We chose this venue because we really liked the wedding setup. We were to have the ceremony in the Pavilion garden, cocktail hour on the Center deck and reception inside of the Center. Unfortunately, it did rain on our wedding. Thankfully, the backup ceremony space inside the Center made for a beautiful, cozy and romantic hideaway from the rain. We were told the day before that the cocktail hour could still be on the deck as it is covered but on the wedding day, guest were told they could not go outside. The rain had ended and the deck was prime for photos so I am unsure why that happened. Everyone instead was crammed inside around the bar and this is where a server spilled a tray of wine on a guest. During dinner, we noticed that the plate of food was different than what we selected. We had extensive conversations about the food as we did not enjoy most of the options. This is another con of the venue; they require that we use their own catering company. We had multiple tastings, which we had to pay for and were discouraged for scheduling more than one. We still weren't happy with the food but we detailed the wants and suggestions to the sales team that ensured us the kitchen could pull it off. With the food on the wedding day being different than what we planned, this showed us that the sales team and the catering team are very disconnected. The worst part of this is that the meal had nuts in it and there were guests with a nut allergy. I provided a very specific allergy listing with the seating chart but the service team failed to execute. Ultimately, there were guests that did not eat at my wedding. All of the months of planning were solely with the sales team but the sales team is not there on wedding day. Many things that they ensured would happen or raved is great was not accurate. The dinner took almost twice as long as planned with servers confused as they went to tables and only bringing out two plates at a time. Because of the number of guests we had, we were required to serve the same meal to everyone (except for dietary needs) so it was confusing why dinner took so long. Lastly, we were required to pay for a wedding attendant but ours left halfway through the night. There was supposedly another staff person to fill in (who we also paid for) but I was never shown/introduced to this person.
The venue has stunning views and this is why we chose it but I would not recommend for a wedding. I informed the venue of my feedback, was told they would get back to me but it has been a month.
The Crest Pavilion is an absolutely beautiful venue with excellent staff. Our guests spoke highly of the food and beautiful scenery. Thanks to Tammy, Cloie, and the team's hard work everything ran smoothly. You can tell they do this all the time which helped us a lot as we decided to forgo a wedding planner. Extremely professional and organized. Highly recommend The Crest for a wedding.
Everything about The Crest Center and Pavillion is absolutely amazing. The views are gorgeous. The staff was incredible to work with. They guided us every step of the way and helped to make our big day special. The food was delicious. The entire staff went above and beyond our expectations.
The Crest Center really delivered for our wedding. I can't believe how easy they were to work with, and I am so grateful for their whole team. Our guest count fluctuated a LOT in the last week before the wedding, details just kept changing on our end, and so many things felt like they were up in the air, but the Crest Center staff, especially Cloie, just rolled with it. They were all so flexible, friendly, helpful, and kind. I think the beauty of the venue speaks for itself. We barely had to decorate because it's so beautiful on its own. I will treasure the pictures we captured there forever. The food was delicious (everyone raved about the delicious chicken!), and the drinks were great. The serving staff was friendly, and everything was better than I could have imagined. Thank you, Crest Center and Pavilion for making our wedding day perfect.
My daughter's wedding was everything I had hoped and more. The service, food and support were all outstanding. I would highly recommend M7 Event Solutions.
We had our wedding at the Crest Center and overall had a mostly positive experience. We have wonderful memories from our wedding that we will cherish for a lifetime. The primary sales team- Amy, Cloie, and Molly were patient and responsive with all of my questions. They were flexible with some last minute changes or additions to our contract and plan. They kept us within budget and helped us make realistic decisions on what was worth spending our money on, which was wonderful. We appreciated being able to do so many things directly with them including renting chairs and linens if you didn't want to us their house ones, catering, and connecting with preferred and suggested vendors. The photographer they recommended was one of the best decisions we made! The view was spectacular and the sunset was incredible- being able to see that on the deck both during our ceremony and throughout the reception with the huge bay windows was awesome. The food was amazing!! Many people complemented both the food and the view to us, talking about the beauty of the venue and how they enjoyed being on the deck to soak in that sunset and the cooler air once the sun went down. The overall cost for the venue, open bar, and food was very reasonable, which is hard to find. The location to downtown Asheville and only being 10-12 minutes away is awesome as many other venues with this type of view are further out, at least 30 minutes or more. This eased some logistics for our guests. Leslie was also a wonderful day of wedding coordinator- very patient (especially with a Type A planner like myself!), thorough, constantly checking in on us and calm. Alana was helpful too as the event manager! We had a guest count of 135 and it felt comfortable, so if you have more than this, I would consider the Pavillion or elsewhere as the space would be cramped.
The bar staff and servers were also awesome. Since our wedding was on a Sun, we were allowed to have our family pack up the decor and leave it at the venue for us to come get the next day, which created a huge relief. We also got to bring our decor with us when we had our planning meeting and rehearsal Sat morning which was a huge help and got to see/make some last minute changes for our set up. This isn't always the case there, but we appreciated this a lot!
The reason why we can't give Crest Center a full 5 star review was for a few reasons (which we provided this feedback to Crest and they were receptive):
They need to find a better way to cool down the Center when there is a bright sun hitting the bay windows and the temperatures are higher during the summer months as the buildings AC unit can't seem to keep up. One of the reasons why we chose the Center over their other venue the Pavillion was we were informed that there was central AC available, but it didn't seem to work well with the heat from the sun. I definitely wanted sunshine on our wedding day and we got it, just really hot and bright! The staff provided two large fans that provided some relief, but we could have used more to put throughout the room. The heat dampened the vibe of our evening and made it difficult for some guests to tolerate especially on the dance floor, which was disappointing.
There were a few logistical things that came up including a side door being locked throughout part of the evening which caused some folks to be locked out at time (easily fixed, but still frustrating) and talking to various folks throughout the planning process with the sales team and making sure all was communicated clearly with our day of team, which created some added stress. It would have been helpful to have one set person to communicate with throughout the entire process.
The dance floor is smaller (15x15.) It was too expensive to upgrade to the only other option of 16x20.
Last, the main parking lot behind the building would benefit from some extra lighting at night to help guests as they leave to get to their cars. It was fairly dark around the corner where the walkway was to the parking lot and created a safety hazard for a family member.
