staff was professional, responsive, and genuinely cared about making our day perfect. The space itself is beautiful. It is spacious, clean, and elegant without feeling over the top. It was the perfect setting for our fall wedding celebration, and everything from the lighting to the layout helped create such a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Our guests raved about how smoothly the evening went, how comfortable the space was, and beautiful it all was. We loved that we could make the space our own while still having the support of such an organized and accommodating team. If you’re looking for a venue that combines great service, a beautiful setting, and amazing value, The Chartiers Room is truly a hidden gem. Our reception was everything we hoped it would be and more. We can’t recommend it highly enough!

Overall, the Chartiers Room is an amazing venue whose staff go out of their way to make sure your reception is everything you wished it to be!

They offer linen rentals and when we showed up to decorate (there is a 4-hour window for decorating included in the venue rental fee!) all the tables and chairs were ready to go which made setting up an absolute breeze! The Chartiers Room is *beyond* reasonably priced and includes additional things (i.e. soft drink package, colored lights, cups) that are oftentimes not a part of the venue rental fee at other places. They also allow you to find your own caterer and provide your own alcohol, which is such a wonderful, cost-efficient option for couples who are doing more of a budget wedding like we did! We truly cannot say enough good things about the venue or the people who run it. The Chartiers Room was the perfect space and offered us everything we wanted for our wedding reception. If you use their servers, be prepared to treat be treated with kindness and your guests talking about how polite they were. The bartenders were not only loved by guests, but I appreciate it how as The Bride they learned what I was drinking. When we were setting up, Ray and his wife Dawn jumped right into help. That is something that I have never seen and just proves how above and beyond they go. The day of the wedding, Ray and Dawn continued to make sure everything went smoothly. Our cake decorator even complimented how helpful everyone was. In all, you cannot go with a better venue. The inside is newly renovated and gorgeous. The lighting around the bar and stage allows you to customize it for your event. You combine that with the expertise of Dawn and Ray and there would be no reason not to choose this venue

When my husband and I began our wedding planning journey, we looked at over 13 venues. I can’t honestly say that it was meeting with and talking to Ray, and seeing how invested he was in his venue and the couples that were to be married there that sold me on the Charter’s Room. Ray spent HOURS with us, drove us around the area to show us places we could go with our photographer for pictures, helped us locate churches and rehearsal dinner locations and hotels for the night of the wedding. He went ABOVE AND BEYOND any expectation I could have possibly had for a venue coordinator, and then some more. Over the course of the 11 months we plan ed our wedding, Ray and Dawn continuously blew me away with how much “Extra” they did than any other venue i spoke to, how well they got to know us and our parents and bridal party and friends, how well they worked with our other vendors and how professional they were at ALL times. Ray had to have met me at the venue at least 15-20 times so i could ask question after question, play with centerpieces, and bring my family/friends and to DIY decorations. One thing I know for a fact that separates the Chartier’s room from other venues is the flexibility with everything, especially decorating before the wedding. Almost all venues I spoke to allowed you to decorate either for three hours the morning of your actual wedding or 2 to 4 hours the night before. They, not only allowed us to be at the venue Thursday evening, almost all day Friday and Saturday morning, but he was there with us the whole time helping. I know for a fact i would have never found another venue to allow us so much time to set up, especially not someone who would work as hard as they did to help. Ray and Dawn were also SO involved the day of our wedding. From helping the caterer, to bartending, to helping us line up for entrances, to helping my MOH coordinate my sparkler exit, to allowing us to stay at the venue later than my contract stated. They truly became part of the group were so genuinely happy for us. In addition, when I had an issue with another vendor, Ray and Dawn were the first people to try and advocate for me with this vendor. They were honestly angry for me, thats how much they cared! The day after our wedding, Ray not only showed up to help us undecorate (which was not in our contract that he needed to do) but then when i realized I lost my bouquet the day before but couldn’t remember where, he drove around to where he knew we took pictures and LOOKED FOR MY BOUQUET HIMSELF IN THE RAIN! it blew my mind and brought tears to my eyes as he knew how important it was to me because it had charms from my late grandma and my dogs ashes pinned on it. Yet agin, another example of how you wont find another venue Coordinator to care more about you, your day, and your experience. I cannot thank Ray and Dawn, or the Chartiers Room enough. I could’ve gotten married at the fanciest and most expensive venue in PA, but I would never find people like Ray and Dawn who cared so much to go so out of their way to bring my (sometimes difficult, constantly changing, and over the top) dreams to a reality and i am Forever grateful.

