The Coonamessett

We got married at The Coonamessett in late September. The venue itself is really beautiful — the ballroom is gorgeous and the hotel rooms are lovely. We planned to get married in The Coonamessett’s outdoor ceremony site but had to move inside due to rain, and the team at The Coonamessett rearranged the room quickly and seamlessly at the last minute, which was a huge relief for us! The food was wonderful — our guests had only great things to say about it — and overall, the staff was accommodating and helpful during the set-up and into the evening. We worked with Dawn throughout the planning process, and she also assisted day-of. She was very calm and reassuring as we worked through every consideration leading up to the day. We sometimes had a little trouble getting in contact with the venue during the planning process, and during the ceremony and reception, coordination was a bit more hands-off than we expected. But overall our wedding went great and we had a lovely experience.

My husband and I got married at the Coonamessett this June. The entire Coonamessett team went above and beyond to make our wedding dreams come true! Dawn was exceptional and went out of her way to make sure we were taken care of. We decided to hold our wedding ceremony on the beach, and Dawn and team helped with logistics of the ceremony although this was far outside of their responsibilities. Our guests were raving about the location and the food and hospitality. Highly recommend the Coonamessett for your wedding! We wish we could do it all over again.

6/3/22 Fantastic! I wanted to acknowledge Dawn Copeland the Sales & Events Manager for her outstanding job! We came to her with a very last minute need of a venue to host my daughter and her fiancé‘s wedding. We had planned a beach wedding but had not planned in advance for such drastic change in weather. With only three days to the wedding, she came through and made my daughter, and her wife, two of the most happy people in the world. She was warm and welcoming, and put together a package for us that was outstanding! The room she had selected was perfect. She was gracious enough to let us bring in the girl’s wedding arch and decorations. In addition, she and her wonderful staff provided extraordinary customer service and rearranged the room from a ceremony to the cocktail hour and dancing. The hors d’oeuvres were absolutely delicious! I can’t say enough about Dawn she went above and beyond! She was so professional and had such a caring attitude with complete attention to detail. She made a “once in a lifetime” wedding just spectacular! If you want to have your wedding somewhere special, the Coonamessett Inn should be your number one choice! Carrie L

My husband and I had our wedding reception at the Coonamessett and it was just amazing! All our guests just couldn’t stop raving about the food stations we chose with our gold reception package. The Coonamessett is such a beautiful venue with all the picturesque windows, lighting, chandeliers and the view. Dawn Copeland and her team were so good to us and responsive throughout the whole process! I can’t say enough good things about them! I had a lot of family travel to Falmouth for the reception and just absolutely loved this venue! I highly recommend the Coonamessett and Dawn to anyone looking to book a venue for their big day! Best decision we could have made!

My husband and I got married at The Coonamessett two weeks ago (May 2023) and had the most incredible experience! From the moment we began working with the venue the hotel staff they were accommodating, flexible and just as excited as we were! We worked with Dawn Copeland for our wedding planning. Dawn was so much fun to work with and we felt so confident with Dawn leading the charge day of. Every crazy request or ask was received with a response that they would make it happen and they sure did! The venue was the perfect mix of casual elegance, which was exactly what we were looking for. I could go on and on about how incredible our experience was at The Coonamessett - they truly created the most magical day for us and ensured everything went perfectly!