When we decided to get married in Asheville, we knew we wanted a venue that captured the spirit of Asheville. We checked out several venues, but just weren't feeling the connection. That is, until we discovered The Crest Center and Pavilion! We had our ceremony behind the pavilion, overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains. Inside the pavilion made for a beautiful reception space! Also, the appetizers and entrees were absolutely delicious - we're still getting complements on our food 6 months later!
The only reasons we didn't give Crest a 5-star review related to some of the inflexibility around timing of things. We were told that we would be unable to have a rehearsal onsite the night before due to an event, but when we dropped something off at the venue the night before there was no event occurring. On the wedding day, our vendors only had access to the venue a few hours beforehand, which led to some things feeling/seeming rushed.
All in all, we had a great experience with Crest. We would have just appreciated a bit more flexibility with the timing of certain things.
Our wedding could not have been more magical, whimsical and relaxed. This was in no small part thanks to the amazing team at this venue. From the very beginning we could tell the team was very nice, professional and experienced. The venue it self is stunning. From the backdrop at the ceremony, the large deck at the crest center and beautiful pavilion with already in place lights, floor to ceiling glass windows that can be pushed back to the terrace with the stone fireplace.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I had my wedding in late September 2022 at The Crest Pavilion, and I am so grateful I found this venue. Every single staff member is as kind as can be. I had countless questions throughout the planning process, and Cloie was so sweet, patient, and understanding. From when we took our tour with Amy to the day after, I was the happiest bride ever. My bridal attendants were Molly & Leslie, and they were absolutely fantastic. They made sure everything was how we wanted and were quick and happy to adapt to anything that needed to be changed. They were great at rehearsal walking everyone through their roles, and even better on the day of. I felt extremely taken care of by the whole team and eternally grateful for the staff. I booked many of my vendors through Amy's recommendations, and every single one was fantastic! Everyone I spoke to, including myself, thought the food was amazing. I wish I could get married over and over again at The Crest.
We can't speak highly enough of the Crest Center and Pavilion! We toured both event spaces, and ultimately fell in love with the Crest Pavilion. The ceremony space on the lawn and the amazing stone terrace offered perfect mountain views and plenty of outdoor space, which was important to us. With our wedding being in the beginning of summer, we were lucky to enjoy the beautiful flowers in bloom in the surrounding gardens, which was a bonus! Inside the Pavilion the high-domed ceiling and thousands of twinkle lights added to the aesthetic we were looking for. Also, the food was delicious, and we loved the fact that food and the bar bill was included in the overall price.
The staff is also simply amazing. They were upfront with us about all costs, took the time to provide extensive details about all the ways we could make our day perfect. The whole team was extremely helpful in answering all our questions leading up to the big day. The best part was on the day of the wedding, we had two awesome bridal attendants (day-of coordinators) on staff to make sure everything was perfect, which it was! We want to go back and do it all over again!
We had an amazing experience working with the Crest. They were extremely responsive and helpful throughout the whole process. It was wonderful to know we were in such good hands. The bridal attendants Leslie and Fasetta were amazing. Leslie was so on top of all of the details and extremely helpful in keeping us on the timeline without being pushy at all! The venue itself – the Pavilion – was gorgeous. The inside is beautiful by itself and when you add in a few flowers and décor, it is stunning. The view outside is everything. The mountains were an amazing backdrop to our ceremony! We are so happy with had our wedding at the Crest Pavilion and we can’t thank the team there enough for making our big day even better!!
We just had the best wedding experience with the Crest Center! All of the staff was amazing to start to finish. We chose the venue in 2019 and had to reschedule our wedding to 2021 due Covid. They worked with us to navigate all of the changes and make it as less stressful as possible to find an alternative date.
The Crest Center staff always checked in and were organized in everything. I planned my own wedding from out of town and they were super helpful in guiding me along the way to make it an smooth experience. They were ALWAYS pleasant and excited for us.
The wedding day went smoothly and perfectly! We got married on a Friday so for the rehearsal we were allowed to set up our stuff for the wedding after our meeting and let me tell you how much of a weight that took of a bride’s shoulders! They were so accommodating in letting us get our stuff together as much as possible.
The views were why we choose this venue. It showed off for us the day of the wedding! We had the most amazing sunset during our first dance. Everything was like a beautiful dream come true on the day of the wedding! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you Amy and the Crest Center staff!!
My husband and I got married at the Crest Center earlier this month, and we can't recommend a better Asheville wedding venue.
Amy, Cloie, and Jessica were a joy to work with and helped to make our wedding celebration absolutely perfect. They made our long-distance planning so easy, streamlined, and stress-free. All of them were friendly, professional, and extremely responsive whenever questions arose.
The Center itself is beautiful, and the Overlook Deck was the perfect place for our ceremony and cocktail hour. The beautiful mountain views, privacy, and convenience to downtown Asheville can't be beat.
In addition to wonderful support from Crest staff throughout our planning process, the food was delicious and our bridal attendant/day-of coordinator, Allie Marie, was fantastic. She was so friendly, kind, and wonderful to work with. I didn't see or hear about a single thing going wrong on the day (I'm very detail-oriented, and likely would have noticed!) Our entire event crew, from the servers and bartenders to the event manager, was wonderful.
We could not have asked for a better wedding day, and the Crest Center staff helped to make that happen. Planning from a distance and during COVID wasn't easy, but the wonderful ladies at Crest made it as fun and stress-free as possible. We would get married here again in a heartbeat!
The Crest Center is a beautiful spot for a mountain view wedding with the reception inside being just as pretty! There is a large wrap around bar and huge fireplace to make your party seem cozy and fun! Also the food is actually really good and the staff is fantastic! I loved the staff I worked with, with the exception of our bridal attendant (we just didn't meet her until day of and she was probably the least helpful out of everyone), but everyone else was absolutely wonderful!!
If you want an Asheville wedding you couldn't find better. Besides the beautiful view from the balcony, their entire property has gorgeous mountain views for photos. And even better, only 10 mins from downtown!
The crest center and pavilion team was amazing! They answered all our questions through several emails and even provided lots of reassurance when needed! The pavilion venue was absolutely stunning! The views were amazing and the lights inside made it extra special.
