This is an amazing beautiful venue for a waterside wedding with amazing views. Brian Neal is great and an amazing coordinator on wedding day. The reception in the ballroom was outstanding, beautiful, great food and outstanding service. I highly recommend this venue for both your wedding and reception.
I had our wedding there on May 18th of this year.
I have a like/dislike relationship with this venue. We originally picked the venue due to location, the appearance/classyness of it, and the affordability. It wasn't dirt cheap but it wasn't the down payment for a house.
A few weeks before our wedding we went to the venue with our photographer for a walk through. Before this appointment, we had almost no issues at all with the venue. We are in the waiting area waiting for our photographer and we find out that someone (Y or Upper Management - I have heard different stories from her and Upper Management) that there will be a pool party the day of our wedding. I immediately have an internal panic attack. The pool parties that they are beginning to throw more often are not members only pool parties. From what I've seen I can almost compare them to the pool parties at Shepherd's. These pool parties are open to the public. That was not the vision we had for our wedding either. I immediately got upset with upper management while I was there. I was terrified that we would have to lose the deposit we put down and choose another venue because I refused to have the crowd those pool parties bring anywhere near my wedding. Someone tried to reason with me that it would be okay because our event would be inside and the party was outside. We booked with the venue LAST YEAR and felt we weren't being respected and taken care of. The former wedding coordinator sent me a rogue email after she was let go and informed me she had nothing to do with it. Others at the venue told me she had planned it herself. I was uncomfortable with the back and forth that I was witnessing.
The two stars I am giving is simply for Sylvia. If it wasn't for Sylvia I would have just given one star. Sylvia unfortunately had to come in and clean up everyone's mess. She called us to let us know that the pool party was cancelled. I was unsure about still having my wedding there but I eventually gave Sylvia the faith she had been asking for.
The day of the wedding: Everything was flowing smoothly until the reception. Unfortunately my Husband had invited 2 guests who left their class and respect at home that day. We asked for them to be removed. The decorator for the event asked them to go back to their seats and to conduct themselves appropriately. They did not. One of the employees at the venue asked them to leave after our dances and this is what I am upset about most. Instead of someone escorting them out (of course not physically), these guests were left unattended to approach my Husband, myself, and then my Husband again to confront us and spew profanities at us. We didn't dream of our guests acting like that at the wedding. We didn't think we would need to hire security or anything like that. I am more hurt that these women had the freedom to roam around and confront us and then get into a shouting match with me - instead of just being walked out by venue staff. I strongly suggest some kind of training is implemented for future weddings or events so this does not ruin someone else's reception.
Also - the ceremony room where we had our ceremony does need some updating. You can see on our professional pictures that there are mismatched patches on the wall and stains on the ceilings. It also would be nice for there to be complimentary snacks/drinks in the bridal suite. It's just my two cents.
The club itself was the perfect venue for our wedding. It is beautiful, spacious, and the food was excellent. The servers and bartenders were great as well.
Yvonne was very difficult to communicate with. Most of our communication took place through emails and that may have been my mistake. The emails I sent would often contain 2 + questions, the responses I received were often short and usually did not offer responses to each question. That was an issue that I could have gotten past. An issue that I could not get past is the table arrangements that had been set up incorrectly. Yvonne provided a table chart with corresponding table numbers when I asked. She then kindly provided another one when we had to reduce the number of tables needed. The second seating chart did not include numbers so I assigned the numbers myself based off of the original chart. I then sent the chart with corresponding table numbers back to Yvonne to ensure that we were following the same seating chart so that our family members would not end up sitting at tables other than those that we had assigned. Long story short, half of the tables were wrong at the reception. My husband's immediate family sat towards the back of the room instead of next to our sweetheart table where we had assigned them.
Yvonne never actually asked for the seating arrangements or for confirmation on the meals. I sent that information to her as soon as I had it all together (3-4 wks before the wedding) and Yvonne confirmed that she had received it within a day or two. It wasn't until the day before our wedding that Yvonne asked for me to send her how many of each meal was needed per table. This would not have been an issue if it had been even three days before the wedding. Instead, I was up late the night before our wedding going through each of our 21 tables and noting what how many of each meal was needed.
There were a few other little issues that I encountered that are not really worth mentioning. The reason I am leaving this review is that I would have wanted to know about some of the additional stressors that I would have to put up with when planning my wedding. I will say that Yvonne recommended a few of our other vendors and they were absolutely wonderful.
Once again, the club itself is a gorgeous wedding venue and I would recommend it for people who are not concerned about the issues I described above.
We are so happy with our how wedding reception turned out at the Club at Treasure Island! Yvonne was great with the whole wedding planning process and always responded quickly to any questions we had. She offered great suggestions and was so helpful with helping us pick out the food for our guests and offering recommendations to us of other vendors in the area such a DJ and florist. She knows what she is doing and you will not be disappointed! This venue is beautiful and our guests raved about how nice it was and how great the food was!
We had our wedding ceremony and reception at The Club and we were humbled by how we were fully welcomed as a gay couple by everyone at the venue. Yvonne helped us at every step, and the food, communication and small details I never thought of were amazing! I recommend The Club to any couple looking to have a tasteful wedding and work with friendly and knowledgeable professionals.
