anything. The building itself has a natural beauty that we loved. Kristine was incredibly helpful during the wedding planning and Justin was helpful on the day of, as our wedding coordinator. This venue has so many hidden perks and beauties. This venue is a great place to use as a canvas, as you can do almost any design plan. Our guests loved the place and we were told over and over how impressed they were with the venue and the character the building had. The venue has multiple rooms with different vibes, which created great spaces for conversation, dancing, and all of our needs. We had our dance floor on stage and it was plenty of space for our 185 person wedding. The sound and light system is top of the line and our music sounded fantastic. We looked at several venues prior to the Crofoot, and are so happy with our choice!

vent coordinator made me comfortable and answered all my questions (and trust me I had A LOT of questions). Justin my day of coordinator took everything I had envisioned for my perfect day and made it even better! It was truly like the staff there read my mind and created my perfect wedding day! Justin took the time throughout the day to make sure that me and my now husband were happy! I highly highly recommend this venue if you want a wedding day that is truly magical! So many of my guests said it was the best wedding they had ever been to!

Croofoot. When I went in person, the moment I walked into this unique venue I had my moment. The space itself is so unique and completely customizable. You can absolutely have any theme or style of wedding you can imagine. Throughout the whole process both Kristine and Justin were absolutely awesome and accommodating. Justin was there for us on the wedding day as our "day of coordinator" working with our wedding planner. Honestly, if it weren't for him I wouldn't have made it down the aisle without balling my eyes out. I was waiting for my turn to walk down the aisle and when my (then) fiancé's song started to play, all the emotion of the day hit me. Justin popped his head in and asked me if I wanted to hear some "dad jokes" to calm me down. It absolutely worked and I was laughing at how awful they were. Throughout the whole night he always asked us what we needed and got us everything and anything right away. My day was an absolute fairytale and I can't thank The Crofoot staff enough for that!!!!

rt venue, the sound system and lighting were top notch. We decided to upgrade to the Edison bulb chandelier and it was worth every penny, it completely set the mood and added the perfect touch. We had our ceremony in the ballroom as well, the Crofoot staff made the transition easy and worry free, while our guests enjoyed cocktail hour in the Vernor's room and the front lobby. Kristine was very helpful and easy to work with months leading up to the big day, and Stephanie was a pleasure to work with on the day of. There was nothing we had to stress about and the staff took great care of us, the day was everything we dreamed of and more!!! We highly recommend the Crofoot to anyone looking for a unique and fun space to celebrate the best day of your life.

I had numerous people tell me how much they loved the staff and made everyone feel welcomed. They went above and beyond with setting up the ceremony and reception. They surprised us by upgrading our linens and got us chair covers. I was blown away! These people TRULY care about you, what you want, and they make sure your day is special. I would recommend this place to anyone! Their prices are great, great location, great staff...It can't get any better!

ent in for the tour 9 months prior to our wedding that I absolutely could see myself getting married there. We belong to a golf/social club yet that's not what I visioned for our day. Both sets of parents were hesitant about this unique venue but when it was all said and done, the space transformed into one of the most beautiful and glamorous ballrooms anyone had ever seen. We had a live 10 piece band which rocked the house! The sound and lighting in the Crofoot are AMAZING and top-notch! Luckily our weather was perfect so we were able to utilize the outdoor space for our cocktail hour "bier garden." Kristine helped us personalize every square inch of the large venue in order to make it perfect for my husband and I. I cannot say enough things about the staff there (bartenders, door men, mangers, etc..) as everyone was helpful, fun and kind to guests. If the bar is important to you, the Crofoot is a MUST! They offer a very reasonably priced premium package which included MANY bottled local beers as well as a lot of high quality liquors. We also had a separate coffee station with its own barista for both alcoholic and non-alcoholic coffee specialty drinks. I am not exaggerating when I say that all 280+ guests have not stopped talking about how awesome, unique and fun our wedding was. We are in our mid 30's and the wedding we hosted at the Crofoot last month was a dream come true. I highly highly highly recommend the space and team there! I cannot wait to get our professional photographs back. There are so many beautiful spots inside this old space and Pontiac is on the rise! s to choose all the right vendors! Throughout our wedding night, each time we passed a Crofoot employee, they made sure we had whatever we needed. Kristine literally became my wedding lifeline, Marcus in security took care of every guest until the very end, Helena helped me and my family bustle my dress, Lee made sure I didn't pass out before I walked down the aisle, and every other staff member I didn't mention was professional, helpful, and had a smile the whole night. I would absolutely recommend this venue to anyone planning a wedding, and if I had to do my wedding over, I wouldn't change a thing!

She was also very flexible throughout the entire process with offering different options (seating, caterer placement, etc.) and worked with us (and my mom) in a very sweet, friendly, and professional manner. Mary took over for the actual day and hooked us up big time during our rehearsal and day of - she took care of my fiancé and I spectacularly. I didn't have to worry about a thing because she was so involved and collected. Her cool demeanor relaxed us both and she was a vital part in making our day fun and not stressful. The Crofoot itself is so beautiful and eclectic, I can't imagine my wedding being anywhere else. The entire night, my guests could not stop raving about how cool the venue was, how different and refreshing it was, and how awesome the bar was! Most of our guests ended up staying the entire time because there were lots of lounge areas set up so they could grab a drink, relax, and still be a part of the festivities without actually having to get up and dance every song. I was especially happy about the sound system and elevator - the music wasn't too loud to stop conversation and our older guests were able to get around comfortably. Definitely the right place to have your wedding if you want to be unique, fun, and don't like being sat at yet another banquet hall. It was cool enough for us and our younger guests, and historic looking and accommodating enough for our traditional grandparents. LOVED every minute I spent there!