My husband I were married in the main building of the Crest Center on 7/4/2021 and we couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. Crest was flexible with us in areas that mattered, especially food. We had a Christian/Hindu wedding and they allowed us to bring in some catered Indian food, which wasn’t something that was easy to find in Asheville. We had them serve some appetizers and meals for a few of our guests and we heard rave reviews about the food. They were also one of the few places that allowed us to pay for alcohol per drink instead per person which was important because almost half of our guests don’t drink. We had a long ceremony so we opted to get married inside with the large windows in the background. It allowed us to have the beautiful views but still be in air conditioning. We were lucky enough to have a very normal wedding during COVID and the Crest team was great about keeping us updated on mask mandates and any restrictions over the year of planning, especially as we got closer to the big day. We were very happy with everything and our guests were amazed by the view and venue. We would definitely recommend!!
I researched almost every venue in the Asheville area and The Crest Pavilion offered the most for the price. This venue checked every box I had from beautiful mountain views to reasonable costs to amazing food. Amy, Cloie and the team help you create the perfect day and are true gems in the wedding industry.
There is no need to hire a wedding planner or coordinator with this venue because they take care of everything for you and even throw in a day of bridal assistant (who was amazing). There is truly nothing that went wrong on my wedding day due to the expertise of the Crest Center team. My husband and I highly recommend the Crest Center for any wedding or event.
My husband and I had the most beautiful wedding here at the Crest Pavilion. We loved the location of the venue, which was private with a beautiful backdrop of the blue ridge mountains in the distance. The pavilion was big and accommodated our guests perfectly with plenty of room to dance and socialize without feeling crowded, especially during covid times. Everything was beautiful and the food was amazing. Without even having a tasting, the food was not a let down at all. We enjoyed the chicken barbecue and brisket very much, all of our guests really loved it. The staff was helpful and answered questions promptly. We recommend this venue to anyone that loves the outdoors and mountains. Perfectly beautiful.
We had the chance to tour the Crest Center with Amy. She has been in the wedding business for a number of years and is a genuine expert. She was great at helping us visualize the space and how everything would flow through the entire day. She even gave us a few tips and resources on Asheville that are invaluable.
I'll start by saying that we did decide on a different venue based on a couple of factors personal to us and our family/friends. The view of the mountains and the proximity to downtown Asheville made that a tough choice.
Both spaces at the Crest Center have incredible views. The Pavillion was more our style because all of the doors slide open and create a really seamless feeling with the mountains and outdoors. With that said, it seems like a lot of couples chose the other space because it has a bit more flexibility for the weather, etc.
I can tell the team at M7 will go above and beyond to help you create a seamless wedding here and your guests will be talking about the view for years to come.
Winter Fairytale Wedding Comes True
When our daughter started thinking about having a nice wedding and picking out a venue that was beautiful and represented everything she had always hoped and dreamed of, we didn’t really know where to begin. After lots of research and visits to several locations in the Asheville area we realized that the perfect location was one that we already knew of and could have saved us a lot of time. The Crest Center and Pavilion is hands down the nicest, most beautiful venue in all of Western North Carolina and the Lasher family sure knows how to take care of every detail on your special day! Their team of friendly and professional staff met every need and wish that we could have asked for and went above and beyond to make sure that our daughters dream of a Winter/Disney Princess/Fairytale wedding came true. A special thanks to Amy and her amazing staff for their sincere, honest, and hard working efforts and advice on making our day so special. It was truly a magical and unforgettable experience. If you are looking for the best venue in the Asheville, North Carolina area to have your wedding dreams come true.... Look no further. The Crest Center has it all. Breath taking views, elegant indoor and outdoor facilities, and an unbeatable staff. Thank you all for helping our Cinderella have the perfect wedding of her dreams!
I have nothing but phenomenal things to say about The Crest Center and the staff that works there. The Crest Center was the first venue we toured and took our breath away. We were initially interested in the Pavilion but ended up using the Crest Center since our party was smaller and we absolutely loved it. Being at the top of the mountain, the views around the property are awe inspiring. Not many venues in Asheville have that kind of view. One of the perks with the Crest Center is there is no need for outside catering. The food was fresh, delicious and plentiful! We worked with Amy and Mary and both ladies were wonderful. They were easy to communicate with, friendly, helpful and made us feel important, as if we were part of the Crest family. Amy was especially incredible as she worked with us to postpone our wedding due to COVID. I had heard some horror stories from other weddings, but Amy worked with us to make sure we still had a wedding without any penalties. They accommodated every one of our requests. The staff really is passionate about their work and you can feel it in all they do for you, the client. I cannot recommend the Crest Center for your wedding venue enough!!!
The Crest Center and Pavilion (M7 Event Solutions) are outstanding in every way. We have worked with them and their clients countless times over more than a decade and every experience is top notch. Their communication leading up to an event, accomodations for both clients and vendors as well as services all around are first class. Gorgeous space, lovely views and an extremely professional staff. You cannot go wrong with the Crest Center & Pavilion for your Asheville, NC wedding!
Flexible, fair, and FUN! This team is amazing!
The Crest Center & Pavilion was a dream come true!! From the very first email to the very last, these ladies did everything they could to make me happy and excited for my big day. Honestly, I am SAD I won't be able to talk to Mary and Amy every week :( They were the absolute best and genuinely interested in YOU and your big day!
Just a few things that made my experience spectacular --
1. Responsive - I was planning a wedding from out of town, and the team was extremely responsive! They responded with clarity and excitement to all of my 100s of emails.
2. THE VIEWS are absolutely stunning!
3. Indoors - I wanted beautiful views for my wedding reception, but I am not risky enough to do something completely outdoors - The Center and Pavilion are both indoors :) I found this to be very unique for Asheville.
4. Reasonable & fair - All in all, I felt that I was getting a great value for my big day, especially considering the location & service!
5. Flexibility - The Crest team allows you to build your wedding day, your way! I never felt pressured to "do more" or spend unnecessary money. In fact, the team often shared ideas with me to save money. I always felt that they were honest and fair!
6. Vendors - The Crest team lets you pick your own vendors. There's no list to follow or "abide" by. And, they were kind and helpful to all of my vendors! No matter if they'd worked with them in the past or not!
7. Location - I got married at the Basilica of St. Lawrence downtown. The Crest Pavilion is just 10-12 minutes from downtown, making Ubers and drive-times super easy!
