TCO was top notch to work with. The food at our wedding was phenomenal and guests reached out afterwards to tell us how good it was. We went with the Rockfish and apple chicken and it was SO GOOD. They even worked with us to integrate syrup made from blackberries my father in law grew into our cocktails, which was such a fun touch at our event. Charlottesville area their quote came out higher than our other vendors in the area but was also the most honest/realistic of the quotes. All the other caterers in the area left off important rental items such as “ silverware” and “the things needed to actually cook the meal you want”. We had some surprises at the end but it was less than what it would have been with the other caterers.

The Catering Outfit did a more than fantastic job with my wedding. Not only was all the food amazing, the team worked with a great deal of professionalism. The pre wedding approach couldn't have been smoother and communication about all aspects of the event were answered. They handled all of the dietary restrictions for our guests without any issue and made sure every detail and request was catered to. The food and service the day of was amazing - our guests keep saying how impressed they were and how great the food was. I highly recommend TCO.

The Catering Outfit and Courtney were by far the BEST vendor of our evening. They paid close attention to details that I mentioned over our various meetings and the food was AMAZING. Our guests couldn’t stop mentioning to me how great everything was. Courtney brought my crazy ideas to life like espresso martini shooters, different signature cocktails for cocktail hour & dinner and mini ice creams for dessert to name a few. She was very diligent and made sure I had my favorite drink in hand too. She managed my expectations with my parents and had great knowledge about the venue. Her staff was professional and timely! We felt her recommendations were on point and the best recommendations financially as well. Could not recommend them enough!!

The Catering Outfit and Courtney are beyond amazing! A couple years ago we went to a wedding that was catered by TCO and planned by Courtney. After tasting their delicious food and drinks and seeing how flawless and beautiful the wedding was, we knew we wanted them for our special day. Our food was beyond incredible and signature drinks were fresh, unique, and a BIG hit. Our family and friends are still talking about our food and drinks. The TCO team provided outstanding service. Everyone we worked with was professional, friendly, and accommodated all of our wishes and needs. Courtney is the best! She made the stressful planning experience easy and enjoyable. She was always available to answered any questions we had and went above and beyond to provide recommendations and guidance. Courtney took all my random ideas and created the most beautiful ceremony, reception space, and wedding. Her attention to detail and organization truly made our day perfect. This team exceeded all of our expectations and we cannot thank and say enough about them!

The Catering Outfit was a clear choice for our wedding at Mount Fair Vineyard. When we scheduled our tasting, it couldn't have gone any better with Frank. Professional, fun, organized, etc. Everything tasted amazing, we had our entire menu picked out within a few hours. There's a few other benefits working with The Catering Outfit. One is they have a great relationship with MS Events (Rentals) so they can handle all the contracts together and you can have confidence that everything will run smoothly. Another is the volume of staff they bring with them. There had to have been 15-20 people across the property setting up, cooking, serving, bartending, cleaning, etc. They left the venue spotless, were dressed and operated as professionals and served amazing food. People will tell you that no one will remember what they ate at your wedding. I certainly did though, and we certainly got a ton of complements on the food that was served! And what people will definitely remember is the quality of service and professionalism. On that front, we were covered and then some. I cannot stress enough, WORK WITH A FULL SERVICE CATERER. We had originally planned to work with a caterer who was not full service and quickly discovered how many tiny responsibilities are covered when you work with a true full-service caterer. All in all, couldn't have asked for a better catering partner for the biggest weekend of our lives so far. Thank you Frank and Courtney!!!!!!!

We were so happy with our choice of the catering outfit for our wedding! Frank was incredible to work with. He and his team worked so hard the day of our wedding to flip the ceremony space to the reception space. Everything was absolutely beautiful, everyone was so professional, and the food was DELICIOUS. Everyone still keeps telling us how good it was. And our bartenders were INCREDIBLE. They were so much fun and literally danced the entire night - truly one of the highlights of the day!

