Words can’t even describe how HAPPY we were to have our reception here. From the friendliness to the beautiful updated venue eveything was perfect. Anything you need, they do it for you even the night of everything! Packages are customizable and they do what YOU want and pricing is something you can’t beat for what you get. Highly recommend any couple to use them!!

We had our wedding reception at The Chartiers Room last month and it was wonderful! Ray and his wife are so kind, and were incredibly flexible/willing to work with us to organize the exact setup and decor that we wanted. They offer linen rentals and when we showed up to decorate (there is a 4-hour window for decorating included in the venue rental fee!) all the tables and chairs were ready to go which made setting up an absolute breeze! The Chartiers Room is *beyond* reasonably priced and includes additional things (i.e. soft drink package, colored lights, cups) that are oftentimes not a part of the venue rental fee at other places. They also allow you to find your own caterer and provide your own alcohol, which is such a wonderful, cost-efficient option for couples who are doing more of a budget wedding like we did! We truly cannot say enough good things about the venue or the people who run it. The Chartiers Room was the perfect space and offered us everything we wanted for our wedding reception. We loved the Chartiers Room! We got so many compliments on how beautiful the space was and Ray was nothing short of amazing. He answered all questions whenever we had them and made sure we felt comfortable with everything from start to finish. We would recommend this space for any event!

This venue satisfied everything I needed and more! Ray and Dawn were attentive to each detail and surpassed all my expectations. Their communication was top notch. Would recommend for anyone looking for a reception venue!!

Ohhh boy- where do I begin!! The chartiers room was the PERFECT venue to have our reception. Ray & Dawn were always communicating with us to make sure our day was flawless. We could not have asked for a better venue to have our reception at!

From our very first meeting, I knew this is where my reception would be. When meeting Ray, his transparency through the hard questions made it known he would be honest throughout the process. This hall is handicap accessible and even has handicap bathrooms. If you use their servers, be prepared to treat be treated with kindness and your guests talking about how polite they were. The bartenders were not only loved by guests, but I appreciate it how as The Bride they learned what I was drinking. When we were setting up, Ray and his wife Dawn jumped right into help. That is something that I have never seen and just proves how above and beyond they go. The day of the wedding, Ray and Dawn continued to make sure everything went smoothly. Our cake decorator even complimented how helpful everyone was. In all, you cannot go with a better venue. The inside is newly renovated and gorgeous. The lighting around the bar and stage allows you to customize it for your event. You combine that with the expertise of Dawn and Ray and there would be no reason not to choose this venue

Ray with the Chartiers room was amazing. He was there for every step of the planning. They were so wonderful and made our wedding amazing.

