We got married back in February; and since we had our tasting with The Cake Hag we knew that we had to go with them for our wedding cake because the flavors were and the combinations were so good! They did a SUPERB job with our wedding cake, not only the taste was fantastic; but it couldn't looked more beautiful... our own mothers even asked if the cake was real! THANK YOU for the amazing job you gals did!!

Very hard to get responses from. Usually had to email a few times and call a few times before I was able to get in touch with someone. Was told they would have my cake at my venue between 3:30 and 4:30, but they were late. In regards to cake, it looked and tasted very good.

Cake Hag did a great job on our wedding cake, small grooms cake and desserts. The desserts flew off the trays- so I should have ordered more!!! The cakes were delish and everything was there and looked great when we arrived (as bride and groom) at the reception! Appreciate Katie working with me to add some sugar flowers and tweak the proposal in the last two weeks to make it all perfect for us.

Cake Hag did a single tier themed cake for our rehearsal dinner and a 3-tier wedding cake for our (small) wedding in October. The taste of everything was incredible and very different for each layer. Between the two events we had chocolate/Raspberry, lemon, strawberry, and a low-carb spice cake. Everything was moist, and nothing was dry. They also accommodated my type-I diabetic husband by making the top tier of our wedding cake low carb, while not skimping on flavor! The cake was also stunning looking—very classic and elegant. I would highly recommend them!

Easiest decision we made for our wedding! The tasting part was so enjoyable - it took us forever to decide on a flavor!! Maggie listened to everything I wanted - multiple tiers and side cakes - and I am STILL getting compliments. The taste and the look - COULDNT HAVE BEEN BETTER! PLUS - they remake your top tier for your 1st anniversary!! No freezer burn here and always the best ingredients:) highly recommend!! Did I mention the AMAZING price?!!

Great great place to work with. The tasting was amazing. They made an affordable gluten free cake that didn’t taste gluten free! The decorations were amazing and exactly what I wanted! They were so easy to talk to and so fun to work with. Definitely recommend to everyone especially those with food allergies!

Our cake was absolutely unreal. It was perfect in every way. I am obsessed with it. It was gorgeous and delicious. Maggie and Katie handmade gold sprinkles for the top of our cake. They were so easy to work with and we had the best time at our tasting. These ladies know how to make a cake. Seriously. Thank you to both of them times infinity.

I'll be honest. I'm not much of a cake lover. However, Cake Hags offered so many options that it was easy to choose multiple flavors that were all amazing for each tier of our cake. They even let us come in for two tastings to try a variety before setting anything in stone. Even more than the flavor, they truly made our cake a work of art. I found one on Pinterest and (embarrassingly) had low expectations because, let's be real, how many things turn out how they look on Pinterest? Almost never. Our cake was that 1% that turned out exactly like or even more beautiful than the inspiration picture. It was absolutely gorgeous. I only wish I could include a photo with my review! Thanks Cake Hags! We will be back for a mini cake for a future anniversary =)

Maggie and Katie are the dream team! They did our wedding cake, grooms cake and cookie favors, everything was amazing and exactly what we wanted...and more importantly they tasted AMAZING! We got so many compliments and we can not thank you enough for delicious treats and an easy process!

To say we fell in love with Cake Hags from the moment we walked in the door is an understatement. The ladies working there are helpful, sweet, and easy to work with. During the tasting we decided to go with a layered cake with alternating buttercream and berry filling. Everyone at our wedding (including us!) absolutely loved the taste of the cakes and talked about it days afterward! Highly recommend this business in Glenwood Park!

My husband and I were in baked goods HEAVEN the minute we walked in the door to meet Maggie and Katie for our tasting. The buttercream tasted like butter like it's supposed to, the chocolate ganache was rich and divine, and you could tell everything was just so fresh. We wound up getting close to 100 cupcakes in 3 different flavors for our wedding and Maggie and Katie were both so patient in working with us, helping us pick the best flavors to complement each other, and above all else we just had such a great time with them. The cupcakes were gone at the end of the night, we only got to take one of each flavor home with us to enjoy later. Even the presentation for each cupcake was treated with such care. I will make a special trip to their shop whenever I need a cake or pie for a special occasion or just to satisfy my sweet tooth! Thank you Maggie and Katie for your passion for fresh baking and for just being you!!

