I owe a huge thank you to the venues coordinator, Hope, who from day one assured me that wedding weekend would be perfect. You often read reviews that say coordinators that work for the venue is not the same as hiring your own wedding coordinator, that they won’t be there to help you make decisions along the way, suggest ideas when you are stuck on something and are merely a day of coordinator who lines the bridal party up and gets you down the aisle. This could not be further from the truth at The Chateau Grande. Hope was the most helpful, caring and knowledgeable person I met during the entire process of wedding planning, bar none. She answered every email (there were many) and texts promptly and would happily get a phone call to discuss things in detail at a moments notice. Hope was extremely flexible in every single way to ensure this was truly “our day”. Hope went above and beyond for each event we hosted, for the rehearsal, she spent hours setting up the candles on the tables exactly the way I had them photoshopped in my inspo pic, she made sure every napkin, place card, menu and our signage was perfectly placed and the room was lit exactly how I envisioned. Hope did not just get us down the aisle, she didn’t just show up that day, she truly built our wedding day with us from the ground up. Hope became a huge part of the wedding to me. She was an integral part of the process without whom I know I would not have had the bridal experience I waited my whole life to have. I can never thank her enough for everything she did. I know she went above and beyond for us and I am forever grateful for her.
May 18, 2024 went by in the blink of an eye just as I knew it would. The ceremony was stunning. Immediately upon walking out of our ceremony we were congratulated by staff and handed our signature cocktails, very nice touch.I stressed to Hope throughout the year of planning that the quality and quantity of food is of the upmost importance to my family, specifically my father, who wanted to know that guests would never have to wait for food to be replenished at cocktail hour and that we added enough food options that guests would have an abundance to choose from. We also chose to extend cocktail hour to an hour and a half so guests had more time to enjoy everything. In my opinion this is an absolute MUST and worth every penny. I requested cocktail smoker tops for old fashions at the bar and the request was happily accommodated, such an elegant touch when guests ordered the signature cocktail. The reception was everything and more. The lighting built in to the venue once again, superb. We added our own uplighting package from the DJ as well but the lighting the venue has can easily be used in the event that you don’t want to do any additional lighting packages. Our guests were attended to quickly with anything they ordered at the bar. From salads to entrees, the food was top tier and cooked perfectly. Every detail of our weekend was exquisite. This venue provided such a high end and luxurious feel from the moment we booked with them. Luxury is a running theme at this venue and it is no surprise that a venue this well managed has the ability to accommodate your every request. I wish anyone who gets married the same experience that we had. I can’t wait to come back for dinner, weekends away and special occasions. The Chateau Grande will always hold the most special place in our hearts.
Hope was an absolute pleasure to work with! We had our rehearsal dinner, after party, and recovery breakfast through this venue and everything went off without a hitch! Hope was extremely detail oriented, knowledgeable, and responsive. The bridal suite was luxurious, spacious, and the perfect setting for my large bridal party (myself, 6 bridesmaids, 3 junior bridesmaids, 2 flower girls, mothers, 7 hair and makeup stylists, etc.) to get ready the morning of my wedding. I would 1,000% recommend this venue!
After looking at several wedding venues, from the moment we walked into the Chateau Grande Hotel and met the event coordinator Hope Sedgwick, we knew that this is where we had to begin our journey.
Hope gave us the confidence that she would be there through every step in the process, from answering all my questions, giving us all information, and sharing humorous stories to advise us along the way.
She fulfilled every promise right up to the last moment of our wedding day. Not only being there for us as the Bride and Groom, but making sure that every member of our wedding party, family, and friends received the attention to make their day as fun and special as well.
The best testimony we have received from so many guests was that this was one of the best weddings they've been too from service to food.
As the Bride, I could not have asked for a better event coordinator who made my day flawless, or my Bridal attendant Samantha who was by my side the entire day making sure I always had everything I needed.
This truly was the most magical day and I can not express my gratitude to the Chateau Grande Hotel team enough.
Any questions?
The Chateau Grande exceeded all of our expectations. From start to finish, top to bottom this place was on point. The ambiance is second to none- very chic and high end. Our ceremony was outside, and then our cocktail hour utilized both parts of their La Pomme room and the outside patio. Then, the reception room was a DREAM come true. It is not your typical ballroom style room- the floor to ceiling windows, the lit up trees outside, and even the circular dance floor are one of a kind. It's the perfect set up with the hotel rooms upstairs, and the ceremony/cocktail hour/reception spaces right downstairs. The lobby bar is absolutely gorgeous and perfect for before or after the wedding! Leading up to our wedding we worked with Hope as our coordinator. She was simply amazing! She is honest, hard working, detail oriented, and she ensured the smoothest wedding day and planning process I could have ever asked for. Hope was only a call/text away for anything- big or small! She works 24/7, 365. Next up- the food! OMG! Out of this world, and there was so much of it.. Chef David Burke's restaurant Orchard Park is on site and that is who caters. Our guests have not stopped raving about the cocktail hour and dinner service! They hit it out of the park! Special shout out to my bridal attendant, Dean! He was the sweetest and most attentive person I have ever met. He made our entire day and night 10x better- whether it was him following me for photos, carrying my bouquet, putting my veil on and off for photos, or bringing myself, husband, and entire family water on the dance floor. I mean I cannot say enough good things about him! He enhanced our experience without a doubt. We truly and whole heartedly had the best day of our lives, and we owe it to the Chateau Grande and their staff. My husband and I would absolutely recommend this venue, they are a hidden gem!
