We allow you to bring in your own items, vendors, food and beverages, including alcohol. With enough space for up to 150 people in the Timber Frame and 300 people in the Double Round, you can host an intimate or extravagant gathering, depending on your unique vision. Whole site rentals can accommodate more than 300 people. When touring our space we can further discuss how a whole site will work.
The Celebration Farm allows you to rent separate event areas or the entire venue depending on your needs and expected guest count. Moreover, your booking entitles you to various services and amenities for your upcoming function. Access to in-house tables and chairs, decor collections, and day-of setup and cleanup services, is available for the utmost convenience.

The celebration farm is such a beautiful venue! We really enjoyed the entire day and couldn’t have asked for a better place to just our wedding. Pam was so great and was so responsive in getting back to us in a timely manner! Most of the staff was also super nice and wanted our day to go smoothly.
We did have a small hiccup with the clean up crew, but I let Pam know right away the next day and she was so responsive in wanting to hear our concerns and make it right!

Choosing The Celebration Farm as our venue was the best decision we could have made. The venue is absolutely beautiful and our ceremony and reception turned out better than we ever imagined. The staff is also wonderful and great to work with, especially Pam. We worked with her throughout the entire process and she was always welcoming with questions/concerns. We are so glad we chose The Celebration Farm and highly recommend them!

The Celebration Farm was the PERFECT place for our wedding! We had our ceremony indoors in their big double round barn and the fireplace was the perfect backdrop for our ceremony. I loved how big and open the space was and all the natural light that came in.
From the first initial meeting to the planning meeting they were professional and helpful. 10/10 would recommend having your wedding here!

I want to give the celebration Farm a 5 star rating! Our wedding planning with Pam and the other staff at the farm were beyond professional, accommodating, and personable. From the beginning to end of my planning they helped make my dreams come true. The Celebration farm is unique in the fact that the let you plan your wedding your way and other venues were not allowing this to the full extent. I was able to put my personal touches on this event and it made our day! I’m very grateful and would recommend this venue to any potential couple. The appearance of how it was all done, looked like you were walking into a fairly land! The building structures are one of a kind and there is nothing else like this around! Our guests said it was one of the most beautiful venues they have ever been to!

We recently had both our ceremony & reception at the double round barn. Like many others, this was rescheduled from last year. I cannot say enough how kind, accommodating and helpful Pam & the staff were. During the rescheduling period, we were kept up to date on all dates available to move our wedding. Most importantly we did not pay a rescheduling fee! We had guest from all over the country and received so many compliments about how beautiful the venue was and what a perfect place to have a wedding! We could not be more pleased with the venue and the service we received! I highly recommend having your wedding here!!

I just recently held my ceremony and reception at the Celebration Farm. Our ceremony was at the outdoor arches, and the reception was in the double round barn. I wish I was able to post pictures on this review for you to see how beautiful it is! We received SO many compliments about how beautiful everything was. Pam was amazing and answered all of my millions of questions.

We had the pleasure of working with Pam both before and after the pandemic hit—we were initially scheduled for an April 2020 wedding but were forced to “cancel” for our guests as the number allowed was cut to 10. On April 25th 2020, we were still able to gather with 10 people total at the Celebration Farm (Pam personally staffed our small ceremony and helped with the sound) and we got married on the date we had intended. This was done at no additional cost to us (we had already paid the full rental fee for that day), and we were able to be rescheduled for August 1st 2020, with the rental fee “transferring.” So at this point, we were technically getting two dates for the price of one. The COVID numbers began to rise that summer and we did not feel comfortable gathering in large numbers without the availability of a vaccine, so we opted to change for a third date. We were not forced to postpone again but we willingly chose to out of a concern for the health of our loved ones. Upon the second rescheduling for a third date, we were charged half of a rental fee for the third date. While our wallets did not love it, we ultimately understood that we chose to move our wedding and wedding venues are businesses, and they were just trying to survive like every other business (especially businesses that require in-person gatherings). I cannot speak for other experiences but ours with Pam, the staff, and the Celebration Farm as a whole was a positive one and we will forever treasure BOTH of our special days!

