I never thought the wedding food would be one of the biggest hits of my wedding day. But thanks to Blue Pot, it was! My guests could not stop talking about how amazing the food was. The staff was attentive, helpful, and extremely kind to all the guest. I cant wait to work with Blue Pot again for future celebrations!

Very pleased with the sit down dinner for my daughter's wedding catered by Blue Pot. Food was very tasty & beautifully presented. The vegetarian option was commented on by several guests as particularly good. They arrived promptly with plenty of service staff who handled the appetizer, meal & beverage service efficiently & professionally. Highly recommend.

While I did not use The Blue Pot Catering for a wedding, rather for my father’s funeral luncheon, I could not recommend this group more! Mark and Danielle were kind and thoughtful during what was a difficult time. The attention to detail was much appreciated as I was planning from out of town. Not to mention the custom menu they put together was absolutely delicious! Everyone was raving about the quality of everything we served and their wonderful employee Darla set up a professional buffet, never stopped working clearing plates, restocking and more. We returned from the cemetery to find the leftovers neatly packed away and ready for us to take home. Blue Pot was probably one of the highlights of our wedding. I had a ridiculous number of people tell me it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding. Not only was their food amazing, but they were also great with communication throughout the planning process. They also gave us several boxes of leftovers afterwards which was so kind. Definitely recommending Blue Pot to everyone I know!!

Our reception dinner from Blue Pot was everything we could have expected and more. Despite our venue not having a kitchen, Blue Pot was able to set up a station and cook everything to serve our plated dinner. And the food was just killer. The Hors d’oeuvres were BOMB. The wedge salad was delightful. The coffee rubbed steak and the mushroom ravioli - HOLY COW! The mushroom ravioli were especially mind-blowing because they were made in a way where even someone who doesn’t like mushrooms could (and did) enjoy! So many people had rave reviews of the food! For those doing a plated dinner though, I would suggest talking to Blue Pot about the timing of serving. I had never been to a wedding with plated dinners, and I will say, it did take a while for everyone to get their plates. We didn’t hear any complaints about that, but it just wasn’t something I thought about with this choice. As a final note, I just wanted to mention how personable Chef and his staff were. Chef came by our sweetheart table and personally served us our main dishes, thanked us, and offered well wishes, and this was just such a personal touch. The waiter who served us the rest of the night was also wonderful - very professional but so personable at the same time. We couldn’t be happier to have chosen Blue Pot for our big day.

I cannot even tell you the number of people who told me the food we had at our wedding was not only the best wedding food they ever had but also one of the best meals they ever had. The food Blue Pot created for our wedding day was absolutely amazing. From the passed appetizers to our plated dinner, everything was delicious. The food was incredible, they were so creative with suggestions, and flexible when we asked for something not normally a part of their menu. Our guests were RAVING about the coffee rubbed steak, mac & cheese, and potatoes. I will be thinking about that Caesar salad for a long time to come. The late night snack was also a perfect addition to our event. Blue Pot was so incredibly responsive, easy to work with, and has an amazing team. I am so happy we chose to work with them for our wedding.

Food was so delicious and different from the usual wedding food!

One of the best decisions we made for our wedding was hiring Blue Pot as our caterer!! I've been in the wedding industry for 6 years. I knew long before I was engaged that I would hire Blue Pot to cater my wedding. After working weddings with them I knew they had the best customer service. They are always such team players, always helping other vendors out. Their owner and chef, Mark, has such a calm presence. He makes just about any set up work and makes it look easy. When I went for my tasting I was blown away. Mark created a custom vegan menu for us. The food was incredible and it was such an awesome experience. It was our one and only tasting! We knew from the beginning Blue Pot was our caterer. The entire process was so smooth. We ended up adding on late night snacks and rehearsal dinner. The food was incredible. We had a vegan wedding and we really wanted to impress our guests since it might be their first experience with an all-vegan meal. Blue Pot did just that! I truly think the world of Blue Pot! I don't think there's a better caterer out there!! I'd hire them for my wedding a million times over again!!

Blue Pot is amazing. For starters, they answer the phone and are so easy to work with. The food is delicious and the service spectacular!