We hosted our wedding party and out-of-town guests at this hotel next door to the Park Chateau wedding venue. Great ambiance and service overall!
- Room block coordination was smooth and sales department was very responsive to our requests/updates.
- We hosted a rehearsal dinner in one of the private event rooms on the first floor. Easy to do and they had no issues with a custom table room setup. Food and service were great.
- Bellhop attendant was nice and helped with a lot of heavy baggage moving to/from the wedding venue next door.
- Rooms were clean and classy. We stayed in a mix of King-bed rooms (got a free upgrade to King Superior suite!) and Bridal Suites, including one with a massive terrace. Very nice for casual afterparty.
- Bar in the lobby gives off a chic vibe and is popping because of constant wedding guests. Starbucks coffee also available in the lobby.
Although it's a bit pricier than nearby hotels, it's worth it because you're staying at a genuinely nicer facility and it's conveniently steps away from the Park Chateau next door.
We had our wedding here earlier this month and it was absolutely perfect! From planning to day-of, it was an absolute dream. We were close to giving up on wedding planning because we struggled to find a venue that would accommodate our 50 person micro-wedding, with the the feel of a “big, traditional” wedding. I worked with Hope and she made it clear from our first visit that they were willing to work with us to customize the space and menu in any way to fit our vision. We had our reception in the La Pomme ballroom and our ceremony was held in the patio right off the ballroom. The patio is fully enclosed and heated, which was perfect for our winter wedding. Guests were able to sit/stand around the arch we had our florist build. It was super intimate having our guests surround us as we shared our vows. There were a TON of different menu options available - cocktail hour is optional and there are a few different dinner options to choose from. Regardless of the menu you choose, all of the food is absolutely amazing! We chose the four course dinner and all of our guests raved to us afterwards about how amazing all of the food was. Although there isn’t a dance floor in the ballroom, the tables were situated in a way that left plenty of room in the middle to dance, which we took full advantage of. There is also plenty of room to have a DJ with a full setup. The day of we had a full team working with us to ensure things went smoothly. I didn’t have a day of coordinator and you definitely don’t need one as the staff works together so efficiently to ensure you stay on schedule. Tatiana was my bridal attendant day of and she was AMAZING!!! She was by my side the entire day. She made sure I was on schedule, she helped bustle my dress, literally anything I needed, she made sure it was taken care of. Not only that, but she was SO patient, understanding, and friendly. We got ready in the bridal suite that came equipped with two salon stations and it was absolutely perfect! There’s also 2 wine fridges and plenty of space! Our photographers found the most amazing spots for pictures as there’s TONS, both indoors and outdoors. No matter the size of your wedding, the staff goes above and beyond to make you feel so special.
We used this hotel for our wedding and it was incredible! So beautiful! Amazing bridal suite & service. Got to have an after party at the outdoor bar after. Great location since we got married at park chateau. Highly recommend staying here!
The Chateau Grande Hotel is an amazing wedding venue! It’s beautiful and the food is so delicious. I was married there and my husband and I couldn’t be happier! Our families couldn’t stop raving about the food and the ambience. We were so lucky to be able to work with such a Great venue. Working with Hope was such a stress free experience , she’s amazing and you can tell she truly cares about her couples. We would have been lost with out her. Hope you are the BEST! Thank you for making out wedding so fun!
This Chateau Grand Hotel is exquisite! My husband and I, as well as our families and friends, stayed at Chateau Grande the night prior to and on the night of our wedding that was held at Park Chateau. So convenient! After our amazing wedding and reception, only steps away was a hotel that provided the perfect space to continue with our celebration. We found the service and staff to be most professional and extremely helpful. Alison was an amazing help with the room blocks and answered all questions quickly. We also stayed in one of several wedding suites at the hotel. This was perfect for my bridal party the night before the wedding. The suite also provided the perfect setting for guests who wished to continue in our celebration after the hotel bar closed. There was an expansive outdoor seating area that overlooked the grounds of the Park Chateau. Simply stunning! The hotel bar service was phenomenal after our wedding. This hotel is worth the stay if you are attending a special event. We also recommend the hotel if you are just a visiting for a drink at the bar or a meal at the restaurant. We will definitely be back!
