The Captain’s Club Golf & Event Center

I married here in September 2024, and the staff was great! Everything was set up perfectly, and there was excellent communication leading up to the event; with a bigger wedding of 160 people, the event space provided more than enough room! The grounds also offer plenty of options for great pictures.

I cannot express enough how amazing The Captain's Club is as a wedding venue. This place has everything you could want for your big day. I had a lovely outdoor ceremony, followed by an outdoor cocktail hour. The reception space is surrounded by windows that offer a breathtaking view. The food was delicious and the staff were exceptional, exceeding my expectations in every way. I highly recommend The Captain's Club as the perfect wedding venue.

Allison and Hunter were very helpful throughout the planning process. Allison was very flexible and gave us multiple options due to weather the day of. Our food was amazing!

We had the most beautiful wedding at The Captain's Club in Grand Blanc. The ballroom with the French windows and walk out patio was stunning. It was so easy to work with the event coordinators Hunter and Allison - they were quick to respond, answer my questions and accommodate my various requests. All of our guests were impressed with the FOOD! The plated dinner was so well done - it looked and tasted great.

We would recommend Captain's Club to anyone having a wedding! The venue was naturally beautiful, making decorating the reception and ceremony areas easy. The staff are all super friendly, helpful, and were always so accommodating to us. From the very start of working with them, they were always quick to answer any questions we had. We got so many compliments on how pretty the venue was and how good the food was. We can't recommend this venue enough!

I cannot recommend Captains Club at Woodfield enough! We booked them a year in advance and they were awesome at staying in contact with us to help on top of things. They were always available to talk and run ideas by them. They were so accommodating and fit every need we requested. On the day of, Allison and Hunter were there to making everything run smoothly. As for the reception the food was the best food I have ever had at a wedding and all of our guest were raving about it. There was not a single concern or complaint that I have.

I'm a pretty low-maintenance person in most areas of my life. I'd say my exception would be my rabid, fanatical dedication to safe COVID-19 protocol. Obviously, there's no real safe way to hold events but if you and your guests are willing to take the risk, Captain's Club should be your venue. They had the space, the masks, and the flexibility to set my mind at ease. Safety was my number one concern and Captain's Club nailed it. Technical Review: Menu- my husband and I are vegetarians and there were so many options for us and our meat-eating guests. The chef even proposed a meatless roast carving station for us! So considerate. They were very conscientious of the food allergies of our guests as well. Oh, and everything was delicious! Ceremony- Allison and her team were so professional and everything was organized and perfect. Packages- They have many flexible wedding/reception packages that take the stress of planning off your shoulders. They work directly with Special Occasions for all decorations as well. Choosing the perfect linens couldn't have been easier for me and they deliver right to the venue. Overall, Captain's Club has a wonderful team who were a dream to work with!

There is absolutely nothing bad to say about this venue! The food was amazing, and they have so many options to make sure your guests are well taken care of. If your husband is interested in a round of golf on your big day they can help set that up too! Photos at this venue are also stunning, whether you are on the course or near the building. You will be so happy to have your big day here. I planned everything for my big day during the pandemic, and the staff was incredibly understanding and so easy to work with to make sure our day went smoothly. I have recommended this venue already to friends, and will continue to do so!

Everything about this venue was amazing! It was an area my husband and I weren’t very familiar with at the time but we fell in love with The Captains Club as soon as we visited there! Our wedding was this past August and we loved the indoor/outdoor feel for our cocktail our and reception with the patio and ballroom, the guests loved it as well! Everyone was very helpful throughout the planning stages and although our coordinator changed a couple times due to people moving around, Taylor ended up working with us and she was awesome and so helpful! Also, since we were planning during Covid, they were very informative about regulations and there were always backup plans. Luckily, things opened up and we were able to have the wedding of our dreams! I only have great things to say about this venue!!