We cannot stop talking about how amazing the Chartiers room and staff are! Ray and Dawn were so on top of things that everything that could make a wedding stressful was handled quickly and quietly. They answered every question we had and helped us plan like we were part of the family! We felt so supported as they consistently checked in on our needs throughout the night. I truly do not even know where to start with reviewing Ray and Dawn and the Chartier’s Room. They are two of the nicest people i have ever met, who genuinely get to know their couples as if they are family. If you book Your wedding here, they will truly put all they have into making it the best day of your life. When my husband and I began our wedding planning journey, we looked at over 13 venues. I can’t honestly say that it was meeting with and talking to Ray, and seeing how invested he was in his venue and the couples that were to be married there that sold me on the Charter’s Room. Ray spent HOURS with us, drove us around the area to show us places we could go with our photographer for pictures, helped us locate churches and rehearsal dinner locations and hotels for the night of the wedding. He went ABOVE AND BEYOND any expectation I could have possibly had for a venue coordinator, and then some more. Over the course of the 11 months we plan ed our wedding, Ray and Dawn continuously blew me away with how much “Extra” they did than any other venue i spoke to, how well they got to know us and our parents and bridal party and friends, how well they worked with our other vendors and how professional they were at ALL times. Ray had to have met me at the venue at least 15-20 times so i could ask question after question, play with centerpieces, and bring my family/friends and to DIY decorations. One thing I know for a fact that separates the Chartier’s room from other venues is the flexibility with everything, especially decorating before the wedding. Almost all venues I spoke to allowed you to decorate either for three hours the morning of your actual wedding or 2 to 4 hours the night before. They, not only allowed us to be at the venue Thursday evening, almost all day Friday and Saturday morning, but he was there with us the whole time helping. I know for a fact i would have never found another venue to allow us so much time to set up, especially not someone who would work as hard as they did to help. Ray and Dawn were also SO involved the day of our wedding. From helping the caterer, to bartending, to helping us line up for entrances, to helping my MOH coordinate my sparkler exit, to allowing us to stay at the venue later than my contract stated. They truly became part of the group were so genuinely happy for us. In addition, when I had an issue with another vendor, Ray and Dawn were the first people to try and advocate for me with this vendor. They were honestly angry for me, thats how much they cared! The day after our wedding, Ray not only showed up to help us undecorate (which was not in our contract that he needed to do) but then when i realized I lost my bouquet the day before but couldn’t remember where, he drove around to where he knew we took pictures and LOOKED FOR MY BOUQUET HIMSELF IN THE RAIN! it blew my mind and brought tears to my eyes as he knew how important it was to me because it had charms from my late grandma and my dogs ashes pinned on it. Yet agin, another example of how you wont find another venue Coordinator to care more about you, your day, and your experience. I cannot thank Ray and Dawn, or the Chartiers Room enough. I could’ve gotten married at the fanciest and most expensive venue in PA, but I would never find people like Ray and Dawn who cared so much to go so out of their way to bring my (sometimes difficult, constantly changing, and over the top) dreams to a reality and i am Forever grateful.

As the mother of the groom, I want to let you all know - it was nice stepping back from all the stress with arranging my sons wedding. I met Ray 7 months ago when I went to look at The Chartiers Room with my son and then his fiancé. It’s this hidden gem that I had no idea about. Once we walked in it was like wow!!! Ray sat down and explained everything to us. He has list of DJ’s, and caterers that we could choose from if we wish. My son and his then fiancé did go with people from the list. Which made it so much easier for my son to pick from. My stand point is having someone like Ray and his wife take my son under their wings weeks, days and the day of the wedding to help them with everything. I kept hearing from my son. “Mom, don’t worry, it’s under control” well moms worry all the time. My sons wedding was yesterday Dec 17, 2022 I walked into the hall thinking I was going to need to do something. My son was spot on - Ray and his wife where there for my son all the way until the end!!!! It was a wonderful feeling as a mom knowing that there are truly wonderful people out there like Ray and his wife to have me step back and let someone else help. I highly, highly (not sure how many highly’s I can type) recommend them 110%. I want to Thank Ray and his wife for all their help. The wedding turn out beautiful!

Beautiful venue with absolutely wonderful coordinators. Ray was a pleasure to work with and so helpful in all areas of organizing and planning the wedding reception.

There are not enough amazing and complimentary words in the English language to describe my experience with Ray and his Chartiers Room for my wedding on 11/12/2022. From the beginning (frantic late night messaging him to see if he had my November Saturday date available) to days after our wedding (when he was so accommodating to us during cleanup), Ray and his team were MORE than I ever could have asked for. The price is MORE than fair for what you get (the room, tables, linen package, mixer package, bartenders, more frantic late night messaging about my questions, his own expertise, and ample time to set up prior to the wedding). Our day would not have been the same if it wasn’t at The Chartiers Room. Ray and his team are more than personable, timely in responses, the newly renovated room is STUNNING, and we were even able to customize our lighting choices. There is not a SINGLE complaint about this venue or team that I can think of- I will be screaming about my day here to other brides for the rest of eternity. If you want your venue coordinator to be laughing during your speeches along with your guests, helping you set up, and being right by your side the whole day, THIS is your venue.

We could not have asked for a better reception venue. The staff at the Chartiers Room is absolutely amazing to work with. Ray & Dawn are always quick to answer questions and clear up concerns. The space was recently renovated and is absolutely beautiful. Our entire experience was amazing.