The Chateau Grande venue is absolutely beautiful and the service is outstanding. From the moment we made contact with Hope Sedgwick, Chateau Grande Events by David Burke Sales Manager, it was a completely stress-free and exciting experience. Leading up to our wedding, Hope was very knowledgeable, creative, and attentive to detail to make sure that we were able to maximize our budget and have everything that we needed. Hope periodically checked in with us, not only regarding venue details, but also to give us a sense of calm & encouragement. On our wedding day, the entire team was OUTSTANDING!! Each and every person was attentive, kind, and welcoming. Our guests are still complimenting the experience from their perspective as well. We are truly grateful to Hope and the entire team at Chateau Grande Events by Davide Burke for the most amazing and memorable Wedding experience. Thank you!
Definitely a venue to check into. We were guests of a very recent wedding and I must say everything and everyone was top notch! It’s a very busy place but each event was given and received attention. Very classy place to say the least. Food, grounds, rooms, staff you name it , it was a fabulous!
I had my wedding here on 10/23 and it was nothing short of amazing. It was everything we expected and more. We stayed in the bridal suite and it was perfect, spacious and luxurious ! The staff was amazing. Hope Sedgewick was my wedding coordinador and she made my dream come true! She was responsive and found solutions to everything. The food was great! My guests are still raving about it. Beautiful upscale venue.
We booked this venue November 2020 when there was still construction going on all around us. However, we were blown away by what we were able to see and trusted that we were in good hands. If I were writing this review nearly 2 years ago, the score would be very different. To put it simply, our planning process and working with this venue initially were just awful. We were promised so many things during our tour process that never came to fruition. After many talks and visits with different managers, the venue was able to really turn things around and I truly would like to credit Shawn and Aurora for this. Aurora was our final event coordinator after cycling through almost 4 people and she is just incredible. She was attentive, she took notes and jumped into a messy situation that was no fault of hers. She was very easy to contact and helped us through multiple outside issues including our best man/officiant catching covid on our rehearsal day! Without Aurora I do not know how else our day would have been as amazing as it was. The food is fantastic and I think that goes without saying. My bridal attendant Tatiana was also fantastic. She advocated for me the entire day, constantly asked what i needed even if it was just that i needed a break or to be alone. At the end of the night she helped me remove my hair extensions and even asked if it was okay for her to go home or if she still needed my help. She was kind, funny and great company to have by my side. Overall, I think this venue is finally heading in the right direction despite being off to a rocky start. Our pictures came out just stunning and we are so happy to have had our wedding here.
We signed with Chateau back in November 2020 when they were still very much under construction and had not yet held any weddings. When we walked through the venue everything was still being built, but we could tell that it was going to be beautiful just from the renderings and the starting touches that we saw. We fell in love with the outdoor ceremony space and knew right away that this was the venue for us. The venue being a hotel was a major plus in our book – super convenient and no need for transportation. The hotel rooms are so nice and the bridal suites are stunning with so much space for getting ready and hanging out! We put a lot of faith into Chateau as they were just starting up and ultimately we are so grateful that we did because our wedding was the most perfect and special day of our lives. Chateau really knows how to run a wedding and make sure everything runs as smoothly as possible on your day. It is truly amazing how many compliments we have received about our wedding. All of our guests are still raving about how much they loved the venue and the food, which is really all you could ever ask for. The venue space is modern and sleek, the grounds are beautiful, the food is incredible, and the staff is top-notch. Our Director Shawn was a total rockstar, always ensuring we were happy and asking for our input on any and all decisions – we had questionable weather (rained all morning) and he allowed everything to be set up inside for the time being and said if the weather cleared up, we could move everything last minute to outside, which is exactly what happened! I have heard of many venues requiring a decision early in the morning, but he was super flexible and patient and knew how important an outside ceremony was to us. I cannot say enough good things about my amazing Bridal Attendant Gabby, she literally was by my side the entire day and was so quick and efficient with everything! She constantly asked if I needed anything to eat or drink, kept me calm, and laid out my train perfectly for every photo and during the ceremony. She helped me change from my heels into my sneakers before the reception with ease, and I am so thankful for her! We truly felt like royalty the entire day. Alison, the Hotel Block Coordinator was also amazing along with Herman the bellman who never complained once about bringing all of our stuff up and down throughout our prep and wedding day. Chateau really takes care of you and values you and your special day. We are so glad we made the decision to have our wedding there and will forever be grateful!
Beautiful Façade, lack luster customer service.