8. FOOD - absolutely delicious! I received so many comments about our wedding food including, "One of the best briskets I have ever eaten!" and "The food really lived up to the tasting!" (From my MIL)
9. Simplicity - I didn't have a wedding planner, and the Crest team made all the deadlines, expectations, paperwork, etc. very easy to work with. I never felt overwhelmed or like they were asking too much. This is a great option for those who don't have a planner - the team is simply amazing!
10. Flexibility again - Great venue for the DIY bride! I brought in a lot of my decorations / details....and the Crest team executed my vision perfectly!
I would 100% recommend this location to you! These ladies make wedding planning FUN! You can't beat the views, the location, or the service!
We got married at the Crest Center and Pavilion on Oct 11th of this year. We held our ceremony on the lawn, the cocktail hour on the mezzanine of the Crest Center, and had the reception in the pavilion. I can't express enough how amazing this venue was and how much they exceeded our expectations. Each step of the process was seamless! Leading up to the wedding, Lauren was extremely reliable and responsible with all of the crazy bridal questions that I had! I felt like I could call the venue and anyone that answered knew who I was and was familiar with our upcoming event.
The details meeting being only a day before the wedding was a little stressful, but the team of Bridal attendants did a great job getting an understanding of our needs for the following day, led us through the rehearsal, and fully prepared us for the next day.
On the day of the wedding, the bridal attendants were fantastic! Making sure the day was pushed along properly, that my groom and I never had an empty drink, as well as decorating the place with the items we brought.
To top it all off, we had amazing weather that gave us the most beautiful sunset! We had so many guests tell us that this was the most beautiful venue they have been to. My father/elderly loved the accessibility of the place and that there was no need to move locations for the reception. I HIGHLY recommend renting both venues on the site and I truly believe the cost you pay for the bridal assistants are worth every penny.
Thank you so much to everyone at the Crest Center and Pavilion!!!!
This venue was perfect for our October 5th wedding. The crest has a tremendous set of staff members that are there to answer every single one of your questions and concerns. We lived 4 hours away from Asheville, but the Crest staff was so prompt on answering emails that I never felt like an out of town bride. We used the outdoor space for our ceremony and the indoor pavilion for the reception. The pavilion itself is so dreamy and it really didn't need a lot of extra decorations to give off a romantic vibe. I love string lights so I was instantly sold on the pavilion when I toured. That being said, the Crest center is one of the more pricey venues in Asheville so make sure you look carefully over your contract and decide if you truly need some of the add on items. We had Mari as our bridal attendant, and she was literally my fairy godmother on my wedding day. She made every effort to have the day go smoothly, even with some unexpected weather hitches right before my ceremony. The staff truly cares for their brides and the food is impeccable. If you're on the fence and don't want to be treated like a run of the mill bride in Asheville, I'd suggest the Crest Pavilion.
We got married at the Crest Pavilion in June 2019 and were extremely happy with the Crest Pavilion and M7 Events.
The Crest Pavilion is a gorgeous place to host a wedding. The view of the mountains is terrific, providing a beautiful backdrop for the wedding ceremony. The pavilion has ample room inside for large group, with a wide stage, and a beautiful ceiling decorated with string lights. Together these make for a magical evening and plenty of great picture opportunities.
M7 Events has hosted a lot of weddings, and it shows with how smoothly the event went. Leading up to the wedding, Amy and Lauren were always professional and helpful with answering our numerous questions, providing recommendations for what to do on the wedding day, and modifying the layout and contract as the number of attendees changed.
On the actual wedding day, our wedding day coordinator Alla, did an amazing job of coordinating the various vendors and keeping us on track with our schedule. We were particularly touched by her attention to detail, putting together last minute details, ensuring we had time to eat, and ensuring our favorite drink was always available. Alla took care of running the show so we could relax and enjoy the event.
Food from the venue was delicious. We had done the food tasting with the venue a couple months earlier to help us select food that was not only tasty but also would make the most sense for what we had in mind. The venue allowed us to bring our own wine (with corkage fee) and have them pre-order beer from the many breweries in the asheville area for the drinks that were to be served. There was enough food and drinks for everyone.
A few quick tips:
Ask for input regarding the hors d’oeuvres. Some are easier to eat for cocktail hour than others.
M7 Events partners with SoundExtreme. We were extremely happy with Sandy as the MC/DJ.
M7 Events is upfront with this, but keep in mind that any additions to the base package (such as food tasting, linens, or additional rentals) will incur additional fees, which can add up fairly quickly.
During the rehearsal, it was helpful to hear suggestions from the day-of coordinator to ensure the day flowed more smoothly. Alla had great advice from past experience which improved the wedding.
The Crest Center staff were extremely helpful - they know what they're doing, and having an excellent in-house chef makes it even easier! It was easy to communicate with the staff remotely and in-person, and our day-of coordinators, Allie Marie & Shannon, were fantastic and on top of it! The sunset over the porch was unbeatable, and one of the most memorable parts of our wedding for us and our guests.
I can't give a better review. they are a one stop shop that was professional and catered to our every need. The location was perfect, got lucky with perfect weather got an outdoor wedding at the Center. We showed up, put out table decorations and they took care of everything else. they had recommended vendors, who were all stellar. Just made the day flow so much easier. Plus they coordinated with all the vendors before the big day so there was nothing to worry about.
The whole place was beautiful! So glad we Chose it.
The Crest was a perfect venue for our ceremony. We had the reception in the backyard of a rented private residence so we wanted something separate for the ceremony. It was more budget-friendly to do an earlier ceremony so we had a 12 pm ceremony at the Crest gazebo. They have many different location options, but this one worked with our budget. The gazebo was beautiful and the site overlooks Asheville with trees and mountains in the backdrop. We were married in early October and the leaves were falling during the ceremony. So pretty! Amy at the Crest helped get everything booked and answer all our questions. She was a pleasure to work with. And our bridal attendant, Kayla, was amazing! She was literally 8 WEEKS away from giving birth and was still able to help us tremendously. There was even a beehive the day before during the rehearsal, and she made sure to have it taken care of immediately so there was no issue during the ceremony. Overall, we are so happy we went with this venue. Highly recommended!
When we booked our 9/28/18 wedding at the Crest Center, it was a no-brainer. We toured a bunch of venues in the Asheville area and Crest was the perfect mix of a beautiful, private venue where they took care of most of the details (including food, drink, rentals, and some day-of coordination).
