I would tell any couple considering to have their wedding hosted by The Bradford Ballroom at Courtyard Boston Downtown to stop looking and book right away! Our wedding was PERFECTION and we would not change anything about it. Geri was AMAZING! She was professional, helpful and very easy to work with. She really went above and beyond to make our wedding a fairytale, a night to remember! Our family and friends are still talking about the wedding.
Beautiful venue and delicious food!
Geri, is great at her job! I highly recommend this venue for your special day. Thank you Geri and your team for everything!
I was a bride here and got married 10/15/21. Where do I even begin?! For starters the venue is absolutely AMAZING from location, to curb appeal, and especially the staff! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, the staff here truly made my experience one of the most memorable and cherished moments of my life! Cristina, David, Willie, Geri, Jill, and countless other wonderful people always greeted us with warm smiles and always strived to make my experience the best it could be that day. The price for what we received from amazing food, to a delicious cake from Montillio’s bakery, open bar, complimentary night at the hotel, and endless access to beautiful rooms and common spaces for my wedding party was more than reasonable! The bride and groom are supplied with beautiful huge open spaces to get ready in and made sure to set up fresh pastries, sandwiches, fruit juices, champagne, and hot coffee. If you are considering a classy downtown Boston wedding please look no further! Not only will the venue amaze you but the staff will truly make your experience that much better for you. I really could never say enough positive things about this place. Thank you courtyard Marriott! You guys are exceptional and gave me some of
Best memories of my life! I will never forget
You all and how you made me feel on my special day. We will be sure to stay at your hotel whenever we come home to visit Boston. You have gained a lifetime costumer. Much love!
My Neice, Heather’s wedding was October 15th, In the Ballroom. I can not say enough about how beautiful this event and the wedding reception turned out to be. There is two reasons it was exceptional. The ballroom is a classical magical room, and the staff that work at this hotel are not only caring and helpful, but they are like extended family. Christina, John, Willie, Vinny, David, all the wait staff, bartenders, clean up crew. Every single employee I came in contact with over the 3 days I was in and out, were exceptional employees. I travel for work so I am in a lot of hotels all over the states, I know bad hotel employees, and I speak from experience. I decorated in a roaring 20’s theme of Gold, black and white, to match beautifully with the ballroom, the actual ceremony was on the fifth floor in smaller room(there were 85 quests) oval shaped with a stunning ceiling and fireplace. The rooms for the Groom and his attendants, and the Bride and her attendants, were huge with lots of windows for natural light to come in. I am so amazed by the event staff, Christina and John were so down to earth, anything we needed they were there to help with an extra pair of hands, and this is the General manager and Assistant general manager of the hotel. The wait staff, are so amazing and attentive, 5 stars for the reception, food, bar, everything unbelievably how the service was, big shout out to Vinny, he is an amazing waiter and person. And my # 1 greatest shout out is too Willie Fielder, front door security, I would have lost my mind if it hadn’t been for him. Willie was always there twice a day for three days moving people out of the way for us to come in and unload out front of the Marriott and find us a parking place. Not on if the employees had less than 15 years working at Marriott, that says a-lot about their work ethic and how much they love their jobs. Mr. Marriott would be so proud of them all. So would I recommend this as a venue, I absolutely hands down would say yes. This staff took the stress out of what is always stressful to make it perfect for the bride and family. The ballroom is one of the most gorgeous rooms I’ve seen and the staff are caring, attentive, relaxed, considerate, conscientious, and full of love. Thank you so much everyone, we love you.
This venue is a hidden gem in Boston! We fell in love with the beautiful Empire ballroom with its incredible chandeliers and the unique charm of the hotel. We worked with Morgan (as well as Andrea and Rachael at the beginning) and they were all unbelievably organized and responded quickly to the numerous questions I emailed over. The only downside is that the guest rooms are small and the other event rooms besides the main ballroom aren't particularly nice. All the staff was incredible and we are so thankful we chose this as our venue!
