everyone loved it. Using the Bibb Mill Event Center was one of the best decisions I did for my wedding. I would do it again in a heartbeat.
The Rivermill did a great job of setting up and handling the small details of the day. I felt worry free and confident that they would make sure everything ran smoothly. The staff was also very professional and friendly. If you're not a DIY kind of girl (I definitely have zero creativity bones) and are looking for a venue to handle all of the coordinating and executing of a reception, the Rivermill is the place to go. It's also beautiful with no decorations so you don't have to try too hard to make it look fancy!
The Rivermill Event Center went under new management right before I booked my wedding. I was a little nervous at first dealing with this transition, but Lindsay Norton and her team are amazing! Any time I had a question or wanted to change something they were so quick to respond and help out. I don’t think there was anything I could really complain about for the day of my wedding. When I suddenly realized I didn’t have chargers for the place setting (long story about why), the day before the wedding, I called them and asked if I could use theirs and they called me back within an hour and said I could use them free of charge! My guests told me how beautiful the space was and they had a wonderful time there.
COULD NOT ASK FOR A MORE BEAUTIFUL VENUE!!!! Lindsay Norton is the best person ever to work with and was so easygoing and helpful. They let us bring in custom accents and suspend things from the ceiling to make our wedding reception unique. I cannot say enough about this gorgeous venue and their staff! Thank you so much!!
The Rivermill Event Centre provided a beautiful setting for my wedding reception. Lindsay Norton and her staff went above and beyond to make sure all needs were met, and all details were considered in the planning process. Furthermore, she ensured the day of the wedding ran smoothly. We were allowed to use the venue the entire day of the wedding and for our photographs as well. I highly recommend using the Rivermill!
Beth and Danielle were incredibly helpful from day one. They make you feel welcome and stress free as much as possible! We can't thank them enough for an amazing night!
My now husband and I viewed four other venues before we visited the Rivermill and looked no further! We both love the outdoors and felt that this venue provided you an outdoor feel in an air conditioned space. They have multiple rooms to accommodate different size weddings and work with you to statisfy your requests. The food tasting was very in depth and most of the local vendors are familiar with their space. If this venue is within your budget, I would highly recommend their venue and their staff!
Perfect! I could say so many things about the Rivermill, but the most important is the fact that they really cater to your every need. I had an original guest list of 150. It eventually grew to 200 and I was forced to switch rooms, but Beth went above and beyond to ensure that the big day was everything that I envisioned. She even suggested vendors and gave me ideas when my brain was exhausted. The venue is beautiful, the food is awesome. I got married in the room overlooking the river, and it was breathtaking. Great food, and great staff and people will really enjoy it!
The RiverMill is the best place for a wedding ceremony and reception. The gardens are gorgeous for an outdoor ceremony. Beth at the RiverMill will make sure your day is perfect and that your wedding is everything you ever dreamed of.
This venue is incredible! The entire staff worked so hard to make my day everything I had dreamed it could be! The wedding planner on site is fantastic and really helps you understand how to maximize the venue has to offer!
I cannot say enough good things about the Rivermill. The staff was wonderful, professional, nice, courteous, and organized. The food was extremely good. The grounds are beautiful. I would use them a million times over.
Everyone was so nice and wonderful to work with. From the very first visit to the days after the wedding this staff was awesome. Beth Milner was especially helpful in making everything flow. There were small problems here and there, even the day of the wedding. They were resolved and I never even knew about them until after because they worked with my parents so as not to stress me out. Food was amazing everyone talked about it for weeks after the wedding. Beautiful site and would recommend them a million times over.
I had my reception at RiverMill. The staff was amazing, and the food was delicious. Well worth the money!
As the bride I was thrilled and excited about using this venue. We talked and planned everything around what I wanted. I was asked to move to a different room in the RiverMill due to someone else wanting to get married in the garden next to my reception area.Which was fine because we needed the bigger just couldn't afford it but they helped us out in that area when we moved. The only thing I have to say that I was very, very disappointed in is that I talked to one coordinator the whole time thinking she was going to be apart of my day. Then we I showed up for my reception I had someone different. Never have I seen this girl nor did I know that I wasn't getting the lady I had been talking to. It was very upsetting. But I guess the half a million wedding that was also going on at the same time was more important than mine. The lady that was my coordinator for my wedding was horrible. She pushed me to move my toast up so that I couldn't here the band start up in the other room( by the way we never heard them). I was just very, very rushed. The food was great except for the I promise if you do a buffet the food will keep coming out. That didn't happen!!!! We were told that our food would be brought to us and it wasn't. We went up to get our food and my videography stopped us and told us to sit down that she would take care of it. But with all that said it was great. I just advise that if you use this venue make sure that you get the coordinator you are working with because she is wonderful.
Jamie, Beth, and all the staff at the Rivermill Event Centre made our special day better than we ever could have imagined! The beauty of the Rivermill Event Centre speaks for itself. Everything is beautiful! The exposed brick, immaculate gardens, and high ceilings made the perfect backdrop for every wedding picture! Beth, the wedding coordinator, does a wonderful job! She is so organized, creative, and patient. Living in North Carolina and planning from several states away could have been very difficult but Beth made everything so easy! I was never stressed or concerned about anything. Jamie's creative vision and culinary brilliance are INCREDIBLE! We received compliment after compliment about the amazing food at both the Rehearsal Dinner and Wedding. On top of all that, every staff member at the Rivermill Event Centre is fabulous! All our servers and bartenders were so kind, fun, and enjoyable. We feel so lucky to have been able to share such a special day with such amazing people! Thank you to Jamie, Beth, and everyone at the Rivermill Event Centre who made our wedding so wonderful!
