The Black Tux

I went to The Black Tux two months before my wedding for a fitting and style consultation. With COVID everything was extremely short stocked, but they worked with me to secure the suits for all of my groomsmen and ensured that we would have them in time for the wedding. The fitting process was seamless, and the guy really knew what he was doing when suggestions sizes, styles, and colors schemes. I originally wanted to buy my suit but the fabric choice I went with was too high in demand and they were only renting out suits, not selling them. About 2 weeks before my wedding my suit arrived in the mail. I tried it on and was actually amazed at how well it fit! The shirt they provided fit amazingly as well. All four of my groomsmen had an extremely flattering fit as well, and three of them rented the shoes and belt and we were all surprised with the quality. None of the items showed any evidence of wear and tear, which I sort of expected with a rented suit. Highly recommend them!

We didn’t go to the shop but did all of our ordering online, so I don’t have feedback on this store location (I just picked the one closest to where I live). Overall I had a decent experience with the black tux. I liked that we could rent and buy the same suits since people in my party wanted to do both. My husband did a try on to find his size, and then when we ordered his suit was perfect. We just ended up needing a replacement shoe that was smaller. The process for getting a replacement was pretty easy for us and we had no issues. Our only critique foe my husbands whole process was that the dress shirts are pretty large. He had the correct size in his try on and it seemed like it was just made for a much wider person in general. Going down a size wouldn’t help since his neck and arm length would not change. Because of this we chose to not get dress shirts from here and just bought generic white ones from somewhere else for our party. It was also cheaper this way. A few people in our party has some issues though, and one pretty big one which is why I removed a star. I’m not sure why, but we found that everyone who went to David’s Bridal (in Warwick) to get sized had issues with their suits. They were all way too big and had to either get replaced or get altered. Everyone who didn’t get sized and just entered their sizes on the website had much less issues. Just a couple of replacements there. I would recommend trying to do the home try on to get your sizes if you can instead of going to get sized because of this. Our biggest issue was one groomsmen did not receive his replacement shoes on time. They were delivered at 3 PM on our wedding day, which did not work since we were already taking photos, despite reaching out to customer service multiple times and then saying they overnighted them. We were able to avert the crisis by swapping shoes with another groomsmen who thought his were slightly small. Without this convenient solution we would’ve been very stressed. We were planning to go to stores the night of the rehearsal dinner to find matching shoes. This kind of stress just shouldn’t be put on a couple the day before their wedding. We also had a handful of groomsmen who had to end up renting instead of buying because they were out of stock. But this is due to the wedding boom this year I’m sure and renting was fine. These groomsmen could’ve also ordered earlier to avoid this and didn’t, so I’m not factoring this in to my rating, just good for others to know. Last small thing was I requested swatches early in the process but didn’t get them. I reached out about it and they said they sent them again, but I just never got them at all. Not sure what the issue was there but I just gave up and went with the color I wanted. It looked great and matched pictures so it wasn’t a huge issue.

Do not use this company. They have refused to issue refunds for payments they collected for rentals for weddings cancelled due to Covid-19. I paid for a tux rental 5 weeks before they would have required payment (before ship date), 7 weeks before the wedding. I cancelled at least a week before the ship date. They refused to issue a refund even though under their own policy I wouldn't have had to pay them for another week or so. Their are other places to do business. On another note, I want to say that I am so sorry to all of the brides and grooms that had to cancel their weddings because of the virus. Our family did, and I know what a difficult time this is for all of you.

Super easy to use service with high quality suits and shoes. Very impressed! My fiance traveled to the Natick, MA Nordstrom where he made an appointment to try on a few different sizes and styles. We settled on the blue suit with brown shoes for our Cape Cod wedding. The ordering process was seamless. Everything fit our wedding party so well. Would definitely rent from the Black Tux again!

My husband used Black Tux for our wedding and both he and his groomsmen looked great in light grey suits! It was easy for everyone to order online and wonderful that it could include shoes, cuff links, bowtie/tie, suspenders, and shirts. Everyone received their suits two weeks before the wedding and were able to get size adjustments as needed in time for the wedding. Affordable and easy to use!

Our groomsmen looked amazing on our wedding day, and their suits from the Black Tux were great. That being said, the process getting to that day was nothing but headaches and constant calls to customer service. Constant. We had nothing but problems from day one, including random people being added to our wedding on their website (they said it was a glitch), multiple suits being listed on the groomsmen's accounts (also said it was a glitch), multiple payments being requested for the same suit (another glitch?), and more. All of the groomsmen went to Nordstrom to be fitted and none of their initial suits fit them. We probably spent hours of our lives on hold with Customer Service for the same issues, over and over again, which usually got fixed on the third of fourth attempt. I understand that things go wrong, but for a company that only rents menswear, it was such a tumultuous experience which added so much unnecessary stress.

