Absolutely excellent from start to finish and the best value reception venue in the metro area. Helpful and courteous staff, beautiful grounds, and the logistics day of went off perfectly.
We had our son's wedding there this weekend! Couldn't be happier with the experience! Staff, food, atmosphere all great experience. Very helpful and accommodating in preparation for the special day!
From the beginning, Jenny and her team were a breeze to work with. We had looked all around the NOLA area and just couldn’t find a venue that fit our budget AND our theme, until we found The Crossing.
With the beautiful exposed brick interior and the Cedar Patio addition, The Crossing had everything and more that we were looking for.
The team was very responsive and handled everything for us. The Day Of on-site coordinator was just the best. It was recorded breaking heat, and she made sure we were comfortable at all times, even fanning us during our formal photos and supplied us with plenty of water.
We were able to do a food tasting, and got a pretty good idea of what we wanted. We added a hot dog stand and it was a hit.
We were also able to do a private meeting with one of their staff members, Melissa, who walked us through what the day would look like, as well as let us pick out our decor. It was so reassuring to see how everything would be laid out.
Our rehearsal was wonderful and Melissa was there every step to make sure it ran smoothly for the rehearsal and day of.
Our guests RAVED about the food and drink menus. A week later, people are still calling us and telling us how beautiful the venue was and how delicious the food was. We couldn’t agree more.
Everything about our day was perfect, even in the heat, and it was all because of Jenny and her wonderful team.
Our wedding day was everything we wanted it to be. The food is pheromonal, we still have people telling us how good it was. The venue itself is so pretty and exactly what I wanted. They were very easy to work with and answered my emails, calls, and texts within hours of sending. They took care of EVERYTHING! We didn't have to lift a finger. They have such beautiful linens and centerpieces you don't have to worry about buying anything else! The staff was beyond amazing and I can not thank them enough for everything!
THE CROSSING WAS AMAZING!!! It is the perfect size (we had 150 guests). We had plenty of dance floor space, walking room, eating areas, and standing room. The staff is simply amazing!!! I can't get over how attentive they were to me throughout the whole process!!! Jenny (the owner) is the most wonderful person in the whole wedding-business-world!!! Thank you
My wedding ceremony & reception was a wonderful experience at The Crossing! All staff that I interacted with was helpful and compassionate in the crazy planning season we are currently in. My plans change a few times due to the pandemic, but every new request was met! My guest all said it was the best wedding experience they had been to. It was easy and had the New Orleans vibe that I wanted for my big day! The food was also 10/10... my guests are still talking about it!
The Crossing is an absolutely beautiful venue. The staff was so easy to work with before the wedding and made everything easy to plan. The day of the wedding, everything was perfect. The food was AMAZING! All of the guests were raving about all the different options and how good everything was. They made the entire day as easy as possible. All of the staff was so friendly. I'm so glad I chose The Crossing.
Jenn and the staff were amazing to work with. My husband has severe food allergies and they were able to accommodate our needs and help us with everything to make sure our day was perfect. The food for our guests was delicious; we got so many compliments. We had a D.J. with the dance floor in the middle of the room. No one left the dance floor the entire time, but it never felt too crowded. The venue was perfect!
The Crossing was the best place to have our wedding and reception! Jenny and D.J. were very accommodating to us and worked with us every step of the way. We were able to get a tour of the place and fell in love with it almost immediately. We had a date in mind set and even though the Italian Festival was down the street in the same weekend, Jenny and D.J. worked with us to make sure that the parking and timeline was figured out to keep our minds at ease.
The venue is a little on the smaller side for anything larger than 250 but it worked so well for us and our 200 guests despite having a whole band set up and lots of tables and there was still plenty of dance floor space. Since we had a larger number of guests, they set up a tent on the outside for more seating and an outside bartender. We had our ceremony outside and it was so beautiful! Even with our Photo Booth, our wedding guests turned the exposed brick walls as a backdrop for pictures and I loved that.
They were patient with us for every question we had and every change we wanted to make. The food that they had with LaBella's Catering was delicious too! Thankfully they have a taste testing every quarter for people to come try out the food and even though we didn't get a whole lot to eat for ourselves that night, they made sure to pack us up some containers of the food and cake for us after. Everything was perfect and there wasn't a thing that we had to worry about the day of the wedding! The only thing that upset me was that we had 4 cakes for the reception and didn't realize that they cut up all the cakes and give them to the guests in to-go boxes because I really wanted to have a good bit of the cakes to bring home since we knew we weren't going to be able to enjoy it that night. But even so, that's just something that we should have communicated with them, so if you want to have more than a slice of your cake to take home - talk to them about it and see if it's possible!
I can't even imagine a day any better that doesn't involve the Crossing and their phenomenal staff. Jenny and DJ were with me from the beginning, understanding every inch of the vision we had, while incorporating ideas they had from prior events. Our guests are still raving about the taste and quality of the food! They also loved the ambience of the exposed brick and indoor/outdoor seating options, and the light wall was perfection.
It doesn't seem like much, but go check them out - you will not regret it!!!!!
My husband and I truly loved planning our special day with the team at the Crossing. They were so responsive and helpful and we loved that the venue was ALL inclusive from food to linens down to help with decor! We had many in town and out of town guests and they all commented on the beautiful and fun ambiance as well as the delicious food!
Jennifer and her team completely showed out for my wedding in September! Simply beautiful, the food was amazing, Chris was our personal attendant and was PHENOMENAL! My guests have reached out several times about the venue for their own weddings coming up!