My husband, our families, and I had an extremely positive experience working with John Norton, Executive Chef, and General Manager, and Dawn Copeland, Sales and Events Manager, at The Coonamessett for our April 2022 wedding. Once engaged, we reached out to Dawn via email to tour the venue and hear more about the logistics of having guests stay on the property for our wedding weekend. Summering in Falmouth, we already knew the food was exceptional from dining regularly at Eli’s Tavern. During our tour in May 2021, Dawn’s easygoing personality and helpfulness quickly shined as she answered our many questions about date availability, the Cape Cod Room space and logistics, the Banquet Menu options, room block specifics and minimums, and their preferred vendor's list. She was informative during the in-person tour and over email for follow-up questions. We valued and appreciated her insight and guidance regarding what she observed worked well for her couples. We toured many other Cape Cod wedding venues and knew The Coonamessett was the perfect location and space for our special day. After coordinating dates with one of the local churches, we quickly booked The Coonamessett as our wedding venue. We loved the stunning views from the deck, the spaciousness for dancing, and how the bar was in the same room. The windows and decor created a romantic vibe that felt just right for us and we were excited to dive into the planning process. Dawn set us up on the online PlanningPod system, which is where our contract, floor plan, and invoice lived, as well as where we paid our deposits. We went with the Gold Reception Package over the Plated Dinner Package and our guests enjoyed the abundance and variety of food options. We were consistently told how good the food was. Chef Norton is extremely talented and went above and beyond to make our vision a reality. My husband and I stayed in the Lark Suite for the weekend of our wedding and our bridal party and our parents stayed in the King Suites in the Village. The morning of the wedding, the girls got ready in the Double Queen Suite. This space was perfect for hair and makeup. We took pictures in the Lark Suite, which was stunning with the bay window and natural light coming in. My photographer was impressed with the space and very happy with how the pictures were coming out. Having loved ones and guests stay on site made it very convenient and stress-free for pictures and not worrying about transportation after the church. From start to finish, John, Dawn, and the entire Coonamessett staff were exceptional. They made our experience extremely positive and looking back we would do it all again on their stunning property. If you are considering The Coonamessett as your wedding venue there is no need to look any further!

We hosted our rehearsal dinner and welcome party in The Cape Cod Room at The Coonamessett. It was absolutely perfect! Dawn and her team set up half of the room for a sit down dinner for 44 people. The other side of the room had a collection of high cocktail tables that were utilized during the Welcome Party for ~135 people. The private bar worked out perfectly for our event. Could not recommend Coonamessett enough for a rehearsal dinner / welcome party combo!

I can not say enough about The Coonamessett! It was the only venue we looked at and we immediately knew it was where we wanted to have our wedding reception. Dawn and her team were incredible and made the entire planning process so easy! We were fortunate to have a gorgeous Fall day in October and the venue provided so many beautiful backdrops for our photos. We opted to do food stations (a unique option that The Coonamessett offers) and all of our guests RAVED about it!! The food was delicious and it allowed so much more time for dancing than a traditional plated dinner reception. And nobody left hungry! The convenience of having rooms onsite is a huge benefit. Our wedding party got ready onsite the morning of the wedding and the rooms were charming and very spacious! I would not change a thing about our wedding day. Highly recommend The Coonamessett!

We originally booked in 2018 for 2020, but obviously with the pandemic had to change our plans. Dawn and John were amazing. The Coonamessett was so supportive and worked with us for YEARS to have the event of our dreams! The food was perfect, the grounds were beautiful. The service was fantastic. If I could do it all again, I would.

We are so blessed to have had the opportunity to have our wedding at the Coonamessett. Dawn, John and Aryanne were absolutely wonderful to work with. They were so attentive, flexible, and fun throughout all of the wedding planning process. We (as a couple) had many different special requests and additions that the Cooney staff was able to honor to help make the day even more special. We got SO many compliments on the food, from the raw bar to the passed apps to the dinner itself - it was absolutely wonderful. We got married in late May, the ceremony site was beautiful this time of year, and their new chairs are gorgeous. The ceremony at the gazebo can be a little loud with the cards driving by. We truly had no complaints and everything ran extremely smoothly. Would do it all over again in a second!

We stayed in the Lark Suite for our wedding night, and the bridesmaids got ready here. Absolutely beautiful room and had a living area large enough for ~6 girls to get hair and makeup done.

