The Carlisle Room is located inside the historic and newly renovated Lone Star Gas building in the heart of downtown Dallas. Originally built in 1932, The Lone Star Gas building is a combination of traditional Art Deco style and modern luxury. The historic space that is home to The Carlisle Room is 5500 square feet of pure opulence featuring soaring columns, a high beamed 20 ft ceiling in brilliant colors and relief sculptures carved into the stone walls as well as terrazzo floors. The new additions to the venue include a ceremony room, a private bridal suite and a groom’s lounge.

We recently had our wedding at The Carlisle Room and it was spectacular! The venue itself is gorgeous and so unique compared to other venues in Dallas. We loved that it has a separate ceremony space and reception space so we could do both in one place but not have to flip the room. It has so much classic charm, so you don't have to spend as much on decor to make the space beautiful.
They were flexible with our requests, and did not nickel and dime us for every little request or change, which we really appreciated! Jennifer, the venue coordinator, was great to work with and always quick to respond to any of our questions throughout the planning process.
The food was delicious and so many of our guests continue to rave about the food. And the bar manager, Matthew, was so fun to work with on our cocktails. He helped us craft our specialty cocktails and went the extra mile to customize them for us.
We loved that it is close to many hotel options so our guests could stay nearby and we didn't even have to arrange transportation because they just walked 1 block from the hotel.
I would absolutely recommend this venue for your wedding! The entire team made the planning process easy and the day went perfectly!
This venue ended up being everything we could have wanted! Seeing everything come to fruition was such a magical moment. From the ceremony room to the rehearsal area, all the details truly shined and made the day so special. Jennifer was such an incredible person to work with. Highly recommend this venue!
My husband and I got married at The Carlisle Room in April and absolutely loved it!!!! It’s such a beautiful venue, literally stunning and the staff is just as incredible! We worked with Jennifer Moore and she was so incredibly helpful throughout the entire planning process. She walked us through everything and answered every question we had. The food and drinks were so good, we still have people talking about how good everything was and also how incredible the staff was! I cannot recommend The Carlisle Room enough to any newly engaged couples looking for a wedding venue!
I could not imagine a better wedding venue. We really wanted to have our wedding in downtown Dallas, and as soon as we toured The Carlisle Room we knew it was perfect for us. And we were not disappointed! The venue is beautiful and we loved having a separate ceremony and reception space, all connected, indoors and air conditioned. Jennifer was great to work with throughout the process, and the beverage/cocktail manager did an amazing job creating our signature drink (and gave us a classic and elevated option to choose from).
The food on the wedding night was very good, and we had many friends and family members tell us how great the pot roast and stuffed chicken were (even my dad who generally doesnt like chicken kept commenting on how good it was). The venue also has a great layout for cocktail hour and buffet food service.
The Carlisle Room is truly stunning and unique, has a great location downtown near tons of hotels, restaurants and attractions (important for us since we had mostly out of town guests), and the food and service were great. Because of the amazing architecture, you don't need to spend an insane amount of money on florals and other decor, because the venue really makes a statement on its own.
Overall our wedding at The Carlisle Room was amazing and we had the best time. We did our rehearsal dinner downtown at Pegasus City Brewery (same architectural style as The Carlisle Room and nearby) and had our afterparty at Harwood Tavern which is a fun place right across the street (no reservation, just led folks to the bar after our exit), so I also recommend checking those options out if you host your wedding at The Carlisle Room.

Talk about an amazing wedding venue! I cannot say enough wonderful things about this place! My experience was perfect. Jennifer the venue coordinator and boss lady was incredible, she was easy to contact, responded quickly, knowledgeable and accommodating. The wait/bar/venue staff incredible kind and efficient. The venue in itself is STUNNING! I got so many guest compliments of the ceremony and reception room, the food and the overall vibe. And let’s just say this place is incredibly affordable for location and ambience.
Beyond the box catering was delicious and you have soooo many options to choose from. Also as a one stop shop it makes it easy to know that your caterer, linens, table are, bar etc. can be managed from one place. Also once again pricing is very appropriate for what you get.
Lastly, the venue is so beautiful your pictures can’t help but to be stunning. I haven’t gotten all of mine back yet but what I have gotten is just perfect.