I would highly recommend this vendor to all couples looking at suit/tuxedo rentals. My husband and I used them to outfit the entire grooms party. Not only was the website easy and simple for the groomsmen to use, but they had a variety of options making it easy to fulfill our vision for aesthetics on the day. The suits came 14 days in advance of the wedding, and every item was a perfect fit for all 5 groomsmen- no one had to return or exchange an item. The suits were not only perfect fits, but they were of high quality and comfortable to be worn for the entire event!

We worked with The Black Tux to outfit the groom, father of the bride, and 6 groomsmen. We were hesitant to use an online service but after a successful test tux we went for it. Tuxes arrived 14 days before the wedding. Five out of eight guys had perfect fits and didn't need a single replacement. Three of them needed small fixes, neck extenders, bigger shirts, pants taken out. All requests were responded to quickly and replacements came in overnight. I have to say we had one of the best dresses bridal parties ive ever seen. We hadn't a large range of sizes and everyone looked sharp, no baggy pants or too tight jackets. Overall super happy with this service and recommend to everyone!

I recommend The Black Tux to anyone looking for wedding tuxes. I was thrilled with how the tuxes fit my wedding party, and the quality was impeccable. We did have one fit issue that was quickly and efficiently resolved. Easy, gorgeous, and worth every (crazy reasonable) penny!!!

Highly, highly recommend this company! Excellent customer service with very quick responses. I was able to get tuxedos for myself and 9 groomsmen. Tuxedos arrived early and they were able to accommodate any size changes very quickly. Tuxedos were nicely pressed (even with the shipping) and the guys looked so sharp. Excellent fit and the style was modern and slim. Highly recommend over the generic tuxedo rental shops such as Men's Warehouse and Jos A Banks.

Excellent customer service. Great quality. Very handy when one of the tuxes didn't fit my groomsmen, we just called up and they overnighted one to us that was perfect.

Loved the Black Tux! The suits themselves are high quality and reasonably priced, and the customer service experience was great. We had some last-minute hiccups with delivery (due to a user error issue with one of the groomsmen) but every person who answered the phone--we called A LOT--was incredibly helpful, accountable, and consistent. I was initially concerned about handling the process online, but given the quality of the suits (especially relative to the price point), combined with super responsive customer service, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Black Tux.

Although there were a few problems with my order, The Black Tux did everything in their power to make it right. In the end, any and all issues were resolved, my tux fit perfectly, and it looked great. I recommended The Black Tux to every gentleman in my wedding and I will definitely be using the service again in the future.

Love these guys. I ordered within 10 days of my event. Website was simple to use. Put in my measurements and their customer service guys came back to me really quickly saying they had reviewed my info and recommended a different size. Great quality very responsive personal service, quick delivery, perfect fit.

The tuxedos were great. Perfect fit, high quality, and looked amazing. The price was comparable to competitors. The design and experience of the website was on-point. The suit I ordered fit me perfectly after I so easily put in my measurements. They made sure I got my suit a week before my event even though I ordered it late, and their customer service was incredible. I'm a trans guy who is very short and chubby so rentals always look horrible on me. I saw the The Black Tux online and figured I give it a shot because in store rentals are always bad for me anyway. I couldn't have been happier with choosing the black tux, as soon as my tux came in because the length was perfect and the shoulders fit great. It was the first time I had a tux that looked right for me and not like I was a little kid in my dads clothes.

The staff at The Black Tux were amazing! We ended up having to switch a groomsman & they were able to add our new guy & get him set up online that same day. Very impressed with their customer service - most emails were returned same day. The suits were good quality & everyone was handsome & happy!

Everything was easy! The tux looked great...amazing. I had my doubts about a service like this because I had never used an online tux rental "place". Thank you all so much. I wish I could send pics. I wanted to keep my tux. It fit perfectly! Thia is usually so hard to do with my bold, military frame...my legs are tree trunks! It even came qith paid return packaging...and tape! Phenomenal customer service. Sent 3 shipments, even overnight shipped the last package directly to my hotel, at no additional charge to make perfectly sure that I had the correct size for the whole tux ensemble in time for the wedding event. Forgot borrowed cufflinks and sent them back by mistake. The customer service person without hesitation was committed to return ship the items after receipt of the return shipment. Excellent customer service at the post-sale, post-event stage makes this company even more remarkable.

My "The Black Tux" experience was out of this world. Not only was the website easy to navigate, but when I called customer service, they were extremely friendly and helpful. I had my jacket sleeve length tailored the week of my wedding and Black Tux offered to reimburse me. On the Wednesday before my Friday wedding, one of my groomsman realized that he ordered completely the wrong sizes...we called customer service and they sent a completely new suit overnight. Everything fit great and the entire grooms party looked amazing. The process for creating an event and making it happen is so simple and alleviates a lot of the stress of worrying about your whole party. I will use The Black Tux again if I need to wear a suit and don't feel like buying.