Blue Pot was amazing for our wedding on 5/28/22. They were recommended by our wedding planner and venue and they did not disappoint! We did a tasting with them in 2021 and we knew they were the one for our wedding. They were quick to respond to emails and were so nice if I had to make changes. We had a plated dinner for 140 people and it was perfect! Guest raved about the food and passed appetizers. We were very happy with our caterer and definitely recommend.

WOW! Our wedding day food was amazing. Blue Pot not only made the planning process easy but they delivered a wonderful menu and service day of. Many of our guests made comment throughout the evening of how much they enjoyed their dinner. The apps for cocktail hour were amazing too. Everything was perfect from start to finish and we could not be more grateful!

Blue Pot was amazing from start to finish! My now-husband and I live out of state and had family members do the tasting. Blue pot was flexible with us every step of the way. On the wedding day the staff went above and beyond to meet our needs. They lit all the candles on the tables, cut the cake (which was not made by them), and searched the entire venue for a missing cake stand. The staff was incredibly kind and went out of their way to make our day special. The food was phenomenal and all the guests were raving. Book Blue Pot Catering for your event! The team at Blue Pot was an absolute dream to work with. Our dinner was a buffet, and it was by far the best food I have ever had at a wedding. Guests raved about it and we happily ate leftovers for several days after! They were extremely accommodating during COVID planning and took great of us the day of the wedding as well. Would absolutely recommend.

Blue Pot catered our wedding this past June and they were our fairy godmother. We were in desperate need of a caterer at what felt like the last minute, and they came to our rescue. Super easy to work with and the food was absolutely delicious! We had so many compliments. Our guests said as soon as they had the first bite in the night the great food just kept coming!!!! If you want something different, variety, and great taste you can’t go wrong with Blue Pot. Highly highly recommend!!!!!

I'll say it...our wedding food was the best wedding food ever, thanks to Blue Pot! Small plates, seafood, steak...all of it was SO delicious. Highly recommend Blue Pot for any event, large or small.

Blue Pot deserves a 15/10! We were set on hiring another big catering company in KCMO, but after meeting with Mark, the owner of Blue Pot, there simply was no question. Everything we tried was so delicious. They personalized everything to what we wanted and helped us build out a menu that fit our guests. In a year of wedding planning during a pandemic, they were just fantastic to work with. So many of our wedding guests came up to us during and after our day to compliment the food and said things like "this was like no wedding reception food I've ever had" and "when can we have this again?". Everyone was blown away by how fresh and perfectly cooked every last thing was. Their team was fantastic to communicate with and there was absolutely 0 stress regarding the catering. I had Emailed them very last minute with a couple of questions and requests, and they came through no problem! I highly recommend Blue Pot to anyone trying to choose a KC catering company. I will not hesitate to hire them for any future events we are hosting! Our reception was at the Bardot in downtown KCMO and they had no issues having passed appetizers on the rooftop and serving dinner from their prep kitchen.

We hired Blue Pot during Covid last year, when we had to hastily move from a 200-person wedding at a venue to a 50-person wedding under a tent in our backyard. Blue Pot came through with flying colors! Not only did they set up their own prep tent outside, but the food was so delicious! Everyone raved about it. They passed appetizers and then served a plated sit-down dinner. Food was anything but ordinary! Incredibly professional and easy to work with! Love them to the moon and back!

Chef Mark and his team were all amazing to work with! Our tasting was phenomenal and the meal on our wedding night was just as good! I had emailed back and forth on details with Danielle and she was super prompt and helpful as well. They brought us appetizers before the ceremony for the groom's cottage and bridal suite and that was a huge hit! They folded our napkins just how I pictured it and that added a great pop of color to our tables. We did buffet style and they served the food from the buffet line for our guests, everyone was able to go through in a timely manner and it felt very clean and comfortable. The food - WOW it was so good! We still have been getting texts from guests asking who catered because they loved the food so much!! Everyone was so nice, the food was delicious, we would definitely recommend Blue Pot!

As a wedding planner I love getting to work with Chef Mark and his team, they are so amazing! Their attention to detail, kindness, and execution are flawless; not to mention the food coming out of their kitchen is top notch wonderful! I will always recommend Chef Mark and the Blue Pot team to my couples! Not all catered food is created equal, if you want food that will WOW your guests this is the team to pull it off!