Jennifer was simply the best to work with. Her communication throughout the processed was incredibly thorough and made sure you were in the know at every step. We planned our own wedding so she was gracious with her patience and assistance when asked. Her guidance helped us create our dream wedding. From tastings, layouts, floral, etc she had great input. The process with food was fun and enjoyable which ended up with a dinner that everyone rave about. The alcohol packages are incredibly affordable for what you get as well. The venue was so pretty and everything was perfect on our wedding day. Not a single complaint. The shining start was certainly the staff, who were simply amazing. If you are looking for a classy, elegant, and beautiful wedding venue that you can count on honesty, fair pricing, and no worries... The Carlisle Room is your place to be!
We had our ceremony and wedding reception at the Carlisle Room and IT WAS A DREAM! When I say this place gives the WOW factor, it really does take your breath away. You don't need that many decorations which is great because the venue is so gorgeous on its own. Also not to mention their in house catering and bar was top tier! Some of the best cocktails I've had in a long time as well as their food was amazing. Usually "wedding food" is sub par, not theirs..So yummy!
Lastly the manager/coordinator of the venue, Jennifer Moore, was so on top of it and very helpful with everything! She was great and I can't thank her enough for everything she did.

The Carlisle Room is a stunning venue. Jennifer and her staff were so kind and very accommodating. Everything was as I expected and had hoped for. The food, servers, and staff were all excellent. We made some very special memories with the most beautiful photo opportunities.
It is such a beautiful venue and such a wonderful location. The pricing is incredibly fair especially for the location (especially when compared to others close by!) Everyone has been so helpful in planning, and you can come in any day during the week to check out the venue and get ideas as you go! I can’t wait to have my cocktail hour and reception there 🤍
The Carlisle Room is elegant and first class -- exactly what I was looking for. The staff is impeccable; food was excellent. A truly charming ambiance -- something we should strive to bring back in the South.... Genteel ... I can't think of enough wonderful adjectives to describe the experience!

She was very communicative and resourceful in giving tips and tricks along the way. During our wedding reception, everything was 10/10--the food was delicious, the catering team and day of staff were so kind and made our event run so smoothly. The Carlisle Room was a DREAM come true! If I could do it over again I would and wouldn’t change a thing! The space was beautiful and they provided everything which made it so easy! The food was fantastic, and my guests keep talking about our Mac and Cheese and build your own Potato bar! Jennifer was fantastic to work with. She was very responsive and ensured that our ideas came to life.

Would definitely recommend The Carlisle Room! Their staff is great to work with and very professional. The venue itself is stunning, both the ceremony space and reception area is so pretty and nice because it requires minimal additional decorations. BNB catering was very good! The tasting experience was 10/10 and the food was even better the day of our wedding. Our guests loved the chicken tenders and waffles and the martini potato bar, as well as the signature cocktails.