"Walk, don't run, to book the catering outfit! When my husband and I first began planning our wedding, at the top of both of our lists in terms of importance was food. Coming from a hospitality background, great food and great service were incredibly important to the guest experience. We were actually recommended the catering outfit by our groomsman who used him for his wedding in 2021. We were not disappointed! While initial email communication was a little slow (we were doing our planning during peak wedding season, so it's totally understandable!), the team was always available to take my call or get me the answers I needed (of which I had many, many, MANY questions!). They were incredibly kind and helpful as I navigated planning our menu. We were a bit indecisive on what we wanted, and they were so patient as we went through all of our revisions and prepared for our tasting. They can do just about everything you can imagine, including some amazing vegan, gluten free, and nut free options! We wound up doing three different action stations, passed hors d'eouvres, and late night bites. Our day of event manager was Makayla. She was AWESOME! She was so quick to respond and helped us figure out our floor plan, rain plan, and everything else we hadn't even thought of. They paid attention to all the little details and laundry list of dietary restrictions of me and our guests. Our tasting was amazing and the food was SO good. They even had a lovely touch after the ceremony for the wedding party to make sure we stayed fed and happy through the flurry of photos. She had such great communication with our day of planner and was so easy going. On the day of, we barely had time to say hello, but I didn't have to wonder or ask about a single thing - they had it taken care of! Everyone was RAVING about the food all night, and we even got some leftovers to enjoy the next morning. The rest of the day of team was so fun and lively, and absolutely professional! I could not have asked for a better catering team. I'm still dreaming about the coconut shrimp! They did such a phenomenal job setting up and breaking down our ceremony and reception space, even with last minute adjustments due to weather and moving our DJ! Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone on the team for all your phenomenal work and making our wedding one to remember!"

My wife and I worked with Makayla Baxter(our day-of coordinator) and The Catering Outfit(TCO) for our wedding. TCO has mastered the art of elegant, unique, and delicious catering options. The aesthetics and details of the food seems like it should be unparalleled, but just wait until you actually taste it! They offered a free tasting of our final selection of meals for us and our loved ones, which was a great experience. The day of our wedding was truly perfect! The catering team even prepared a honeymoon kit with tasty treats for us. The staff were delightful and multiple guests commented on the friendliness and joyful energy of the bartenders. Makayla worked tirelessly to ensure everything was perfect. She is experienced and knowledgeable and completely capable of making all the appropriate decisions, however she is extremely considerate of what the clients are looking for when making decisions. She helped keep us on task in the time leading up to the wedding and she handled literally everything on the wedding day. She is professional and dependable, but also fun to work with. I really cannot say enough positive things about this entire experience! We are truly grateful to this team.

Allison and her team were very responsive and worked closely with my husband and I to curate a menu that was nothing short of amazing. We recently had The Catering Outfit cater our daughters wedding and it was a fantastic experience. Courtney Hildebrand had to be the most organized, efficient and thoughtful planner/caterer we have ever worked with. She and her staff (Honorable mention to Star, the bar captain) attended to every detail and then some. Absolutely everything was done according to plan. The set up was fantastic, the food plentiful and delicious, and the organization perfect. We didn't need to worry about any detail because Courtney and her staff took care of everything. The day was flawless. 5 stars are not enough!

Okay, I have been waiting to write this review in hopes that I can capture everything that I want to say about TCO. Our experience with them was top knotch. They are and were worth every single penny and then some more. From the efficiency, responsibility, timeliness, effort, energy, support, knowledge, kindness, execution and more, TCO and especially Courtney and Makayla, made our experience in planning and throwing a wedding amazing, seamless, memorable, successful, and TASTY! All of our guests regarded our food. Most saying the best food they have had at a wedding, while others were busy clearing out the lamb meatballs and Mexican street corn, and everyone overall just feeling so full and happy from all of the good fun and amazing cocktails! We are endlessly thankful for the care, planning, and execution of our day. Everything looked perfect, tasted perfect and went without issue at all. Not only that, but I felt specifically so taken care of as the bride, always being brought a taste of something to eat in between photos, a sip of a cocktail whenever I needed, and a full plate of food waiting. I felt like the star of the show thanks to TCO. They also packaged up ALL of our food after the event in nice amazing to go boxes and placed in our vehicle, as well as our cake too. It was all so thoughtful and well done. If I could hire or recommend TCO, I would again and again and AGAIN! Thank you so much to the whole team. We loved working with you every single step of the way, and that means something especially when planning a wedding across the country too!

Cannot recommend TCO enough! We got married in May, and the whole process with TCO was great start to finish! My husband and I both have dietary restrictions, and they were incredibly accommodating, and had so many delicious options. We ended up going with a plated dinner, and had so many people tell us that the food was amazing after the wedding. The service was also incredible, from the passing of drinks and apps during cocktail hour, to the final late night snacks, everything ran smoothly. We also had our day/month-of coordinator through TCO and could not recommend Courtney more, she truly made our day run seamlessly. We would choose TCO in a heartbeat if we were to do it all over again!