Our wedding at the Coonamessett was above and beyond any expectations we had. We had a 200 person wedding where 70% of the guest were traveling from out-of-state. For many folks, it was their first time at the Cape. The accommodations are so modern and yet still the cape feel. We had guests staying at the Coonamessett from ages 6 to 83 and everyone was happy! Never mind how amazing the wedding was! The effort that Dawn and John put into our wedding was off the chart. A family Irish band on the deck with Guinness, a raw bar, tons of served apps. A 7-piece band (shout out to Big Party Orchestra) and plenty of room for guest to dance. Our guests are all raving about the food, it was delicious and beautifully served. Thank you to staff members, Mario, Trinity and Shovia too! Wonderful to our families and guests. Thank you to the entire Coonamessett staff for making our wedding a memory of a life-time.

We had such an amazing wedding reception at The Coonamessett. The Lark Suite was perfect to get ready in for my four person bridal party. The space is absolutely beautiful and the food was phenomenal. Best food we have ever had at a wedding and all our guests were raving about it. Dawn and her staff made sure we had a fantastic time and I couldn’t recommend this venue more!

We had a great experience with The Coonamessett. Their staff went above and beyond for our big day. Our family and friends still talk about what a wonderful time they had and how great the food was at our wedding. I would highly recommend them to anyone planning a wedding or event.

We are not sure if the character limit on this review will allow us to fully capture the amount of gratitude we have to Dawn, John & all of their staff at the Coonamessett for making our wedding weekend the dream we always hoped it would be. The entire process of planning our November 2021 wedding (originally scheduled for November 2020) could not have been made easier by this team. We booked in 2019 (with the old management, which, I’m not reviewing) and from the moment I called John to confirm our original contract I knew we were in good hands. When they tell you “just call me” they mean it, they’ll get back to you… even with the most ridiculous panicked questions while the world is in a state of unknown. If we knew back in 2019 what the last two years would be - we would do it all over again with Dawn and John. Having family & friends plan (and have awful experiences) with other venues in the area during the pandemic, we have felt nothing short of blessed to have chosen to have our wedding here. We hosted our ceremony, reception and day after brunch with the Coonamessett & had a lot of guests stay on site. Nothing about the entire weekend was short of incredible - the food, the staff, the rooms… Dawn brought our dreams and vision to reality - truly above and beyond. Dawn & John will always have a special place in our hearts for sticking through this process with us. The Coonamessett has always been special to us, but is even more so now. We will be planning trips back for years to come to visit our Coonamessett Family and to remember the best day of our lives. If you are second guessing choosing this venue, don’t. Go visit them & I promise you’ll feel the love and magic they have to offer, too.

We had the most amazing wedding at the Coonamessett! The staff was extremely easy to work with, the food was incredible, and the venue was stunning. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful wedding day for our winter wonderland wedding!

The Coonamessett really is a one-of-a-kind venue! Gorgeous ballroom, cozy hotel rooms, and an excellent location. We first saw it when I was on a work trip and knew that it was where we wanted to celebrate our wedding.

Working with Dawn and John was great. We fell in love with the space as soon as we walked in. So much so, we chose another room for our rehearsal dinner as well! To say the food was AMAZING was an understatment. We chose stations and there were so many options. One of the touches we loved was that we had our own personal servers. With everything going on it can make it difficult to get food and they brought everything over to us. Another thing is they have rooms right ok the premises and they are beautiful. Highly recommend.

I loved everything about our little reception at the Coonamesset! Dawn was so helpful to me. i was planning everything sight un seen from half way across the Country. She made it great and was super patient with all my questions and requests. The Garden room was perfect and the scenery was lovely for wedding pics. The waitstaff was friendly and accommodating to us and our guests. the food was yummy and there was plenty of it. Dawn even help me set up my little decorations and favors and take things down. Such a pro! We plan to return as often as we can for our Anniversary. We loved the Coonamesset for our little wedding!

We LOVED our wedding at the Coonamessett! We had to reschedule once due to COVID, and it could not have been easier. We mostly worked with Dawn and she was so friendly, honest and accommodating. She was very responsive to my many questions by email and phone. The rest of the staff was also so kind and professional as well. We had a wedding of almost 200 people, and everyone was served in a timely manner. The food was EXCELLENT - from the appetizers to the main course (prime rib and chicken saltimbocca). The reception room itself is gorgeous and the view of the pond was so serene. The outdoor deck attached to the reception room was awesome as well. We received so many compliments from guests, and everyone had a great time. We would 100% recommend the Coonamessett!