We held our ~75 person event in the Crest Center, which is the smaller of the two event spaces (the Crest Pavillion is a larger space). Both spaces are beautiful, but we liked that the Crest Center had different “spaces” and required less décor to make it feel intimate. We had our ceremony on the wood deck with the most beautiful views. Inside there was the main dining/dancing space, but there is also a lounge-like space with fireplace and an upstairs space we used as a game room. Guests noted it was the “perfect venue” and everyone had a blast and took beautiful pictures.
The M7/Crest Center staff was awesome before and during the wedding! They were EXTREMELY responsive via email to answer our many questions about décor, food/drink, and logistics. M7 planning staff were very accommodating of any/all requests before the wedding and the day-of staff, too. They called to coordinate with our outside vendors a few days before the wedding to make sure everyone was clear on timing/coordination that day. They also provide a day-of “bridal attendant” to help make sure you eat and to run the ceremony/cocktail hour/dinner/cake cutting logistics.
Just as a heads up, how they bill the event is a little different than some other venues we looked at. It can feel like being “nickled and dimed” as there are charges for ceremony chair setup and electricity fee. However, in the end the cost of the event was quite reasonable for what you get, so don’t be scared off by the individual fees! The hard part can be knowing what upcharges you want, so it helps to come in with an idea of the look or special touches you want. We did quite a few upgrades and still stayed in budget, but it can make the planning process slightly more challenging for the indecisive bride without a vision (because they can basically get anything or do anything you want!).
I can be a harsh critic, but I can honestly say that I can’t recommend the Crest Center enough. They helped make our day truly special, easy, and beautiful!
The Crest Center & Pavilion was the perfect venue for our 5/27 wedding. We wanted a venue that would be private, with an outdoor space for our ceremony and "blank slate" indoor space for our reception, and Crest checked all of the boxes! The views from the Crest Pavilion lawn are absolutely gorgeous and the stone deck provides a perfect spot for cocktail hour, separate from the main reception space. The Pavilion itself has beautiful bones that can be transformed into any style of reception. We opted for a modern, whimsical feel with fabric draping and suspended light fixtures, and it turned out just spectacular.
Amy and Lauren were a delight to work with. They are super organized, responsive, and went above and beyond to ensure all of our concerns were taken care of. I was super particular about the details of pretty much every aspect of our day, and they were never dismissive and worked with me to make sure everything was just right.
The food was also out of this world great! Our guests went out of their way to tell us repeatedly how incredible it was. Their Chef was an absolute delight and it's obvious that he puts a lot of love into the food he serves.
We would choose Crest again in a heartbeat.
We loved having our wedding reception at the Crest Pavilion in April 2018. The views were amazing, all our guests commented on how beautiful the space was. From the very beginning of the planning process, they were accommodating of our schedules ,as we look multiple tours of the place. Amy, Lauren have been great to work with throughout this process, I liked responsive they were to my email queries. Their rental services make it easier to want to add special pieces/décor to the wedding. They worked well with my day of coordinator and our other vendors, to give us a great wedding day! The food was amazing, our guests are still talking about the appetizers from cocktail hour! Thank you to the M7 team for a smooth planning and on-point execution of our wedding reception.
I cannot thank the Crest Center and Pavilion enough for their incredible service in creating the most perfect wedding day for my husband and I. From booking the venue to our bridal attendant meeting to the big day, Amy, Lauren and Emily worked very hard to make sure everything was as smooth as possible and that all of our questions were answered. I couldn't have asked for a more talented and professional team of people to work with!!! Every guest commented not only on the beauty of the venue, but also on the professionalism and attentiveness of the staff, not to mention the delicious food and drink! We knew the moment we saw the Crest Center that it would be the most beautiful venue for our wedding and we were very right. They did an AMAZING job decorating everything exactly the way we had envisioned. We are so thankful to you guys, especially to Lauren for being the most incredible bridal attendant. She made sure we always had something to drink and were able to eat. She also kept our bridal party organized and made sure everything ran smoothly the whole night through. From the bottom of our heart, THANK YOU! Do yourself a favor and book this incredible venue, I promise you won't regret it!
I had my wedding here in November of 2016. My breath was taken away when I rolled up to the venue getting ready to get introduced to all of our guests! It was absolutely phenomenal. The service, the attendants, everyone was a pleasure to work with. My day of coordinator was absolutely amazing.. I think I told her she was my best friend about 7 times that night. She made sure my husband and I were taken care of at all times and the event went on without a hitch!
WARNING: You may run out of food!
We got married on 10/22/16 and were later informed by multiple friends and guests of our families that we ran out of food. We were mortified. We emailed our contacts that the Crest Pavilion / M7 Event Solutions immediately and though apologetic, nothing was done, and no responsibility was taken. In fact, M7 admitted that the $400 bridal attendant did know that we ran out of prime rib for approximately 1 table and made a note of this. It was never mentioned to the wedding planner we also hired or to the bride / groom. We would have gladly paid for extra food, extended dinner service etc. had we been made aware. A good friend and guest of ours at the wedding who has spent much of his career in the restaurant/catering business noticed as this was happening and later told us he estimated about 3-4 tables did not get prime rib. He believes the problem was that the $85 carver portioned the pieces too large. Multiple guests also let us know that they ended up sharing their meat as the portion was so big and as others didn’t get any. Our appetizers also went super-fast to the point that the tray for the bride and groom was also eaten. Multiple tables didn’t even know we had fried green tomatoes. At every turn, M7 pointed the finger back at us: 1) extra ceremony chairs had to be brought out though not any extra chairs at the reception where the food was served 2) our guests were ‘heavy eaters’ though they were just eating the portions that M7 gave them 3) our wedding planner’s assistants went through the food line – yes, they did, and they were included in our guest count. In fact, we had 3 less guests show up than the count that was submitted.
Up until learning this, we loved our wedding at the Crest Pavilion and enjoyed working with M7. The venue is truly gorgeous, magical even. My advice had I read a review like this before we got married would be to 1) order more food than you think you would need as you can pay $30 for M7 to box up any leftovers. 2) discuss with M7 what happens if you do run out of food and get this written into your contract so you have recourse should this unfortunately happen to you. Our wedding planner realized the appetizers for the bride and groom were eaten and went back and asked the kitchen if there was anything else they could give us and apparently there wasn’t. That was quite surprising to us all. As mentioned earlier, there was a note made that we ran out of prime rib but is that what you would want? Just a note? Be clear as to what your expectations are if this occurs and discuss what M7 can and can’t do so that you’re prepared. Good luck!