We recently worked with TCO as the caterer for a family wedding reception held at home. They were wonderful! If we were to do it all over again, we would use the exact same team. Telia and Courtney assisted us with the planning of the reception (where TCO provided the food) and with rentals for two additional events held that weekend. First, we were delighted with the amazing food (which is what got them the job at the initial wedding tasting meeting), but in the end, we were equally impressed with their careful attention to every detail. When an event is held at home, there is no infrastructure on which to rely. Everything must be arranged from tents to bathrooms, from kitchen equipment to table settings, from lighting to sound to flowers - it is a big undertaking! Thanks to the pros at TCO, everything that went on under the tent was perfect - which allowed our wedding coordinator (who was also superb!) to focus on another miriad of details. Everyone did their jobs so very well - it is phenomenal what TCO and our other vendors were able to do with what was essentially a big field. As mentioned, TCO handled the specifics of our rentals for all three events, a rehearsal dinner, the reception and a brunch - with zero mistakes - everything we needed and nothing we did not. We absolutely needed their guidance in making sensible choices, and they had the experience we were looking for. The logistics were intense, and we had no worries as far as TCO was concerned. TCO was the core of our team, along with our wedding coordinator, and they were all invaluable in the planning process. Then when it came time to show up and make it happen, everything they touched happend as planned. Absolutley delicious food, fantastic service and friendly people - when you are surrounded by such deep experience and competence it is a wonderful feeling - it gave us comfort and confidence. I am so impressed with their focus on our plan, and the care taken at our property. The little things can become the big things at an event such as ours - and we have nothing but praise for the way TCO handled the event and worked with all the other folks involved - from bartenders to cake and pie bakers and a food truck providing late night snack, to florists, to the tent and lighting folks - they do this all the time and it shows. I hope this review coveys our deepest thanks to a wonderful, expert team who delivered everything they promised at every juncture. Almost makes me want to have another party .. :-) You can really trust these folks with yours!

We knew the food would be great because we'd had the tasting but did not expect the level of service and personalization on all counts. Our guests who had kids were so thrilled that their meals came out early and we were pleasantly surprised and thankful to have our own tray of appetizers and our own dinner brought to us ( we did a buffet style meal). Also, anyone with dietary restrictions had their own plate brought to them. Oh, and to have wine given out to us and our wedding party after the ceremony was so lovely! Book them — you won’t regret it!!

We are so glad we went with the Catering Outfit for our wedding reception. From the first tasting to the final breakdown after our wedding, Telia and team were absolute professionals and SO helpful and attentive. They were a huge part of our entire wedding planning process and we couldn't have done it without them. Not to mention the food was incredible. All of our guests were raving about it. The bar service was amazing as well, and they helped us immensely with quantities (we provided our own alcohol) and developing our signature cocktail. We had passed apps for our cocktail hour - coconut shrimp, chicken taquitos, and southern fried tomatoes. (This was the hardest part to pick because we liked everything we tasted, we just went with what we thought would be the biggest crowd pleasers.) Our wedding menu consisted of steak and chicken grilled on site on a wood-fired grill, both served with a variety of sauces. The meat was cooked perfectly and the sauces elevated everything. We also had the roasted potatoes, a seasonal salad, and a medley of roasted root vegetables. We did a trio of bite-sized desserts in lieu of a cake - mini fruit tarts, cheesecakes, and pot de creme. The stations were set up beautiful - very stylish with lovely printed menus. We added on the late-night snacks option (udon noodles in takeout containers with chopsticks). All of it was a huge hit, and as most brides say, I just wish I ate more of it! They did not come cheap, but our price also included an extensive amount of rentals (our venue did not have a kitchen), as well as the full beverage package and late night snacks. But it was worth every penny to us to work with The Catering Outfit, I can't recommend them enough.

We hired TCO for our wedding in Crozet, Va in Oct 2022. We did a non-traditional cocktail-style reception with a stationed dinner. We were so impressed with the setup and food on the day of and received so many compliments from our guests that it was the best wedding food they've ever had! While we're so grateful that the food was delicious and our guests were pleased, we've decided to give only four stars, because we had some challenges working with TCO during the wedding planning process. They were great to work with whenever we were able to get in touch with them! But when we would reach out to them through their communication platform (which was frustrating to use) we would go weeks or sometimes months without hearing from them. Even our wedding planner had difficulty getting a hold of them, and this became one of the most stressful parts of our wedding planning experience as we approached the final months before the big day. Their lack of communication left us feeling like we weren't very important compared to their higher paying clients. It was particularly frustrating because we had reworked our budget to be able to hire them and it was a huge expense for us. Looking back, we would choose TCO again, but wish they would improve their communications for clients at all levels.