As most couples with a 2020 wedding, we were extremely nervous about having to reschedule our wedding for 2021, especially because we live out of state, but the Coonamessett staff made is so easy. From choosing a new date to navigating state mandates and guest counts, they were very knowledgeable and adaptable. We felt comfortable going ahead with a wedding reception (despite knowing how many guests we could have!) because of how they quickly they applied new protocols without sacrificing safety or the joyous atmosphere of a wedding. Even before COVID-19 changed our plans, Dawn and John were incredibly helpful and accommodating throughout the entire wedding planning process, down to the day of when I (the bride) was using Dawn's office as a changing room! Dawn and John, and the entire staff who helped with set up, food service, and bartending, were on top of everything and highly professional, and it showed - our guests couldn't stop complimenting the food setup, service, atmosphere, and the beauty of the venue. One of our external vendors said that this was the nicest and most professional staff he has ever worked with in his long career - we agree! If you are looking for a venue with staff that will make you feel less anxious during a hectic, but exciting time, and will be flexible and listen to your ideas, this is the place for you! We highly recommend the Coonamessett and we would choose to have our reception there again if we had to do it all over.

Dawn and John have been amazing to work with from day 1 of planning. We fell in love with the beautiful indoor space of the Coonamessett to host our large wedding for 2020, however, we decided to postpone due to COVID. Dawn and John made planning a breeze for our microwedding in 2021. We switched up the menu to accommodate a smaller guest list for this year, and the food was amazing. The prime rib and seafood sampler got rave reviews. We have a large amount of vegan and vegetarian friends, and the dish that John put together was incredible and so filling (miso glazed mushroom scallops, grilled eggplant and sweet corn risotto). The space, organization, servers, and food were incredible. Everyone at the Coonamessett made our microwedding feel like a full on reception even though it was so small! Dawn and John were so wonderful to work with and made planning a breeze. We had a beautiful evening out on the deck for our microwedding, and we can't wait to have our large reception with them next year. My husband and I can't recommend the Coonamessett highly enough!

We absolutely loved our wedding at the Coonamessett. It was a great price compared to other venues in the area. The hard wood floor was also one of a kind - everywhere else we looked had old, dirty looking carpet. Truly the room doesn't even need decorations in order to look wedding ready with the big windows and chandeliers. We had our ceremony on site in front of the gazebo as well and it was beautiful. The food was delicious and everything went well. We would definitely choose the Coonamessett over and over again.

We had the BEST experience getting married at the Coonamessett, and could not recommend it more highly. Dawn and the rest of the staff were extremely professional, helpful, and wonderful to work with. Everything could not have been more beautiful or gone more smoothly - and that is coming from someone who had to postpone their wedding twice! :) We booked the Gold Reception package in Jan. 2019, and the Coonamessett evolved a lot in the time from when we booked through when the wedding finally could happen in June 2021. I must say, it just keeps getting better. The facilities are gorgeous, everyone is so great to work with, and the food was delicious. We had the whole wedding party stay at the Inn for the weekend which added such a special element to the whole celebration (the rooms are amazing!). Everything from planning through execution was a perfect mix of professionalism and expertise, with a more laid back, authentic, and unique atmosphere than some wedding venues we had looked at that seem to churn out weddings as their main business - which was the perfect mix for us. We can't wait to go back to visit over the years.

Our third BEAUTIFUL wedding at The Coonamessett! Our three children had their wedding receptions at The Conamessett. As mother of the groom, I am so grateful to John, Trevor and Dawn and all the staff for their exceptional service. Even with COVID-19 restrictions, it was amazing! Very professional and well done, but I have seen this many, many times through the years from The Coonamessett. The food was excellent and the service was warm and wonderful. Looking forward to many more celebrations at The Coonamessett! Thank you for a beautiful day!

We were really interested in the venue, but have found it impossible to get in touch with the coordinator to schedule an onsite visit and lock down available date. The lack of communication has been frustrating.