We were just married at the Crest Center on Saturday and it was everything we expected and more! Our bridal attendant, Jenna, was amazing! She made sure we did miss any of the delicious food and that our drinks were filled (even while we were out taken pictures)! The view is what took our breath away when we first visited and it's what took our guests breath away the whole night. We had multiple family and friends tell us it was the best wedding they had ever been to and it was definitely because of the venue. Thank you Crest Center!
We were planning our Asheville, NC wedding from Florida and while looking online I kept coming back to the Crest Center & Pavilion. When we finally had the opportunity to visit, we were sold! The venue is BEAUTIFUL! Beautiful facility, beautiful views. The staff that helped us with planning and meetings to the staff that was there on our day were great to work with! We had such a wonderful experience with planning and an even more wonderful wedding and are so grateful for the Crest Center & Pavilion!
Because we live in Seoul, South Korea full time, we planned our entire Asheville, NC wedding from there. As a result, clear and efficient communication was of the utmost importance to us in our vendors. From the very beginning, the team at the Crest Center - Amy, Emily & Lauren - responded quickly and thoroughly to our many emails. They provided us with timeline information and planning help (if we required it), and we knew exactly what to expect.
The day before our wedding we had a meeting with our event manager and bridal attendant, Wendy. Everyone at the Crest Center is polite, professional, friendly and patient. They made us feel completely comfortable and confident that our big day would go according to plan - and it did!
The venue itself - the Crest Center (not the Pavilion - that's a separate venue on site) - was perfect for our smallish wedding of 60 people. The rain cleared up at the last minute and we were married on the deck with a gorgeous view. Our guests absolutely adored the venue and spent a lot of time on the deck enjoying the view and the beautiful sunset. All of the staff the Crest Center hired were fantastic - polite, friendly and smiley. They interacted with our guests in such a positive way. The food was good and our vegetarian friends and family really enjoyed their vegetarian meals prepared especially for them.
We planned every single aspect of our wedding via email and over the internet. One of the best parts about choosing this venue is that all catering, food, drink & staff are hired in house so the M7 Team at the Crest Center takes care of all of those things. It made our lives so much easier and streamlined everything. It meant that we had so much less work to do ourselves.
We couldn't have been happier with their services! Honestly, you will not regret booking them, so if you're on the fence, go for it! :)
The Crest Center was the most beautiful, accommodating, understanding and just all around amazing vendor to work with! They truly went above and beyond to make sure every detail was taken care of!
Amy, Emily, Lauren, Molly and Chris were always on their game and made sure all of my vendors knew where to go and what to do. They also made sure that we had our to-go meals and desserts in our getaway car before we left and just made every single thing a breeze!
The only complaint my mother and some of the guests had was that it was fairly hot. We even chose the Crest Center (not the Pavilion) since that was the building that had air conditioning. We knew August would be hot, not to mention all the people in the space, dancing and everything, so the only thing I'd say is to request that they have both the downstairs and upstairs air conditioning on (they only turned our downstairs on) and make it cooler than you think it should be.
Other than that - they made my wedding absolutely PERFECT! Down to the last detail (and boy did I have an extremely detailed spreadsheet!)
When looking for a wedding venue, we looked at various options with Crest Pavilion being the first. However, no matter where else we went afterwards couldn't compare to the Pavilion. The view was unbeatable and if all our guests are coming from out of town they should enjoy the mountain views!
The food was wonderful and there was a large selection which could please anyone no matter their tastes. We used their associated DJ (Steven from Sound Extreme) and he was excellent. Highly recommend using Sound Extreme. It was so easy and they are so familiar with the venue you didn't have to worry about anything.
Amy, Emily, and Lauren were excellent to work with and were able to answer any questions, were accommodating to requests, and helped organize and suggest other vendors. However, my only suggestion is day of either hire an additional bridal coordinator or ask a family member or friend not in the wedding party to set up and help with final details and set up. We were told multiple times they would take care of those things but in the end my mother and bridesmaids had to rush and put out final details including table numbers as this was not completed by the assigned bridal attendant. I wish I had met the bridal attendant at the details meeting we had several months before the wedding rather than right before our rehearsal the day before. Before and during my rehearsal I was still having to go though details with the bridal attendant even though I had already provided detailed lists and information/diagrams for both the ceremony and reception set up.
I still give the Crest Pavilion 5 stars as the day was perfect despite these last minute hiccups and my guests are still raving about how amazing everything was. Thank you to everyone at M7 for creating the perfect day!
There isn't a better place to get married! We fell in love with the Crest Pavilion as soon as we saw it - the view is amazing, and the lights in the Pavilion rafters were to die for. We picked it and signed our name on the dotted line immediately - and we couldn't be happier we did. Amy and her team at Crest are unbelievable - they helped us through every single part of the planning process and obliged us on all of our requests. We are a budget-conscious couple, and despite picking the venue of our dreams, Amy and team helped us keep our wedding day within our budget while still making it more beautiful than we dreamed of. My husband and I have been to a dozen or more weddings, so we were concerned about food (scared of the dreadful "wedding food"). But that isn't what we got at all - the roast beef carving station was amazing. They even created a mashed potato bar for us that wasn't on the menu. And our guests are STILL talking about some of the passed hors d'oeuvres - including the mini crab cakes, fried risotta balls (OMG), and bacon wrapped shrimp. There's not a single thing I would have changed about this day! Thank you, Amy, and the rest of the Crest/M7 team!!!
The venue is absolutely gorgeous. The flow and setup was exactly what we were looking for. If you want a place that's totally unique that will blow your guests away, this is the place. It's the best venue in Asheville for a more reasonable price. We looked high and low and it's a hidden gem. The setup of the pavilion really sold me. You can walk down the aisle along the side of the building without anyone seeing you until you get there, have your ceremony outdoors, have an incredible view of the mountains and then your guests can be ushered to the terrace for cocktail hour and then through the back door of the pavilion to dinner. Whoever designed this place knew what they were doing for sure.
