His life has taken him all over the world, and he is keen to share what he has learned. Shane’s mission is to bring great-tasting waffles and the Burgundian way of life to the people of Rhode Island, Southern Massachusetts, and Eastern Connecticut.
Shane’s dream of owning his own food service business began to take shape when he was a teenager. His real breakthrough, however, came when his career with the US Army took him to the Franco-Belgian border. Shane was stationed there for three years. During that time, he learned all he could about the Burgundian way of living. He also discovered the Liege waffle which, according to Shane, is the best of its kind in the world.
The Burgundian way is about more than a fondness for delicious food, however. It contains, within it, an understanding that a meal is best enjoyed in the company of friends and family. To be a Burgundian means to be part of a community. It is that sense of belonging that Shane invites you to share in. His company is a celebration of great food and delightful people.
The Burgundian: Coffee and Waffles is proud to serve delicious waffles through their partnerships with local businesses. The company also operates a traveling double-decker food bus. Couples and their guests can build their own tasty treats or choose from a range of classic creations and seasonal specialties. Enjoy a scrumptious Sweet Rhody or feast on Pumpkin S’Mores, filled with mouth-watering mousse and marshmallow fluff.