Midnight Blue tuxedo + Midnight Blue waistcoat (vest). Paired it with my own pique-front tuxedo shirt and self-tie silk bow tie. Beautiful tux and great customer service. My first pair of pants was too big large, the rush-delivered second pair were perfect... I looked sharp, got plenty of compliments, and it was a seamless experience start to finish. My friend used this service for his groomsmen tuxedos on 4/30/16. I've been in several weddings and have had to go through the agony of tux fittings at unnamed mall tuxedo rental shops, where they always somehow manage to screw up your order, measure you improperly, or give you the wrong size. The Black Tux was not only super easy to use, and dare I say, "idiot proof," but the customer service was great and the return procedure was very convenient. The quality of the shirts, tuxes and shoes were also very good and fairly priced. I didn't feel like my shirt was going to light on fire, since it was a thick, high-quality cotton shirt versus the flammable, polyester shirts that other rental shops give you. Also, when the customer service rep noticed an anomaly in my pant and jacket measurements (I have a wide waste and narrow shoulders...), he called me to offer a sizing suggestion and to confirm my sizes were indeed correct. Overall, the tux looked great on my buddy's big day, and I was extremely satisfied with my experience. I plan on using The Black Tux for my own wedding later this year.

The process was soooo easy! I ordered a free measuring tape from them, checked all my measurements, and filled out the information on my account. That was it. No BS going to a retail location 4 times to fit, try on, try on again, pick up, return, etc. This was just one easy transaction. I did request that a jacket and pants be sent to me before hand, since I was the groom in the wedding, but they fit perfectly. I was very confident with my suit for myself and the other 5 suits for the boys. They all fit great, and we honestly got so many compliments. I will definitely encourage my other bachelors to use this service for their weddings, and I will def rent tuxes from The Blktux the in the future. Can't recommend this business enough. Great experience!

The clothes fit perfectly and the tux's Marina Wool made it a comfortable feel and i felt very good in what I was wearing. I would say I was one of the best dressed at my prom and I will definitely be using The Black Tux again in the near future. Prices are very affordable as well.

I've used The Black Tux twice now. First was a groom and the process getting my groomsmen fitted and taken care of was smooth sailing. I didn't have to worry about a thing. The second time was a groomsmen myself. My suit arrived a week early as expected. I immediately tried it on and the jacket was too big. I called customer support and after answering a few questions about why the jacket didn't fit a new one was on the way. Still, the new jacket didn't fit, it just needed to be let out by a tailor in the sleeves. No big deal. The best part is The Black Tux reimburses up to $15 on the tailoring so it wasn't a big deal. Overall, the website and process is smooth and fairly painless if you follow the instructions to try on your stuff immediately and stay in communication with customer support.

We really enjoyed using The Black Tux for our groomsmen. We chose The Rat Pack outfit for our groomsmen and The Newman for the groom (basically the difference of a bowtie for the groom and long ties for the groomsmen). Everyone looked great, the tuxes fit great, and the customer service was excellent. We had to get one pair of pants hemmed prior to the wedding and exchange a pair of shoes, but everything was easy and seamless. A great choice for modern grooms - I felt that the quality of the tuxes was exceptional and looked/felt more current than some other popular rental places. I would definitely use them again for another event!

Ordered my 4 groomsmen their suits from the black tux and couldn't be happier. They were easy to order for the guys, came on time looked great and they were all very impressed with the fit and quality.

The look was perfect and the customer service was top-notch. Several of my groomsmen received jackets or pants that were a little too tight. The Black Tux was such an easy option for my groom and his groomsmen to use! We live in Atlanta, with groomsmen spread across the country, and a wedding in South Carolina! Amazing experience using Black Tux!!! The service was flawless - we received an email from our "concierge" for the event the week before the wedding to make sure we were taken care of throughout the experience and we certainly were. From answering stupid questions from me (the groom) to addressing any miss-sized articles with my less than tech-savvy pops, they were absolutely on point. Some of my groomsmen were unsure at first, but they were all big fans by the end of the experience. No less than 5 of my 8 groomsmen (most of whom are married and have dealt with other rental options) came up to me unprompted and told me how much better the quality of the gear was and how surprisingly easy the whole experience was. I can't recommend them enough.

Rented the groomsmen suits from black tux. Came in the right measurements and right on time for the wedding. Groomsmen felt comfortable in them and didn't look awkward in them. They practically looked great!

Black Tux is amazing. I am a big suit guy (have several custom suits) and I can tell you this is the next best thing. The service is great, they're fast, and very helpful. Great quality tux and their fitting experts know how to get you the right tux!

Black Tux is a five star experience! Ordered tux and needed a different size shirt and they shipped it and had it to me before my daughters wedding. They also sent a neck extender just in case. Sarah took great care of me! I would recommend this website to anyone. Very convenient!