We had our reception at the Coonamessett and cannot say enough wonderful things about it! The staff was great and helped us to have a fantastic wedding day! Everyone raved about the food and we greatly enjoyed the food stations! The venue itself is absolutely beautiful with fantastic views! We are so glad that we chose the Coonamessett for our wedding!

Loved the Inn since we first met with Jim for my daughter's wedding on NYE. Jim and his staff couldn't do enough for the bride and groom. Excellent food. They were very good answering our questions throughout the planning process. They are experienced pros.

We got married at the Connamessett Inn and also had our reception there. It was perfect! The day was beautiful, the gazebo was picture perfect along with the way they set up the reception call and adjacent deck. We have seen many friends use the photos from our weddings as their backdrops as the view over the pond is stellar. The staff tended to everything we needed and worked with all our venders perfectly. If you are looking for the best spot to have your wedding, this is it. Let them handle the details for you and just enjoy your day...that is what we did and it was amazing! The Coonamessett Inn in Falmouth was the perfect wedding venue. They are reasonably priced - especially compared to all of the other venues my husband and I explored on the Cape! We worked exclusively with Jim and Joanne, who made the wedding planning process seamless. (For the year before our wedding, I was planning from another state while finishing optometry school rotations.) Our family and friends were able to stay at the Coony or the Holiday Inn across the street, so we did not need to provide transportation to/from the venue. We were married outdoors at the gazebo overlooking the pond at sunset, which was gorgeous! Our cocktail hour was on the deck, and our reception was in the ballroom. The Inn comfortably fit our 150 guests. Everyone had such a wonderful time and commented on how incredible the food was. We chose the stations, which included a raw bar, meat carving station, pasta, clam chowder bar, quesadilla bar, and so much more! I could not have been more pleased with the food, ambiance, and overall service! Joanne helped me throughout the rehearsal night and day of the wedding, and she made my husband and I feel very comfortable. She always ensured we had food or a drink when needed. She was so helpful and kind, and she kept everything running smoothly and on time! Thanks, Coony staff! You made our day so special!

The Coonamessett Inn was THE BEST thing that happened to us for our New Year’s Eve wedding this past year. Originally, we were looking forward to a long engagement and a NYE 2017 wedding when we fell in love with the Coonamessett Inn. No other venue we looked at even compared. The massive windows, the tall ceilings with gorgeous chandeliers and an incredible view of the pond really made the venue magical. Unfortunately, NYE 2017 was already booked, but we loved the staff and the Coonamessett Inn so much, that we moved our wedding up an entire year so that we could still have a NYE wedding, but at the venue we couldn’t live without! The food is incredible. We even went there just for dinner throughout the wedding planning process, the food is so good! The staff is amazing. They were so accommodating on all of our requests and really knew how to make a wedding flow. On the big day, they were there with ANYTHING we needed – any questions or concerns they were there. Jim and his staff really made us feel comfortable and reduced stress levels throughout the whole process. The Inn itself had a great layout for our guests as well (highly conducive to an after-party!) We had all of the guesthouses for our guests and then were also able to use the hotel across the street, which really helps to cut down costs (no transportation!). If we had to have our wedding all over again, we would choose Coonamessett Inn every time because of how great an experience we had!!! Mike and Jenna

We had the best experience with the Coonamessett! We actually first stopped by last Christmas Eve to check out the venue, and from the start Jim was so friendly and helpful. Both Jim and Joanne were so patient with my husband and I, as well as our families. Jim helped my husband and I pick top choices for the food, and again sat down with my parents to ensure that everyone was happy with the menu. Planning the details was a breeze, no matter how nervous I got about the little details, the staff was there to put me at ease! It was great to have Jim and Joanne there for the rehearsal and day of-they made sure that everything went off without a hitch! Joanne even made sure to let us know right when each course of our food was served so we didn't miss any of the dinner. The food is delicious and so nicely presented, and our guests have commented on how friendly the waitstaff was. We got married in early December and the Inn was cheerfully and tastefully decorated; so many of our guests used pictures from the Inn as their Christmas cards :) It was the perfect cozy New England charm that we were looking for. We had a large guest list, so our guests filled up the Coonamessett Inn and the rest stayed right across the street at the Holiday Inn- a VERY walkable distance. It was so nice to save the $$ on transportation, and we didn't have to worry about anyone driving. My sister in law said it almost felt like summer camp to have all of your friends staying in these adorable cottages overlooking the pond! From beginning to end, we had such a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend!