If you need a catering company for your wedding (or any event really) The Catering Outfit is the way to go! My husband and I were worried that we would have trouble finding vendors we liked since we were planning our Virginia wedding from Hawaii, but we were lucky to find The Catering Outfit. They hopped on several virtual calls with us; allowed our family to go to a tasting to help us pick out the perfect menu, snacks, and drinks; and met with us when we got back to Virginia to work through all the final details. Our lead was Allison and she was an absolute star. She made sure the whole team worked together well and was always by our side to offer us a drink or a snack during the wedding. She was a wonderful destressing presence and we could not have asked for a better go-to. All of our guests raved about the food - not just the taste but also the presentation - and how accommodating and delightful the staff was. It felt great to be surrounded by people who were invested in giving us the best day possible.

All of the wonderful things we could say about TCO! Deciding to work with them for our wedding day this June was easy because they’ve catered other events that we’ve been to in the past. They did not disappoint and instead exceeded all of our expectations! They first curated an exceptional, personalized menu that our guests are still raving about. I still don’t ever think I will ever eat better food at a wedding! Frank and his team were amazing to work with during the planning process and day of, and made the entire wedding day feel like a breeze. Upon exiting the ceremony, we were immediately greeted by our signature cocktails and a platter of appetizers, and it might still be one of our favorite memories from that day. Finally, the tasting experience prior to the wedding is still one that both sets of parents still talk about; it was such a special experience where we were able to try so much delicious food in a welcoming environment, and we’ll cherish that memory forever. Thank you so much again Frank and TCO for making our wedding day run so flawlessly and for serving our guests such a remarkable wedding meal.

The Catering Outfit came highly recommended by our wedding venue, and they 100% lived up to the hype. Discussions over food and beverage packages were very easy and they were quick to update proposals when my husband and I wanted to make changes. If there were any special requests that we had for our wedding, the Catering Outfit worked as hard as they could to make those desires a reality. We got to select from a long list of potential food options, and then we had our food tasting. The tasting was an awesome experience, and the food tasted the exact same on the night of our wedding. There was a very similar process with picking out wedding decorations, linen, and silverware. The service on the day of the wedding was world-class. We had countless compliments from guests expressing that there were no lines at the bar, the food was hot and fantastic, and the servers were extremely kind and caring. My husband and I can only agree more with all of the comments our guests said. My husband and I could not recommend Catering Outfit enough. From start to finish, they exceeded expectations! Lastly, my husband and I's day of wedding coordinator was Courtney with Catering Outfit. Courtney is one of the major reasons our wedding went exactly how we imagined. She did everything in her power to ensure our special needs and requests were met. She had timely responses to our questions and worked tirelessly from start to finish. Courtney made sure that Catering Outfit and other vendors worked like a well-oiled machine. There is so much that we saw Courtney do, and there is so much that we didn't see that we know Courtney was doing behind the scenes to make our day so special. If you are looking for someone to make sure that the logistics and execution of your day is done the way you dreamed of, then look no further than Courtney.

An amazing experience with delicious food and professional service. If you are looking for an absolute "wow" for your wedding day, you should contact The Catering Outfit! We hired them for our daughter's wedding and we wanted her to have a dream of a wedding and our guests to have an experience they would not forget. The food and service we received from TCO exceeded all of our expectations and our guests are STILL talking about it! The planning process was easy, the staff always willing to make a change or suggestion when needed. The wedding was stress free on our end and we chalk this up to our vendor selection, and TCO was a huge part of that. We were so impressed we have booked them for our other daughter's wedding next year!

One of our regrets was NOT booking Courtney and The Catering Outfit as our wedding planner, in addition to our caterer. Courtney went above and beyond, bustling my dress, adding a pasta layer to a vegetarian dish, and looking out for the Bride and Groom as #1 from the beginning. They have the knowledge and expertise to execute everything. Food was phenomenal at our tasting, wedding, and take-home. BOOK THEM!! You won't regret it.

We used the catering outfit for our June wedding at King Family and they were nothing short of fantastic! They were extremely patient with me, my family, and my attorney-fiancé throughout the process as we navigated getting the contract signed. The support and attention to detail the entire team gave to the event, especially Courtney, made us feel confident that our reception was in good hands. In addition, they were wonderful at accommodating special little touches we wanted included like at the raw bar and signature cocktail tweaks. The wait staff made sure I always had a drink and snack in my hand -- and last but not least, the food was phenomenal! All in all, I would absolutely recommend The Catering Outfit as the best caterer in the area and I am so grateful that we worked with them last month.