We had our wedding booked for the Spring of 2020. When the pandemic hit, we were able to reschedule. However, when 2021 came about, vaccines were not widely available and were not looking like they would be available until June. I reached out to Pam to see what our options were or if we could reschedule slightly once more. She was very rude in response and added that they would charge us $2450 to change the date, in addition to the $4900 for the actual event date. We kept our date because we did not want to give this venue anymore money than we were already stuck with.
Come wedding day, the place looked as though they didn’t do any upkeep during the year long pandemic. The paint was chipping, the roof looked damaged, etc. The patio on our building had a thick layer of bird droppings, the one staff member they give us was very unhelpful, letting us know they would be in the office and to come get them if we need anything. They forgot champagne flutes for us. They inflated the price of all of the rental items, each table linen, each dish, etc. When we toured they showed us a freezer full of ice. When we got there the day of, there was only one bag and they said we would have to go get our own ice for the bar. The drink wash tubs had old water sitting in them. It was very unkempt.
Overall, this venue was not worth the money. If you are looking into this venue, I would like to stress that the price you pay is simply for the space. It is a beautiful space, but other venues will work harder for you and you will get more out of that experience. The Celebration Farm was not easy to work with and they made it very clear they are only after the dollar, they do not aim to please or help you have a dreamy day.

They stole $4,500 from us: We booked a date prior to the pandemic hitting. We had to reschedule a year out due to Iowa being shut down. They made us pay a fee to do so, which wasn’t a problem. 8 months before our 2nd date we can no longer have the big wedding we want and cannot use the venue. We realize there’s no refunds. 0%. Okay, that kind of sucks. I email Pam their event coordinator that we will no longer be needing it, she can consider us officially backed out. But that I was looking for another party to take our date. I wrote an extensive email explaining I was posting it on social media for sale and if they knew anyone who would like it I would sell it 50% off what we paid. When Pam responded to this email she simply said she accepted our cancellation. She did not say anything regarding it being non-transferable. So a few weeks went by and I email her again with a potential buyer and a handful of question. She was very rude telling me we canceled and that was that. That she “had told us” it was non-transferable (which she didn’t nor is it in the contract). I’m absolutely beside myself. We are still MONTHS out from the date. The fact that I want to give my contact to another party should not be of any concern to them since it’s been paid in full. This makes no sense to us. We are out $4,500 and Celebration Farm is refusing to work with us in the slightest, even within the means of the contract. So again, they stole $4,500.

We, as The Celebration Farm recognized the need in 2020 to help our guests navigate the COVID – 19 restrictions. During 2020, We rescheduled, with no cost to its guests, 85 events. The Ashley Peter wedding was originally scheduled for August 16...
, 2020. On July 8th, 2020 the wedding was rescheduled to August 15th, 2021 at no cost to Ms. Peter. The statement in Ms. Peter’s review (“they made us pay a fee to do so”) was not true. Ms. Peter confirmed the change to her event date in an email sent to the Celebration Farm on July 8th, 2020 in which she stated “It does not affect the rental fee”. Ms. Peter also chose to misstate the amount of her rental fee. The total rental fee for her event was $4,100.00.
From July 8th, 2020 to January 23, 2021, there was no communication between Ms. Peter, her groom, and The Celebration Farm. This quiet period, 7 months prior to the scheduled event is typical. On January 23rd, 2021 Ms. Peter and her intended groom contacted The Celebration Farm requesting a second rescheduling. Many potential guests do not think about the fact that when The Celebration Farm reschedules an event it is forgoing any rental fee for the new date. By rescheduling Ms. Peter’s event from August 16th, 2020 to August 15th, 2021 The Celebration Farm was receiving one fee for two dates. When guests request a second rescheduling (as Ms. Peter and her intended groom did on January 23rd, 2021) The Celebration Farm is being asked to forgo the rental fee for a third date. In lieu of this total loss of revenue for third date rescheduling’s, The Celebration Farm opted to help its guests who felt a need for a second rescheduling, by providing a discount for the third date. On January 23rd, 2021 Ms. Peter and her intended groom were apparently upset at the potential of paying a partial fee for a third date. Ms. Peter was also under the incorrect assumption that events in August 2021, would be limited to ten (10) persons. They were advised that the less restrictive Proclamation guidelines would allow the entirety of their guest list to be able to attend the event. Ms. Peter and her intended groom were upset and Ms. Peter said that she wanted her money back. The call ended with no action request.
Ms. Peter posted an ad on her Facebook account (which has since been deleted) in which she sought to sell the August 15th, 2021 date directly. The ad provided a description of The Celebration Farm venue. The ad contained misrepresentations as to the capacity and operation of the venue, including capacity, type of kitchen, existence of a “private suite”, décor, and the implication that The Celebration Farm would accept this contract in full with these inaccuracies. The ad was not discussed with The Celebration Farm. On April 4th, 2021 Ms. Peter sent an email requesting an exception to The Celebration Farm policy on refunds. The email contained the following: “Let us know if this email will suffice as official notice.” in connection with a cancellation of their event. The Celebration Farm requires a written notice of cancellation before a date is made available for sale to other potential guests. On April 20th, 2021 The Celebration Farm sent an email to Ms. Peter acknowledging her email as sufficient notice of cancelation and specifically acknowledging the cancelation. From April 20th, 2021 to June 9th, 2021 there was no contact made by Ms. Peter to The Celebration Farm. The lack of any contact is consistent with a cancelation.
On June 8th Ms. Peter posted another ad including the following “With the potential of being rescheduled.” This was posted without any authorization from or communication with The Celebration Farm.
On June 9th, 2021 Ms. Peter sent an email stating that she had been attempting to sell this date. In this email, she also asked whether a party purchasing a date from her would be able to reschedule an event to 2022. At no time prior to the April 10th ad or the June 8th ad did Ms. Peter, or her intended groom, discuss the ads with The Celebration Farm staff or request the permission of The Celebration Farm to sell the contract.
On June 10th, Ms. Peter was advised again that the contract had been canceled and any discussion of rescheduling would be moot. Ms. Peter’s reviews followed. The Celebration Farm has been and continues to be supportive of an initial rescheduling which may be necessary in any contract. The Celebration Farm, however, does not provide for resale of its contracts. Each contract The Celebration Farm creates is unique to the special needs and objectives of our guests.

