From our first contact with the Blended Table, they just seemed to understand what we were looking for in a caterer. We weren't looking for traditional wedding food, but also wanted a menu that was approachable for our 'meat and potatoes' guests (you know who they are).
We landed on a delicious and diverse menu that had everyone raving. Seriously, several people said this was the best wedding food they've ever had. It's amazing how there was no sacrifice in quality while serving 117 people.
The service was flawless from the cocktail hour with hors d'oeuvres to the family style dinner (would recommend since there was so much great food that everyone wanted to try) to the mini tiramisu they served for dessert.
During preparation for the event, the Blended Table was professional and timely with responses. A real pleasure to work with.
If there's one thing we learned in our wedding planning it to HIRE GOOD VENDORS--they are the best!
Emery & The Blended Table went so far and beyond what we expected from any caterer.
We interviewed multiple caterers over the phone for our small (less than 20 person) revised-Covid wedding. Emery just put us at ease immediately and had great ideas and suggestions for the flow of the event. In addition to the food being incredible, they also picked up, set up, broke down and returned all of our rentals; made our ceremony super special by offering to bring all of the pretty chairs we rented for dinner to the park where we held it, ran out for random errands during the happy hour and literally created a dessert I invented in my head from scratch.
Emery and her team were amazing. They set up in the garage of the house which in retrospect was so much safer (all were in masks of course, but by separating the preparation from the dining room there were fewer people in the room at all times). They were the perfect crew in that we never noticed them unless they were serving something to the group. Emery has amazing "bedside manner" and multiple guests commented on how nice and polite she was when I had given her an underwhelming level of guidance on the cocktail hour and was not yet at the house.
We had:
- Signature cocktails: Mezcalita, old fashioned, grapefruit theme G&T (all excellent);
- Appetizers: Crab legs, oysters, tomato soup and grilled cheese bites, bacon wrapped dates, and Mac & Cheese cups;
- Main: Petit filets, braised endive, and grilled sweet potato;
- Dessert: Table full of desserts including my mom's dirt cake recipe (served in a tiny pot with a gummy worm), pumpkin mousse with layers of graham cracker and cream cheese filling, mini pecan pies, and berry crumble with mascarpone whip.
They made us a box of desserts to take on our road trip with us after, too.
If I could recreate this night I would not change anything! Thank you for making it perfect Emery + team!
We love The Blended Table! Matt was really great to work with- very flexible and patient, and had a lot of creative ideas that helped my reception look better and go smoother overall. The food was also incredibly tasty! We did a charcuterie grazing table and our guests raved over the options!