What attracted us to Chateau Grande was the beauty of the Park Chateau, and the Grande’s proximity to the Park Chateau. So, we decided to host our traditional Nigerian ceremony and rehearsal dinner at the Grande Chateau.
I can understand the cultural nuance of hosting a non-traditional wedding event can be new terrain. But there we issue non ceremony related that amount to terrible customer service and lack attention of the bare minimum of details.
The first issue we encountered was the room block we reserved. We reserved our room block almost year in advance of the event. I called routinely to ensure the reservations.
When my guest arrived, their rooms were not ready. Furthermore, our block of twenty rooms was separated on different. My bridesmaid who had an infant in here room was awakened at 2AM in the morning when a guest at the hotel (not on our room block) attempted a force entry to her room. Luckily, her husband was there to protect her and the baby. There was no attention to detail regarding the reservations or request related to the room blocks or request for rooms to be ready for guest on arrival.
The rehearsal dinner / Nigerian ceremony was an exercise in extortion. Prior to the start the hotel contact for the dinner process my credit card for vendor meals. My vendors were never served. Meals were never delivered to me or my staff. During the event, my parents was told an erroneous head count for additional meals. My mother-in-law transferred her table orders to sit outside. The hotel then served my mother in laws tables outside and her empty table inside. Doubling the count. Then the waiters served empty seats inside and the outside seats for the purpose of increasing their price. Then the waiters threw the food in the trash. They did not package or preserve the meals they increased. They did not serve each table the cotton candy tree only two cotton candy trees were served. We were charged for 8 tables worth. I saw waiters drop full-service tray of food in the lobby. I asked for our dinner to be delivered to our individual suites, my husband never received his dinner. We paid over 1000 a night for the suites. There’s no HBO or premium channels available at the hotel. The TV in my husband's suite bedroom programmed locked parental controls so he could watch TV during our stay.
Our ceremony cake was erroneously delivered to the Park Chateau, we asked The Grande to bring it to our ceremony. They refused, saying that the hotel doesn’t work with the Park Chateau. My wedding night the groom's suite which was again over 1000 a night for was interrupted again ( by persons not on our room block. )
I contacted the GM about the above, he dodged my emails, calls, and voicemails, until I requested a refund for the vendor meals and double charged meals. He denied the facts. I encouraged him to further investigate as I have photographs and videos of everything I mentioned. He lied to me saying the vendors meal weren’t charged. His blind denial demonstrates
It’s a beautiful venue no doubt my photos are amazing. What is disappointing was the fraudulent inducement in over promising on services the Grande Chateau could not provide. The room block was not ready. The event dinner service was absolutely unprofessional. The response to my concerns was lacking. The GM only responded when I request a refund for meals never delivered. He did not investigate. I would not recommend a room block here.
The Chateau Grande Hotel is a hidden gem in a sea of run-of-the-mill wedding venues. If you are looking for a unique yet elegant, intimate yet grand venue, the CGH is your best choice.
I will start this off by sharing that I am a photographer in the wedding industry and I have been a part of many celebrations in the NY/NJ area. When it came to choosing our venue, I struggled to find a place that hasn't turned into a wedding factory, churning out 8 weddings a day with dry entrees that no one eats anyway.. Then I found this venue.
First and foremost, the food is as amazing as everyone says. This is because it is NOT a banquet hall that mass produces the same aforementioned dry meat. It is an elevated culinary experience developed by David Burke. Our guests are still raving about the food - in fact, my MOH is currently at a wedding and just told me our food was 10x better. The filet mignon was top tier, and even our chicken entree, which I've experienced to be mostly tasteless at other venues, was delightful. I still dream about the clothesline bacon we had at our cocktail hour.. Even the lobster rolls were super fresh, and I am a snotty New Englander who won’t eat fish unless it’s clearly extremely fresh.
Secondly, the team is there to support you along the way. From the bridal attendants, to dining & hotel staff - everyone is impeccable. Specifically grateful for Shawn, Jose, and Alison who went out of their way to help. Most importantly, I want to note that Hope Sedgwick truly made our experience incredible. We had worked with two other coordinators leading up to our wedding, and neither were as competent and helpful as Hope. She is honest and fair, which is exactly what you need in a coordinator. When wedding planning, you do not want to be told what you want to hear - you need the truth, and Hope provides that and so much more! She is 100% on your side throughout the entire process. She truly goes above and beyond for her clients. Your wedding is not something you want to be coddled through - in order to have an excellent day, you need to be willing to listen to the professionals and allow them to do their jobs.. Hope does her job better than most people I've met in the industry. I have to admit I felt an immediate kinship as soon as we met - she definitely gave me hope that we would have a beautiful day.
Third, THE PHOTO OPPORTUNITIES. Aren't you tired of seeing the same gazebo in all of your friends' wedding photos? The CGH provides beautiful backdrops for all of your events, including gorgeous natural light in the bridal suites.