t The Chartiers Room with my son and then his fiancé. It’s this hidden gem that I had no idea about. Once we walked in it was like wow!!! Ray sat down and explained everything to us. He has list of DJ’s, and caterers that we could choose from if we wish. My son and his then fiancé did go with people from the list. Which made it so much easier for my son to pick from. My stand point is having someone like Ray and his wife take my son under their wings weeks, days and the day of the wedding to help them with everything. I kept hearing from my son. “Mom, don’t worry, it’s under control” well moms worry all the time. My sons wedding was yesterday Dec 17, 2022 I walked into the hall thinking I was going to need to do something. My son was spot on - Ray and his wife where there for my son all the way until the end!!!! It was a wonderful feeling as a mom knowing that there are truly wonderful people out there like Ray and his wife to have me step back and let someone else help. I highly, highly (not sure how many highly’s I can type) recommend them 110%. I want to Thank Ray and his wife for all their help. The wedding turn out beautiful!

ing (frantic late night messaging him to see if he had my November Saturday date available) to days after our wedding (when he was so accommodating to us during cleanup), Ray and his team were MORE than I ever could have asked for. The price is MORE than fair for what you get (the room, tables, linen package, mixer package, bartenders, more frantic late night messaging about my questions, his own expertise, and ample time to set up prior to the wedding). Our day would not have been the same if it wasn’t at The Chartiers Room. Ray and his team are more than personable, timely in responses, the newly renovated room is STUNNING, and we were even able to customize our lighting choices. There is not a SINGLE complaint about this venue or team that I can think of- I will be screaming about my day here to other brides for the rest of eternity. If you want your venue coordinator to be laughing during your speeches along with your guests, helping you set up, and being right by your side the whole day, THIS is your venue.

we had some issues setting up, Ray and Dawn were so generous with their time and offering us all the assistance we needed to get all of the decorations in place. I will always appreciate their help in that very stressful situation. They also offer an extremely affordable linen package where set up and tear down is included. Our linens looked amazing and I’m so glad we utilized this add-on. If you are looking for a reception hall in the South Hills, definitely book the Chartiers Room!

w we had tours setup with other places, we decided to look no further. They explained everything answered any questions we had and offered us other amazing vendors. The day we came in to decorate we were blown away at the transformation of the hall. It was so awesome, I cried. There was not one thing I could find that was not perfect. The day of the reception, everything looked so gorgeous. The staff was so helpful, kind, and friendly. I promise you will not find a more amazing reception hall. ed, that saved us a trip to get that taken care of. They gave us a run down of what weddings usually cost and they show you how much you dont have to spend! They offered us a list of caterers they use, photographers, DJ, and alcohol packages! Talking to the owner, Ray, was so easy and he is such an amazing guy to work with. You can tell right off the bat he is there for you and that he wants to make your day the best! That alone is what sold us to pick this venue. After we settled on everything and signed the contract we started calling and getting everything planned. I was given numbers for him and his wife to help me with anything we needed. I was able to call and text whenever I needed help figuring something out, had questions, or adding final touches and needed opinions. We also had to switch things around for the day of our wedding to have our ceremony inside.. we initially had our ceremony somewhere else but due to weather, we had to make the change 2 days before the wedding day. He and his wife made everything smooth and easy and were very sympathetic and accommodated as best they could to make our day special! And they did just that! Everything was so easy with them and it really took alot of stress off our plate. Especially with the pandemic being so unpredictable, they always made sure that no matter what they would help make our day everything we wanted it to be! I highly reccomend them for any occasion!