Jennifer, the venue director, was so amazing to work with. She is so attentive, organized, and made sure to answer every single question we had. The Carlisle Room is a gorgeous venue! The venue is so beautiful on its own, you barely need any outside decor beyond florals. They have an in-house caterer and waitstaff, and while that can be daunting as it takes away the bride and groom’s choice, in this case, it is extremely beneficial. Their team is professional, their food is delicious, and the wedding was run perfectly. Their team knew all the details of the venue, which assisted me and my planner in creating the perfect wedding. Additionally, if you are having many out of town guests, the location is fabulous! We wanted our guests to be able to enjoy the whole weekend, and The Carlisle Room is conveniently located in a great area. Our guests stayed at hotels nearby and were able to walk to the venue and to bars after the event. The location made for an extremely fun weekend!
I cannot say enough good things about the Carlisle Room, our wedding was truly perfect! The venue is unique and beautiful with historical charm, and an excellent downtown location. The venue staff was very friendly and easy to work with during the planning process (Jennifer), and went above and beyond the day of the wedding (catering staff, venue team, etc). The food was delicious, reasonably priced, and they had so many options to choose from! We also appreciated how the venue was a "one stop shop" - we did not need to utilize any separate rental companies, Carlisle Room includes almost everything, and has additional items such as chargers and the band stage available to rent through them. Most importantly the venue allows for an amazing ceremony in the beautiful ceremony space and the upstairs (bar set up, dance floor area, etc) is set up perfectly for an awesome party! Would highly recommend the Carlisle Room!
So easy and flexible to work with!! The venue speaks for itself and looked perfect on our wedding day. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout the process, especially Jennifer Moore. Their catering partner, Beyond The Box, had so many options and each one we tried was amazing! I could not recommend using Carlisle Room more, they're the best!
I completely fell in love with The Carlisle Room the first time I toured the venue. The venue itself is so beautiful. It really needed very minimal decor because of all the amazing architect of the building itself. Jennifer at the venue was so easy to work with and very responsive. I reached out to her so many times over the year and a half that I was planning my wedding and she was quick to respond and SO helpful. I would highly recommend The Carlisle Room for a wedding and reception venue. It made it so easy that they were both there together and we didn't have to travel between the ceremony and reception. The staff were all phenomenal and made my wedding run so smoothly. Thank you guys SO much!
We had the BEST experience with The Carlisle Room! Jennifer is responsive and is on top of all details 24/7. The space is absolutely gorgeous even before decor/florals (we used both the ceremony and reception space). The venue was super easy for all of our family to get to (everyone was traveling from out of town), which was a huge plus for us! I would highly recommend this venue to anyone searching in the downtown Dallas area!!
Jennifer and her team at the Carlisle Room were nothing short of fabulous from the beginning! We merely walked into the venue and knew we had to have our wedding there! The venue is absolutely stunning and our pictures have turned out amazing so far! The venue is soooo elegant!!! Once I signed the contract, Jennifer put me in contact with our coordinator Shay and they made an excellent team! Everything was so smooth through the planning process and on the big day! Marco is also amazing! He made us feel so at ease and happily showed us around more after our initial meeting was over. He was even there waiting for my husband and I with a drink in hand for each of us after our ceremony concluded. Their catering company, Beyond the Box, was incredible as well. A month later and people are still raving about how great the food was! I will continue recommend them over and over again. I’m so happy we had our wedding at the Carlisle Room! What a gem!!!
The Carlisle Room was everything we dreamed of and more! It is a beautiful wedding venue with space for a big event and a fun dance floor. Jennifer and everyone on staff was amazing to work with. Additionally, this venue is very well connected and have great recommendations for vendors. We had an excellent experience. Heard from multiple people it was the best meal they have ever had at a wedding! Communication was great throughout the whole planning process and we felt that everything was executed perfectly. The Carlisle Room was absolutely perfect and we are so thankful we had our wedding there!!!
I'm biased, but it doesn't get more beautiful and classic than this venue. We had SO many compliments on the gorgeousness of our wedding and the venue is so elegant it didn't really need much decor. The Carlisle Room did our work for us! I also highly recommend using the ceremony room downstairs - it is stunning.

Beautiful venue that doesn't need a lot of decorating because it's already a standout on its own. Staff were wonderful to work with, accommodating, patient and knowledgeable. Loved having an in-house caterer. That saved us a ton of time and trouble trying to find a caterer once we had settled on the venue. Food was very good and the drinks were well made, not watered down as often happens. Highly recommend the Carlisle Room.
We just had our wedding here and my (now 😄) husband and I were very, very impressed with how well-organized, friendly and attentive the staff was!! Jennifer the director gets IT DONE! The food was ABSOLUTELY amazing. We got the Cajun style buffet and the tilapia and chicken were to die for!!! 🤤🤤 We didn’t have to spend as much on decor Bc the venue really does speak for itself!! Well worth the investment we put into the wedding!!
This was the most beautiful, unique, classic venue we could have chosen in the Dallas area! Also, the location is absolutely perfect. Jennifer was so easy to work with and super responsive to questions we had along the way. If we had to do it all over again, we would 100% do our wedding at The Carlisle Room ten times over!