Courtney and the team at TCO were incredible! We arrived at our wedding reception to find our decor dreams come true! The table settings were just as we envisioned, the service was great, and the food delicious (our guests can’t stop talking about it)! Courtney was also our day of coordinator and we couldn’t recommend her more in this role for anyone getting married! She just has an eye for things and from the beginning we were in good hands. We hired TCO as our caterer for our wedding. The food the day of was spectacular and the servers were phenomenal, everyone raved about how good our food was. I’m giving this a 3 star review however because the communication between Courtney and myself leading up to the wedding was honestly horrible. Even my wedding planner had a hard time getting ahold of this company at times. The discussion board we chat through is difficult to use and there were times where I wouldn’t get a response back for a WEEKS. I get that catering is busy but a week and sometimes even more to respond to an email is absolutely unacceptable for any business especially when it’s clients are paying around $20,000 for its service. During the times we meat in person they were nice, no one was ever rude but at times it did feel dismissive. For instance with TCO it felt like they were just trying to make every wedding similar. Courtney kept saying “oh well with the other weddings we’ve done it’s gone like this…” which is great to make their job easier but it didn’t feel like we were anything special. Luckily I had an amazing wedding planner and photographer that they both spoke up and were like “actually it’ll look better this way”. All in all, food was great but not sure if I would want to go through with booking them again if I needed another caterer.

There aren't enough words to describe what a wonderful job Catering Outfit did for our wedding. The went through so many tweaks and changes through the Covid rescheduling process, and were so flexible and awesome throughout the entire process. From the custom menu, to handling the rentals seamlessly, from their professionalism to the incredible presentation, we are 150% happy we went with the Catering Outfit for our wedding day! We received so many compliments from all of our guests. Thank you so much for being our caterer!

As a couple who wanted food to be the centerpiece of our rehearsal dinner and wedding reception, we could not have asked for a better partner than TCO. Courtney, Allison and their team were absolute rock stars to work with from start to finish. Not only did they customize the menu to our unique specifications, they took our whacky ideas and ran with them from start to finish. Every tiny detail was incredibly well thought out, and the staff on-site for tastings and day-of events was thoroughly professional, while still having fun with our guests. The quality of TCO's work leaves me certain that there is no one better for catering in the Charlottesville region. We would hire them again in a heartbeat.

I don’t even know where to start with the praise The Catering Outfit (TCO) deserves! They were extremely responsive and communicative throughout the entire process planning our wedding. We worked with Courtney Hildebrand, and hired her as our month-of coordinator. She saved the day when our transportation cancelled last minute at midnight the night before the wedding. Okay now back to the food - the tasting experience was truly amazing and Courtney worked with our budget and requests to create a flawless, delicious menu. From the cocktail hour to dinner to late night food, everything was spectacular with an immaculate presentation. Our guests are continuing to talk about how amazing the food and cocktails were, even weeks later! If you want a truly memorable catering experience for your wedding, then you have to hire TCO. People say guests don’t remember the food at your wedding, but with TCO they certainly will! Also we cannot thank Courtney enough for all her help with the last minute craziness and speed bumps. She is so amazing and well connected in the Charlottesville wedding industry!

Look no further than TCO for your catering needs. They came recommended to us by our venue, and we are so so glad we chose them. Our parents got together with us for our tasting and we were blown away at the intricacy, attention to detail, and well executed menu they had made specifically for us and our tastes. It was so hard to narrow down our menu because everything was SO. GOOD. We were one of the many unfortunate couples who had to postpone our wedding due to COVID, but every time we talked about our wedding or our families got together, we'd always find ourselves saying "pull up the menu and lets read over how good it sounds again". Our guests raved about the food for weeks after our wedding (and still are) and we thoroughly enjoyed the to-go boxes for us to enjoy before we left for our honeymoon. They were a pleasure to work with and we would HIGHLY recommend them to all of our friends and family. You won't regret it!!

The Catering Outfit did a fabulous job for our daughter’s 200 guest wedding at Guildford Farm. Our initial meeting was with Frank who led us through a wonderful tasting session and helped us come up with a wonderful menu. The food for the reception was delicious (we got many compliments from our guests) and the service was great. We had passed appetizers (crab hush puppies, duck tacos, chicken biscuits) and a grazing table for the cocktail hour and a family style dinner with entrees of pork tenderloin with apples and candied jalapeños and figgy chicken. Our event manager, Logan, was so helpful and responsive throughout the planning and the event, especially with our seating and table choices and configurations, and linens, dish/glassware/cutlery selections. She did a wonderful job implementing our daughter’s vision for her reception decor. Logan also took care of many last minute issues that came up with the rental and tent companies, making extra trips to the venue ahead of time to make sure everything was right. Some of these things were not even her responsibility, so we really appreciated her extra efforts. We highly recommend TCO for its wonderful food and people.