My wedding was nothing short of perfect thanks to the talented staff at the Coonamessett Inn. Not a detail was missed, and the day was smooth and beautiful! The venue itself is stunning, with an amazing view over Jones Pond. The Inn itself held adorable cape style rooms, and an entire bridal cottage for my bridesmaids and I to get ready in the day of. The coordinator, Jim, did an amazing job with making sure everything went smoothly. All my emails and questions were answered quickly. We recently got married at the Coonamessett Inn (Memorial Day weekend; 5/28/16). The venue was perfect for our style, we wanted a Cape Cod wedding with a rustic twist (not nautical like many venues). Even though we had a smaller wedding size (100 guests) the room didn't seem large/empty. Jim and Jenna were super accommodating and attentive. Day prior to our wedding - I told Jenna how I envisioned the room to look with my decor and I knew she saw my vision. I left the decorating in her hands and she made the room look great (even offered to iron my burlap table runners!). The venue was beautiful, food was awesome (we did stations), service was outstanding, and the rooms are great! I would highly recommend the Coonamessett Inn for a wedding! The day was perfect!

Friendly staff and beautiful grounds. I have photographer quite a few wedding here and the will make a note that the food is great! They offer one of the best buffet style dinners I've ever seen. The room photographs nicely. Staff is well experienced and keep things running smoothly overtime. Great spot for charming Cape Cod wedding.

We had the best fall wedding at the Coonessett Inn. The staff was unbelievable. The food stations were excellent. I recommend any wedding here.

Full disclosure, when my husband and I got engaged this is the venue we immediately had in mind because his aunt got married there in 2007 in the Mermaid Room and his family couldn't say enough good things about it. That being said, I'm convinced we would have chosen this venue even if we went into the tour with no expectations. From the very moment we expressed interest in their venue the event coordinators went above and beyond to answer all our questions and make us feel welcome. Throughout the wedding planning process there was endless support and guidance. Every time my husband and I went in or called, coordinators remembered who we were and when our wedding was. For a venue that does weddings every weekend all year round, we found that very impressive. No question went unanswered and they were careful to arrange things exactly how we wanted them, down to the last detail. Our reception was in the Cape Cod Room which was by far one of the most beautiful venues we toured. On the day of the event the coordinators gave us guidance we needed to make sure we were stress free on our day. They brought us hors d'oeuvres and drinks outside while we were taking pictures, and during dinner they brought us food from all the stations. Given the fact we've heard from so many couples that they didn't get a chance to eat at their wedding we thought this was wonderful. The food was all amazing; all our guests were raving about the raw bar and the pasta stations. The drinks were delicious and they even went out and bought specific ingredients for our specialty cocktails. The bridal suite we stayed in was bigger than our first apartment, beautiful and clean. All in all, we can't say enough good things about this venue. Beautiful, very helpful, and very affordable considering it's on Cape Cod.