Fourth, the CGH is perfect for more intimate weddings (up to 120 people) where you and your guests can spend both the rehearsal & wedding night in the hotel. If you think your guests will want to stay at the venue, make sure you block off an appropriate amount of rooms as they do get booked quickly. If you are looking for a venue to fit your 300 guests at the price of a Friendly’s per person, this is not your place. Weddings are a luxury, and you need to be realistic about your finances throughout the entire process. The CGH is perfect for those with healthy venue budgets but require a lower minimum than the average venue in NJ.
I know this review is lengthy, but I hope it helps any future couples considering the Chateau Grande Hotel. You are in wonderful hands and you will have a beautiful day. It goes by so fast - savor every single moment. Congratulations and happy wedding planning!
From the moment we visited the hotel for the first time, we knew this was going to be the place we got married. Thank you Everyone! This venue is a stunning! The team took amazing care of us throughout the day and every detail was taken care of! All of our guests raved about how good the food was and they are still talking about how beautiful our wedding was. If you’re looking for a venue, look no further and book your wedding with the Chateau!
Our wedding was February, 2022. We initially booked with another coordinator when we first picked the hotel. We couldn't be more happy with the change. Hope was with us at our tasting and made sure she had all the details so she could step in. I am so glad! She was especially nice to our child and made sure he had his favorite meal. This is a gem of a place. My guest are still talking about everything. The breakfast the next day was just as delicious. Thank you so much Chateau
Thank you Thank you for a incredible day. The day was flawless! The food and service were impeccable and I couldn't ask for any thing more. A special thank you to Shawn and Hope for making every detail perfect. Hope you listened to every detail and made sure it went smoothed. Your team was so professional.
The Chateau Grande Hotel was nothing short of an amazing experience for my family and our big day. The service was amazing. Alisha Horesh was my Event Director and did an amazing job at accommodating our requests and assuring that our guests had an amazing and eventful time. The food, the service, everything was well worth it.
We had our wedding a few weeks ago at the Chateau Grande. I honestly have no words for how amazing the venue, Alisha, Neesh, Jade, and all the staff who helped us put together our event were. They helped us pull off such a wonderful, amazing wedding. We had to postpone our destination wedding due to COVID but luckily, we found this perfect venue.. with only a few months to plan! Alisha, the hotel’s Director of Events, was really on top of things and helped us tremendously and even sorted out all the little details for us. Neesh was our maitre’d, and she made sure our day would go without any issues, and that the entire staff were on top of things and coordinated with our vendors. Jade, our bridal attendant, was very sweet and really took care of me. The food from the David Burke’s restaurant was truly out of this world.. from the high-end cocktail hour food to our classy, delicious dinner, and to the tasty dessert! Not only that, their rooms were designed beautifully. The bridal suite was a dream (spacious, beautiful and was the perfect backdrop for our getting ready pictures). Our guests loved their rooms as well, and front desk was extremely accommodating.
Everything you’d want in a fun, successful, beautiful wedding you’ll find at the Chateau Grande. It was exactly how we imagined it’d be! If you are having second thoughts about this venue, DON’T. They truly will exceed your expectations!
Like many couples, my fiancee and I had high expectations for our wedding - but we never expected our venue to EXCEED them.
First off, the style of Chateau Grande was exactly what we were looking for - think traditional French architecture reimagined with clean and modern European design. The hotel was truly unique and unlike any other venue we found in the tri-state area.
But the biggest reason our wedding was such a success was EXECUTION - and that’s where Chateau Grande more than delivered.
We took the daunting task of being our own wedding planners. But working with Alisha, Director of Events, was a big reason why we pulled it off. Even after coming on board months after we signed on, she was able to pick things up quickly and help us right away. In the weeks ahead of our day, she committed to speaking with us regularly and gave us her time on evenings and weekends. She went above and beyond to give us time and space to rehearse and was a helpful hand during the ceremony and reception. Thank you, Alisha!
I don’t think the day of the wedding could have gone any smoother, so huge kudos to the staff. Our maitre’d, Neesh, must have years of experience because she was able to coordinate the servers, bartenders, and evening program without running into issues or breaking a sweat. Our bridal attendants, Phoebe and Kaitlin, were true rockstars - able to fulfill all of our requests, pay attention to details, and always think one step ahead. Phoebe/Kaitlin, thanks again for going above and beyond - we loved the cocktail hour sampler you fixed for us and appreciate you helping us take down our arch at the end!
The culinary team really hit it out of the park with the food. Days after the wedding our guests were still raving about what they ate. We got multiple comments on the maple-glazed bacon, brisket, and short rib. In our experience, it’s not often you remember what you ate at a wedding, but Chateau Grande left a lasting impression. We only regret not having more room to keep eating!