Mark & the Blue Pot team were absolutely wonderful to work with. Mark & the Blue Pot team catered our wedding. They were so considerate when we had to make adjustments due to COVID. Most importantly though, the food was delicious and so many guests complimented it. This was important to me when hiring a vendor as I wanted my guests to feel satisfied so they'd stay and enjoy the reception. I would absolutely hire them again to cater a future event!

We selected Blue Pot to cater our wedding last fall, and it was easily one of our best decisions in the wedding planning process. Mark and the staff were unbelievable! We were blown away by the tastes, presentation, and menu options. Mark provided excellent feedback throughout the process and graciously worked with us through many change requests. We sampled several competitors prior to making our tasting appointment with Blue Pot, and there was simply no comparison. Moreover, Blue Pot's pricing was also on par with some of those options, which was shocking as we would have gladly paid a premium. We can't thank Mark and his staff enough for making our day taste as good as it felt.

Really good food that was hot and fresh and excellent service. We had passed appetizers and a dinner buffet and they made sure there were plates of apps at the head table so my husband and I actually got to try everything. It was so good. They got about 200 people through the buffet so quickly and calmly. They were great communicators leading up to the event and just made me feel really confident in their ability to successfully serve--and they did just that. Can't recommend them enough.

Wow…words can’t express my thanks for such a lovely dinner for our reception. EVERYONE came up to us and complimented how great the food was. They were all laughing as they said “wedding food” is not usually one of the highlights of the night! The words we typically were hearing were “AMAZING” “WONDERFUL” “GREATEST FOOD AT A WEDDING EVER” !!! Seriously, from the tasting to the presentation and buffet….Blue Pot was simply amazing.

Blue Pot did an outstanding job with the passed hors d'oeuvres and meal at our wedding this summer! Even with our wedding being a few months ago, we are still having friends and family comment on it being the best food they've ever had at a wedding! We love Blue Pot Catering! We had them cater our wedding in August at The Guild. They did an INCREDIBLE JOB! The tasting was professional, well-organized, and personal. We loved being able to speak directly with the chef, Mark Juhnke, as we worked through options & made decisions about what we wanted. We had passed appetizers & a buffet-style dinner. Everything went smoothly & our guests RAVED about the food. From table set-up to packaging up our leftovers at the end of the night, the Blue Pot Catering staff exceeded our expectations. I communicated most with Kelly leading up to the wedding, and she was wonderful to work with! We found Blue Pot Catering to be very accommodating when it came to a few special requests we had and in meeting the needs of a few of our guests with special dietary needs. We cannot recommend them more highly!

Blue pot catered our New Year’s Eve wedding and they did a fantastic job! We decided to do stations to make things a little less “fussy” on New Year’s Eve and Mark had a great vision for what foods he thought would go well together while giving us a good mix of everything! On the day of, the food was amazing and truly unique to any other wedding I have attended! We got so many compliments on the uniqueness and the deliciousness of our food and it is always mentioned by our guests when we our discussing our wedding even 2 months later! They were efficient, professional and very easy to work with! Mark is a fantastic chef and I would recommend him and his team to any future bride!

Our wedding planner recommended Blue Pot for my daughter’s wedding and they were fantastic! From our tasting, which was a full meal, to the actual reception the food was amazing. My daughter did not want the traditional wedding buffet. She wanted passed appetizers during the cocktail hour and a plated meal for the reception. We were not sure we would be able to find a reasonably priced caterer to give her what she wanted that was a good meal as well. Mark and the staff at Blue Pot came through with fabulous food and service. Our guests raved about the appetizers and the duel plated beef and chicken meal. Everything was delicious! I highly recommend Blue Pot.

During the planning process, Blue Pot came highly recommended by a good friend of mine and was listed on our venue’s preferred vendor list. I am so thankful for their recommendations, because Blue Pot did a wonderful job catering our wedding! During my initial correspondence with Mark, he was prompt, provided several menu options and offered a full tasting prior to booking. Mark worked with us to create a custom BBQ buffet menu that our guests raved about! He took into consideration my husband’s food allergies and offered a full buffet menu that also included passed appetizers and a large dessert display at a very reasonable price. Mark and his team also assisted in ordering all the linen, flatware and china rentals. On our wedding day, Mark and his team were punctual, professional and courteous. Joe, our Banquet Captain for the evening, was so sweet! She set aside trays of appetizers for the wedding party to enjoy and made sure my husband and I were served at the head table. The staff was even kind enough to assist in serving drinks for the head table throughout the reception. Outside of the wonderful service, the food was delicious! We received so many compliments from our guests! Thank you, Mark, Kelly and the entire Blue Pot staff for making July 7th, 2018 the most perfect day!