The Carlisle Room is an absolutely beautiful, timeless venue in Downtown Dallas. It was the first venue I looked at and I knew it was what I wanted.
The venue itself has so much to offer - they offer just about everything in house, from chairs, linens, catering, even the stage rental, which made everything so easy.
Beyond the Box Catering was amazing - the food was great and they had such a large range of options and were so accommodating, letting us mix and match different things.
The venue itself it classic and elegant, one of the things I loved most was that there wasn't much additional décor needed to make the space look amazing . With just the basics - linens, flowers and a few small touches the space was absolutely amazing. It also offers a ton of great little spot for beautiful, unique photos.
The Venue team is incredible as well. Jennifer was so helpful and so responsive throughout the entire planning process, and she worked so well with my wedding planner as well. The whole venue team helped make the day absolutely perfect and seamless, everything went so well and our guests had the best time.
The Carlisle Room is a truly spectacular wedding venue!! We wanted something grand and timeless, and it delivered! The space is stunning--which made decorating easy and simple because it really does not need much! Jennifer and the staff were also a dream to work with. Jennifer was so helpful and responsive, and the wedding went off perfectly! We received so many compliments about how beautiful the venue was (a true hidden gem in Dallas), how delicious the food was, and how great the staff was. Even more, the Carlisle Room makes wedding planning so easy because they coordinate all of the rentals, linens, staff, catering, and bar! I could not recommend this venue enough!
The event space is beautiful and thanks to our planner and florist it was amazingly beautiful. The food was good but the service staff was lacking. One of the bartenders was serving alcohol to children who asked for sprite (like young children who actually wanted soda but I noticed their drinks looked like the brides signature drink. The parents tasted and confirmed they had been served the alcoholic signature drink). She also served many other guests the wrong drinks and several guests commented about how rude she was to them when they tried to order.
The Carlisle Room is such a beautiful venue that can make your dollar go so much further! We had a pretty strict budget but everyone was willing to work with us on it. They didn't have minimums for our Friday wedding which was key. Jennifer is great to work with because she is quick to reply and very forthcoming. Wouldn't change this venue for anything!
When we were looking for a venue to get married in, we knew we wanted something with history. We researched a lot of places and did some visits. We happened to drive by The Carlisle Room after one of our visits, peeked in, and knew right then and there that this was the place before we even visited! From the moment we visited up until the wedding day, everything went smoothly. There was constant communication, questions answered, and only positivity! We had no complaints and were soooo happy! This was the place for us! On our wedding day, everything looked so beautiful with the accents of the this historical venue, and everything ran without a hitch! If you are looking for an Art-Deco architecture with a modern flare, this is the place for you!
I can't say enough wonderful things about the Carlisle Room. First off, the food was incredible. If you're getting nervous about not being able to use an outside caterer - don't be.. We got SO many compliments from our family and friends. It was amazing. We decided to do a combo of different buffets for dinner plus a big antipasto spread and passed apps beforehand. Literally everything was a hit. Further, the venue itself is beautiful, the service is amazing, and everyone was super friendly and accomodating. We had drinks and appetizers waiting for us in the bridal room right after the ceremony, the bartenders were super personable and they poured a good drink! Jennifer our coordinator was fantastic and didn't miss a beat. Highly recommend.