We had our wedding ceremony and reception here recently and could not have been happier with the experience! Yvonne really knows what she is doing and makes you feel that you are in good hands, no matter how stressful the wedding planning process may become. The venue was a beautiful backdrop for our wedding day, especially for our outdoor ceremony which overlooked the water. Our guests raved about the food and the service was excellent during the reception. Our wedding was absolutely magical thanks to the Club. Highly recommended!
My husband and I are so thrilled that we chose The Club at Treasure Island as our reception venue for our wedding day. Absolutely incredible from the moment we spoke to Yvonne about booking the venue, to the food tasting, to the details and planning, all the way to the very end of our night. First of all, the venue is beautiful! We wanted to be close to the water, but did not want a beachy wedding. This club had everything. Outstanding food choices by the chef, gorgeous views of the intercostal and many pretty boats for pictures. After the bridal party took pictures, they had a special room for us to stay in before we got announced at the reception with food and drinks for us to snack on and they also had a beautiful bridal suite for hold all of our things. They took care of the linens for the table, the entire set up and we even got our florist through their recommendation and she was fantastic! The cocktail hour was outside under a beautiful veranda by the water and the reception was inside in their ballroom. Yvonne is your go to for everything. She was so cool and calm, was up for anything you wanted to do for your day. The room looked amazing and everyone had such a fun time! Thanks to The Club, we had the wedding day we always dreamed of! Book this venue if you want your day to be perfect! Thank you!
Our daughter's wedding was on 3/25/17. The reception was fantastic. The food was amazing and it's a beautiful venue. Yvonne is a fabulous wedding coordinator and it was all perfect! Chef Paul did an awesome job with our food. Guests raved about it all!!! We are so grateful to the whole staff for making our wedding so special. This is the best venue ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've been to a wedding reception at The Club before, and having grown up on Treasure Island I knew this was the place we should have our reception. Initially, I tried to get a hold of Yvonne to book the Club, but she is a very hard lady to get a hold of sometimes (and is actually why I hired a wedding planner lol!). But once you do get a hold of her--she is fabulous to work with!! The food--oh my gosh, the food. We had a very big group (my parents, grooms parents, and my mom's twin sister with us) to do the food tasting--which had to be rescheduled, but because of that she went above and beyond in accommodating the big party. Once the cocktail hour got started (outside by the pool deck... amazing!!), it went very smoothly. Unfortunately, I didn't get to have any appetizers but I hear they were great. The dinner portion blew me away. I was starving by the time we sat down for our salad and I inhaled it because it was so good lol! Once our food came out, we were eating and the chef came to us personally to congratulate us and make sure we were satisfied. The ballroom we had our reception in was great--it comfortably held 140+ people. The room has balconies that people can go out on and look out at the water. Just overall, it's a beautiful spot to have a wedding. Yvonne was great and we were very impressed with the food and service. Highly recommend!
We had our wedding reception at The Club at Treasure Island and we could not have asked for a better venue. Yvonne is amazing and goes above and beyond to make sure that your wedding day is perfect, but also, to make sure that the bridal party is on schedule for all events during the ceremony. She even helped my family bustle my dress when the seamstress forgot to number it correctly - she is a LIFESAVER. Also, our guests complimented us on the food all night - the Chef and their team at The Club seriously left a positive lasting impression on everyone. As the bride, The Club's staff made sure that all my needs were met throughout the night and that includes making sure I had enough to eat - and they kept my champagne glass full all night. The Club also has a bridal suite so that the bridal party could land and relax after the ceremony for a few moments before the reception. From a photography standpoint, there are so many gorgeous photo ops that our photographers took advantage of, including sunset photos on the docks at The Club's marina. I highly recommend choosing The Club for your wedding reception - our guests were WOWED and the groom and I could not be more happy with our choice. It was magical.
Yvonne the wedding coordinator has been amazing with getting back to me with any and all questions and the yacht club has everything my fiancé and I were looking for!
I was pleased with The Club at Treasure Island as my wedding reception venue. We used their outdoor pool deck area for a wedding reception of 40 people, and it would have definitely been a better fit for a larger group. The food was very good - we did heavy hors d'ouvres and a pasta bar, which the guests were very satisfied with. The event coordinator - Yvonne - was away for the weekend of my event, but she was easy to deal with for the months of planning leading up to my wedding. I believe I recieved a good value, the alcohol was upgraded, and the staff working my event was great. As the weather in Florida can be - it started pouring, and we had to move the entire reception inside. The staff at The Club - even the Chef himself - helped with this process and we were able to use an empty ballroom inside. Although having my reception in a ballroom was a worst nightmare of mine - we were lucky to have this option, and glad to have been so well accomodated given the circumstances! We went back from brunch the next morning which was delicious as well.
The Club at TI is a great venue for approx 150-175 guests. It is beautifully decorated and the FOOD IS AMAZING. It was pleasure working with them throughout the process. Many different options to choose from. :) VERY pleased.
Yvonne was so helpful with everything that we needed. All the staff for our reception were so great they carried our food to just being happy to be there and helped out with what we needed. It is a beautiful place to have a reception and a great price.