This is an absolutely beautiful venue, however make sure to see through the beauty. The staff is rude, and they do not accommodate your needs, rather they make you feel as if your are an inconvenience. Acts of nature happen, but after losing power and 3 hours of time at the reception they owners avoided responding to our concerns. The staff is lazy and will not hook up the sound system for your rehearsal, which leads to problems on your special day. Many small issues took place, all valid, and the response that we got was ..we will use this as a "learning experience" for the future. I'm glad your poor service on our special day could provide you with a learning opportunity for your staff but this does not help solve the loss we experienced. A gift card was offered to us to eat out for our trouble...obvious sign that they knew they were in the wrong. Unfortunately, a gift card doesn't mean much when you pay thousands of dollars and are provided with terrible service and money hungry owners! My advice would be to save yourself the headaches of this venue and look elsewhere as there are many beautiful places to have a wedding where you are treated like a person rather than some quick money!

s supposed to end. This affected more than 750 other customers so it was not unique to just our facility.
We understand that it was completely out of anyone's control, and we wished to accommodate for that 1 hour of lost time, by providing you with a gift card to take your family out for a nice dinner, on us.
The outside sound system is set up uniquely for each event. To make it the best experience for your event, we let whoever is handling the music work with staff to set up the sound system, and then ultimately it is their responsibility to play whatever music or instruments they want through the system. And of course it can't be set up during inclement weather.
Our team works very hard to keep our venue in the best condition, and our intentions are always to make our guests' day special.
It’s unfortunate your day was cut short due to very unexpected circumstances that were beyond anyone's control.

We had a great experience with the Celebration Farms back in January. We had a beautiful winter wedding and rented out both of the buildings. The staff was so wonderful with letting us get in to set-up, having the sidewalks shoveled for our guests, clearing be tables after dinner (we used their plates and silverware), and even helped us out with centerpieces when the company we hired to do tables didn’t bring enough. Our wedding was everything we could have wanted and more! Pam was so helpful in the planning process and everything ran smoothly. Your wedding is one of the most important days of your life & I’d definitely recommend them to other brides & grooms-to-be.

Don’t get me wrong, this venue is gorgeous, the staff on the other hand no so great. When we originally booked our event we were given a price sheet for want any extras for rent through them, however they failed to mention that these prices would go up since we booked so far in advance (which you have to do in the wedding industry), they aren’t cheap and are still out to make a buck on you any chance they can. Then, staff members night of the event were incredibly rude to both my mother and myself. One of the guys sat in the back room on his phone the entire time (when there were things he needed to be getting out for us), then the girl for the evening while very productive was super rude to me when I asked that the air be turned down ( they could not keep the building cool, and literally every one of my guests were sweating the entire evening). Just not sure I could recommend them to my future Iowa City friends

Pam (director) was awesome to work with and so helpful with every detail and question about the wedding. The actual venue was so beautiful and really didn't need very much extra decor at all as the natural wood is stunning. It was near 100 degrees the day of our wedding yet the barn was super cool. Everything about it was perfect!