We hosted our wedding ceremony and reception at The Carlisle Room. We chose the space based on its awesome downtown location, having both (but separate) ceremony and reception space, unique and historical design and architecture, and the items included. We loved that we needed minimal décor and “extras” to make both the ceremony and reception space beautiful. The Carlisle Room + Beyond the Box provides the seating (although we did splurge for the $7 per chair for the gold chiavari reception chairs), drink and plate-ware, and tables, so few rentals are needed (linens and centerpieces). Jennifer was helpful and knowledgeable about the space. Our friends and family thought the space was stunning and a perfect size for our 143 guest count (~15 tables). We would definitely recommend The Carlisle Room if you’re looking for a cool downtown wedding (and delicious food from Beyond the Box).
The Carlisle Room is a beautiful venue. Jennifer is excellent at her job, and she helps planning go smoothly. If we hadn’t wanted our ceremony to be at a church, the ceremony space there would have been gorgeous. We loved getting ready in the bridal/groom’s areas with our wedding party. Out of the Box catering was delicious and reasonably priced. We would highly recommend The Carlisle Room to anyone looking for a venue in downtown Dallas.
The Carlisle Room was the perfect venue for our wedding. The booking process was very straightforward, and Jennifer was great to work with. She was patient with us every step of the way and answered all of our questions.
The venue is absolutely stunning, between the striking white ceremony room and the gorgeous reception space. We really loved the aesthetic created by the high ceilings and art deco architecture. Jennifer and team were very flexible with regard to the floor plan, and gave us complete agency. The fact that we were able to hold the ceremony and reception in the same space was the icing on the cake!
Another great aspect of The Carlisle Room is the catering. They are affiliated with Beyond the Box, whose food is delicious. They offer a full spectrum of options for all budgets and tastes. Our guests absolutely raved about the food. Very, very delicious.
There are dozens of hotels near the venue, making coordination of out of town guests a breeze. CR also allows you to rent a parking lot for guests who are commuting. Everything about the venue was user-friendly.
One thing to note: CR does not allow open flame candles. Luckily the venue is such a great canvas to work with - we had no issues finding a beautiful alternative.
The Carlisle Room went above and beyond everything I could have hoped for my wedding day! The venue is absolutely stunning and so unique! All of my guests are still talking about it! The food and drinks are amazing! The staff is beyond wonderful, Jennifer and her whole team were everything you hope for in a wedding team! From the very beginning they were so accommodating, answered all the questions we had and did so in a timely manner, to the day of made sure every detail was perfect! Everything was exceptional and I could not recommend this venue enough! They made our wedding day everything we could have dreamed!
The Carlisle Room was PERFECT!!! It’s historic, Art Deco decor gives it a natural beauty you don’t have add much to for your photos to turn out looking like a million bucks. Jennifer was our coordinator and she made everything easy from beginning to end. They coordinate the food, alcohol, tables, chairs, linens, setup, take down, so you and your family just get to show up and enjoy! I would recommend The Carlisle Room to anyone and everyone. You won’t find this value anywhere else!
The Carlisle Room was everything we wanted and more for our big wedding weekend. It is so budget friendly. Everything about it. I hope it stays this way because by the time we went to tour TCR we were do defeated with ridiculous price tags in DFW proper. But THANKFULLY we found TCR! It is a venue with character. So you really don't need to do a lot. The natural ledges/cocktail rounds were everyone favorite parts. It made for a casual/laid environment in formal dresses. The entire staff was incredible. I am still receiving compliments on the bartenders, security guards & wait staff. Hats off to Jennifer and her team for making the entire process so enjoyable! Oh and their food was topnotch. It was even better the day of then when we did our testing! We did the chicken and pot roast - it was a full crowd pleaser. Along with their cheese and fruit display. We also got ready/stayed at The Statler Hotel. Being able to WALK from our hotel to the venue was just cheery on top. It made for such an easy weekend. We want to do it again!!
My wedding reception was held at The Carlisle Room and I absolutely loved this venue! The first time my husband and I visited this venue, we knew it was the one. It is the most beautiful venue with so much elegance that minimal decorations are needed. Jennifer helped us out tremendously and was very easy to get in touch with. The venue does have its own catering and the food is amazing! We chose the Cajun buffet and I still dream about the food. We could not have been happier with how the venue looked the night of our wedding. We were beyond happy! Thank you to the management of the Carlisle Room for all your help!
The Carlisle Room is stunning! Jennifer Moore was a delight to work with and made all the overwhelming decisions seem so much easier. The food was amazing and the staff was impeccable. This hidden gem is the perfect place to celebrate a wedding or any other special occasion.
We had the most memorable reception at The Carlisle Room on January 13, 2018. Jennifer was wonderful from the start! She was prompt to responding to any question, big or small. She also was very organized and kept us on the loop of everything! Our wedding was amazing and all of our guests have given us great compliments. The menu selection is very good as well. If you want to have a big reception in Downtown Dallas, The Carlisle Room is the place to have it !
The Carlisle Room is a dream to get married or have a party at. The staff is so accommodating, helpful, friendly, and will be sure to make your day a very special and memorable one...even if it means diving in the dumpster to find your cake topper that accidentally got thrown away! Jennifer, who is the Event Manager is always very quick to respond to any little or big questions you have and will do her very best to make sure your menu is exactly what you want it to be. She made the whole process seamless and was always very friendly also!
The Carlisle Room is absolutely stunning and was the perfect place for my November wedding. From the moment I walked in I knew it was where I would marry the love of my life. Beyond the timeless style, all of the staff we worked with were attentive, responsive, and professional! Jennifer made everything simple and smooth from the initial email through the end of our wedding. Arturo was with us through set-up to breakdown on our wedding day, and he helped with anything we needed, from unloading the decorations from my car, to making sure my husband and I always had a drink and something to eat during our reception! All of our guests were so impressed with the food, service and overall elegance of this venue. We will be replaying every moment of our wedding day from many years to come, and The Carlisle Room, Jennifer, Arturo and their team are to thank for that! 5 stars just aren't enough!
The facility is everything you could ask for. It has beautiful marble and art deco touches throughout. The bridal suite is perfect for a group of girls to get ready and the guys have a sweet set up for them to hang out in. Jennifer was a dream to work with! She was quick to respond with any questions you may have and offers advice from past events.
We had such a great experience working with Jennifer! We live in another state and came into town a handful of times to finalize our plans. Jennifer worked with our busy schedule to ensure we got everything we needed to get done on our schedule. She was so quick to respond to the many emails we exchange.