Holding a wedding at a hotel has its advantages, especially after a night full of food, drinks and dancing. Setting up a hotel block with Loretta was very straightforward and Alison was so helpful, giving personal attention to our guests in booking their rooms. Our friends and family loved the style, cleanliness, and spaciousness of their rooms. The bridal suite was unbelievable and we were impressed by how it was designed for every person who would set foot inside - comfy chairs, sofas, and communal tables for a bridesmaid party - makeup chairs, mirrors, and lighting for hair stylists and makeup artists - even a microwave for leftovers the morning after!
Last but not least, we are so grateful for GM Sam Calello, going out of his way to congratulate us. Thank you Sam for your hospitality and generosity! We applaud your leadership of such a talented, hard-working, and dedicated team. We are so happy to have partnered with you and wouldn’t hesitate to do so again in the future.
Our message to couples considering Chateau Grande: You will not be disappointed! Be a good partner to them and they will give you the wedding of your dreams and more!
We booked the Chateau Grande Hotel a few weeks after they had opened and had our wedding 11/21/21. From start to finish they made the whole process smooth, enjoyable, and were extremely flexible considering our hectic schedules. Alicia was an absolute pleasure to work with, and we can't even begin to express the rave reviews we have received from our family and friends. Having everything be in one location allowed for an easy morning to enjoy with family, the hotel is beautiful and the rooms are spacious. They worked so well with all our vendors and our wedding was a true dream come true. Its very rare that you can find a beautiful venue, great help and INCREDIBLE food but they nailed it! The portions were generous and the food was spot on, my husband is still talking about the chicken.
It is also so important to note just how amazing the team was there, they truly made our day so special. Major shout out to Alicia, Phoebe and Kaitlin on doing an incredible job.
Highly recommend having your wedding here.
We booked this venue in November 2020, with the space not even being completed. As with many places over the last year we experienced working with different employees and in the end everything turned out to be absolutely amazing. They truly do deliver on the day of your wedding so brides, have no fear! Also keep in mind when planning, your working with a venue that holds events every day of the week. Weddings or not, so imagine all the coordination that needs to be done on a daily basis. Everything is handled within the 60 days prior to your event. Alisha worked with us and delivered beyond our expectations leading up to our wedding. Allison truly is a breeze to work with in regards to your room blocks and even the bridal suite organization. The bridal attendants on the day of were extremely helpful. We had the absolute pleasure of working with Phoebe and Chelsea, they were both amazing. I can honestly say myself being the bride as well as the groom and families no one was stressed at all. We did hire a day of coordinator due to the amount of diy items we were including. Together she worked seamlessly with Alisha for prep on the day and vendor coordination- Jioia Events by Jojo on Instagram( coordinator) . Everything was just perfect. We have had guests raving about the food ever since the wedding! If your thinking about booking here just do it!
We had our wedding here on 11/6, one year after going on a hard hat tour. We booked this venue before it was even opened or finished- was I nervous? Yes. Was it worth it? Absolutely. It was beautiful. The hotel and wedding being in one location was great since many guests were from out of state. Me and my husband are from Florida, making planning hectic and crazy and calling for a LOT of late night emails between Alicia and I, she was already responsive. She helped me settle a lot of my nerves leading up to the big day and was a great help during the rehearsal dinner, and the next day. Honestly without her probably would have lost my mind.
The food- out of this world. People still talking about how good the mashed potatoes were & how amazing the French fry table was at the cocktail hour biggest hit.
The rooms- elegant and luxurious.
Ceremony space, quiet and perfect for our fall wedding.
Party space- big but not overwhelming, everything looked perfect in this room.
All staff was amazing- from people working at the actual restaurant bar that had to deal with my crazy friends during the after party- the front desk people that gave us multiple keys cause we kept losing them- the bridal attendants that kept me hydrated and held my dress up and didn’t judge me for yelling at my wedding party that morning- and especially Alicia for always being there when we needed her, answering every phone call and late night email and making our day super special!!
We booked the Chateau Grande Hotel a few weeks after they had opened and had our wedding 10/16/21. While they had a lot of turnover at first (like every industry during COVID!), they really pulled it together months leading up to the wedding, especially on the day. Elizabeth is a pleasure to work with & such a great asset to the team. The room blocks handled by Allison were a breeze, they are extra accommodating as things come up and provide great service. They work well with vendors behind the scenes so you don't have to worry. I know some reviews speak to the management prior to Elizabeth and the current team (i had a similar experience), but rest assured, the team they have now is A+++.
Down to the day; the venue did such an amazing job on the day. I had the most lovely day-of coordinator, Phoebe, who handled everything for me. I didn't have to think. All of the events ran smoothly, our guests and family couldn't have been more thrilled with the venue. The food is also OFF THE CHARTS. So many happy guests.