We had our outdoor ceremony and indoor reception at the Coonamessett Inn. We dealt with Jim for most of our questions (overlay colors, menu, bar selection) and Joanne for most of the finer details (rehearsal, set up, and the general flow of the wedding). Jim is very nice and was great at answering questions and getting us what we wanted. Instead of having two separate chairs for my husband and I, we requested a high back love seat from the attached restaurant and Jim made it happen. Joanne was also nice but very pushy and tried forcing herself onto some decisions we wanted to make. Although some stuff she was pushy about (like putting the favors on the dinner table rather than having a separate table for favors to save space) did make more sense, there were times when I wanted her to just back up for two seconds and let me/us breathe. And when I requested something to be done and/or placed somewhere in the banquet room, my husband and bridesmaids had to go downstairs and do it because some requests got overlooked or ignored by Joanne and her staff. The one thing that upset me (and my mom) was the fact that I disclosed to the Coonamessett that my father passed away just months before my wedding and during the rehearsal Joanne came out and asked if "dad was gonna walk me". You would think they would write it big on the folder or remember such a sensative detail not to upset the bride or family, which it did. And I don't know exactly who, but we had some issues with making changes with the receptionists that work there. They didn't send emails when asked, and we had to call 4x to correct our guest count because they kept messing up. Other than those hiccups, the Coonamessett is a beautiful place to have a wedding. They are open to any decorations and ideas, as long as they don't damage anything of course. The scenery is perfect - large windows overlooking a pond and the gazebo with lots of greenery. We did the gold reception which is stations opposed to a sit down dinner, which was amazing. The food was absolutely fantastic. Everyone made comments on how good the food was and how cool/different the stations were. We also did a morning after breakfast at the Coonamessett which was equally as delicious as the wedding reception food. Lastly, you are contracted to a bakery when you book the Coonamessett, named the Casual Gourmet. They are just decent with designs. We weren't thrilled with the cake design. BUT they have very tasty frostings, cake, and fillings.

My husband and I LOVED The Coonamessett, as well as our guests. The room is gorgeous and the staff is incredible. Working with the managers was so easy, they answered every question without hesitation and helped every where they could. We chose to do the "Gold Reception" which is the stations dinner. I cannot tell you how many compliments we got on it. From the quality of the food, to the amount. No one left hungry and there was something to everyone's liking.

They really pulled off a great wedding that everyone loved, I do have a few small complaints though. I thought their communication was a little lack-luster. First, when we looked at the venue one consultant showed us around and we were under the impression that was who we'd be dealing with. The weekend of the wedding he was no where to be found. There were two other consultants we dealt with who were fine, but we had really fallen in love with the first one, so were disappointed. Second, I had asked a couple times how late the bar there was open on Friday nights, so the bridal party could hang out there after the rehearsal dinner. I was told twice that it would stay open if there were people there(I assumed that meant until Mass law allowed, midnight I think?), but when we got there on Friday night the bartender wasn't friendly, the grooms father gave her a $100 tip to stay open. Then she kicked us out at 11. She also made me (the bride) go back to my room to get my ID. I understand that bars have to card, but in my opinion, the weekend staff should at least know who the bride and groom are and treat them accordingly. After all, we were spending thousands of dollars there that weekend. If you're looking to have fun the night before, I suggest heading over to the hotel across the street. They were more than happy to make some money off of us. The last communication problem was that at the end of the wedding night we had one person telling us we had to pack up and take everything we didn't want thrown away. And another person telling us it was okay to leave it and get it in the morning. Which ever one was right, maybe we should have been told that before midnight? The only other thing was that we did the gold reception, so there were no settings on the tables. They looked super bare! If I had known that I probably would have done something more with centerpieces. I'm probably the only person who even noticed it though. Besides those things, everything was great. The food was awesome. The price was reasonable. The rooms were great. We used the DJ, justice of the peace and cake bakery that they recommended and were not disappointed. If I could do it all over again I would definitely have it here.

My husband and I got married on Sept. 14 and had our reception at the Coonamessett Inn. We were planning from San Diego, and we had a couple snags in the beginning. The Inn allows you to have your ceremony there for $500 and they have a gorgeous gazebo. I paid my deposit for both ceremony & reception and specified the smaller Mermaid Room (we had a small, 40 person event) AND the gazebo. 6 months later, we go to visit and are told we can't have the gazebo b/c it goes with the much larger, more expensive room. UGH! (No worries, we found a great ceremony space). But, that was really the only thing. The Gold Reception meal is fabulous! A variety of stations (including a raw bar!) with great food. Joanne assisted me on the day of the wedding, setting up the room the way I wanted, and during photos she made sure we had a drink and some appetizers and she served us our food and made us eat (Thank you! I wouldn't have otherwise!) The grounds were beautiful, the food was great (only $65/person! Definitely affordable!) and the day-of service was great. Just make sure (no matter where you go) that you find out exactly what is included with your venue/package and if you want something different, get the change in writing (otherwise, busy venue operators may forget they said something to you and there's not much you can do after that). Overall, have your wedding (or other dinner event) here! It was absolutely charming and wonderful!