Our wedding last fall at the Courtyard Marriott Downtown Boston was excellent in every way. We went for our initial visit about two years prior to the event and were blown away by the ballroom in particular. The venue was willing to work with us and alter their packages in order to fit our desires and keep within our budget. Along the way we were lucky enough to have Geri come in as the event planner at the hotel and she was a delight to work with. She gave us some great advice and helped us through the process a ton. The venue is beautiful, we had an entire floor for the ceremony and cocktail hour which was beautifully styled. For the reception we had their grand ballroom, it is absolutely gorgeous, we loved the chandeliers. Geri helped us stay on time and was around until the formalities were wrapped up and it was time to party. Our meals were great, we got so many compliments on the clam chowder. Our cake was from Konditor Meister and was included in their package, it was absolutely delicious and perfectly decorated. Overall it was an absolutely lovely night all of our gets had a great time, we are so thankful to have had our wedding here and will remember it forever.
The staff was fantastic! Morgan did an amazing job pulling everything together. Everyone raved about the food and they were able to create an ethnic dish for us!
I cannot say enough amazing things about this venue! My wedding was a literal dream. My wedding coordinator, Morgan, was absolutely terrific to work with. She was quick in responding to my million questions throughout the whole wedding planning process. She was extremely accommodating to any and all changes we made... even on the day before the wedding! She worked with all of our vendors so they were all on the same page and I didn't have to keep contacting them individually for set up times, etc. She also did an outstanding job making sure everything ran smoothly the whole wedding day and keeping us on schedule. The ballroom itself is absolutely beautiful. Since the hotel only does one wedding each day, you can choose any of the other rooms for the ceremony, "get ready" room, etc. The food was incredible and they accommodated multiple options for guests and were great with individual food allergies/restrictions. So many guests commented about how amazing the food was. The rooftop of the hotel was a great place for our first look and the pictures came out beautiful. I am SO happy I chose the Courtyard Boston Downtown for our wedding venue. It really was the wedding of my dreams.
The Courtyard was my dream venue and my wedding was exactly that; a dream. Megan, the former event coordinator, was my coordinator and went above and beyond from the moment I booked until the day of the wedding. Being Type A, I had a million and one questions regarding anything and everything about the space, logistics, and wedding in general. Megan was always timely and professional in responding to me, and met with me multiple times in person. That being said, Megan was promoted two weeks before my wedding, which did cause some miscommunication in some of the most important moments leading up to the wedding. For example, the front desk staff was unaware of requests I had made for wedding guests staying at the hotel, so that caused some unnecessary stress the day before the wedding. We also had some wedding crashers coming in from the hotel lobby, when we were promised that hotel security would be guarding the doors. Our card box was also left unattended for 15 minutes. My dad watched it from afar, until finally, an employee moved it to a safer spot. That being said, you will not find a more beautiful ballroom in our outside of Boston. The bridal suite is beautiful. All of the hotel spaces are YOURS for the day, so we were able to utilize a ton of space for getting ready, cocktail hour, photos, after party, etc.
After deciding we wanted to have our winter wedding at a hotel in Boston so everyone would all be in one place to party, we visited a few. All were great, but Courtyard Boston Downtown was better! The treatment we received and the ballroom made the decision a no brainer. It was absolutely perfect! I worked with Megan Cote-Rodrigues and Andrea Gonzalez and they were absolutely amazing!! Not only were they there to answer all of our questions and help us out with everything and were available for us leading up to our event (which was over the Christmas Holiday!) which made things so much easier. Another huge draw for us was that this venue only charges you based on the meal your guests actually order while most of the other venues we looked at charged the most expensive meal for everyone regardless of what they actually order. AND the food was phenomenal!!! You hear stories that the event won't go exactly as you plan and there will be hitches - but not with this team! They took care of everything - including coordinating with the vendors during the day and the icing on the cake was coming back to our room with all of our gifts and signs and our two uneaten pieces of cake layed out for us. Amazing! Our guests had nothing but amazing things to say. It was the best - hands down!!!!