The catering company it uses is Beyond the Box and the food was AMAZING! Everyone kept telling me how delicious it was. They were very accommodating with my time frame (I was a NYE bride so we had to go past midnight of course). They were a huge help in developing how I wanted my wedding to look and I am so thankful for everyone that was a part. I could not have picked a better place!
The Carlisle was the perfect backdrop for our wedding! It was incredible for photos and setting the tone of the evening. Loved the high ceilings and extra space downstairs. Also, Jennifer was amazing to work with!
Beautiful venue and pretty delicious catering, but I cannot give 5 stars because the service on the day fell very short of expectations. Last minute I had to make changes to layout of the space with chairs, etc which was not a big deal but our coordinator failed to communicate that she was going to give 2 tours while we were setting up and in the end failed to even be present during some musical cues she promised to assist with. Here is a recap of what happened:
-We were allowed to start setting up in the morning (apparently this was a courtesy while our actual start time was 3 hours prior to the ceremony). While I'm getting ready downstairs around 1pm my family tells me some strangers are being toured inside and touching our flowers, my husbands guitar, sitting on couches, etc. When I asked to speak to our coordinator she was not sympathetic nor did she even apologize once. Instead she said they do tours all the time on weekends (which is untrue because we were never allowed to come in on Saturdays. I had to take time off work to tour my own venue that we paid for). Of course I know this is because we had beautiful decorations which would help sell their venue instead of empty space. So I asked if there would be any other tours and she said yes one more was coming in at 4pm (less than 2 hours before our ceremony and against our contract!!!!!). I was enraged at this point. How completely rude to give no communication about this and to even schedule this second tour while our guests would be arriving. She agreed to go outside and cancel the tour and after she stormed off (with a lovely eye roll might I add), I didn't see her again. She was supposed to help coordinate 2 music cues throughout the night (which apparently is not part of her job role when I spoke to the owner, but again this is what was promised to us), but of course that did not happen because she behaved like a child and did not talk to me again. The day would have been much smoother if this rudeness did not dampen the event. Unfortunately it's the one thing I actually remember because it stood out so much. Lack of communication about what would be going on on the actual day of your event and no apology for throwing this at us last minute were the main issues. Just make sure you receive clear communication because leading up to the day everything was going well so I was extremely disappointed when this situation was handled as poorly as it was. Otherwise the venue is stunning and fit our style perfectly, I just think the staff needs some more training on customer service for the caliber of events they wish to have here.