I was so happy with our cake from The Cake Hag for our wedding! Katie was outstanding to work with and I loved how our cake turned out. I actually had 3 slices! their cakes are so so tasty! we also had so many of our guests comment on how delicious it was. I had sent photos early on in the planning process and they replicated the photos exactly and didn't have to take out a loan in the process to get what we wanted!

I don’t think I could recommend Cake Hag to anyone I know. We ordered a Wedding Cake and a Grooms Cake, and each of them had a problem. Our Groom’s Cake was quite complicated, and while they did their best to recreate it, it took several hours of explaining during the consultation, followed by multiple emails back and forth, and diagrams from me to get them to understand even the basic shape of the cake. The resulting cake was reportedly tasty (I didn’t have the time to take a bite, unfortunately), but it lacked the attention to detail the cake really needed. Not to mention, the Grooms Cake was 4 hours late into the reception, which meant a lot of our guests had already left before they could try it. For the Wedding Cake, we’ve chosen a cake Cake Hag had done in the past with minor changes to fit our colors. What arrived was nothing like the picture, and the flowers that we had bought to place into the cake (which Cake Hag explicitly told us not to attempt to put into the cake) were not deployed. The cake also wasn’t as moist as it was during the tasting, though this could be because the cake had to survive hours of being displayed, so maybe the cake was colder. I’ve already emailed them regarding these issues and asked for compensation for at least the flowers that I had paid since I did feel silly for paying for something that I didn’t use. But, they gave just gave us a reason of “well we were really spooked by a homeless man who accosted us” (which… if you’re from Atlanta, that’s not very uncommon, so you should have an idea of how to deal with that...) followed by a fervent defense using the contract. While I suppose I should’ve made sure every, single, tiny detail was correct in the contract (up to, and including, the exact, pinpoint location of the flowers, it seems), it’s unfortunate that Cake Hag was the only vendor we worked with who did not take enough care or attention during the consultation and the follow ups to make sure a clear understanding and expectations were set. Also, on the day of, they made zero attempts to contact me or the bridesmaids to give us an update on the status (especially the late Grooms Cake). In fact, we had to give them a call 2 hours in, and they had responded with a simple “we’re on the way,” and was several more hours late. In their defense, they did offer a free anniversary cake in hopes of making it up, but considering we don’t live in Atlanta anymore, I didn’t take the offer. Besides, what if they messed up that cake too? Oh! And if you do end up using their services, expect to hear terrible story about us. They were very eager to let us know of a previous contract they’ve had before where the client “wasn’t reasonable.”

Cake Hag was absolutely amazing to work with!! We picked a small two tier chocolate cake with a dessert bar assortment...It was a beautiful display and everything tasted so delicious!! The dessert bars and shooters we so delicious and there are so many options to choose from!! They were great to work with!! Very easy payment schedule and easy ordering! I would 100% recommend them for your special event!!!

I have been a happy Cake Hag customer for 6 years. They've made custom cakes for me for every other important event that I can remember and they were on the top of my list for our wedding cake. From start to finish, the ladies were so helpful and professional. I wasn't worried about anything cake-related. They made sure we found the flavor and look that was perfect for our big day. Absolutely incredible experience, product, and value!!! The Cake Hag was a joy to work with from start to finish. Maggie and Katie, the sweetest mother/daughter duo ever, opened their shop to my husband and I for a comprehensive cake tasting with every flavor of cake and filling possible-complete with a giant mug of milk to wash it all down! We decided to do a combination of cutting cake and 100 cupcakes with the cake one flavor and filling and the cupcakes three other flavors of cake and fillings (and I added a grooms cake of another flavor and filling with a fondant replica of the Canadian flag last minute-it was perfect and in every way), and the ladies didn't bat an eye or charge us extra for having so many flavors all happening at once. The Cake Hag delivered and set up our entire display at the reception venue, and they desserts were all the rage. All of my guests were raving about how delicious all of the different flavors were. I would enthusiastically recommend The Cake Hag Cake & Dessert Studio to anyone looking for delicious desserts for a large event or simply a birthday party.