Ray and Dawn are two of the kindest people you will meet while planning your wedding. They ensured that we had a great reception and helped us get all of the details together. When we had some issues setting up, Ray and Dawn were so generous with their time and offering us all the assistance we needed to get all of the decorations in place. I will always appreciate their help in that very stressful situation. They also offer an extremely affordable linen package where set up and tear down is included. Our linens looked amazing and I’m so glad we utilized this add-on. If you are looking for a reception hall in the South Hills, definitely book the Chartiers Room!

The Chartiers room went above and beyond to accommodate our needs for our special day! They made sure we were completely satisfied with every service they provided and they gave us fair prices and phenomenal guidance to help our day go as smoothly as possible. They were also very flexible to last minute changes and any extra things we requested. Ray and his team were simply amazing. They were accommodating answering my phone calls at any time of the day or night! They are very hard working and always on top of their game. Let me just say what an amazing experience we had at our reception at the Chartiers Room. We met with Ray and Dawn in February of 2020 for a tour of the reception hall and even know we had tours setup with other places, we decided to look no further. They explained everything answered any questions we had and offered us other amazing vendors. The day we came in to decorate we were blown away at the transformation of the hall. It was so awesome, I cried. There was not one thing I could find that was not perfect. The day of the reception, everything looked so gorgeous. The staff was so helpful, kind, and friendly. We could not be happier with how our wedding reception turned out. The staff was the best to work with, professional and extremely attentive to our needs. We felt very welcome. The room was beautiful. Everything was clean and organized beautifully. The food was delicious. I would strongly recommend the Chartiers Room to anyone.

We had such a great experience with this venue. To start, we had a lower budget for a wedding venue, this was perfect! On top of that they offered a package that had linens included, that saved us a trip to get that taken care of. They gave us a run down of what weddings usually cost and they show you how much you dont have to spend! They offered us a list of caterers they use, photographers, DJ, and alcohol packages! Talking to the owner, Ray, was so easy and he is such an amazing guy to work with. You can tell right off the bat he is there for you and that he wants to make your day the best! That alone is what sold us to pick this venue. After we settled on everything and signed the contract we started calling and getting everything planned. I was given numbers for him and his wife to help me with anything we needed. I was able to call and text whenever I needed help figuring something out, had questions, or adding final touches and needed opinions. We also had to switch things around for the day of our wedding to have our ceremony inside.. we initially had our ceremony somewhere else but due to weather, we had to make the change 2 days before the wedding day. He and his wife made everything smooth and easy and were very sympathetic and accommodated as best they could to make our day special! And they did just that! Everything was so easy with them and it really took alot of stress off our plate. Especially with the pandemic being so unpredictable, they always made sure that no matter what they would help make our day everything we wanted it to be! I highly reccomend them for any occasion!

From start to finish the process working with the Chartiers Room was a great experience! Close to the big day I felt a sense of ease and compassion as the big day approached. There wasnt a question or problem they didn't have an answer for. Also the fact that they are first responders made it even better! I highly recommend The Chartiers Room. You will not regret it! We had the best experience working with Ray and Dawn planning our wedding! Due to Covid...we had to postpone our wedding for a year! Ray and Dawn were very accommodating changing our wedding a year later! No matter what question...Ray and Dawn had an answer...or helped us out. Everything ran smoothly from decorating and during the reception! The room was beautiful!! I highly recommend The Chartiers Room for your reception! If I could give them more stars I would!!

Our first venue visit was the Chartiers Room and we decided we didn’t need to look anywhere else! Ray and his wife are amazing. Their dedication and attention to detail are what sold it for us.

Ray and his wife have been amazing people so far. We went there to look at chartiers room and Ray sold it. He was fun to talk to. Him and his wife show that they love what they do and enjoy it. You can tell that they have the bride and groom at their best interest. The area was set up as a wedding when we went to look at it, and walking in you could imagine how your day was going to look!!!! We decided to book the Chartiers Room and are super excited!!! Ray took the time to even point us in a direction of where we could possibly get married outside or even go to take pics there.

