hat could have everything, ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all in one place without having to flip a space during the wedding. We had our ceremony on the top deck, cocktail hour on the patio, and our reception inside. It was absolutely beautiful! We honestly didn't have a lot of extra decor because the venue is just stunning. The bridal suite alone is just the best place to get ready for your wedding! It's huge and beautiful and has several vanity mirror stations and a full closet where everyone can hang up their dresses and we had plenty of space to be able to all get ready and have a wonderful morning before the ceremony. Everyone who we worked with was great with communication, happy to be there, and did everything they could to make our day go by smoothly and exactly how we wanted it. Our day of coordinator, Starr, was absolutely amazing! The bartenders were fantastic. Very, very well run wedding venue that makes you feel special and goes above and beyond to make your wedding day happen!

They really went above and beyond to make our wedding day special, from going out of their way to buy peach juice (for the getting-ready mimosa bar) and seltzers for the reception. Our guests commented to us several times that this was the most unique and beautiful venue that they have ever been to for a wedding, and we agree! We would recommend this venue again and again and are so happy that we were able to have our wedding here.

to have the ceremony and reception just a few steps away from each other. There is also a beautiful view of historic downtown Acworth that makes for great photos. Amanda and the rest of the team were so great to work with and I was completely stress free on my wedding day thanks to my awesome wedding day coordinator Allie. Highly recommend this venue!

my big day, but the Mill is so beautiful and creates such a great back drop for your flowers that when I saw the venue the day of my wedding I was BLOWN AWAY! The Bridal Suite is large with plenty of room and its own bathroom, the Groom Suite is stocked with necessities (i.e. beer) and was a great place for them to get ready. Every interaction we had with Amanda ( the day of coordinator) leading up to the event was perfect. I dont think our wedding would have been as magical if we had gotten married anywhere else.

for some awesome pictures. The bridal suite is large and oh so nice. We had around 135 people and a large dance floor with a 5 piece band. Everyone had space throughout the venue but also could mingle in the main room to dance. The property General Manager, Amanda, is hands down so easy to work with and lifts any of those wedding stresses away. We got married on the upper porch. It was perfect. I do wish I had added on the a la carte hanging curtains to add more romance and intimacy. So consider that add on if that is something you’re looking for. There is an all inclusive package but we opted for the a la carte. The Cowan has some great preferred vendors for only being two years old. We used Natalie Durham Events for floral and Chef Cary’s for catering from their list. I highly recommend you make a tour to see the venue!

engaged in December 2020 and were committed to a wedding within a year despite being in the midst of the pandemic. Safety was a priority but we did not want to cut corners on elegance or fun. The Cowan Mill delivered on this and more. We looked at about a half dozen other venues prior to scheduling a walk-through with Amanda. We knew from our first look that this venue was different than others we had seen. The place is nothing short of magical with the original rafters and stone walls, high ceilings, gorgeous chandelier, grooms room and bridal suite which is the gold standard for what they should be. You feel like you are in a castle. Although the venue houses up to 200, our party of 40 still had an intimate experience as the main room housed our ceremony and reception, flipped within minutes while our guests enjoyed a cocktail hour on the covered patio. Group pictures and our "first look" were shot on the second floor patio in front of flowing white drapes. During the reception, the guests could easily flow from the dancing area to the food area, bar and memory table provided by the venue, all while looking out at this picturesque historical town. Our photographer snapped spectacular pictures in and around the venue. The Acworth historical buildings, footbridge and nearby park served as the perfect backdrop for our bride and groom portraits with the Mill coming through again with a golf cart that rode us around town. Her recommended vendors were fabulous, especially Adriane who provided the most delicious food and our DJ Estebon from Dr Dre 800 Media Group kept the energy flowing and even taught our guests some dance moves. Amanda was most helpful despite delivering her second baby a few months after we booked. She did not miss a beat. Starr Lowe stepped in about a month before our wedding and quickly showed us that we should have hired her from the beginning. Her enthusiasm, vision, professional connections and assistant Meagan pulled everything together and quickly smoothed out the inevitable last minute glitches. Several of our guests commented that our wedding was the best they had ever been to and we attribute this mainly to The Cowan Mill and the great team they assembled.

professional. The entire space is presented in the most beautifully intimate way. The package options provided made for a more simple planning process than I expected. The vendors the venue has assembled are quality, seasoned event specialist. The venue staff are well trained for high end hospitality service and well trained to handle unexpected situations. The Cowan staff and vendors planned every detail, from parking to ‘crowd control.’ The entire evening was orchestrated so that every need was anticipated and met. Thank you, thank you, thank you for all the wonderful memories.