Excellent cake tasting experience . We had our cake tasting yesterday, very flexible scheduling. They offered so many delicious options... hard to choose . We ended up selecting a naked drip cake as our cutting cake and added 4 additional cakes in a variety of delicious flavors, Maggie and her team were wonderful. looking forward to the event.

It's simple... We loved our cake and we loved working with the ladies at The Cake Hag. They offer a wonderful variety of flavors and it can be a little overwhelming, but they help to guide you with mixing and matching your flavors. They designed my cake exactly as we discussed during the tasting, and they were very flexible in the middle of the process when I had a huge change in my guest count! Kate is responsive to emails and voicemails. These ladies were mentioned to me several times during the planning process, and I quickly knew it was a sign that they were meant to do our wedding cake! I'm glad we went with The Cake Hag. Everything turned out wonderful. The cake was BEAUTIFUL AND DELICIOUS!

Our wedding cake was perfect! Everyone raved about the flavors and Maggie made the most wonderful decorations to capture our engagement trip in New Zealand and Australia. We will use them for all of our parties and events from now on.

I am soooo excited to have Maggie and Katie baking my wedding cake. This is a superstar duo whose passion and genuine love for their cakes and their customers simply cannot be denied. This was my third tasting and I was really torn and somewhat discouraged after the first two, but when I walked into The Cake Hag all my anxiety melted away. The presentation of the cakes and the fillings was amazing, and my fiancée and I had separate cake plates which was a Godsend because we have yet to master sharing (two only children, lol.) It made it so easy to truly taste each flavor (honestly I didn't dislike a single thing I tasted which I cannot come close to saying for my other tastings.) As if this isn't enough they are extremely conscious of the quality of their ingredients and food safety. They use organic and non-GMO ingredients like I use in my own kitchen. Honestly when I left (I booked on the spot) I felt like Maggie was now family. I was simply floating, grinning, I couldn't stop talking about how awesome that cake tasting experience was, and that's just how a bride should be made to feel. I could go on but this is long enough. I'm glad I wasn't mislead by some bad reviews I read out there. I'm so grateful God led me to The Cake Hag, and I look so forward to them being a tall sweet part of by big day :-D

Holy cow...our cake from The Cake Hag was the highlight of our wedding. And the week after when we were finishing the leftovers! We got a 4 tier cake with half strawberry with lemon cream cheese filling, and half Mayan chocolate with chocolate cinnamon mousse filling. Both were phenomenal! I would recommend them for any cake occasion.

Their cakes are so delicious!!! They have a wide array of flavors and make everything from scratch with fresh ingredients! They also do an amazing job with novelty cakes. They incorporate imagination, creativity, and delicious quality in all of their creations. They also are very fair on price. Communication can be a bit tough since it's just a mother/daughter team, but they always pull through! Love this bakery :)

The ladies at the cake hag make a great cake. It looked very pretty and tasted even better. We only had one compliant that the filling we chose didn't end up in the cake, but it wasn't the end of the world. Im sure we will be back to purchase other sweets from them in the future.

Our wedding cake was amazing!! It was beautiful, simple, and completely delicious (even the next morning). I have had so many guests tell me how delicious they thought the cake was (some of these people don't even normally like cake). Maggie and Katie were wonderful and easy to work with. The Cake Hag created for us the most beautiful and delicious wedding cake. Everyone at the wedding was talking about how moist and delicious the cake was and asking for seconds! We got a tasting box to select our choices in cake layers and flavor (it was so hard to narrow them down!) and talked a bunch through email. The staff was very helpful answering all my questions and very interested in getting exactly what we wanted for our cake. I would highly recommend The Cake Hag!! They're fantastic!