We had an absolutely perfect experience at the Courtyard for our wedding! Kasey is a saint -- I sent her so many questions and thoughts and ideas, and she was always super prompt and completely sweet in getting back to me. She incorporated everything we wanted into our day, even when it was off the beaten path (like our pre-ceremony cupcakes, or our speakeasy-style cocktail hour where you had to speak a password to the bartender). Honestly, I'm a little sad that I don't get to talk wedding ideas with her anymore now that mine's done! She is so good at her job. If you have your wedding here and get to work with her, you're in for a wonderful time. The venue itself was completely gorgeous; it was as extravagant and elegant as anything could be from the 1920s, but felt comfortable, clean, and modern. Everyone there was so kind and helpful and made sure our day was everything we wanted it to be (extra shout-outs to the valets/bellhops and the catering manager who went above and beyond, too!). I can't forget to mention the food, though, since the Courtyard had the best food I've ever had at any wedding. Get the short rib; it's the best! I truly can't say enough great things about this venue because the people were so wonderful and the experience was so perfect.
This is the perfect venue to have a wedding. From the moment you pull up in front to your last experience there this place can not be outdone. The friendliest staff you will ever meet. Our coordinator Kasey and her entire staff were second to none. The cooks are top shelf, the housekeepers were fantastic and the door men were so very kind and helpful. Thanks courtyard Boston.
If you are searching for a Boston wedding with the most simply gorgeous room, then the Courtyard Boston Downtown is your venue! The Courtyard Boston Downtown was the 4th venue I had looked at and the moment I stepped foot into their ballroom, I immediately feel in love. The gold marble pillars circulating the room, the extraordinary chandeliers, and the breath taking ceiling are just some of the simply spectacular details this venue has to offer. The staff is extremely friendly and always available to answer questions and give advice. My wedding coordinator was a wonderful women named Kasey who was always available to speak and help put my mind at ease throughout the wedding process. The day before the wedding, I was able to drop off all of my wedding supplies and Kasey made sure the team set up the room exactly as I had envisioned. The food was hot, tasteful and my guests raved about. Thank you Courtyard Boston Downtown for giving me the wedding of my dreams!
I do not even know where to begin! I had my wedding at the Courtyard Boston Downtown on 1/21/17 and from my initial meeting with Rebecca Rowland I knew I was in good hands. The venue itself is stunning! The hotel has recently been renovated and the function rooms are gorgeous. There are function rooms on the 5th floor with stunning city views and decor. The Empire Ballroom on the main level will take your breath away with all of the beautiful chandeliers and columns. After deciding upon having our wedding at the Courtyard Boston Downtown I received an email from Megan Cote-Rodriguez introducing herself as my coordinator. Megan was always available to answer any questions. At our food tasting I also met Kasey Quinn and the two made an amazing team. We opted to have our rehearsal dinner at the hotel and make a fun weekend out of the wedding. The rehearsal dinner food was delicious and the staff was extremely accommodating. They made us feel like family. On the day of the wedding Megan, Kasey and the rest of the team took care of all of the details. There was no need for me to designate a point person and I was able to get ready and have photos done without worrying. Once the wedding started, from the ceremony to the reception the staff was just amazing. The ballroom took my breath away and all of my guests have raved about the food, staff and rooms. I do not think 5 stars is a high enough review! This is truly a hidden gem in Boston. It is extremely affordable but you feel as if you are having your wedding in the most expensive hotel in Boston. I cannot thank them enough for making my wedding the most spectacular day of my life!
We recently had our wedding reception at the Courtyard Boston Downtown. All I can say is that from the very beginning the staff was friendly, helpful, fun, and attentive. They were willing to work with us to make our vision come to life in a natural, non-forced way. Gary was great - really pulled together all the details in the final weeks leading up to the wedding. One thing I would have done differently would have been to put the location of the cocktail hour on the invitation (5th floor) because the digital sign in the lobby was not easily visible. But aside for some confusion at the start of cocktail hour, the whole event flowed well. The food was excellent - they have a new young chef who is very talented. The ballroom is beautiful. Many of our guests stayed at the Courtyard with no major complaints. The staff worked with us to provide coffee/tea/muffins for our guests on the morning after the wedding in the room off the lobby, which worked great. All in all, an awesome experience with Courtyard Marriott and the staff at Tremont St. Not to mentioned the points we accumulated and are using towards are honeymoon! Thanks so much!!!
The venue was fantastic and the people were great. The space was awesome and absolutely stunning, even though it's a "chain" hotel, the building and the decor are beautiful and the charm and the history of the building can be seen everywhere. Gary the coordinator was the best and the all the food and drinks was the best.
