We loved our wedding at The Blaisdell! The space is beautiful, and the gorgeous ballroom really stole the show for us. The white floral accent walls were what sold us, it added such an elegant and unique touch. Plus, the backlighting they have can be adjusted to set the perfect tone for the ceremony, dinner, and dancing, which made the whole experience feel really special.
We also really enjoyed the nice patio area for cocktail hour. It was such a great spot for people to gather on a summer evening. The venue also had getting-ready spaces for both the bride and groom.
The staff helpful and great with communication throughout the whole planning process. We always felt like we were in good hands.
We’d definitely recommend this venue to other couples looking for a beautiful and seamless wedding experience!

friendly, and did a great job of helping us envision our wedding in the space. We decided to book the venue immediately after our tour, and we are so glad we did! It has the bright, clean vibe that we were looking for, and was more affordable than comparable venues in the area. It’s also really customizable to make your dream wedding vision come to life!
Working with Kaira on the details for our wedding was also great! She was very helpful and responsive. I came to the walkthrough that we did about a month before the wedding with a ton of questions, and she answered them all before I could even ask! It was such a smooth, easy process on our end. We also loved that security was included, so we didn’t have to worry about anything!
The venue is so beautiful for a winter wedding, very cozy but still spacious. We took a lot of photos outside, and it looked so beautiful with a little bit of snow on the ground! We also loved the mural on the side of the building for photos.
We had our ceremony and reception in the ballroom, and the room flip during cocktail hour was totally seamless. We had a bar on the main floor and on the second floor during our cocktail hour, which was so nice to have more space for our guests and shorter lines for them to get drinks.
We got so many comments from our guests on what a beautiful venue it was, and we were very happy with our choice to get married at The Blaisdell! Thank you Kaira, Janet, and Blaisdell staff for everything!!

From the many back and forth emails to in person walk throughs, we felt so ready for our big day and had confidence everything would go as smoothly as possible! This venue is insanely gorgeous...so many photo opportunity's from the white back drops to the vines on the brick walls outside, it's all beautiful! We had a 73 degree August day (it was a true miracle) and the front lawn was so perfect for our cocktail hour! The Blaisdell has wonderful vendors they partner with as well to ensure a wonderful guest experience with vendors thag know their way around and what works/what doesn't at this venue. We got engaged the summer of 2020 right in the middle of the pandemic. So we knew we were looking at a smaller wedding ceremony and hopefully bigger wedding reception later on. But...
we were searching for a small, but classy venue that could host our immediate family ceremony in November 2020. We searched a ton of venues and eventually booked a tour at the Blaisdell.
The Blaisdell had the perfect intimate wedding package that would fit all our needs. It’s timeless and elegant. It fit the small amount of people we wanted in the front parlor with greenery over the fire place (which is included). They were flexible to allow my own florist come in and add flowers to the fire place and decorate the mantel with candles. Kaira is an amazing coordinator. She accommodated our needs and helped us the day of our wedding. They were so flexible when it came down to different family comfort levels with covid too. Thank you for making a covid wedding feel less stressful.
Due to covid they don’t supply water or beverages/cups in the intimate package. So bring water bottles or yourself and guest

This review focuses on the challenges we experienced with The Blaisdell during the COVID-19 pandemic. It was highly emotional for us to re-plan our wedding and reset our expectatio...
ns due to the current CDC/governmental restrictions with social gatherings. We were so disappointed in how The Blaisdell treated us during this time that we proactively cancelled our contract with them (losing 50% of our money, instead of 75% or more).
For background, we paid the entire venue fee in advance to The Blaisdell for our wedding planned for 5/30/20. The Blaisdell allowed us to postpone our original wedding date to Friday 7/10/20 when it became clear that holding a 150+ guest wedding at the end of May was not allowed under the CDC/Minnesota government guidelines.
Despite the restrictions on large social gatherings and wedding receptions, The Blaisdell did not offer us a refund. They did not offer a refund because due to our contract, we had to cancel 60 days in advance to receive 50% of our money back. It was not an option for us to postpone our wedding more than once, which was the solution they offered. We had been looking forward to holding our wedding ceremony and reception at The Blaisdell for over a year and half and we were disappointed with our experience with their team.

We rescheduled the date of your event and were working with you to reschedule another time. Much to our regret, you decided to cancel instead of accepting our offer to postpone the wedding with no fees.
While we are sad you made the decision to cancel, we understand and sincerely wish we could have hosted your event as originally planned. We processed your refund immediately after you made the decision to cancel.
We pray that your families are all healthy and well during these times and wish you two nothing but the best.

y, I seriously never had any concerns that The Blaisdell and their team wouldn't take great care of us and that was an amazing feeling. Thank you! Here are a few reasons we chose The Blaisdell: we were able to host everything- ceremony, cocktail hour and reception- under the same roof. But, there are so many unique spaces throughout that people were able to move around enough to provide some variety. We also liked being able to choose vendors from their vendor list, such as our caterer, bartenders, dessert vendor, etc. There's a huge parking lot across the street that we were able to utilize.

Our wedding, which took place on August 23rd this year, was a great success thanks to The Blaisdell. It was a comfy fit for 200 guests, and it was able to support both our ceremony...
and reception.
We were blessed with a sunny Friday evening where we had yard games, a food truck, and a live band. Guests were able to park across the street or catch a ride-share to and from the Millenium Hotel, where we were able to get a substantial room block arranged.
Please be advised that you need to procure your own wedding coordinator, and that the staff are simply there to maintain the property and offer suggestions about which vendors to hire. Only those vendors are privy to The Blaisdell's requirements.
In conclusion, this is a great place for a wedding. We certainly enjoyed it!

The staff (Kaira) was SO helpful and a breath of fresh air throughout the entire planning process. She was receptive to my questions and provided helpful answers in a timely fashion. the ballroom made our ceremony and reception feel glamorous and distinct from one another. When we first toured the space, they made it so easy to reserve our space and provided a fantastic list of recommended vendors - many of whom we ended up hiring. Janet was fantastic in helping us get the venue booked and contracts complete. Kaira was amazing from that day forward. She accommodated our silly "can we come check such and such out" requests, took the time to get to know our parents and the wedding party, made sure every detail of our wedding was prepared, and was an absolute joy throughout all of it. The hugs were genuine as we said our thank you at the end of the night and wish we could get married again simply to use the space all over again. Even before we said "I do" we were recommending the venue and Kaira to others. Without a doubt...DO IT!

are so easy to work with and made it fun. We were one of their earlier events since reopening so we ran into a few kinks (make sure your vendors know if there is a venue fee - especially catering!) that caused some last minute stress but otherwise, it was the perfect venue for our big day!

We had a large guest list and the multiple parlor rooms and upstairs space helped guests who wanted to escape the dance floor throughout the evening. The recommended vendor list was perfect, but they were also open to letting us bring in a few of our own. If you need a venue in Minneapolis, this is definitely a place to look at!

The Blaisdell was amazing! We had our wedding there on 7.22.17, and the space is fantastic. It has everything you need; a beautiful front yard for pictures, a foyer, upstairs space...
and lounge area for cocktails, a bridal suite to get ready in with a ton of space and private bathroom, another super fun space to get ready in with a pool table, and a huge ballroom with a built in bar. Janet and Kaira were wonderful and went above and beyond for us. We had compliments on the space all night. I would choose the Blaisdell again for our wedding and feel so lucky that we were able to be married in such a beautiful space. I highly recommend!
