The Catering Company of Chapel Hill

After interviewing several caterers, I went with CatCo on an instinct that whatever we finally decided to serve would be done well - and I was so right. I was all over the place about what type of service and what food we wanted to serve, but they helped me work through it. They could, because they have experience with so many different events and can offer so many different types of food. Chef did an amazing job, the food was delicious and beautifully presented, they were organized, efficient and professional. The best moment was when my most "foodie" guest went out of his way to comment on how good (and original) the food was. They made us look so good!

JW and his crew helped create a wedding day beyond anything I could dream of. In addition to food, they also provided design services to transform my parent in-law's residence into a beautiful outdoor venue. They worked throughout a very hot and rainy week to install and waterproof tents, flooring, a stage, seating, and etc. In terms of food, our guests raved about all the cocktail hour appetizers, and a very attentive server took care of me and my groom during the wedding, making sure we never lacked for a drink. My steak was too rare for me, but my groom enjoyed his, and the steak, along with the fish option, I had previously ate at the tasting was great.

As a couple currently planning our wedding, I was disappointed to have contacted The Catering Company of Chapel Hill from a list of preferred caterers for our venue, and never even received a response. I sent out an initial contact email, and after a week of not hearing anything sent a follow up email to get more information from them about potentially catering the wedding, and it has since been over a month and I still have not heard anything from TCCCH. This was more than enough indication that we would not have been a good fit working together, and I'm sorely disappointed in this experience from a company that has such a great reputation.

I was very dissapointed during my experience with the catering company of Chapel Hill. I was assigned to work with Kristen as my event planner. After initially contacting the company it took two weeks for me to get a hold of Kristen. She actually didn't even noticed that she had been assigned to my event. She assured me she would contact me by the end of the week with my quote but by the beginning of the next week, I still had not heard from Kristen. I sent emails with no response and even called with no return. Towards the end of that week, I tried to reach out to her again and she was out of town for the week. I asked to be given a new event planner, and they decided to contact Kristen to see if she would return my calls. I actually requested multiple times to have a new event manager, because I felt that she was not equipped to do her job. I finally set up a tasting, after a month of little to no contact with Kristen. I had felt ignored but tried to give the company the benefit of the doubt and not judge them as a whole just because of Kristen. On the day of my tasting, Kristen had gone to a doctors appointment and was not there. She was supposed to be my event planner! Once again, she let me down. I met with Becca instead and she said that Kristen was younger and she would help Kristen with my event because she was experienced. They still would not assign me a new event planner! I also was told at the end of my tasting I would be billed, Becca also asked if I would like her to go look at linens for me. I thought that was very kind of her, considering I had such a terrible experience with Kristen. Two weeks later I received an invoice by email for my tasting. They had also included a charge for linens. I did not ask her to do this, she offered and I accepted because I thought she was trying to earn my business and regain my trust since I had such a terrible experience with Kristen. There was no discussion that she would later bill me $30 on top of my tasting. I felt deceived. My experience with the catering company as a whole was very unpleasant. I am in customer service and I would never treat potential clients the way i was treated. I do not trust this company, nor would I remcommened them to be reliable. Why would I want to work with a company that I can not trust for the most important day of my life? Stay far away. Very unprofessional. I can not stress this enough.

Working with Terri to coordinate our menu and format for the our wedding reception was seamless and simple. We were looking to do some German/Polish items to salute our backgrounds and, she had several ideas and options to add on. The servers were all well put together and polite. The food was fantastic; all of our guests bragged about how yummy everything was. I would highly recommend them.

I was beyond thrilled with how our wedding and reception turned out - everything I had imagined and better. The food was delicious - the quality of a very good restaurant. It can hardly even be categorized as "wedding food" it was so much better. Our guests couldn't stop talking about it. And the decor (all pulled together by the Catering Company) was incredible! I will never forget that first moment when the groom and I walked into our reception, and it was like the greatest dream I could have ever had about what the space would look like. As an art person, the decor mattered a lot to me, and I could not be any happier with how JW translated this sketchy vision I had into a gorgeous reality. Also, I appreciate how smoothly the service ran. Everything was beyond perfect! The Catering Company is great to work with, and their events will take your breath away.

The food and service were incredible! Our guests were raving about the food and the company even sent us home with all of the leftovers from our buffet. I would give this my highest recommendation.

Really good food and excellent service. Easy to work with. Tailored the menu to our needs/desires. We even wanted to take the food home at the end of the night!

I have never heard so many people talk about the food at a wedding as much as they did at our wedding. Terri and her crew did an unbelievable job with cocktail hour and throughout dinner. The staff was incredibly attentive and the presentation of the food was masterful. They created dishes for guests with a wide variety of needs and everything was delicious!