Our wedding was July 2021, after postponing due to COVID. Our original coordinator switched jobs prior to our wedding so we were placed with Allison. We loved her and she made us feel so at ease and prepared. She was in constant contact and answered all of my questions in a timely manner. Well fast forward to the night of our rehearsal dinner, and there is no Allison. I was told she had an emergency, which I completely understand happening but was still in a panic. I can't even tell you the name of the lady that filled her position but she informed us that Allison would be there the next day on our actual wedding. To my surprise, no Allison on our wedding day either. The lady that was supposed to be covering for her was only seen once before I walked down the isle. She didn't place my seating chart sign where Allison and I agreed on, which made many of my guest miss seeing it and had people sitting at wrong tables and pulling chairs which left some single guests at tables alone. The drinks were weak. I was disappointed after spending so much for the bar package. All of my guests complained about the weak drinks and I even got a stomach ache from so much juice being used to make the drinks. I understand things come up, but I felt like my wedding day was very unorganized which was sad after planning this for 2 years.

We got married at The Captain's Club in April 2021. The venue, food, and coordinators (shout out to Allison!) were amazing. Only issue we had was since this is a public golf course and restaurant, people could come in and out, and there was an individual that was not a guest of our wedding that was loitering around the area and getting drinks from our bar. My mother and our photographer had to kick him out. Other than that one hiccup, everything went smoothly!

Everything with my wedding went so smooth! From planning all the way up to day of, I couldn’t be happier with how it all turned out. Both of the coordinators were so helpful and made sure the day went exactly as planned! The food was great and all of my guests were impressed! I definitely would recommend having your wedding(or any event) at the Captain’s Club!

We chose the Captain’s Club as our wedding venue for a million reasons, most of all, the convenience of having a beautiful location with a single contact for the food, bar, linens, and venue. I would make that decision again in a heartbeat. PROS: Food, Bar, Linens, Tables, Chairs, and Tableware all handled by an on-site coordinator. Easy access to the venue for walk-throughs. Friendly and accommodating staff. Worked around allergies. Great communication. Free on-site parking with no time limit so your guests can leave their vehicles overnight without worrying about having to pick them up by a specific time the next day. Bridal suite for getting dressed. Multiple beautiful ceremony locations to choose from. CONS: Public venue so other people can use the venue and golf course during your visit – we had another wedding on-site during our rehearsal and high school homecoming students during our wedding. The venue switched coordinators multiple times before our wedding – though they did a decent job of transitioning so we didn’t have to repeat too many conversations, it was still a little nerve-wracking.

The Captain's Club at Woodfield was a perfect venue for our perfect day! From the first moment we visited, they made us feel extremely welcomed and heard. They had everything that we wanted in a venue... space for 200+ people, patio space, string lights, and the most important: THE FOOD! Our guests could not stop ranting and raving about how delicious our food was. The 5 cheese mac and cheese was a huge hit. Although we had perfect weather, it was super nice to have a backup plan for inclement weather. I also loved that hotels (with shuttle service) is only an 8 minute drive. The staff was super helpful at all times! I would recommend the Captain's Club over and over again!!!

The Captains Club is amazing! Even during COVID I was still able to have the wedding of my dreams! The Planning Staff there is exceptional and always answered my questions in a timely manner. The captains club made my wedding a dream! Not only do they offer beautiful locations to have both your ceremony and reception at the same venue, but they have incredible wedding planners that make your day so smooth and special. They are affordable, elegant, and even made changes needed within 30 minutes before the wedding started. I would highly recommend the captains club to everyone!

Captain's Club was AMAZING to work with. They were so accommodating and helpful. They answered every question, were thorough, and went over everything prior to. The day ran so smoothly because of the wonderful ladies assisting. I had zero worries/concerns that day. The food was wonderful but I have to say that it was the staff that made things so perfect. Big shout out to Alexandra and Denny, but also the other two ladies/coordinators that helped so much. They kept us on schedule, politely guiding us through it all. Hands down would work with them again.

We loved having our wedding here! The venue was beautiful, catered, all included, they set up chairs and tables exactly how we wanted them and had a great open bar option that wasn’t pocket draining! We did ours in the winter. They also walked us through everything and really made us feel special and helped us know exactly what to do- when! Overall, a great venue/caterer.

The Captain's Club was the first place that I wanted to have my reception at when I got engaged. They had done my sister's wedding 2 years prior and they made it SOOOOO EASY! I had Alexandra helping us plan and she was wonderful! I had nothing to worry about. I also loved that they offered a tasting event so my husband and I could try out food for our reception. They also pointed us to great vendors. We also got some BEAUTIFUL pictures at the site as well! I would recommend The Captain's Club to anyone!