I've known Maggie for several years, but even with that bias, I can say her cakes are just fantastic. You can tell everything is super fresh. My cake was beautiful and delicious. Everyone just loved our grooms cake as well. She created figures of my now husband and I (she got pictures of our wedding clothes so she could get it just right), my figure was dragging the groom away from an xBox and the tv said "Game Over" on the screen. It was just perfect. And it was delicious!! I will use Cake Hag for my baking needs in the future as well!!!

The Cake Hag crew was fantastic. I have been fortunate enough to watch their business grow by leaps and bounds! Maggie and Katy walked us through the entire tasting process presenting a variety of combinations and options to please all of our guests.....including gluten free. We opted to go a little out of the ordinary for the 'Grooms Cake' and had a fantastic assortment of her doughssants (sp?)! They were to die for and quite the hit! You can't go wrong with the Cake Hag!!!!

We used the Cake Hag for our wedding cake and additional cakes. We had a cake table with a total of 5 cakes. They were all delicious and everyone loved the option of having what ever flavor they wanted. Both Katie and Maggie were great during the tastings and with any questions I had. They let us taste the cakes multiple times since they were releasing their fall flavors at a later date. Mixing and matching the cakes with the fillings and icings were a great option. We chose a few on our own and used their recommendations for the remaining flavors. All the cakes were moist and delicious, we didnt have any left to take home. We will definitely be ordering from them again, maybe for the holidays.

They use all natural ingredients and their cake and fillings were the best we tasted. We were sure the price was going to be out of our range once we tasted everything and saw the photos of their beautiful cakes but they were well within our budget. I HIGHLY recommend them!!!

Cake Hag was such a pleasure to work with! The cake far exceeded my expectations. Not only was it beautiful, it was delicious! I still receive compliments on how delicious the cake was even months after the wedding. Each of the three tiers was different, and a guest actaully remembered each in detail. I think this speaks very highly of their work. I cant remember the wedding cake from past weddings I have attended. We don't have any leftover to eat on our anniversary :)

I had been looking for a cake vendor for a while when a coworker told me he and his wife found the best taste and best price with The Cake Hag. They had the most variety of filling and cakes than any of the other tastings we had. We ended up going with the white chocolate cake and our guests loved it. The cake was also beautiful and looked exactly as I had pictured it.

Love love love Cake Hag! This mother/daughter duo is the best. From day one my husband and I were so impressed. They operate out of a cool commercial kitchen in a church in Grant Park. Out of all of the cake tastings (and trust me there were quite a few) they offered us the biggest selection to try. This included filling and cake. What I also liked is there approach to more "natural" baking. Let's face it, cake is not healthy, but they really try and keep things natural. One example was their red velvet cake that is made "red" with a Cabernet reduction instead of yucky red die. We chose a 4 tier cake with white chocolate cake & peach brandy filling and the other tiers had strawberry cake with strawberries and cream filling. Everyone raved about it! They also executed perfectly the rustic design we wanted. Best part of all is that they are so reasonable! The best tasting and value we found anywhere. Just wished I'd used them for the grooms cake!

We recently used Cake Hag for our wedding and groom's cake on 7-27-13. The cakes were stunning and tasted delicious. The cake was so good!! They saw the vision I was trying to convey and made it happened. My cake was so beautiful and everyone had nothing but good things to say about it. The ladies at Cake Hag are truly awesome and very good at what they do. They are also priced very well. They did not charge these super high prices and then fall short on delivery. I got two cakes for what I would have paid for just one somewhere else. I would definitely recommend these ladies to any bride or anyone who wants to have a cake. I will be using them again.

These ladies make the best darn tasting cake we have ever had! I will def. be getting them to make some cakes for us for years to come!

