I could go on and on about how terrible the bridge building staff is, but here are the facts. I don't want anybody else to go through what I went through for our wedding.
$8,000 gets you the building and tables/chairs for 250 from 9am to 11p...m that's it.
Our contract stated we had to decide about the upstairs tent 5 days before the event. They tried to change it to 14 days, and it took a letter from our attorney to get them to honor the original contract. (How can you get a forecast 14 days out?)
The food is good, plated dinner starts at $17, but they then charge you for waitstaff/chef/plates/cups/forks (they nickel and some you to DEATH)
18% tax is charged on everything, they say this is standard in wedding industry.
$500 ceremony fee (sandwiches for bridal party day of wedding is what they said this was for)
$500 building manager for day of.
$1000 for wedding planner. Required. (Never got our planning 'menu' items supposed to get 2, got 0)
Couldn't get a straight answer on cost of linens, ended up bringing our own for $300.
They have NO PARKING. If you want to use their lot it is $1200 for required valet. They don't even have handicapped parking.
Everything they told us ended up being changed at a later date. Promises were not kept.
Nathanial the boss was good to work with, but I think he needs to train staff more.
Day of, Leah bad mouthed our decor to another planner named Mcclane and played CandyCrush on her phone. Never asked what I needed help with, nothing.
The building is very nice, and the view is unbeatable.
But you can't have that view with the tent upstairs, I don't care what they say it kills it. They will pressure/bully you into what they want.
2 different outside wedding planners told me they will NOT do work with them because of their past actions. They both told me to run away, and there is a large group of planners that REFUSE to work with the bridge building.
Watch the invoices and contracts you sign with them. They will try and change them without your consent, and they will put BS charges on there. (Like my linens were quoted at $1200, and when I asked for a breakdown it only came to $900)
Again, you must give them 14 days out from your event the decision on all tents.
We did everything ourselves because we could not trust the bridge building to do anything. It took them 3 times to get the chairs for the ceremony, how can I trust them to do center pieces or other decorations?!?
If you do decide to use them, I hope you have better luck, and hope you don't work with Leah or mcclane.
