The Black Tux

Avoid using this company at all costs! We were 29 days out from our wedding when they informed us that they couldn’t fulfill the order that was placed and confirmed months ago. We’re still waiting on a refund for suits we’ll never receive. Their customer support is nonexistent as they don’t answer emails, calls, etc. and didn’t in the beginning either when we had questions/difficulties with the home try-on.

Do not order from this place. I sent my tux back six months ago and they just now emailed me saying they couldn't find everything. They have now charged me additional money because they said i haven't returned email even though I've emailed them the last two weeks.

We used the online Black Tux as there was not a store near us. We measured and got a tux sent to us about 4 months before the wedding and loved it. Then got the day of tux two weeks in advance. We had some procrastinators in our party that didn’t get their orders in quick enough to have a try on and ended up having to call and get replacement sizes which Black Tux rushed to us in perfect time. The guys looked incredible.

Great service at try on location and suit material seemed great there. When the suit arrived, it was a totally different material then what was tried on, was very cheap filling. Overpriced for what you get.

The Black Tux truly has the best tux/suit options out there! They made the rental process for my husband and his groomsmen so easy. Even our dads and grandfather found it easy. They really care about their customers and have excellent customer service. Fedex ended up misplacing my husband’s tux and the Black Tux customer service team made sure we got a replacement immediately. Our wedding party looked amazing and modern. So glad we rented through this awesome company!

I would like to brag a bit about The Black Tux! If you ever need a suit or tux for anything, I highly recommend them! I set up a appointment for all the guys and both our fathers to get fitted (or so I thought) but once we all got there they said the appointment was only booked for the groom😳 we were unable to know if it was a issue on my end or theirs since the confirmation did not confirm the number of people. So the guy helping us said he would try and get as many guys fitted as possible since they had a full day of appointments back to back. Which would probably only be 3 guys, we had 7 total! Oh goodness! But these guys who worked there were amazing, they all worked together to everybody fitted today! He made sure every guy was comfortable and knew how the rental of the suits worked. He even made sure I went through everything to make sure every guy looked perfect. It was absolutely amazing they did a tremendous job!

The online customer service at The Black Tux is astounding. My husband and I cannot recommend this formal rental company enough. Sure it’s a little bit on the pricier end compared to other rental companies but you will not be disappointed. We suggest (and so does The Black Tux) to place your order at least 3 weeks prior to the date needed.

Great customer service! I loved that the groomsmen and my fiance had the opportunity to get measured and sized in the store (we went to the Woodlands location, located inside of Nordstrom). The guys received their suits 2+ weeks before the wedding and if something didn't fit quite right they overnighted a new piece to them. Would definitely recommend to anyone and everyone - they are SO MUCH than the retail stores that overcharge and have a way more limited selection with outdated styles that fit terribly. These suits had a great modern look and were sized to fit like a well-tailored suit!

My husband and his groomsmen got their tux rentals from The Black Tux. They were so happy with how easy it was to send each guy in to their local Nordstrom to get measured and then have the suits shipped to them. They were also happy with how easy they were to return. So convenient to have an online tux rental for groomsmen that live all over the country! The quality of the tuxes were excellent and as far as I know everyone had a great fit. It’s so nice to have the tuxes come in 2 weeks prior to ensure a good fit, and they are easy to return- so glad we didn’t have to deal with going to a store front before our honeymoon. If my husband ever needs a tux in the future for any event I will be going to The Black Tux first.

Black Tux was easy quick store to work with. All of my groomsmen and groom looked spiffy. Dallas location was helpful only down fall is that they need to teach their cashier how to run it before they go and lock up your debit card charge you 15 times.

It is hard to give a rating to a company that was so terrible! I was the Father of the Bride who went into a Black Tux location and got fitted and the when the tux arrived: Pants were 2" too short - their solution was for me to go to a tailor and get them altered and they would compensate me $15. Pants were soiled and and not clean - their solution was me to take them to be cleaned and they would reimburse $15. The Jacket had excessive wrinkles that would not fallout after hanging for 3 days - again their solution washer me to take it to get pressed. Bow Tie was mangled - they shipped another one. Those were just me - two groomsmen had completely different shirts that did not match. These groomsmen were from out of town and had no way on knowing they did not match until the day of the wedding! One usher had shoes that were not correct and wrong size that had to be re-shipped and yet another shirt that did not match. The pictures of the Bridal Party look terrible because the Groomsmen and Families tux's did not match. Dealing with their customer service is worse than going to the Dentist and they will not make any effort to resolve issues after the wedding. Go Local!