My husband and I cannot thank the Coonamessett enough for our wedding reception and the outstanding service. The staff exceeded our expectations as well as the accommodations. 3 months after our wedding, our guests still give compliments. We live out of state and were unable to have the most hands on experience, as some couples might have and the food was outstanding as well as the service that was promised. We are truly grateful.

I had my wedding here July 2013 and it was just amazing. They were organized, flexible, attentive, and friendly. They even gave us a refund because we overpaid. I'd recommend this place everyday!

Everything about the inn was great. We didn't have the ceremony there but did an evening reception and my husband and I stayed there that night. The food was so good and everyone was incredibly accommodating. Would recommend them to anyone! They were really focused on making the day very special and not stressful.

The coonamessett inn was a wonderful place to have my wedding! Brad and Jim are so great to work with and made me feel so relaxed about everything. I felt like I was in great hands. The waitstaff did a terrific job making sure that my husband and I ate, drank, and kept us updated on when each thing such as cutting the cake and bouquet toss would take place. Our pictures that we took on the grounds came out gorgeous. Everyone that came to my wedding was able to stay at the coonamessett in. So the party kept going all night. The guests raved about the food and everyone had a fantastic time!

Jim, Brad and rest of the staff ensured my husband and I and all the wedding guests were attended to for special dietary requests. we appreciated that they saved food for use when were were taking pictures and when we returned from taking pictures off-site. Brad was a classmate, so it was great to have someone I knew to assist with details that I had left for the last minute. It was great that my venue and my DJ, Keith Lemire had worked many weddings together. I selected the buffet which was great and they ensured that there was always food and drinks available for my guests. Our wedding was during the day, so we held our wedding ceremony outside on the deck. we had the ceremony at 11AM, so it was cold for some of my west coast guests. It was a beautiful fall day for me, but I wish possibly a couple portable heaters were available for my guests especially for the half of the deck that was in the shade. The staff and service was great. The venue is a great value for view, food, drinks and function room. I have attended a couple of weddings at this venue and glad that we decided to have our wedding there.

I am beyond thrilled that we chose to have our reception at The Coonamessett Inn. Jim and the rest of the staff truly went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect. They made us feel like royalty. We had the Gold package which was the stations. We had so many people telling us the food was delicious and they couldn't believe how much there was. The decorations were up for Christmas and let me tell you..The place was absolutely gorgeous!

I am SOOO happy that we had our wedding at the Coonamessett Inn! It really has everything - amazing and friendly staff (Brad and Jim were awesome to work with), New England charm, amazing food, a beautiful gazebo and pond outside, spacious guest accommodations, beautiful lighting in the reception room... I could go on and on! So many people came up to my husband and I and said that it was the best wedding they'd ever been to and the best food they had ever had at a wedding. The day could not have been better, and I can't wait to go back there in the future for anniversaries or special occasions. :-)

I had my wedding at The Coonamessett Inn in Falmouth, Ma and they did an absolutely amazing job with everything. Our entire wedding party stayed the whole weekend of my weeding right there at the inn and the rooms were adorable, they were a great size, clean and well kept. The entire staff was so welcoming and accommodating through the whole planning process and they truly made the planning process as well as my wedding day special. From the minute I got out of the limo from my ceremony there were two bridal attendants there waiting for me to help freshen up, bustle my dress and even had a drink waiting for me. They took great care of myself and my new husband during our entire reception. They backed all of our decorations and cake up for us and even had my left over dinner delivered to my room for later. I would suggest this place to everyone and will definitely hold future events there.