I will tell you about Amanda. We had visited other venues and had been greeted professionally. No complaints, really. But from the beginning, Amanda started asking questions about what we wanted, what we liked and didn’t like. She was deeply invested in discovering our vision and how she could make happen everything that we wanted. Her sincerity and kindness set her apart from everyone else. She was the consummate professional, and just an awesome person overall. After we booked the venue, she responded quickly to telephone calls and text messages and emails. She answered all questions with expertise and grace. Now, let's talk about the venue. The Cowan Historic Mill is in the perfect location, with generous parking on the lot and across the street. The building retains its historic charm with its dark hardwood flooring, exposed brick walls, and high ceilings. The massive, gorgeous chandelier and the elegant furnishings make this place a showstopper. The building is expansive and able to accommodate guests and vendors without feeling cramped. There is also plenty of outdoor seating to help guests spread out even more if needed. The outdoor deck is large and beautiful and provided the perfect setting for our ceremony. And the area for the bridal party to get ready! Oh my goodness! It is impressive, to say the least. It is beautifully decorated with large mirrors and beautiful furnishings and accessories. There are a generous number of stations for the bridal party to do make-up and hair and get dressed. I'm almost done, I promise. Finally, I will tell you about the wedding day. EVERYTHING was amazing. Amanda and Allie took care of us, our guests, and the vendors. They were present throughout the day to ensure that things ran smoothly and on schedule. They interacted with our wedding guests and made everyone feel welcome. It was a perfect day. My advice: Look here first and don't look anywhere else. Use the vendors on their preferred vendor list. They have assembled a select group of professionals to handle everything from catering to providing DJ services. Their preferred vendors meet and exceed their high standards. Can you tell that I highly, highly, highly recommend The Cowan Historic Mill?

From the first time we visited, Amanda instilled in us the utmost confidence that she would be able to help us achieve our dream - even during the pandemic. We wanted to implement a lot of unique touches for our wedding to make it extremely personal and Amanda helped make every one happen. The venue offers a fantastic value for the size of the space and the versatility of the different areas at the venue. Cowan has excellent facilities to accommodate your catering, indoor and outdoor bar options, and the completely unique space in the interior of the mill. We had our ceremony and reception in the main room and it suited our smaller wedding size perfectly. We comfortably sat 60 guests as well as having a full band in the main room of the Mill. Cowan was absolutely perfect for us and we couldn't possibly recommend it any higher!

In addition to the incredible venue, the Marcy family are the absolute best. Every single need/accommodation/request was exceeded, with the most wonderful hospitality. ve the reception space, my husband and I both knew that we needed to get married at this location. Even though The Cowan was a new venue, Amanda made us feel 100% comfortable with our decision to book with them. She has so much experience, and it shows through all of the work that she does. She was on top of everything and all of the staff provided us with a completely stress free wedding day. They even had someone come out to live stream our ceremony on zoom for all of our family and friends who weren't able to attend in person. The venue itself is historical and every detail is beautiful (there is no doubt that your wedding photos will be stunning). It doesn't take much to dress up the space with some flowers and candles to make it look like the wedding of your dreams. The layout of the entire space is perfect too and will work well with any vision that you have for your special day! We highly recommend this venue space for any event that you are thinking of hosting.

is gorgeous...a lovely mix of old and new. It also has spacious dedicated areas for not only the bride and bridesmaids to get ready but also a great space for the groom and groomsmen. In addition, they now have a two level outdoor covered area for receptions, cocktail hr or even the ceremony. Amanda has a real eye for detail and truly cares about our speical day. She even planned to drive us around on the wedding day to some secret spots around town that make beautiful photo backdrops. After much research I can truly say Cowan Mill is perfect.

worked so hard to make sure we had the most perfect day. And it was perfect! The venue is beautifully rustic and industrial, perfect for the bride and groom who want something different from the typical barnyard wedding. The original exposed brick is amazingly contrasted by the stunning three tiered chandelier in the ceremony space. The entire venue is beautiful, and is also in the center of historic downtown Acworth, which makes for great pictures!! Amanda worked diligently with my fiancé and I, asking all the right questions to make sure that our wedding day was everything we had dreamed about it. If we had to do it all over again, we would go back to The Cowan in a heartbeat.

months and finally! It’s so perfect. The dreamiest chandelier, most beautiful bridal suite you’ve ever seen (a makeup artists dream ;) ) an amazing grooms suite and a gorgeous bar. It’s all just phenomenal. The owners and staff were so wonderful and really made us feel so at peace with every decision we had to make. Stress was out the door! Amanda made everything stress free and easy, and she is seriously one of the sweetest humans ever. I am so thankful that we found this perfect place to become husband and wife. Our wedding flowed seamlessly, and every aspect was absolutely the most perfect thing EVER! I cannot give enough praise to this place and it’s people. They are truly blessed to run such an enchanting place, and we were so thankful for their kindness and care on our day. Simply amazing. If you want a great team and a beautiful venue, choose the Cowan.