We got married in the amphitheater and had our reception in the Double Round Barn. They were both unbelievably beautiful and everything I wanted. The whole team at Celebration Farms was very easy to work with and let us put our own spin on things. We were able to visit the barn many times before the wedding, which was very helpful for planning what we needed to fill the space. The final planning meeting was a month out from the wedding, which reduced a lot of stress in the month leading up to the wedding, so we knew where everything would be and how we wanted it set up. They provided and set up all the tables and chairs for the big day which saved us a lot of work! I love that we bring in all our own vendors so we could make our wedding unique to us as a couple! It was the perfect venue for the most perfect day! I am so glad we decided to get married at the Celebration Farm and would recommend it to anyone!

We got married on 12/3/16 and the venue turned out beautiful! I couldn't recommend it enough if you're looking to get married in the Iowa City area. It may seem overwhelming that you have to bring in all your own vendors, but it actually works out nicely as your can choose what fits your tastes and style.

When we first started looking at wedding venues, I was convinced that Celebration Farm was out of our budget. However, after shopping around and comparing what other venues charged for fees and catering, we quickly realized that we were going to spend a comparable amount elsewhere and end up not getting what we wanted. I cannot even explain how glad I am we made this decision-- We had nothing but terrific success with everyone we worked with. Every single person we spoke to, interacted with, or met with was truly exceptional-- the staff was kind, considerate, efficient and SO helpful. We were able to meet several times with Matt (the Director of Operations) who walked us through the facility on several occasions (so both sets of parents could view). Matt also led our operations meeting, which ensured that the day of things flowed so smoothly. We didn't take advantage of too many of the "extras" that you can opt in to-- but being able to rent linens and extras was a huge bonus. Since there is a "host" on site with you all day, you have a person who can immediately answer questions, concerns and deal with any issues that pop up throughout your day (shout out to Pam and Holly, who were absolutely fantastic!). We got SO many compliments on our decor and such, but 90% of that came from the ambiance of the barn/venue itself. We are so incredibly happy with our decision, and would definitely recommend Celebration Farm to anyone!

When you tell people you're having your wedding at the Celebration Farm, the response from every person is some form of "what a gorgeous venue" "Every wedding I've been to at the Celebration Farm is amazing" "The most beautiful venue in the area", and the best part? It's all true.
The Celebration Farm is definitely an investment, but it was so worth it. The location, the vibe, all of it. It's so beautiful and ornate that you can decorate as much or as little as you want, and the staff is AMAZING. Elizabeth was wonderful to work with. She was quick to respond by email or by phone, she was incredibly helpful answering questions and helping me out with any requests I had. I also could tell that she genuinely cared about how I was feeling, how the planning was going, and if there was anything they could do to help me out, they were willing to do it. Liz, you're the best! Also Matt was wonderful helping us with the day of coordinating. I started to really stress about 60 days before the wedding, but once I sat down and talked through the day with Matt, it was the first time that I felt like I was really ready to get married. He brought up things that I hadn't thought of and had recommendations when I asked for them. It was very, very helpful.
I could go on and on about how wonderful they were. If you're looking for a venue that is unique and over the top beautiful, a venue where you can bring in your own vendors, and a venue with top of the line staff, Celebration Farm is the way to go.

The Celebration Farm is worth every penny. The space is FANTASTIC. We got married in the Timber Frame and used the amphitheater for our ceremony. Your photos will all have beautiful backgrounds. Also, the staff is incredibly warm and professional. We were remembered by name from the get-go, and they were always very prompt about answering our questions.

We really wanted something unique and different for our wedding and this was the perfect place! It was so beautiful and had wonderful charm and character, which was exactly what we were looking for. Our wedding theme was a bit rustic but this venue truly can fit any theme you are going for! You can go all out and decorate or you can leave it just as it is and it is still beautiful. We got so many great comments about how awesome the venue was and they were great to work with! I would recommend this venue to anyone wanting something a little different than the traditional ball room feel.