ll in love with the Crofoot the first time we saw pictures. We were hesitant at first because the price seemed to be higher than most places, but it was well worth it. There were lots of little things that were included, that at other venues they would have charged extra for. We especially loved the lighting and the use of the patio and lounge furniture. We worked with Kristen throughout our whole planning process, and she was awesome to work with! She was so helpful in making sure we had thought of everything and had everything covered. Lots of things would have been forgotten or overlooked if it wasn't for her! We also worked with Mary for our day-of needs and she was a great help in making sure everything was running smoothly. We have received many compliments that our wedding was the best wedding people had been to in a long time, and everyone raved about the venue. Thank you to everyone at the Crofoot for making our wedding such a memorable occasion!

ey were all amazing!! Bartenders interacted with the guests and gave us everything we asked for with no excpetions! Security was very professional and greeted all of our guests and made them feel welcome, they even coordinated their outfits with our wedding colors and arranged for our hotel bus to come back multiple times after our last ride was scheduled to make sure all of our guests got back safely. Venue is unique and fun, it has multiple areas for guests to mingle and have a great time. There are multiple bars open including a padio bar. Our only problem with the night came with our wedding coordinator(s). We had been speaking with a specific person who had coordinated all of the details of the wedding form the time we booked the venue almost a year out. This person waited until the week before the wedding to tell us that she would not be at the wedding but another coordinator would be taking over for the day of the event. When the day of the event came we had no coordinator on site and it caused many details of the wedding to be missed or completely messed up. We trusted the coordinators to make sure everything went smoothly and just like we had planned for the past year. Long story short, all of our planning went out the window when there was no one there to coordinate on the day of our wedding. That being said the venue was amazing, staff was great and very fun and all of our guests had an amazing time and could not stop talking about what a uniqe venue we had.

nues. We toured EVERYTHING that we could find until I found the Crofoot. The Crofoot is beautiful; all the exposed brick & iron work with the huge windows & balcony gave such a warm feeling. The café entrance was so unique & upscale. However, walking into the main ball room I realized how small the first floor is. Don’t get me wrong, it’s impressive but the columns supporting the balcony & the main bar eat up a lot of space so when you start looking at adding 10 tables for dinner there is no room left for a dance floor. You HAVE to break your tables up & put people upstairs for dinner if you are doing a formal dinner. We finished our tour & were very impressed with the rest of the venue. The upstairs area is amazing; I could just imagine our friends being up there looking down at the dance floor or chilling on one of the retro leather couches. The patio area is perfect, most banquette halls have smokers go outside the venue to smoke so guests are completely cut off from the reception but the big windows help keep your guests part of the reception if they step out for a smoke. Unfortunately, I just kept getting hung up on how to do the seating for dinner because I did not want to break up our guests. We ended up eloping in Las Vegas. When we came home our parents agreed to throw a reception. We immediately called the Crofoot to book a date! We ended up doing “small plate” stations (1 on the main floor & 2 upstairs) & since the stations were buffet style we didn’t need to do formal seating. I had 6 tables of 6 seats on the 1st floor & 6 tables of 6 on the 2nd floor, plus a couple couches & benches on the first floor. We had the cocktail tables with stools for additional seating. The dance floor was a little tight, but worked out perfectly. Since my we eloped my parents weren’t pleasant in the beginning of this process. Kristen was amazing and really helped them see this wasn’t so “out of the box”. I did most of the planning but Kristen was always there to help me figure out something or let me come in & measure. She was an excellent resource to talk to about ideas! I was a little worried our set up would be on us, but her team at the Crofoot did everything. I dropped off the decorations the day before & walked into the most amazing wedding reception I could have ever hoped for! Walking into the Crofoot the night of our reception was incredible. They had a red carpet out, the door man looks so cool with his hat, & the velvet ropes just gave it the perfect touch! I hadn’t asked for that & loved the added touch! Our day of coordinator, Mary, was marvelous. She was always there to help, answer questions, keeping us on time, & get us drinks while we waited for our entrance. The security & bar tenders were first-rate – great attitudes, always smiling, attentive. I have received amazing feedback from our vendors as well. Our band was so impressed with their sound staff, our photographer loved shooting in the Crofoot – lots of hidden gems ladies!!! (Like an amazing chandelier in an awesome hidden stairwell). If you are looking for a unique, beautiful venue with excellent, attentive staff then you found it in the Crofoot. We got our WOW factor!

p set up the centerpieces when it was clear they weren't getting done with the help I had wrangled up. I rented a fog machine, which was so cool! It made for a really dramatic entrance, and kept a cool hazy atmosphere. The lighting was amazing too! Everyone said the venu was so unique and cool, and that they had never been to a better wedding. They also provided really good security. A security person even followed us around while taking photos outside, just to make sure we stayed safe. There was also someone in the parking lot booth the whole time, as well. My only downside is to be REALLY CLEAR as to when the bar should be an open bar and when it should be cash. I thought I had iterated a number of times that I didn't want the bar to open until 6, that is what I put on the invites, on the map cards from the ceremony, and on the schedules I had sent around to all my vendors. I had also planned on closing bar at dinner. However they started serving drinks at 5, served through dinner and tried to close the bar to cash at 9. I take responsibility for not closing over dinner, it's possible I only talked about it to the caterer and my parents, not to Kristen. However them not charging for drinks before 6 was all on them, I had made it very clear when I expected things to start. My matron of honor got it straightened out, though, and they kept the bar open to 10 without extra charge. So I give them full credit for making things right in the end! If you want a truly memorable reception, this is a fantastic place!