We cannot express how amazing working with Courtney and the team at The Catering Outfit was. From the initial emails and planning through Covid, to our amazing tasting, and the day of our wedding Courtney and her team were easy to work with, answered all of my questions, were extremely flexible and provided an incredible dining experience for our wedding. WOW! The Catering Outfit was so amazing. We had to re-schedule our wedding (twice!) due to COVID and the team was so easy to work with and flexible during such an uncertain time. Courtney was so great to work with, not only helping us with food and drink selections, but also facilitating rentals. She was so knowledgeable and made me feel at ease because of her expertise. We finally got married on 6/26/21 and it was such a dream come true. The food was exceptional and all our guests were raving all night about the delicious BBQ, apps and drinks. The whole team looked sharp in their matching outfits and were so hospitable towards our guests. The best part were the leftovers! They packed up all our stuff and we were able to enjoy the leftovers and late night tacos the morning after. I would highly recommend the Catering Outfit!

We hired TCO for our wedding. Although we did have a bit of a rocky start, as we experienced some difficulty communicating with them and they missed our walkthrough, everything that they did on the actual day of our wedding working out wonderfully. Our guests were very pleased with their meals, and the service throughout the day was great.

Courtney and The Catering Outfit team were exceptional! All of our guests, even the picky ones, loved our food. Not only was Courtney helpful, but she also made the entire process easy and made sure everything was perfect. From our first tasting to the day of the wedding, she made me feel like I had nothing to worry about and that it would all work out, and not only did it work out, it was absolute perfection. There is no doubt in my mind that we will work with TCO again. The food and service were excellent and our guests raved about several of the bartenders! TCO was able to accommodate multiple events for us, including serving delicious Indian food, with nearly 300 guests. Would highly recommend TCO for weddings!

We just used The Catering Outfit for our wedding in June. The food was FANTASTIC! We completed tastings at 2 other places, and TCO was definitely superior. The company was wonderful to work with, they even arranged a second tasting, so that my out of state parents could try as well. Only minor issue was that bartenders were supposed to be told not to open any boxes of alcohol that didn't need to be used, so that we could return. Almost all of our beer was opened, with most boxes not having any beer taken out. However, overall our experience was wonderful, wish I could eat their food every day.

How do you explain perfection? We had many vendors to choose from but picking Courtney and her team from The Catering Outfit was our best decision. Their professionalism was over the top and their meal options were never ending. We picked Family Style so that anyone could eat as much of any item that they wanted to. Can you imagine sitting down at a wedding reception and finding out that one of your choices was braised short ribs that were thick and amazing. And then the options continued on. The Catering Outfit made our wedding food dreams a reality! Courtney was incredibly flexible with our options as well as truly listening to us about what we wanted. She put such a great spin on some of our favorite foods that elevated those dishes to become proper dishes for our guests. The entire process was very exciting for my fiance and I - we had a tasting at their beautiful studio in Charlottesville - everything was totally customized for our experience. This was one of the first big things we did for our wedding and we felt so special and excited afterwards. The tasting was DELICIOUS! So much so it was hard to narrow down our choices. One of my favorite things about Courtney's approach was that she presented ideas to us that suited us, but also ideas we'd never seen at other events or weddings before. Her creative approach really made us feel like we had no other choice but to go with the Catering Outfit. On the wedding day we heard constant praises about not only the cocktail hour food, reception food, but also how fun the hot toddy (November weddings call for some warm cocktails) passed drinks were as well as how crucial the outdoor bourbon and cigar bar was. Because our wedding was in the middle of a pandemic we had to make sure proper COVID-19 precautions were taken - The Catering Outfit complied with every precaution as well as added even more to make sure we were at ease as well as our guests. They were also very flexible with final headcount and other restrictions we had to put in place because of COVID-19 - it was all a breeze without any friction. Bottom line: The Catering Outfit provides DELICIOUS food, impeccable service, and creativity that will leave your guests in awe.

Courtney crushed it for our wedding!! We hired TCO over a year before our wedding just based on the gorgeous pics on the website and it was the best decision. Courtney was incredibly accommodating and flexible with all the changes that a pandemic wedding brings and went above and beyond with not only coordinating the food, but working with all the other vendors and helping out with decor for the reception. My husband and I never had to wait in line at the bar, a drink was always handed to us before our glasses were empty. The bartenders and servers were so kind AND THE FOOD! So good. AND THE DRINKS! everyone kept saying how good the food and drinks were and that was one of the top priorities for our wedding. I wish I lived in Charlottesville so I could go to the TCO on the reg for their mac and cheese and everything else. Weddings are stressful and then planning and executing a wedding in the middle of a pandemic is even more stressful, but Courtney was so on top of it and our day could not have gone any better even with if COVID wasn't a thing.