Words can't describe how beautiful and welcoming this venue is, you must go view this fairytale place! My wubby and I wanted a intimate wedding with only our closes friends and family (about 35 ppl), the Crossing was the perfect setting for our ceremony and reception . Our ceremony was held outside on their covered patio, romantically decorated with luxe curtains, candles, fireplace, & rose pedals sprinkled down the aisle to give you an idea. The Crossing took care of the catering, the food was delish and served to us. Our reception was held inside, even though the space is intimate it's large enough for dancing, DJ, we also had a photo booth, snowball stand, & more with out feeling cramped. We truly loved our experience with the Crossing.
Punctuality
I absolutely loved my venue!! I love DJ and Ms. Jenny everyone was so nice and made my wedding everything I have ever dreamed of!!! It was beyond amazing and the food was so delicious. Thank you guys for giving me the best wedding ever!!1
I recently had my ceremony and reception here March 2018. As an out of town bride, I had to rely a lot on the coordinators at the Crossing to keep things running smoothly. They were able to provide me with tea light holders, vases, linens, and set/break everything down. They were very helpful during the rehearsal and the day of the wedding. Everyone raved about the food and the railroad was the absolute best backdrop for all my wedding pictures. Everything turned out exactly how I had envisioned, and I highly recommend this beautiful venue.
The Crossing was beautiful for our reception on April 7. From start to finish, they had us organized and having a great time. Our guests raved about the food. The lighting was beautiful and the bars were rolling out drinks for our guests. DJ and staff were very accommodating and checking in on us throughout the night. They also had cake bags for the guests as they were leaving and had packed up some extra food for us to enjoy after the reception. DJ was extremely helpful in the entire planning process. She gave us great ideas and helped us out along the way. We were also able to participate in a tasting at the venue which was a great way to pick out our food selection. Everything was perfect and I am so happy with their service, food and hospitality. LOVE!
I just recently had my wedding ceremony and reception here. Overall, the place is beautiful and we had a great time. I just have a few minor complaints. We asked several times about the train and had it ever passed during a ceremony but was told no the first time. The second time we asked was during the day-of planning and was told, "Oh, only one time." During rehearsal, we asked again because of course, the train passed right around the time we would be having the ceremony and was told it had happened twice. The bridal suite was not cleared out as there were many items and only one chair available for use. Food was great and everything looked lovely, better than what I envisioned for my wedding. We made a few small requests and were accommodated. They were not overbearing which was great. The process was easy and stress-free. This was a great spot for my small wedding!
I had my wedding and reception at The Crossing on 11/10/17 and it was absolutely amazing!!!! Everything was perfect, the owners, the staff.... everyone!!!! I received so many compliments about The Crossing!!! They make everything so easy for you!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!! Thank you for everything!
Awesome venue at an affordable price! The venue has a lot of character with wooden floors and brick walls. The venue also supplies so many extras such as cake stand, table linens, vases, candle holders, etc! Also, owner Jenny is super helpful with getting things organized. They will even set up a satellite food and drink station under a tent outside if you have enough guests to alleviate crowds at no extra charge! Definitely recommend!
I couldn't have been happier with The Crossing! The gals who run the place are fantastic and were always available for the random question. We did a tasting with Jenny so that we could pick the menu. Nancy was kind enough to offer a closet full of decor that we could use free of charge. We wound up bringing our own candle holders, but she put candles in them for free! The exposed brick on the building made for wonderful photo ops. I was worried about the size of the venue, but we had more than 100 people and there was plenty of room. Guests raved about how wonderful the food was. One of the employees was always on hand to let me know what was coming up next, keep us on schedule, and make sure I had a glass of wine or water at all times. I can't say enough good about this place. You've gotta go check it out for yourself!
Everyone at The Crossing was fantastic. They were very accommodating of our date; even with another event scheduled that morning, they were still able to make everything look great for our evening wedding reception. The majority of our guests keep mentioning how great the food was and how lovely the space was. The attendant who kept checking on my husband and I was incredible. She made sure that I ate, even when I wouldn't sit down for long periods of time. Everyone was good with communication and made this whole process an enjoyable experience for my husband and I and everyone else involved. They even took the time to cut and bag the leftover cake that we didn't want to take home and pass it around for people to take home with them. We can't say enough great things about our wedding reception there.
We had the most beautiful weddings at The Crossings and I truly feel we got a phenomenal deal. The Crossings makes it so easy to do business, all their packages come with pretty much everything you need, including a wedding coordinator! Our wedding coordinator, Becca was phenomenal! I highly recommend The Crossings for a wedding venue if you are looking to have a gorgeous outdoor ceremony with spectacular views and for a steal of a deal!
I had my wedding reception at The Crossing on June 4, 2016. My reception was absolutely perfect. With about 220 guests in attendance, we used the outside space with extended tent. We booked our day with Jenny who is very laid back and knowledgeable on all things venue and decor. Then, Nancy, our day of coordinator was super easy and cool to work with. Angie was our bridal attendant and she was a lot of fun, and more importantly, kept us happy the entire night! The staff even had umbrellas waiting on us when we arrived because it was storming! All of my guests raved about the food-ask to have your 15 minutes of dinner in the bridal suite before the party starts because the food and time with your new husband will be so worth it.
It's a no-brainer that you want to have your reception at The Crossing. There is more than enough parking for all of your guests. You have tons of photo opportunities along the beautiful Rivertown street and the railroad tracks, and The Crossing is within 15 minutes of so many gorgeous Metairie and Kenner churches.
Leading up to the wedding, I was a little nervous because The Crossing staff is very busy, so I didn't receive the quickest responses, but FEAR NOT! your day will be perfect and everything will come together shortly before.