Also, the grounds are beautiful!! Highly recommend having your wedding here.
This place literally gave me agita for 10 months. The only reason why I gave this place two stars are for two people; Elizabeth and Phoebe.
If it wasn’t for meeting Elizabeth 4 weeks prior to my wedding, at the tasting non the less, I would have had not one ounce of hope for my wedding day at this venue. Let us rewind back 10 months when the planning had just begun. I was “working” with a woman, Inez, who did nothing but promise me everything that the Chateau Grande did not allow (found this out after she was fired).
Five months before my wedding, my parents were in town from Florida and wanted to see the venue and had a few questions they wanted to discuss in person at the venue. Since Inez was no longer there, I was passed on to Nora, who was the most unprofessional and third most unhelpful employee at this place. Not fully to Nora’s fault, but she was the one who told us all the of things Inez promised weren’t actually doable. Clearly upset and aggravated we continued questioning the sever disconnect— her most used response was “that’s above my pay grade”. And had the audacity to say she did us a favor by staying past her shift time to “answer” our questions.
I was then passed along to another unhelpful employee, Alisha. Alisha, who happens to be a manager, was supposed to make everything right and smooth things over. I was told I was going to have a face to face meeting with her and the GM, Sam, but settled for a zoom meeting, where Sam didn’t show up. Alisha promised she was going to work with us to make the day perfect. Sounded promising. She did nothing.
Four weeks prior to my wedding Alisha set up a tasting for me. She said she was not going to be at the hotel that date but there would be someone if we had any questions. As the food started coming out, I questioned the server what exactly it was that we were eating. She stated it was what we chose for our food. My heart dropped because we did no such thing. We weren’t even told to choose anything by Alisha. Luckily this is where Elizabeth came in (who truly deserves 10 stars) to save everything. Elizabeth pulled our chart, which was absolutely empty and sat with us for four hours that night building the perfect menu, collecting my vendor information, and running through everything. She was in touch with both me and my mom the last few weeks leading up to my wedding.
On the day of my wedding, still completely skeptical and upset by the venue, Elizabeth managed to reassure me. The bridal attendant, Phoebe, was beyond amazing. She was helpful, friendly, sweet, and on it when it came to fluffing my dress and straightening my vail. It was because of both Elizabeth and Phoebe that I felt at ease at my wedding.
It’s really is a shame that there is such a disconnect at this beautiful venue. Weddings are stressful to begin with and they just added to it up until the very end. I truly hope no one has to go through what I did with this venue.
My Husband and I got married at the Chateau Grande Hotel on July 05th, 2021 and we could have not been more pleased. The hotel is absolutely stunning. As an interior designer Decor is very important to me so I really wanted that guests coming to our wedding to have an experience from the time that they entered through the front door. As most couples engaged during the pandemic we had to push our wedding date back and we had a smaller wedding than what we originally imagined but the hotel lived up to the standards and more . Our point person Elizabeth was amazing. I literally spoke to her almost every day leading up to the wedding and she was so nice and so accommodating. We did a hotel room block for our out-of-town family everybody absolutely loved the accommodations. The food is amazing at the hotel . Our wedding food was so delicious we’re still getting messages about how great it was. I would encourage anyone getting married at the hotel to definitely book the bridal suite they are out of this world amazing. I also had the best bridal attendants ( Ashley & Phoebe) on our special day. If I could be relieve the day over and over again I truly would because it was that perfect. Thank you thank you thank you Chateau grande hotel and all of the wonderful staff that made our day so special.
When there’s good, there’s bad. I think it’s necessary to tell my story about my horrifying experience post wedding. So future brides and grooms would know what to do to avoid this. I had my wedding after party at Chateau grand hotel and stayed there the night before and after the wedding. It didn’t give a great vibe but it’s the only decent hotel in that area so we booked it. The experience didn’t turn out great, but I want to enjoy my big day, and not really focus on negativities such as noise issue( I was awake till 4 am before my wedding cause the next door partied till then), misbookings(people who got booking confirmation shown up without a room), and lack of services. What really throw me off is that I was going to take my 12k worth of flowers back to the bridal suite and eventually home post the after party, but the staff told me I can keep the flowers in the event room until the next morning when I check out. Not only me heard that, my bridesmaid also heard that and confirmed with them that we can keep the flower there. I also told them don’t let the guests take more than 60% of the flowers, cause I really adore those and will take them home. The next morning, after I checked out and went pick up my flowers, the hotel told me all flowers have been thrown out and smashed in the trash processors. Ironically, Instead of apologizing and trying to make up for the incident. They firmly stood on that the flowers supposed to be thrown out in the first place and they don’t hold any responsibility if guests leave anything behind. I have never felt so bad and hurtful trusting people and taking people’s words. Companies and people like that are the reason why trust is so hard to be build, especially in wedding industry. While I graving my loss, future brides and grooms be cautious about who you should trust. If you can, have everything in contracts. Working with the right people is everything. I know worst things could have happened to me. But it doesn’t make this loss any easier. I blame the hotel and myself trusting a trashy firm. At the end of the day, we are the one who’s going to bear all the good and bad from your choices. And you can’t turn the clock back.