There are not enough words to express how amazing it was to work with Courtney and the entire TCO team. TCO guided us to create an amazing menu, TWICE. Our original wedding was in June so we had created a beautiful Summer spread, and our rescheduled date was October, 25th. They set up and new menu and tasting to create an amazing (COVID safe) Fall inspired menu. We have heard from so many guests that it was the best food they have experienced at an event. And the cocktails, were SO good. I truly cannot express enough how amazing TCO was to work with before, during and after the event.

So, I cannot write a review for The Catering Outfit for my wedding day without including the entire story that led to them. Full disclosure, I also run a wedding venue in Virginia and have worked with many different caterers over the years, including Courtney and TCO. In 2018, when the time came to plan my own wedding, the choice was difficult, but we decided to go with a different caterer. Fast forward a year and half of wedding planning as we designed and sorted out all the details for the big day. We are not a month away from the wedding date and everything is falling into place. There was just one little hiccup- we still had not sorted out ANY details with our current caterer. I'll save you all the headaches by not describing how everything went and all the missed meetings we had, suffice it to say... all of sudden.. a month out from the wedding, we found ourselves with NO caterer! Word of this got around the wedding community and Courtney reached out to me personally. She said, just come by TCO, let me do a tasting for you and we can figure things out. From the moment we stepped into their storefront we were blown away. The service, the presentation, the communication, the quality of the food, the personality, EVERYTHING, was so far beyond our expectations given what we had been working with for the past almost two years. My fiance and I found ourselves excited by the food and the menu for the wedding, which was something we could not say before, so much so where we wanted to make sure we were part of cocktail hour because the appetizers were to die for. When wedding day came around, of course the food was outstanding. Guests were raving about the squash salmon dish, the beet appetizers, the shrimp, the risotto, everything. But it didn't stop there... what really blew me away was the service that Courtney provided. If you are working with TCO, please consider Courtney as your event planner as well. My wedding would not have been the same without her there to make sure every little detail was taken care of (and I forgot a lot of details!) she saved the day on multiple occasions. Our day was absolutely perfect and Courtney and her catering team at The Catering Outfit were a large part of that. I am SO glad that we went through the headache we did with the previous caterer, because it eventually led to us landing on one of the best catering teams in Charlottesville.

We hired both TCO for catering and Courtney Hildebrand for her month of coordination services. We booked TCO almost a year and a half before our wedding-- that's how sure we were!! The tasting was one of the most gorgeous, well-plated and extremely delicious meals our families had ever tasted. We are a big foodie family so naturally we added extra apps and even late night snacks that our guests raved about. My grandfather doesn't have much of an appetite these days, but he ate seconds of everything, so you know it was outstanding. The food was extremely well prepared and the service was undeniably the best we could have asked for. They have their safety precautions down to an art and every member of the catering staff took masking and gloving very seriously. They even had the most gorgeous plexiglass dividers for our buffet! As the bride, it was actually lifesaving that small plates of food just magically appeared into my hands throughout the evening. I can't say enough about how great they were-- they made our night amazing and I am so thankful that we hired them!

Picking The Catering Outfit as our wedding caterer was one of the best decisions we made throughout the entire process! Courtney and everyone else on the team were so helpful as we dealt with the coronavirus pandemic's impact on our wedding. Not only were they exceedingly flexible as our guest count changed on a daily basis, but they went above and beyond to ensure our reception was as safe as possible. Beyond that, the food was absolutely delicious!!! Even the simplest of sides, creamy southern succotash, was a crowd favorite and won over people who had never liked succotash before. We could not have been happier with TCO!

I could not have been any happier with the service from The Catering Outfit. Our original out of state wedding plans were affected by COVID-19 and we had decided to stay local to celebrate. I knew that The Catering Outfit was the way to go! Courtney Wilson Hildebrand was so responsive during my initial inquiry and asked all of the right questions to streamline the process. TCO's menu options are a FOODIE'S DREAM. Honestly the food was the highlight of the entire reception and all of our guests raved about it for long after the event. Not only was the food delicious but the way the buffet was set was gorgeous! Dishes were placed in cast iron ans giving the display a rustic look. The food is just the half of it. The SERVICE was incredible. Working with Courtney Wilson Hildebrand on the planning and logistics was such a breeze. She is a true pro. On-site we had the pleasure of working with Cameron and Gayle who ran the show flawlessly. Hospitality at it's finest! Also, did I mention that I am an event planner and work with numerous caterers and TCO is by far the BEST.