My husband and I had the best experience with The Captians Club for our wedding. From the beginning till the end we had no problems at all. Any questions or concerns they took care of it right away. With being such a stressful thing, the captians club made it go smooth.

My husband and I got married here September 6th and we could not be happier with our choice. Captains club made us feel so at ease with our wedding planning. The whole staff, including Kerri and Alex were SO helpful during the rehearsal dinner and the day of. Being the bride can be stressful but it was a relief knowing everything was taken care of because these ladies are pros at their jobs. Also, the food at Captains Club is amazing!! We still have guests texting us saying how good it was! It was also nice having the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception all on site, everything went smoothly!

Our wedding was a few months ago (August 2019) and we are so happy we decided to have our wedding reception at Captains Club. The food was absolutely AMAZING! The salmon and prime-rib are fantastic! We had several guests tell us how great they thought the food was, which made us very happy! Having great food for our guests was a big concern to my husband and I when we were deciding on a venue. Alex (our wedding coordinator), and the entire Captain's Club staff was very helpful and accommodating - they all did a great job making our day amazing and a day my husband and i will never ever forget! :) THANK YOU!

When I first visited the Captain's Club, I knew it was the perfect place for our ceremony and reception. We held the ceremony on the back patio, and guests were also able to conveniently use the patio with strings lights and tables throughout the night during the reception! Alexandra was incredible to work with, as was the entire Captain's Club staff. They will literally go out of their way to help you, and that did not go unnoticed. My guests are still complimenting both the beautiful venue and it's staff, a few months later! I would recommend the Captain's Club to anyone!!

We could not have been more pleased with our experience at The Captain's Club for our wedding reception this last summer in June! From the very beginning, Alexandra was absolutely amazing with her guidance, ideas, and patience with all of our many questions. Throughout the days leading up to our reception and the day of, the staff was absolutely wonderful and so helpful!! It has almost been four months since our wedding and we are still getting family and friends who tell us that our reception was beautiful and that it was one of their favorite places!! Our wedding at the Captains Club on June 8, 2019 was so beautiful and stress fee. The staff at Captain’s Club was so accommodating, helpful and kind, they truly made the day. We had our ceremony on the patio, and the reception in the ballroom. Carrie and the team went out of their way to answer every question and make sure our day was taken care of and made sure we didn’t have any issue day-of. I had guests tell me how accommodating the staff was and how impressed they were with the service. We had a vegan guest who told me later that this was the only wedding they have been to with a separate meal for them that was actually delicious! They were unique out of all my vendors on how far they raised the bar. 10/10. Highly recommend.

Captain's Club is amazing! Not only is the venue beautiful, but all of the workers are super helpful through the whole process. My husband and I got married and had our reception there in June and are still getting compliments on how gorgeous it was, how everything went so smoothly, and how great the food was. 100% recommend!!

It has been a few months since our summer wedding at The Captain’s Club of Woodfield, and my husband and I are still getting compliments of how beautiful this venue was! Right away, Alexandra was prompt to respond to all my emails and answer all of my questions, I had so many! Alexandra was incredibly helpful and a delight to work with since day one! Not only was Alexandra a delight to work with, but all the other staff at The Captains Club were amazing. Also, I still have guests wanting to go back and have the “best chicken (along with everything else) I’ve ever had!” Thank you so much Captains Club for making our dream wedding a reality!!

Captain's Club was the perfect venue for our fairy tale wedding. Alex and Kerri were both so organized and reassured me several times not to worry about decorations and little details, that they would take care of all of it. They were both there in the morning of the wedding helping my family set up and even took on other projects and had experience with flower arrangements. They were both so amazing. The day ran so smoothly because of them and the rest of the staff. I felt so comfortable leaving the decor, flowers, and desserts in their hands. As for the reception, we had about 190 and still had plenty of room. All of the tables were spaced apart so everyone could still move and the dance floor was perfect. The food was delicious! Alex and Kerri listened to all of my ideas and were willing to make all of my ideas become a reality. I couldn't have asked for a better day! Captain's Club exceeded all of my expectations and more. It was and will always be the best day ever! Thank you again!