The Black Tux was perfect for all of our groomsmen! It was affordable and had everyone looking super spiffy. Those who were able to go into the Dallas store to try things on were custom fitted and they had a great selection. Would definitely recommend!!

Super easy to use and sent everything to the groom and his men in a timely manner. They even followed-up with the procrastinators! Thank you for saving me that task ;) Customer service was awesome when I called to have them swap out the groom's bow tie a week before the wedding (he needed a different color than his guys to stand out!). Highly, highly recommend this company! Excellent customer service with very quick responses. I was able to get tuxedos for myself and 9 groomsmen. Tuxedos arrived early and they were able to accommodate any size changes very quickly. Tuxedos were nicely pressed (even with the shipping) and the guys looked so sharp. Excellent fit and the style was modern and slim. Highly recommend over the generic tuxedo rental shops such as Men's Warehouse and Jos A Banks.

Excellent customer service. Great quality. Very handy when one of the tuxes didn't fit my groomsmen, we just called up and they overnighted one to us that was perfect.

It was easy to order. Came right to our door. Even though there was a small mistake, it was fixed quickly. And very convenient to return.

Loved the Black Tux! The suits themselves are high quality and reasonably priced, and the customer service experience was great. We had some last-minute hiccups with delivery (due to a user error issue with one of the groomsmen) but every person who answered the phone--we called A LOT--was incredibly helpful, accountable, and consistent. I was initially concerned about handling the process online, but given the quality of the suits (especially relative to the price point), combined with super responsive customer service, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Black Tux.

Although there were a few problems with my order, The Black Tux did everything in their power to make it right. In the end, any and all issues were resolved, my tux fit perfectly, and it looked great. I recommended The Black Tux to every gentleman in my wedding and I will definitely be using the service again in the future.

Love these guys. I ordered within 10 days of my event. Website was simple to use. Put in my measurements and their customer service guys came back to me really quickly saying they had reviewed my info and recommended a different size. Great quality very responsive personal service, quick delivery, perfect fit.

The tuxedos were great. Perfect fit, high quality, and looked amazing. The price was comparable to competitors. The design and experience of the website was on-point. Customer service was spectacular. This was the easiest and most pleasant tuxedo renting process that I have ever been involved in. It was just so easy, from start to finish.

The suit I ordered fit me perfectly after I so easily put in my measurements. They made sure I got my suit a week before my event even though I ordered it late, and their customer service was incredible. I'm a trans guy who is very short and chubby so rentals always look horrible on me. I saw the The Black Tux online and figured I give it a shot because in store rentals are always bad for me anyway. I couldn't have been happier with choosing the black tux, as soon as my tux came in because the length was perfect and the shoulders fit great. It was the first time I had a tux that looked right for me and not like I was a little kid in my dads clothes.

The staff at The Black Tux were amazing! We ended up having to switch a groomsman & they were able to add our new guy & get him set up online that same day. Very impressed with their customer service - most emails were returned same day. The suits were good quality & everyone was handsome & happy!

Everything was easy! The tux looked great...amazing. I had my doubts about a service like this because I had never used an online tux rental "place". Thank you all so much. I wish I could send pics. I wanted to keep my tux. It fit perfectly! Thia is usually so hard to do with my bold, military frame...my legs are tree trunks! It even came qith paid return packaging...and tape! Phenomenal customer service. Sent 3 shipments, even overnight shipped the last package directly to my hotel, at no additional charge to make perfectly sure that I had the correct size for the whole tux ensemble in time for the wedding event. Forgot borrowed cufflinks and sent them back by mistake. The customer service person without hesitation was committed to return ship the items after receipt of the return shipment. Excellent customer service at the post-sale, post-event stage makes this company even more remarkable.