I really wanted to like this company. They were recommended by another vendor for my wedding this past weekend. When we went for a tasting it was a lovely experience. Delicious food, wonderful service. Truly, this is where the positive experience ends. The closer my wedding got, the less I heard from them. The employee who was our contact there quit halfway through working with them, but that’s no excuse for dropping the ball. They missed deadline after deadline with my rental company and hardly ever answered an email. I had to call and basically throw a fit to get anyone to work on my wedding. I thought, as long as the food is good, I’ll be happy. Well, it was mediocre. The pasta was watery, the green beans were under cooked. Everyone said the chicken was the star of the show...I’m a vegan. To top it all off, their staff misplaced my table numbers from a different vendor, and they hardly offered any help in tracking them down. So, now I’m having to pay for those myself. Overall, a huge disappointment.

The Catering Outfit was the perfect caterer for our wedding! From beginning to end they were a pleasure to work with and worked hard to ensure our day was amazing. Walter is an incredible chef and the food far exceeded expectations! Our guests could not stop raving about how good it was (and we have a tough foodie crowd)! Sarah was incredible to work with and went above and beyond - from working with us to stay in budget to making sure everything was executed perfectly the day of!

The food was fantastic. We chose to do stations, a Southern and an Italian, and people loved the options! We had no complaints only compliments. Also, if you need a wedding coordinator, Courtney Hilldabrand went above and beyond to meet my needs. I was very anxious even though I am very much Type A/planner type person, and she really made me feel comfortable that everything would get executed the way I wanted it. We actually ate all of our food and had our drinks at the wedding which sounds funny but if you talk to many couples, that becomes a problem at weddings that the bride and groom don't eat or drink with the craziness. I highly recommend the Catering Outfit and also Courtney.

The Catering Outfit catered our 70 guest wedding reception at the Old Met and they were fantastic! They work with all budgets and provide stellar service. They were extremely attentive from the beginning and really made us feel at ease during the planning process. We had our ceremony and reception at the Old Met and the crew did an amazing job flipping the room from ceremony to dinner reception. The food was delicious and the way that they displayed it in cast iron pans was perfect for the setting. We had a wonderful experience working with Walter, Holly, Elsa, and the entire crew at The Catering Outfit.

If you want an absolutely delicious meal for your wedding choose C&O Catering!! My husband and I were blown away during our tasting at how delicious the food was. At our wedding it was just as we remembered it and loved it even more. We chose to do a family style meal and there was so much food everyone was easily able to have multiple servings. They work with Festive Fare in Charlottesville that has a wide variety of rentals for your dinner. Their staff is professional and incredibly accommodating. They even packed a honeymoon meal that was so much food and perfect for the next night! Elsa, their Catering and Events manager, was so helpful and incredibly fun to work with as well!

Walter and the team at TCO are the absolute best. As self-proclaimed foodies, this was the most important decision of our wedding and we were absolutely blown away at the job that TCO did. it was absolutely perfect and they were truly amazing to work with. From our first lunch in their cozy space to our multiple menu planning sessions, our tasting to the real thing we were incredibly impressed. Walter took the time to sit with us on several occasions and design the exact menu we wanted. We went in with some pretty firm ideas of the food we wanted to serve and Walter and the team were amazing at working with us to get there and better yet, improve the menu. They made fantastic suggestions, and exceeded all our expectations and did it all with a warm smile and a lot of patience. Ryan and Arnaud are masterminds in the kitchen and every bite was delicious. The rest of the team was professional, and everything: the unique cocktail bar, the raw bar and wood fired grill, the duck confit gnocchi, the beef tenderloin, the wine, the cake and everything in between was perfect. I cannot recommend the Catering Outfit more highly. They are truly the best there is.

The Catering Outfit provided out-of-this world, delicious food, beautifully displayed, and flawlessly served. We had a cocktail hour and 3 course plated dinner (and some late night bites!) for our wedding and The Catering Outfit knocked it out of the park. Absolutely the most amazing wedding food we've ever had and our guests were so impressed and thrilled with the different hors d'oeuvres and courses. the sliders, fries, and hotdogs were a great touch after some dancing and drinks! Definitely recommend them to anyone in the Charlottesville area!

Our guests raved about the food! We got calls days later asking us who the catering was, that's how impressed everyone was. Kelsey was awesome about getting back to us in a timely manner, and did a few iterations of our menu with us to get it just right. I highly recommend TCO!

My fiance and I were guests at events this past weekend that The Catering Outfit planned & catered and we couldn't have been more impressed with the food, menu and service. Impeccable job and I wish we were getting married in Charlottesville to use them!

Poor customer service and attention to detail. I would not recommend working with them on this alone. Eventually I decided to forgo working with them as a result.