I stayed at the Chateau Grande for 2 days due to wedding next door at Park Chateau. I worked with Inez for the hotel block and contact, and Alison for the booking of rooms. Inez was great to work with. There was specifics of the hotel block contact that I wanted to change, and Inez was very flexible with it. The rooms are modern, clean, and new! If your wedding is at Park Chateau, must book your hotel here! Its literally 200 ft away, so convenient for guests after a night of drinking. The hotel bar also closes at 2am when there is a wedding next door, so after party here! Tip: You are not allow to bring your own alcohol to drink in the lobby. They also mentioned the $15 parking fee per night. They comped me for me since I am the bride at the wedding next door, but just be aware of that. I do wish they told me of this beforehand.
After having to cancel our previous venue, the prospect of locating a new one seemed impossible. One final attempt circled me back to The Park Chateau Hotel, who were extremely kind, and recommended the amazing Chateau Grande Hotel. They gave me such hope that they would be able to accommodate us. After connecting with the incredible Sales Manager Inez Bennett who has been a GEM from beginning to end, as well as Sam, the Hotel Manager, our search was over! We said yes to the venue while still under construction. Yes, that took faith on our part, but the vision was clearly expressed, and we knew it would’ve been beautiful once completed. That’s how confident, and at home Sam and Inez made us feel. I even remember tearing upon seeing the finished bridal suite after our delicious menu tasting. Our expectations were more than exceeded. Inez’s kind, gentle spirit, and willingness to be there for us was a true gift. We are forever grateful to her for the role she played in ensuring our weddings’ huge success🙏🏽. You are a true professional. Chef Avila put us in culinary heaven during our tasting! Our guests raved about their meals for days!! Thank you for blessing our palates, and engaging us in such a warm and relatable manner. We are definitely coming back! To Chef David Burke, we are over the moon with the dining experience you’ve created. The Salt dining room is impressive, and it’s’ infusion throughout the restaurant is such a grounding element. We enjoyed every creative dish, and humbled to have had the honor of you gracing our wedding!🙏🏽☺️
We also are thankful to each member of staff at The Chateau Grande Hotel who catered to every need of ours, and our guests. We truly didn’t expect this level of incredible service. The attention to detail, and personalized attention truly warmed my heart. It was indeed a blessing, and we felt like royalty 👑. We would like to specially thank our bridal attendants Pat and Nora who made sure that EVERYTHING was taken care of. I mean EVERYTHING😃😃!! These angels were instrumental in getting our breakfasts/lunches, getting to rehearsals on time, getting dressed on time, buckling shoes, and zipping dresses. Pat even ran out to purchase cufflinks and handkerchiefs for men because of course, something was forgotten lol. From helping me getting into my gown, ensuring that I stayed hydrated and fed, for all the behind the scenes efforts, we cannot thank you enough for your excellence. To Lara, Cat and the many other amazing members of staff, please accept our heartfelt gratitude and a million thank yous!! Your efforts did not go unnoticed, and your warmth and professionalism has been greatly complimented. My husband and I are THRILLED to have been the first wedding at the gorgeous Chateau Grande Hotel❤️❤️❤️❤️. We wish you all the success 🥂🥂.
Love,
Steven & Carla Theophile
P.S Prospective couples and guests, go ahead and secure this venue!! You’re in for a refined, unpretentious and wonderful experience 👌🏾👌🏾!
The Chateau Grande Hotel may have just opened their doors a few months ago but they are working tirelessly to perfect their operation. The service we received was exceptional and the food for our pre and post wedding events (from David Burke) was delicious.
After having to postpone our big wedding celebration twice, we decided to proceed with a small and intimate ceremony followed by a dinner. Sight unseen, my mom contacted the newly opened Chateau Grande and worked with Inez Bennett to plan an amazing celebration in a very short timeframe. Inez was very patient and easy to work with. Inez, Nora and the entire staff could not have been more attentive to our needs and helped to make my day extraordinary. The food was delicious and plentiful. The chocolate fountain was the perfect ending to a perfect day. I am absolutely honored to say that I was one of the first brides to have my celebration at the Chateau Grande and Orchard Park. We can’t wait to enjoy their hospitality when we return for our large celebration.
