I was so stressed about making my wedding perfect and The Barn and their staff took all the stress out of the planning and made my day perfect. We had lots of emails back and forth and phone calls but Jamie took my vision and made it a reality! Lonai was so helpful and provided the best signature cocktails for our cocktail hour, the appetizers were passed and it was all just so elegant! We were able to get the cutest pictures on the golf course that I will cherish forever. The champagne wall was the perfect idea for a welcome drink, thanks again Lonai! To end the perfect evening we had fireworks by the bonfire! I want to do it all over again!!!!!

ys willing to make exceptions for us, such as needing to do the menu tasting on a day they don’t usually do or allowing my father in law to tour the venue for us. They were so communicative and always answered our questions to the best of their abilities and if they didn’t have the answers for us they would find someone who did. They also were able to work in many dietary restrictions with late notice with no problems. Now the actual venue, it is absolutely gorgeous inside very modern and classic with a more rustic vibe, it can be dressed up for a more elaborate style or kept simple for a more rustic look. We had our ceremony here as well which was also a beautiful little area, it also made traveling to the reception a dream as all our guests had to do was walk across the parking lot. Overall I don’t think I could recommend this place enough, the workers were amazing and took care of issues before any even realized there was an issue, if I had to do it all over again they would be my first choice hands down!

Dinner was so good(salmon and green bean almondine) and the dessert which the bog provided was delivered to all my guests at the table (tiramisu) which I thought was amazing! We even had a bonfire at night with pizzas and popcorn to snack on while we were dancing. It was the best day of my whole life.

anned our whole day with just hearing what my vision was! I couldn't ask for better food, Buffets arent usually my thing but the Italian Buffet was such a crowd pleaser! The specialized services offered really made the night special. We decided to geet in early so my bridesmaids and I could all get ready together and it could not have been a better experience. We had mimosa and finger sandwiches made by the chef which took away all our worries while getting hair and make up done. Definitely an all inclusive experience!

dding a new one took over. At our rehearsal she was very rude and kicked us out because she was late for an appointment. We were never given a time we had to leave and had only been there for an hour. I asked if on the day of they would be running the event and making sure things went smoothly and they responded “that’s what the DJ is for”. I spent my wedding day guiding the entire day on my own. The food at the tasting was delicious, however we only got to taste 2 things. We didn’t like one of the dishes and they told us it would be $40 to try each additional entree and we had to come back another day. On the actual wedding day, the food was very overcooked and took over an hour to serve the entire wedding because there were only 2 servers. I was surprised to see there were only 2 for a 130 person event. The garbages outside were not taken out prior to that wedding leading to a massive bee infestation around all the garbage cans leading to multiple people being stung. They did not take the garbage out until we asked them to. The venue is gorgeous and it is such a shame they have not figured out how to run weddings smoothly yet. If you want to book here you need to hire your own coordinator or planner or it is not worse the stress.

ways to improve on our end, so we do appreciate your feedback. I would like to address a few comments regarding your review. Firstly, wedding tastings are complimentary for both the bride and groom, and looking back I see you did experience some problems scheduling a day. Because of this we did offer to you the ability to bring your mother, free of charge, because of the inconvenience this may have caused. As far as trying more than the 2 original entrees included in the complimentary tasting, we do charge a nominal fee and will schedule a second tasting so the chef is able to prepare. As far as staffing on the day of your wedding we were adequately staffed with 4 servers, 2 bartenders, a banquet captain, and the F& B director. Perhaps you didn’t see everyone as there are many moving parts and duties being done behind the scenes. The plated dinner is something we closely monitor and your dinner was served in 20 minutes which was 1.6 minutes per table. The garbage being neglected is very surprising as we have an hourly checklist that is followed and this is a task performed every hour. Lastly, I’m worried there may have been some misinterpretation regarding the DJ comment. We would never suggest a DJ runs the event. We do however provide the DJ with a generator for the outside ceremony service if they or you don’t have one for the ceremony music. Most, if not all, of the DJs coming here have used it many times in the past and are comfortable using it on their own without any instruction, I can only assume this was what we were referring to. Most importantly we want to apologize again you experienced stress on your wedding day as we want our couples to have wonderful wedding memories and create new ones with baby showers and graduation parties down the road.

However, day of the rehearsal, we were informed in front of our family and bridal party, the event planner was no longer working at The Bog and we had a new lady. The new worker was very rude and straight forward. I understand the stress of needing to do multiple jobs as a new worker, however, being informed by guests and bridal party about her rudeness was not great to hear. We wish we were informed prior to our rehearsal that the planner we’ve been working with closely was no longer going to be working with us. We were told for rehearsal and day of, we had to figure it out. Thankfully we had wonderful family that is familiar with the wedding business and they stepped up ( even though they shouldn’t have had to) everything was great on the day of since we had our family, but we only saw the planner once for about 10 minutes. Everything about staff, workers, etc, was amazing except for the planner.