Ray was awesome. He took care of everything. It was a very easy, it was a seamless experience customized to the way we wanted it. We were pointed in the right direction from DJ, to Caterer, to centerpieces. They’re simply the best in town.

We originally booked the Chartier's Room early in 2019. We set our wedding date for November 7, 2020. From the start, Ray and Dawn were great to work with. You couldn't beat the price we were quoted. The venue is beautiful and we liked the vendors that were recommended. Unfortunately, due to COVID restrictions, we had to move our wedding somewhere outdoors. Even throughout the cancellation process Ray was understanding and offered us a full refund. We received our money back within 30 days. I would absolutely recommend anybody looking for a wedding venue to check out the Chartier's Room.

Dawn and Ray were a joy to work with! I would recommend The Chartiers Room 100xs over again to any bride that is looking for a reasonably priced and beautiful venue. Unfortunately, our plans changed this year due to COVID but no matter what the situation was Ray and Dawn were willing to work with my fiancé and I and give us piece of mind. If I could give this venue a 100 stars I would!!!

This has been one of the greatest experiences so far. Dawn has made the wedding planning process essentially stress free for me!! I couldn’t ask for a better venue or better people to work with!

We were referred to the Chartiers Room by a family member. Once we met Ray, our wedding planner, we knew we were in good hands. From the pictures that we have seen the venue transforms into an elegant place to have a wedding and reception. Ray has been available to answer any questions that we have, and made the best recommendation for wedding pictures. Thank you Ray, we are excited!

One of the best venue's ever... will recommend to everyone. My family had a blast. Its a very well kept hall will a great kitchen and clean bathrooms. Ray is wonderful to work with. Even the decorator was blown away! Amazing service! We will use them for every event we have.

Our experience in dealing with the chartiers room was absolutely incredible! They give you enough freedom to make the day exactly what you want it to be. Dawn and Ray were so on top of everything it honestly felt like there was nothing we had to worry about. Their staff is is as helpful and as professional as you could ever imagine and the venue is absolutely beautiful. I can’t think of any way our day could’ve been more perfect. I would recommend the chartiers room 10 out of 10 times for anybody’s wedding it truly is the most perfect experience.

Ray and Dawn were so easy to work with. They were very helpful, flexible and accommodating during the constant changes during the covid pandemic. We felt like we were always coming with questions and they answered them! The room was set up beautifully, they were reasonably priced, and the additional vendors they suggested (dj, caterer, photo locations etc) were fantastic! We couldn't be happier with how our big day turned out and it wouldn't have been possible without them! Highly recommend!

At first they say everything right. Then it just falls apart. I had only 2 servers and i was told i had to pay for 5 in cash the day before.. They did this thing with a fire hat with my husband that we had no idea about and didn’t appreciate what so ever. The whole night needs redone. So disappointed.

We held my daughter’s wedding reception under a tent right outside, due to the restrictions of Covid. The Chartiers Room accommodated all of our wedding needs. Everything was beautiful. Ray and the staff made sure we had all That we needed. I wish I could upload pictures to show just how beautiful our special day was.

I had my wedding at the Chartiers Room on October 5th, 2019 and it was perfect! Ray and Dawn were super helpful and made everything a breeze. They made my anxiety diminish and my special day became my dream wedding! The facility was beautiful, clean, and classy. I couldn’t have asked for a better staff and facility for my wedding! We had planned our wedding an spoke with Ray an his wife. They guided us through everything ,recommend awesome caterers an great DJ. I'm very detailed on things an was worried about how the place would look... it was beautiful. Absolutely the best! We can't say enough about the staff at the chartiers room! They were right with us every step of the way, from planning to execution of our big day. Ray and Dawn have gone above and beyond our expectations. They took a blank canvas and made it into the most beautiful and well coordinated event. I will forever recommend them! Ray and Dawn were phenomenal! They orchestrated everything perfectly between the caterer, bakery and DJ. Our wedding was perfect because of there hard work and dedication! I had absolutely not worry’s the day of the wedding!