With that in mind, I have a few recommendations... Order a little less alcohol than they recommend. We ordered 3 cases of wine, 1 keg, and the equivalent of another keg in bottles as well as a prepaid tab for 75 people. We barely got halfway through the bottles, didn't hit the prepaid tab, and I'm sure we barely touched the keg. Luckily we could take the bottles home and they give you what you don't hit on the prepaid tab in wine. In our case someone forgot to do so at the end of the night, so pay attention to the paperwork. They sent us a check for what was left on the tab which is rare and we were super grateful.
Go through your contract with a fine tooth comb. We checked about 10 times and found errors, excess rentals, and additional charges we didn't need almost every time. The fees add up so expect to pay a couple thousand more than you're originally quoted. Despite going through the contract there were still a few errors made the day of. The color linens we paid an additional premium for weren't all there based on an ordering error on Crest's part. However, with some slight pushing, they reimbursed us. We seemed to change hands a few times along the planning process. Turnover seems high and I think that was part of the reason there were errors the day of. When working with a few different employees over 6 months, there are bound to be some errors and miscommunication. The main reason I say to double check your contract is that we paid for a tasting. The chicken we chose from that tasting was breast. We were assured it would be chicken breast the day of. Four of us can account for it. The day of was bone in which my husband and I noticed as soon as we sat down. It's difficult to eat for a formal affair. When we mentioned it, there wasn't much accountability taken reasoning that the contract said just "chicken." We were disappointed but it wasn't something we could contest much.
Finally, I hope they remove the mandatory option for a bridal attendant. We thankfully brought in our own outside planner. We met our bridal attendant the day of the rehearsal. Despite her lack of knowledge about our plans, she was overly confident about taking charge and telling our bridal party and guests what to do regardless of if it was correct or not. I wouldn't go in with the expectation this person is going to plan your wedding. Consider her more of a liaison between you and the venue. Their main job is to assist in the setup and provide the bridal party with drinks before the wedding.
Overall, we felt a bit nickel and dimed toward the end but it was worth it to have something so memorable and extraordinary. Just pay attention to everything! The errors that were made were all detrimental to our finances and beneficial to the company's bottom dollar.
We literally had our DREAM wedding here! Loved everything about The Crest Center, especially the amazing view from the deck outside the reception hall. Other than the obvious appeal of this place (it's STUNNING beauty), the staff were incredible and we really enjoyed everything about getting married there. The only reason they aren't getting a full 5 star review is that there was a slight issue with the bar tab that I found out about the next day, but in retrospect it really doesn't matter at all and I think it was just a miscommunication. They were so great about working with all our wedding plans and with our budget. We got married on a Thursday, and that really helped bring the cost down. Because they had no other events going on on that day, we were able to go in on Wednesday and set up the reception hall, rehearse, etc. which made everything so much less stressful. The staff were great during the planning process, answering all of my questions and emails quickly, allowing me to make a million changes to the timeline and plans, etc. I also had a few medical issues and got slammed with a lot of medical bills during the planning process and The Crest Center staff were really flexible and awesome with the due dates of the payments to them. Our wedding was BEAUTIFUL and we had such a great experience there. Wish we could do it all over again!!
very organized and smooth running ceremony and reception. our wedding director, lisa, was wonderful, funny and very helpful throughout the evening. my only complaint is that they did not put out the wedding favors at each place setting like we had wanted. they ran out of time. over all, it was a beautiful evening for everyone.
The Crest Center's staff was amazing from day 1. They were very responsive with emails, helped with all requests, and went above and beyond on the day of my wedding. I could not have asked for better service. I was thoroughly impressed with the staff's professionalism and attention to detail. If you are looking for a venue that provides great service and a beautiful location, then the Crest Center is for you!!
This was such a beautiful place to get married! The food was great, service was great, and I was so pleased with the bridal assistant they provided on the day of. I give her 5 stars, no need to bring an additional wedding coordinator for the day of. I would say the communication leading up to the wedding was a bit lacking at times but I have certainly experienced worse. Although I think it has gotten better with new staff hired. All in all, I was very pleased with everything, they were very accommodating to my vendors and I know that helps things go smoother on the wedding day. I would highly recommend this venue if you are looking for a beautiful place that is easy to get to from downtown Asheville, and that has great staff, and best of all - great value!
The Good: Tania as a day of coordinator was FANTASTIC. Absolutely amazing. She was key and I felt comfortable with her from the first minute I met her and she shook my hand.
The food was really great! Better than we ever could have guessed. And they worked with us to get the menu just right.
The VIEW....stunning. Our guests were impressed, the ceremony location could not be better; perhaps anywhere in Asheville.
The staff is very responsive to emails, and very comfortable with out of town brides. Very enthusiastic.
Quite simply, they know what they're doing.
The Bad: Rigid rules when it comes to decorating, LOTS of extra charges (paying to have chairs set up for the wedding when you are already paying people to be there and work the wedding all day, fees for not booking preferred vendors, etc.) A lot of the food is exorbitantly priced, especially the appetizer plates...the general feeling that they are not letting you leave without taking each and every dime possible.
The Ugly: They do an amazing job putting on weddings. They have it down to a science and it was the best day of our lives. With that said, they fully embrace some of the worst parts of the wedding industry, which makes business sense for them, but can leave you feeling disenchanted.
The Crest Center does a LOT of events, and they do them right! Leading up to the big day, they sent me plenty of friendly reminders about upcoming payments and paperwork deadlines, which I greatly appreciated as a bride frazzled by wedding planning, work, and school.
For the most part, the service I received was friendly and professional although there was one employee who consistently acted irritated and communicated poorly through email. The service on the day of the wedding (from what I can remember, it was all such a blur) was friendly, professional, and patient.
The value of the venue didn't seem terrible at first, but then I started looking at all of the additional costs that they tack on (they charge for each chair to be put out during the ceremony, $25 per box of decorations that exceeded "six medium sized boxes, $1,100 to hang lights over the dance floor, etc.). I guess most venues are like that, but I found it disconcerting and sometimes paralyzing as a bride trying to stay within a budget.
The food was great, the venue was perfect and beautiful, and the service was really wonderful, for the most part. I recommend this venue if you have a little extra padding in your wallet.