My "The Black Tux" experience was out of this world. Not only was the website easy to navigate, but when I called customer service, they were extremely friendly and helpful. I had my jacket sleeve length tailored the week of my wedding and Black Tux offered to reimburse me. On the Wednesday before my Friday wedding, one of my groomsman realized that he ordered completely the wrong sizes...we called customer service and they sent a completely new suit overnight. Everything fit great and the entire grooms party looked amazing. The process for creating an event and making it happen is so simple and alleviates a lot of the stress of worrying about your whole party. I will use The Black Tux again if I need to wear a suit and don't feel like buying.

Midnight Blue tuxedo + Midnight Blue waistcoat (vest). Paired it with my own pique-front tuxedo shirt and self-tie silk bow tie. Beautiful tux and great customer service. My first pair of pants was too big large, the rush-delivered second pair were perfect... I looked sharp, got plenty of compliments, and it was a seamless experience start to finish. My friend used this service for his groomsmen tuxedos on 4/30/16. I've been in several weddings and have had to go through the agony of tux fittings at unnamed mall tuxedo rental shops, where they always somehow manage to screw up your order, measure you improperly, or give you the wrong size. The Black Tux was not only super easy to use, and dare I say, "idiot proof," but the customer service was great and the return procedure was very convenient. The quality of the shirts, tuxes and shoes were also very good and fairly priced. I didn't feel like my shirt was going to light on fire, since it was a thick, high-quality cotton shirt versus the flammable, polyester shirts that other rental shops give you. Also, when the customer service rep noticed an anomaly in my pant and jacket measurements (I have a wide waste and narrow shoulders...), he called me to offer a sizing suggestion and to confirm my sizes were indeed correct. Overall, the tux looked great on my buddy's big day, and I was extremely satisfied with my experience. I plan on using The Black Tux for my own wedding later this year.

The process was soooo easy! I ordered a free measuring tape from them, checked all my measurements, and filled out the information on my account. That was it. No BS going to a retail location 4 times to fit, try on, try on again, pick up, return, etc. This was just one easy transaction. I did request that a jacket and pants be sent to me before hand, since I was the groom in the wedding, but they fit perfectly. I was very confident with my suit for myself and the other 5 suits for the boys. They all fit great, and we honestly got so many compliments. I will definitely encourage my other bachelors to use this service for their weddings, and I will def rent tuxes from The Blktux the in the future. Can't recommend this business enough. Great experience!

The clothes fit perfectly and the tux's Marina Wool made it a comfortable feel and i felt very good in what I was wearing. I would say I was one of the best dressed at my prom and I will definitely be using The Black Tux again in the near future. Prices are very affordable as well.

I've used The Black Tux twice now. First was a groom and the process getting my groomsmen fitted and taken care of was smooth sailing. I didn't have to worry about a thing. The second time was a groomsmen myself. My suit arrived a week early as expected. I immediately tried it on and the jacket was too big. I called customer support and after answering a few questions about why the jacket didn't fit a new one was on the way. Still, the new jacket didn't fit, it just needed to be let out by a tailor in the sleeves. No big deal. The best part is The Black Tux reimburses up to $15 on the tailoring so it wasn't a big deal. Overall, the website and process is smooth and fairly painless if you follow the instructions to try on your stuff immediately and stay in communication with customer support.

Amazing customer service, along with great quality tuxedos!

We really enjoyed using The Black Tux for our groomsmen. We chose The Rat Pack outfit for our groomsmen and The Newman for the groom (basically the difference of a bowtie for the groom and long ties for the groomsmen). Everyone looked great, the tuxes fit great, and the customer service was excellent. We had to get one pair of pants hemmed prior to the wedding and exchange a pair of shoes, but everything was easy and seamless. A great choice for modern grooms - I felt that the quality of the tuxes was exceptional and looked/felt more current than some other popular rental places. I would definitely use them again for another event!

Ordered my 4 groomsmen their suits from the black tux and couldn't be happier. They were easy to order for the guys, came on time looked great and they were all very impressed with the fit and quality.