Ray and Dawn at the Chartiers Room are awesome. The prices are extremely reasonable. They help you to choose the perfect vendors such as the DJ and caterer. They also allowed us to use their centerpieces and many of their decorations which saved us a great deal of money. The venue is back in a private location which was also useful. Ray and Dawn are both hard working and it is obvious that they care about all of the couples and they want you to have a perfect day. Ray also was nice enough to take us to different locations right around the venue to show us where we could take the perfect pictures. There are only a couple of complaints that I personally had, but everyone's experience is different. My family and I spent alot of time making a ton of cookies. At the end of the night there were many left over, I assumed they would be covered and I could put them in the containers the next day when I picked up my items. However, all of the cookies were thrown away. I wish I would have been asked what I wanted done with them. If they would have told me they were going to throw them away I would have stayed that night and packaged them all myself. Also, as I stated before, Ray and Dawn are both absolutely amazing. However, I did get slightly nervous as you are in contact with one giving details and then the other will call and ask you the same details rather than having it all written down and communicating. Overall, my husband and I loved our experience at the Chartiers Room. They were extremely accommodating with all of our desires and we have an absolutely amazing day. I had such a great time and did not want it to end. For anyone wanting to have a wedding here, I would recommend it at a 9 out of 10.

I want to say ..I had a wonderful wedding. The staff was out of this world. I felt like I was dealing with people who really cared about our special day. They went out of their way to help anyway they could. I had a prolem with Dj .. Ray took time to help handle the awful situation. You will be very pleased with everything .. This place and people are amazing at what they do !!!

My now husband and I wanted somewhere laid back, reliable and headache free! We definitely found that at The Chartiers Room with Ray and his entire staff. Whenever we had a question or concern Ray was right there to answer and help solve any questions, with Ray’s busy schedule he still makes each couple a priority. They went above and beyond to make our day so special, from the arrangements of the tables, to the centerpieces, the timing of everything all the way to my aisle runner at the last minute! We just got married on April 6 and had our reception at The Chartiers Room and to say that it was everything we imagined would be an understatement! Ray and Dawn were so incredibly helpful throughout the entire process from beginning to end. They were always there to lend a hand or offer their opinions. The Chartier’s room was an extraordinary find. This past February, we had our wedding at the Chartier’s. The Chartier’s staff, led by Ray and Dawn, did a fabulous job coordinating our wedding. They were so very helpful and considerate during the planning and execution of the event. Ray and Dawn were always helpful and answered our questions in a very timely manner. They were also very personable and went out of their way to help us during every step of the process. Whenever bride, groom, and or MOH was worried about any detail, the refrain of “call Ray” could be heard; inevitably, all fears, worries, and fights were assuaged. Although we had unique ideas that Ray and Dawn helped us to bring to life, we were new to the planning process and unsure how to choose and plan many details. Ray and Dawn are NOT pushy, but they are very experienced and helpful when you don’t know what to do. Ray also introduced us to a wedding DJ, Dahn-Than DJs, who we booked (and also can’t recommend enough). The hall was set up beautifully with every attention to detail and this helped us to create our own, creative atmosphere. The pricing, coordination, and staff makes the Chartier’s Room a must. We highly recommend contacting Ray at the Chartier’s Room to schedule your wedding or event.

The event room is beautiful. Ray and Dawn Costain were very helpful. Whenever I had a question they either answered or got an answer for us. The bridal party (girls) loved the dressing room.

I’m trying to find the words to describe our experience with Ray and The Chartiers Room.. I keep circling back to the word “perfect”. Ray and his team made it very evident from the beginning that they would do anything to help make our planning easier and our experience as positive as possible. Their list of preferred vendors made everything so much simpler, as well. After looking at the room, seeing the size, and hearing the price we knew immediately that it was a no brainer. We had to celebrate our new life together at The Chartiers Room with our friends and families. Setting up the room the day before was incredible. I loved seeing my vision come to life and upon walking into our reception as husband and wife, the room looked even better than when we left it the night before with the uplighting and illuminated table skirts. I know you’ll feel the same way when you see it, too. The Chartiers Room is a no brainer!