This is by far the most beautiful wedding location. My fiancé and I wanted something unique and special. He booked the double round barn before we were even engaged since it fills up so quickly. We loved working with the folks at celebration farm. They helped us get in touch with bartenders for the event who did a fantastic job. Our barn host was so accommodating and helpful throughout the evening. I will say this venue requires you to be an extremely organized bride especially if you don't have a wedding planner but it is all worth it in the end. So many of our guests commented on how beautiful and unique the venue was. I would highly highly recommend the celebration farm to all brides in the Iowa city area.

The Celebration Farm is an amazing location for a rustic or country wedding. Both barns are absolutely beautiful with their own unique charm. I loved that we could bring in our own vendors and weren't restricted like other venues we looked at. We were able to have our ceremony in their beautiful outdoor amphitheater. The staff is wonderful and extremely helpful. They helped set up and clean up and were always avaliable to answer questions. The only real complaint we had was that they didn't provide a lot of rental stuff in the cost. You got tables and chairs but everything else you had rorent separate. We felt that if you are paying a few thousand dollars for a place you shouldn't have to rent linens and glasses.

The Farm is unique and visually stunning. You really can do very little, or go crazy on decorations and it's still beautiful. Because there are so many details to keep track of (you bring in your own alcohol, food, and decorations) I recommend a wedding planner or at the very minimum- a day of coordinator. I have a background in the wedding industry and have coordinated other weddings at the Farm, and it's a lot to have to remember and worry about. Let someone else do it!

We were not interested in having out wedding anywhere associated with a hotel ballroom - when I saw the Celebration Farm website for the first time I was hooked. They book almost a year out for Fri, Sat & Sun so you have to be flexible with your date & did I mention the barns are absolutely gorgeous!?
One thing I wish I would have realized ahead of time is that you have to purchase/rent EVERYTHING here. We're talking dinnerware, silverware, glassware for table settings and cocktail hour, napkins, linens and many other things I don't care to think about again...which alone added more than $1,800. So realizing this and figuring out what will work best for you early on is advised!
Also, you have access to the barns from approx. 7am to 12:30 pm – so all wedding setup & tear down needs to be done on that day. Initially this overwhelmed us a bit, so we looked into hiring a full blown wedding coordinator (*side note: big mistake, she WAY oversold herself to justify her drastic overpricing and then didn't deliver on half of the things we asked her to do, always claiming to be very busy so half way through we cut our losses) and ended up using a *day of coordinator*. Doing this was amazing – it allowed us to not worry about anything other than our special day because we just left notes on what to setup & where and times to start taking things down.
The staff was a mix of very helpful but not very timely. But shout out to Liz & Chase who were amazing and will work with you to answer questions and get things done for you.
It was a lot of work...coordination, some DIY and a lot of simple but elegant decorations made a huge difference (otherwise the Double Round is so large and grand that things can look underwhelming)…but I would definitely recommend this venue!!

the location is great and so are the people I have worked with! the only thing I didn't like was after a certain time, two boys that were to help clean up and they did but in the process they kept taking cookies and drinks from our dessert table and drink bar... other than that great they new what they were doing!

We had our wedding at The Celebration Farm this past July (2013). After analyzing different locations and prices, we found that we could have more choice by having our wedding here and nearly the same prices as other nearby locations. The staff was so helpful throughout the whole process and we couldn't have had a better experience. They answered all of our questions and were very eager to help in any way that they could. We had rented the whole facility (both barns and the amphitheater). We used the amphitheater for our ceremony and the double round for our guests, which we had set for 380 people. It was a tight fit, but it worked and we had no complaints. We are still hearing people ooh and ahh over our location and complimenting how perfect everything was. A perk too is that the barn is SO naturally gorgeous, you truly don't have to "dress it up" much with decorations. It's gorgeous as-is!

I had a great experience working with The Celebration Farm. I used the amphitheater and the smaller, Timber Frame Barn. It was perfect for my small wedding. They book quickly so my advice would be to plan ahead if possible.

I really loved the Celebration Farm. It is a new facility with modern conveniences, such as indoor bathrooms and electricity, but looks very rustic. It did not require a lot of decorations because of all of the natural wood on the walls and the wood beams. The staff provided the day of the wedding were very helpful and we were willing to do whatever we needed them to do. So glad I had my wedding at the Celebration Farm! :)

The barn was so beautiful, but it was very expensive. Nothing was included in the rental price. You had to rent everything individually from water glasses to the unity candle table.