The Crest Center Pavilion was absolutely incredible! From the moment we stepped foot onto the property - we knew this was the place! Kathryn was my direct contact throughout the entire process and was absolutely the best! She was very honest and eager to answer all my questions and many emails -- quickly! Brenda was awesome in keeping me up to date on what was due in ample amount of time! The food was absolutely delicious!!! Everyone raved about it! We did “pre-purchase” way too much wine (12 bottles worth about $25 each) than what was actually needed so I would suggest brides to be careful on this and to project less than the recommended. The only downfall, which I would not take away from the rating I gave, is that the attendants going around took glasses that were still somewhat full away from unattended guest’s table that still were drinking throughout the night. This just resulted in wasted beverages. Sarah Reynolds was my bridal attendant the day of and she was amazing! She helped smoothly transition everyone in their proper places without being "noticed" as the one directing it all. She made us all feel so comfortable and always had a smiling face! Such a sweetheart! Our wedding was absolutely amazing and I can't thank everyone enough who was involved in making this night magical! Would definitely recommend 100%
In all honestly we got off to a rocky start with the Crest, but once we started working with Amy everything was immediately smooth sailing. She knew how to work within our budget and bring a lot of imagination to our big day. She had the details down and could not have been more accommodating! The entire team at the Crest Center did an amazing job to help make my special day a success. The food was wonderful and so was the service. Not to mention the fact that the venue itself is STUNNING! As part of the package with the Crest, there was day of coordinator as well as a bridal attendant. Both were fantastic! In fact, the bridal attendant actually sewed my dress after a small detail came unhinged moments before the ceremony! I would without a moments pause recommend the Crest to an Bride.
I was so happy that we found The Crest Center for our wedding. The staff made us feel like we were the only two people getting married. They were so wonderful. I knew that on the day of, I wouldn't have to worry about a thing. Everything was taken care of for me, and our wedding turned out to be absolutely stunning.
I cannot say enough good things about the Crest Pavilion. We found Amy to be very responsive and helpful through the entire planning process. We are not from the area and Amy worked with us to schedule meetings and let us pop in to look at the venue as needed when we came to town to plan. Tanya and Tania were so wonderful to work with and we recommend them. They took care of everything and helped us have everything in place. Tania helped us set up and ensured everything ran perfectly. We could not have asked for better service.
And... the venue is beautiful.
-Annette
The Crest Center Pavilion is absolutely beautiful! Stunning mountain views and friendly helpful service. My only issue were not following the room set up that we had agreed on and it being SO hot (there is no ac in the pavilion).
Our guests were stunned by this venue. We looked everywhere in Raleigh for the perfect venue but nothing would satisfy me. I actually found it at the Angus Barn but almost had a heart attack at the price. The one thing I refused to compromise in was the venue. I wanted a perfect rustic fall wedding that was elegant at the same time. The venue is at the top of the mountain and when I took my mom and sisters to see it they actually gasped when we reached the top.
It is beautiful- they actually have two venues, the Crest Center and the Pavilion. There was a wedding in the Pavilion but we didn’t even notice that they were there the entire night because the two venues are separated. The staff at the Crest Center was really easy to work with- they know how to pull off perfect weddings. The setting in the mountains was everything I imagined and they had the perfect backdrop with the fall foliage for the wedding and reception.
The entire night went perfectly. They hire a wedding coordinator to make sure that you don’t have to worry about everything. I had a million little details that I planned but the coordinator took over and I was relaxed and didn’t even have to worry about anything the entire night.
The food is amazing! Everything I had here was great!
My sweetheart and I wanted a fun, outdoor, fall wedding and we couldn't have picked a better place. The staff made sure that we had food, drinks, fun, and that everything went to plan without us thinking about a thing. It was so beautiful and I wouldn't have changed a thing. Funny thing is, it was the cheapest venue we looked at as so many things were included in the price. I highly recommend this beautiful, fun place to celebrate your love!
Planning a wedding from out of town can be next to impossible, but not if you choose the Crest as your venue! From day one Kathryn and the rest of the staff helped make my wedding perfect. The Pavilion is a beautiful setting no matter what time of year you are getting married. Everyone is very friendly and ready to help you plan your day. M7 catering was great, and having a bridal consultant for the rehearsal and day of the wedding was key. Tania kept things running smoothly the whole day, which was not an easy task with our crazy families! I highly recommend The Crest Center and Pavilion to anyone planning a wedding in Asheville. I could not be happier that I used them!
Our wedding was a dream come true! We just got married last week, Oct 8th, we wanted a fall mountain wedding and we definitely got it! The Pavilion was amazing, and even though it's a large space, they made it feel very cozy and intimate. Our friends and family were blown away by how beautiful the wedding was. We had 180 guests and ALL of them approached me at some point and either said the wedding was beautiful or said it was the best wedding they have ever been too! We got to watch the sun set from the dance floor and our friends were sipping cocktails outside by the outdoor fireplace. The band sounded great on the stage, the food was good and the atmosphere and mountain view were over the top. It was truly an amazing night that we will remember forever. The customer service was also amazing. I'm really glad we picked Crest because we didn't have a wedding planner and they were great with suggestions and really knew what they were doing. They made us feel like family and answered all of our questions... even the really dumb ones! I would get married here again if I had to do it all over!
The staff at The Crest Center and Pavilion in Asheville were absolutely amazing to work with. Amy was always there to answer an email or phone call and help get us good deals with our vendors and on our beverages. Also, Lisa (the day-of wedding coordinator) was phenomenal; she listened to us, took notes, made suggestions, and basically made the day go by flawlessly! The wait staff was friendly and courteous to our guests, we had no complaints from anyone.
The building itself is nestled in the mountains, and there are spectacular views on all sides. The grounds were very clean and well-kept, it is really a beautiful venue. (Plus, they have different options based on the size of your wedding- we had the ceremony on the lawn and the reception in the pavilion, it was so nice to have it all in one location!!)
About the food.... it was AWESOME!! It was by far the best food I've ever had at a wedding and ranks very high on my list of best food ever. We had a chicken and steak buffet, and the steaks were cooked and seasoned perfectly and were huge with very little fat on them.
The only issue we had that night was that some of our cards were taken from the gift table and some cash was taken from the bridal room. There was a security officer on duty, but for this instance, I think it would have been beneficial to make his presence more obvious to our guests and the staff. Of course, we realize that stuff like this happens all the time, and with a wedding of nearly 200 it is hard to keep tabs on everyone.
Our entire experience with The Crest was awesome, I can't say enough good things about them! My husband and I would whole-heartedly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a spot in Asheville or a location surrounded by natural beauty and friendly, helpful staff!