We had our wedding here last year in November and the whole experience, start to finish was phenomenal. They work with you in every way possible to make sure your wedding day will go smoothly. With any questions they always responded within 24 hours. The food was amazing. My grandparents got lost on their way to the reception and by time they got there the food was put away however the staff made them a plate and brought it out to them so they could eat. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone hosting an event.

The staff of The Captain's Club went above and beyond to make our wedding perfect! Our wedding was in the middle of winter and a pipe burst upstairs the day before our wedding which sounds like it would be a disaster, but they were able to contain the water, replace any water damaged items, and make the entire venue pristine by the next morning. Our wedding was beautiful and perfect, and our guests were thrilled with the amazing selection of appetizers and dinner buffet.

The Captain's Club was amazing! They were so professional and efficient. They made me feel like they had it all under control, so it made my job a lot less stressful. We worked with Allison and she was wonderful and very patient. She was flexible with changes and made us feel like our wedding was just as important to her as it was to us. Denny, the chef also went above and beyond for us. The food was delicious and he was open to any special dietary restrictions or other needs. They are seriously wedding pros, it was worth every penny. We can't thank them enough for making our day perfect! Not one single problem!

Overall, the Captain’s Club did a superior job with our wedding! The place is gorgeous from the inside of the ball room to the grounds. There were so many photo opportunities. The planning process was so easy. Every single person was such a pleasure to deal with. All questions, whether it was email or a quick phone call was answered so fast! They were very accommodating to any request we had! We were planning on having our ceremony outside but it was raining; they had a backup plan to move the ceremony indoors and it was equally as beautiful. We didn’t even rehearse the backup plan and none of our guests even knew. Kerri and the staff made it look so seamless. I can’t stress enough that they really know what they are doing!! We were married there 5 months ago and our guests are still talking about how fabulous the food was. (We had the salmon, thin-sliced sirloin with the demi glaze, and the beef carving station.) We also had a coney bar and our guests raved about the late night snacks. We are so glad we chose the Captain’s Club! They really made the planning so easy. They worked with all our vendors and I didn’t have to worry about a thing. We would pick the Captain’s Club a thousand times over!!! Truly, TOP NOTCH!

Captain's Club did an amazing job for our wedding on 10/26/18. They were always there to answer any questions or help us with any concerns throughout our wedding planning process. The coordinators did a wonderful job the day of our wedding making sure everything went how it was supposed to. This is a beautiful venue with delicious food and the best people.

Everything about The Captain's Club at Woodfield was excellent, from the venue to the employees. We had a large wedding (250 people), and the venue was easily able to accommodate our size. We wanted a venue where we could to the ceremony and the reception in the same location, and Woodfield had no issues with that. For the ceremony, you have the option of doing it inside (tricky with our amount of people), in a tent outside on their brick building (very nice), or out by the gazebo. We went with the gazebo and it was perfect. We got a sunny day and there was a bit of wind, but the trees around the gazebo killed the wind so our guests were very comfortable. One of the most important aspects to a wedding to guests is the food, and it did not disappoint! We had plenty of positive reviews from our guests about how good the food was, which is always nice to hear. For getting ready, there is a bridal suite upstairs. We also used this as a place to store our belongings and get away for a few minutes to reflect on the day. It's nice to have a private room on site like that to take care of anything or to simply reflect on how great of a day you're having. The layout of the room is perfect and the dance floor is a great size. We were worried about only having one bar, but the bar is very large and accommodated 250 people just fine. Lastly, a big shout out to Allison for all of her help with our big day. I promise you if you book your wedding at Woodfield, you will be taken care of.

Our wedding was everything that we expected it to be and more. As the groom all you wish for is that your bride has an excellent wedding experience and she had the wedding of her dreams thanks to the Captains Club. Allison, our coordinator, was an absolute joy to work with. She made the entire experience super easy and she was so accommodating. No matter what time we called her and no matter how many times we had changes she always found a way to make it happen. My wife grew up not too far from the Captains Club and has always had her heart set on getting married there. Thanks so much for giving her the wedding of her dreams. You rock Allison!

Picking out a venue can be a very stressful time in wedding planning but The Captain's Club at Woodfield made very easy! The staff was extremely helpful answering any questions or concerns and worked with what we needed. The food is AMAZING and we got to try plenty of options at our tasting. I could call them anytime if I had questions and they would help me out right away. They were very accommodating as well. I would definitely recommend!