Lilly and Linae were always checking in on us to make sure we had everything we needed and the amazing bartenders always made sure me and my groom had a drink in our hand. Our food was served very quickly for a group of 170 people and it was delicious. The ceremony site was beautiful as was the inside of the Barn, our guests loved the outside fire pit as well. Our guests loved the bartenders, we would absolutely recommend the brisket and barbecue chicken as buffet entrees, and the serving staff handled all of the kids meals and dietary restrictions very well. We were assigned a cart girl for us and the photographer for the bridal portraits and we had so much fun take pictures around the course. Since we had a Friday wedding, we were allowed to come in on Thursday morning to set up decorations. We also chose to do hair and makeup at The Bog in the morning - this did cost extra and the bridal suite is a little on the small side, but the loft area provided plenty of space for getting ready. Lastly, we had a band instead of a DJ and there was plenty of room for them to set up.
Overall, they were very accommodating to our requests and had so many great spots to take pictures.

We used the Clubhouse location for a wedding around 100 people, we enjoyed the more intimate vibes yet really like all the different options for Guests to mingle (ex., patio/fire pit/ the greens steps away). The breathtaking sunset and fresh air with little to no noise pollution was a cherry on top of our magical day. The upstairs did get a little tight with during the room flip but the staff did it so fast that guests were able to go back downstairs in no time. The staff was amazing getting the dinner out quickly, and it was delicious. The venue itself is gorgeous and didn't need to many extra decorations to make it even prettier. We thought the price was reasonable compared to other vendors in the area and the proximity to Milwaukee/airport. We would recommend this venue and would love to go back to a wedding here in the future.

t up until 2 hours before our event started, but it worked out that we had a family member set up while we took pictures. The food is amazing! We were not able to do a tasting as they only do them during the week and we were from out of town, but we were not disappointed with the Italian buffet on the day of. We did a set amount of kegs and wine during the night and it was great how they had cups prefilled for people to grab without waiting in line. We had some trouble with the in house mics during speeches which was unfortunate because most people could not hear the speeches, but I'm sure they could work on adjusting the volume to work better. Overall I heard many many positive reviews from our guests! Chuck was great to work with and came in on a weekend to answer questions and let my now husband see the venue. It was a beautiful day!

They were always just a phone call or an email away when I had 1 million questions. They were very flexible and easy to work with! The price is a plus as well!
They even had workers take us out in golf carts to take some amazing pictures on a wonderful golf course!! I would highly recommend the Bog to anyone!!

for pictures in various spots and they were very accomodating in allowing us to bring a surprise for my groom! We could not afford the buffet options listed so they helped us work out an alternative that was delicious and affordable.

efully choose a date and submit a down payment. We showed up to our appointment (which we had made a month before) and waited 45 minutes. The event planner never showed up. The bartender told us that she would show us around, showing us things that we could've seen by ourselves and she could not answer any of our questions because she didn't know the answers. It has been a week and a half and we have not heard anything from the event planner, such as an apology for not showing up to our meeting. If The Bog handles showings in such a manner, how reliable can they be on the actual wedding day? We were not pleased and would not recommend this venue, simply for the lack of professional and courteous service we received.

at the service you received in 2016 was unsatisfactory. This service is uncommon for us as we hold ourselves to a much higher standard and do anything we can to meet the needs of each and every one of our clients.

ized the night of the reception so I could come pick up items the following day. They were willing to work with me to allow my dogs on the grounds because it was important to me to have them there. They were also very excellent with service- the food was ready very quickly and the staff were extremely nice. The grounds are also very gorgeous for pictures and they allowed us to use golf carts to take a few people out for pictures on their grounds- for those who don't know these include ponds, board walks and many wildflower areas which are breathtaking. They also were very flexible and open to any decorations that I wanted to use in the space. When I didn't have a power cord long enough they noticed and brought me one without my even having to ask. They set up a very nice space to eat and sit and a separate area with a dance floor. The communication is beyond excellent and Carissa was always open to discussing any ideas I had and working to make them come alive. I would highly recommend the Bog to anyone interested!

d for a gluten free meal, which was no problem with them. Then I had to add a second gluten free meal just days before the wedding, and that was also no problem. The service the day of the wedding was excellent. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They were also extremely nice in helping us set up for and take down the decorations. We were also given a golf cart to take pictures around the course, and the gentleman that helped us was also very nice. I highly recommend The Bog for your reception.

and cozy gathering for a guest list of 100. The background of the golf course gave way to amazing photographs that captured memories of the day. The food was unbelievable and HUGE portions, well worth it! Overall, my husband and I were very pleased with The Bog and are happy we chose this location for our wedding reception!

My husband and I had an early June wedding at The Bog. It turned out to be a beautiful day so we were able to have our ceremony outside. The scenery at The Bog is simply beautiful!...
There were a lot more photo opportunities than we originally thought.
On top of that, the staff was excellent to work with. They are friendly and laid-back, but still very professional. Our Italian buffet was delicious and we received many compliments...and many people going back for seconds!
We loved The Bog and almost wish we could go back again for another wedding!