We love Cake Hag! We have bought several vegan bakes goods that were amazing, which led us to order our wedding cake from them because we wanted to have the best tasting cake! Don't get me wrong, the cake was gorgeous, but to us, the taste is more important! Since we don't like fondant (and we're pretty sure other people don't like it as well), we chose a vegan based butter-cream icing. Even through the June heat and humidity, the cake looked and tasted amazing! Cake Hag said that they had to make last minute modifications due to the heat, but I would never have noticed! Plus, we knew the Georgia heat would be an issue, so whatever they chose to do would be fine with us. We ordered a 4-tiered square vegan cake, and we expected to have some left over, but when we asked the servers, they said the guests had eaten it all!!! We were so sad to hear this because we LOVE the cakes from Cake Hag and we were hoping to have some at the end of the night! When you work with Cake Hag, they make sure your cake looks and more importantly to food lovers (us), tastes amazing! We love them and we know you will too!

The women at Cake Hag were awesome! My cake vendor fell through about a month before the wedding and these ladies were able to accomodate and offer exceptional services and cupcakes that were to die for! I would highly recommend them for anyone!

We found Cake Hag through online reviews and are happy to contribute now as well. Both ladies were a joy to work with and came up with a great design for our cake! Seeing it in person it looked even better than I could have hoped. On top of that, it was absolutely delicious (which was the main reason we went with them after the tasting!). At least 20 different people said how tasty the cake was that night, it was just so good. We really couldn't have been happier!

The Cake Hag is a great baker to choose if you are wanting something a little different and quirky. Their flavors are unique spins on classics and delicious! The owner is a fun, authentic woman who will give you the truth to help you out every step. However, in the end we ended up not getting the cupcakes we wanted, and that was not communcated to us. Given that the flavor that didn't pan out, was most of the reason we hired them. They ran into issues the day of, so not letting me know the crisis could have been in anyone's best judgement not to tell the bride. But at the end of the day, given the amount of cupcakes that were wrong due to what they said...I wondered if it was all accurate or if they tried to get me what I ordered. Great value and tasty, just a lack of communication towards the end and even after when I tried to follow up.

Cake Hag was the first and last place my husband and I checked out for our wedding cake. We loved the vibe we got from Maggie & Katie, and the samples we tried were delicious! They were easy to work with and responsive, which is a huge bonus for us to not have to worry about whether the cake would be at our wedding. The cake they produced fit our wedding perfectly and tasted amazing! We will definitely be ordering cakes from them in the future for other occasions!

I normally do not write reviews, but I had to commend the lovely ladies of Cake Hag!! They produced two cakes for my wedding because I had two separate receptions...both cakes were AMAZING! I also had over 800 people at my wedding so it was great to work with Maggie and Katie on various types of cake to serve (we had 4 or 5 differnt flavors). The taste and decoration were awesome (so awesome people are still asking for some extra cake weeks later lol). They also did a KFC cake for my hubby which was a work of art. They truly can do ANYTHING! Thanks so much for helping make our big day even more special.

Thank god we found cake hag - we had been to probably 10 different wedding cake vendors - from publix to celsos - and I just didn't like any of the cake. Sure, those other people could make a pretty cake, but at the end of the day, it's just cake! And I wanted it to taste good! Our tasting with Katie the cake was DELICIOUS! They use real ingredients and you can tell. We loved our cakes, they were so reasonably priced, AND Maggie and Katie were amazing to work with. We can not recommend them highly enough. In fact, we did! And two of our friends who got married around the same time as us used Cake Hags as well. Thank you for the beautiful wedding cakes Maggie and Katie!!

My cake vendor backed out two weeks before my wedding. Scrambling, I contacted Cake Hag (who I heard about through a friend who (highly) recommended them). They responded to my email within hours and set up an appointment at the next possible date. When we met Maggie and her daughter, Katie, in person, they were fantastic, friendly, hilarious, and extremely hospitable. They gave my family and me several different samples and spent the time telling us what was in them and the different options available to us. They took time to answer all of my questions and I never felt pressured. Even though we were asking them to bake our wedding cake on a weekend they were already booked, they fit us in (I think Maggie ended up working all night on our cake). Additionally, not only did they have the best samples out all of the vendors we had met with, their prices were significantly cheaper (beating some by 50%). I highly recommend Cake Hag and would pick them again.