I just got married on 8/25/18 at The Captain’s Club At Woodfield. It was honestly the best day ever and I couldn’t of even came close to that if it wasn’t for my two wedding coordinators Alex and Kerri. They went above and beyond to make this day perfect. I got so many compliments on the food, the venue, the dj, absolutely everything. Definitely recommend this place!

Captains Club is truly the most amazing place to have a wedding. The coordinators are absolutely top notch and do everything possible to make sure your perfect day happens as you dream it! They are incredibly accessible and up front about everything. Whether it is meeting with them to ask silly questions just to soothe your soul, or commandeering their entire office for the balloonpocalypse 2018, they make sure they know what you want, how to execute it, and how to make you feel confident that everything is going to be great. The staff is also incredible, from loading our plates of food for us, to allowing us to take over the entire bar for photos, to setting up rented tablecloths themselves so that we could decorate the night before, we could not have asked for a more attentive, understanding, and fun group of people to deal with throughout our wedding. And finally, the venue is absolutely gorgeous. There are so many beautiful places for photos and the way the sun sets over the hills of the golf course creates an amazing background to the reception where you are surrounded by windows looking out towards the driving range. There are many places to chose from for your ceremony, all with different atmospheres to fit just about anyone. I could not have chosen a better fit for our wedding day and the entire Captains Club made our day absolutely spectacular, stress free, and perfect. I got married on August 4th, and I couldn’t be happier with how the day went start to finish! Captains club did an amazing job throughout the planning process and made sure the day went as smoothly as possible. Allison was our main contact and she always made the process so easy. I recommend this venue to any soon-to-be newlyweds because they will ensure your wedding experience will be nothing short of perfect!

Kerri was very responsive and quick to answer my questions and give us suggestions. We had no clue what to do or how things were supposed to go so I had lots of questions and we needed a lot of guidance. Fast forward to our wedding day and Kerri and her team were so helpful in every way. We got married on the golf drive, on September 21st at 5:30pm, it rained that afternoon but cleared up in time for our wedding, the temperature was great, however, it was extremely, extremely, windy. We rented a metal arch for the ceremony and even with sandbags weighing it down, the wind was so strong it kept taking it. Kerri and her team worked on the arch for as long as it took to stabilize it for the ceremony. They also help set up the Shepard’s hooks and mason jar lanterns. The food at the Captains Club at Woodfield was delicious! We had a buffet style dinner and had personal servers for the bridal party which was so nice. The bartenders were awesome, my husband and I asked for strong drinks, they certainly delivered! Overall the Captains Club was perfect for us. The grounds are beautiful. The golf drive and the view once you are out there on it is amazing. The Captains Club is super affordable compared to other venues especially with what is included in their different packages. We are very happy with our decision to get married at the Captains Club.

I had a summer wedding. The Captain club at Woodfield was stunningly beautiful! We didn’t even need decorations. We rented the patio that over looked the golf course. They had strung lights out and on a summer evening it was so beautiful. Alexandra and the rest of the staff were such a great help! Great ladies to work with! The food was outstanding! Our guests couldn’t stop raving. I highly recommend this venue!

The Captain's Club at Woodfield was an absolutely amazing wedding venue. I have always dreamed of having a beautiful wedding day since I was a little girl and my wedding day was that and more. The wedding venue was amazing but what was more amazing was the wedding coordinators. Our wedding coordinator was Allison and she was the absolute best. She made sure our day was perfect. She truly cared about our day and was very professional. As a bride you always want to have a stress free wedding day and I was stress free. I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone.

I had an amazing experience from start to finish with this venue! I got married on May 19th, 2018 and to be honest hesitated if this was the best place for our wedding venue at first just because I wasn't sure if it fit our vision. As soon as I contacted Kerri and spoke to her she accommodated all of our needs and made it a personal experience. We had 5 months to plan our wedding and it really was smooth sailing with Kerri and her staff's help. I knew the day of the wedding everything would look perfect because of their eye for detail. The food tasted wonderful from the appetizers to the entree. All 215 of our guest felt comfortably seated and taken care of. The room really came together once it was decorated and the outdoor patio offered a place for cocktail hour and for people to mingle throughout the night. I really couldn't think of anything bad to say about my experience at The Captain's Club. My husband and I would strongly recommend it to anyone!