Blue Pot Catering did a fabulous job for us at my daughter's wedding. I was a little worry about finding a caterer that could serve a plated dinner in a small event space without a kitchen. But Mark said he could do it with no problem and came through for us with flying colors. The appetizers during the cocktail hour were tasty, the guest enjoyed them. Blue pot did a wonderful job catering our wedding. Mark helped to plan out the perfect menu for our needs. We had plated salad and the heavy hors d’oeuvres buffet. They food was fantastic and we had so many compliments. The passed appetizers were great, Boursin puff and pork tostada. The corn flatbread was a favorite for vegetarians and the slice beef tender station was divine! Mark the owner was there and everything looked and tasted wonderful. They designed a very appealing food display. Kelly was also very nice with work with in organizing details and scheduling.

Blue Pot offers a wonderful variety of food and they can accommodate just about any request. For our wedding we decided to do something a little different so we had a bunch of different types/genres of food (tacos, fried rice, sliders, etc.). Everything was super yummy! My only small complaint that I heard from guests was that the food could have been warmer, but other than that everything was great!

My photographer recommended Blue Pot Catering and I cannot thank her enough for the recommendation! The food is excellent, of course, but Mark and his team helped me every step of the way when it came to linens, flatware, china, alcohol vendors, etc! Blue Pot is absolutely amazing and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a caterer!

Blue Pot Catering was amazing. They catered our wedding and from the beginning they were so easy to work with and very accommodating to our menu preferences. At the tasting, they had all the menu items for us to try . They allows us to make changes as we went. The day of, everything was delicious and we got so many compliments on our meal. Blue Pot is delicious. We did our tasting between thanksgiving and xmas and it was one of the best meals I had during the entire holiday season. My mom decided I had to have a plated dinner after seeing how it was presented at the tasting. All of our guests loved the food and some of them even followed the staff around during the passed appetizers because they couldn't get enough bacon wrapped meatballs (SO GOOD)! The food was amazing and I would be so happy to eat this again.

You guys... When I was planning my wedding the food was one of the things I definitely wanted to get right. I had reservations just picking a caterer on a website and trying them out...so If you see this I hope it puts you at ease!! Mark and The Blue Pot team were outstanding. They heard what my vision was for the style of food and they put an elegant twist on it to make it the meal to remember for us and our guests!! They were professional from the get go, and their food was so delicious. Unforgettable!

Mark and his staff were great to work with in making choices on our menu and subbing in and out options. They really helped us to customize a menu we wanted with the style of reception we were having (cocktail setup with food stations, heavy apps/finger food/or easy to eat with utensil). I barely ate at the reception, but everyone keeps telling us how amazing the food was!

Mark and Kelly were wonderful to work with from the very beginning! The minute we tried the food at the tasting we wanted to have them cater our wedding, the food wasn't something that was particularly important to us, but after our tasting we were blown away and had to book them for our wedding. We were not disappointed, the food and service was exceptional and all the guests are still complimenting the amazing food. They also came to our rescue the week before the wedding when our venue mentioned they couldn't supply champagne flutes, Kelly didn't miss a beat and got it taken care of with no issues. The Blue Pot catering did an amazing job as our wedding caterers. They were professional, timely, and always helped us with questions. They were very professional the day of the wedding, and we had so many compliments on the steak and mashed potatoes. Their staff was amazing and professional. Great company to use!

The second we tried Blue Pot we knew we had to have it at our reception. Mark was so easy to work with and even met us after business hours since we don't live in town. As excited as I was to marry my husband, getting to taste this food again was a very close second for what I was looking forward to most this day. The prices are very reasonable and he will customize your menu to exactly what you are looking for. I had at least 20 people come up and ask me that day who we used- they loved the food so much!

Mark and his team are wonderful!! Working with him was a breath of fresh air after meeting with a couple of other caterers in KC. We were able to set up a tasting with Mark within a day of originally reaching out to him and he was easy to reach throughout the whole process. He listened to our tastes and ideas and worked within our budget. The appetizers and main course were beautifully presented and tasted delicious. He is friendly, responsive and his food is amazing!
