is was not the case. Being a GF/DF bride, and having a lot of friends with allergies-- egg, almond, GF, DF, vegan, etc., a big concern was ensuring safety, plentiful options for all guests, and taste (my husband was our taster for the cheesy options). I assure you, we made no concessions in planning our menu. Our entire menu ended up being entirely gluten friendly with only croutons requiring a substitutions and Danielle reached out the week before with one substitution to make all of our appetizers dairy free! This ensured that all allergies were able to walk around and confidently any option and even the vegans had options. The Blue Pot staff were knowledgeable which added another layer of confidence for my friends, and because their menu was so transparent, I posted what we were serving on our website. I have been to numerous weddings where I couldn't eat or I could only eat a plateful of one item. The peace of mind Blue Pot and Danielle gave me is... truly priceless.
Lastly, we planned our wedding in KCMO from the east coast. When a hiccup with our trial happened and we couldn't do it at their location, they packed us a tasting in a bag-- take-out style. After our tasting, we felt confident ordering any item off their menus.

st was very reasonable for the quality of food and service. They were responsive throughout the planning process and worked closely with our planner as the big day approached. They promptly issued a refund when an error in billing was discovered. When we found out our venue closed just 9 days before the wedding, they coordinated with Supply Events to bring pedestals for the ceremony since the new venue was farther away. We had a number of last minute cancellations and in order to avoid a lot of leftovers, we asked if they could donate the boxed lunches originally planned for the vendors so they could eat the buffet. The only issue we experienced were items started to run out by the time the last table went through the buffet. The food was delicious and set up beautifully. The staff was kind and courteous. Our guests still talk about the food and service! We highly recommend Blue Pot for any catering needs.

to serve our plated dinner. And the food was just killer. The Hors d’oeuvres were BOMB. The wedge salad was delightful. The coffee rubbed steak and the mushroom ravioli - HOLY COW! The mushroom ravioli were especially mind-blowing because they were made in a way where even someone who doesn’t like mushrooms could (and did) enjoy! So many people had rave reviews of the food! For those doing a plated dinner though, I would suggest talking to Blue Pot about the timing of serving. I had never been to a wedding with plated dinners, and I will say, it did take a while for everyone to get their plates. We didn’t hear any complaints about that, but it just wasn’t something I thought about with this choice. As a final note, I just wanted to mention how personable Chef and his staff were. Chef came by our sweetheart table and personally served us our main dishes, thanked us, and offered well wishes, and this was just such a personal touch. The waiter who served us the rest of the night was also wonderful - very professional but so personable at the same time. We couldn’t be happier to have chosen Blue Pot for our big day.

hire Blue Pot to cater my wedding. After working weddings with them I knew they had the best customer service. They are always such team players, always helping other vendors out. Their owner and chef, Mark, has such a calm presence. He makes just about any set up work and makes it look easy.
When I went for my tasting I was blown away. Mark created a custom vegan menu for us. The food was incredible and it was such an awesome experience. It was our one and only tasting! We knew from the beginning Blue Pot was our caterer. The entire process was so smooth. We ended up adding on late night snacks and rehearsal dinner. The food was incredible. We had a vegan wedding and we really wanted to impress our guests since it might be their first experience with an all-vegan meal. Blue Pot did just that!

In a year of wedding planning during a pandemic, they were just fantastic to work with. So many of our wedding guests came up to us during and after our day to compliment the food and said things like "this was like no wedding reception food I've ever had" and "when can we have this again?". Everyone was blown away by how fresh and perfectly cooked every last thing was. Their team was fantastic to communicate with and there was absolutely 0 stress regarding the catering. I had Emailed them very last minute with a couple of questions and requests, and they came through no problem! I highly recommend Blue Pot to anyone trying to choose a KC catering company. I will not hesitate to hire them for any future events we are hosting!
