My husband and I had our wedding at the Currituck Club. We utilized the ceremony area at hole 7 and the veranda behind the club house. The venue itself was BEAUTIFUL and exceeded m...
y expectations.
During the course of wedding planning, I had quite a few issues with the venue coordinators themselves. Throughout the year of planning, I had 4 different coordinators. First Nicole, she was FANTASTIC however she did end up leaving which we very much understand.
After Nicole, Whitney took over and she was also great however, she also ended up leaving TCC for personal reasons.
The next venue coordinator we had was Jena. Jena was nice and responsive however she did drop the ball during our food tasting. My husband and I drove 4 hours for this just to be told that she had forgot we were coming. Because of this we weren't able to taste the food we wanted to because the kitchen was not prepared. Jena ended up leaving and Nicole stepped in as interim venue coordinator.
The Currituck Club then found Raymond to step in. Raymond was kind when we did speak however, it was extremely hard to get him to respond to emails/phone calls. Especially two weeks before the wedding.
Once we got to the Currituck Club the day of the wedding, I found out that Raymond wasn't going to be on site at all. This was extremely disappointing to us as we expected him to be there and received no heads up that he would be absent. I then went to utilize the bridal suite to get ready however couldn't because the AC was not working. Apparently it had been broken for weeks but I was never once notified. We ended up using the upstairs lounge to get ready. There was also a tent set up next to the veranda for an event the day after my wedding which I was not made aware of until the day of my wedding. This was an eyesore and extremely disheartening after everything else that had already happened.
The only saving grace (other than my wedding coordinator, Bethany Allen) and the very reason why I am still giving TCC 3 stars was because of Keleia (F&B Manager) and the other F&B attendants. They were so kind and did a great job attending to all of the guests. All of my guests were RAVING about how attentive the servers/bartenders were. The food turned out excellent despite my hiccup with the food tasting. HUGE thank you to Keleia and her team as they truly went above and beyond.
All in all, F&B and the Venue itself was great. Too bad TCC cannot keep their event coordinators... or at least the good ones.
We looked at a lot of venues in the Outer Banks and we were so happy with our decision to go with the Currituck Club. We got married in August 2021 and everything was perfect. Whit...
ney the Private Events Manager was a pleasure to work with! She was super helpful during the planning process all the way up to the day of the wedding. She made sure everything ran smoothly. We had the ceremony on the 7th hole of the golf course facing the sound side and the reception was at the clubhouse. Both locations were gorgeous. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. It was the perfect venue for our destination beach wedding!!
This is the dream venue. Truly. From the gorgeous backdrop of the sound ceremony to the trolley rides for guests to the AMAZING team that makes the day go smoothly, it truly couldn...
't be a better venue.
Nicole and her team made everything so simple for us, even as we moved our entire wedding with a 1-month notice!! They offered us all-inclusive food, drink, and even more decorations, like an arch for the ceremony and reception centerpieces!!
I wish I could get married here every year!
We absolutely loved working with Liz and Nicole! We booked in 2018 and had a wedding date of 5/30/20. The planning process was made so simple because The Currituck Club provides so...
much! Even when we had to reschedule due to COVID-19, Nicole worked with us to look at our options. After rescheduling, The Currituck Club was accommodating and understanding when we needed to make even more changes. We did our wedding at the 7th hole (9/26/20). Our guests were amazed at how beautiful everything was. Not only were the views gorgeous, but the service was great. We both felt super confident that our day would be beautiful because of the competence of The Currituck Club staff. They really understood how much this day meant to us and made it so we wouldn't be concerned about anything on our big day. I definitely recommend booking!!
We really loved working with Nicole (and Liz!) at The Currituck Club. I don't think they told us no - ever. If we wanted it to happen for our wedding day, they found a way to make ...
it possible. I think the only thing I wasn't thrilled about was that my vendors ate before me & my groom, therefore my photographer came and grabbed us to go do sunset photos before we got to eat. We came back to cold food. I don't really "fault" the venue for this though - it was just a scheduling thing and everything tends to fall into place in its own way during an event rather than on whatever schedule you set no matter how hard you try to keep things "on schedule." But overall, our experience with them was amazing. Hurricane Dorian created some damage to their roof just prior to our wedding, and they had things cleaned up as if nothing had happened by the end of the week when we were getting married! Nicole was out on the property hoofing it with the rest of the staff and my wedding planner - she really helped make everything come together! We really appreciated our experience with these guys and highly recommend them!
The Currituck Club was the perfect location for our wedding. We had our ceremony on the 7th hole of the golf course and it was truly like a fairytale. The sun and the water in the ...
background made for the perfect ceremony. The reception was held under the veranda at the clubhouse and there were heaters available in case guests were chilly along with a fire pit outside. The food was absolutely delicious as well. My bridal party and I were able to get ready in the bridal suite which made it a fun morning of relaxation before it was time to go.
Liz was the BEST at helping with our wedding. She responded to all of my random questions very quickly and her and her team set up all of my decorations I brought for the reception exactly how I would have imagined. It's like she knew my vision and put it into action. It was extremely refreshing knowing she had everything under control so it would all go smoothly. Liz is a true rockstar! Best venue in the OBX for sure!
The Currituck Club is a dream come true! The 7th hole, where you can have your ceremony, is the most picturesque place you can imagine. They set up the space beautifully and the vi...
ew is unreal. Aside from the beauty, their service is top notch! Their day of coordinator, Liz, is unbelievably helpful. I must have sent 100 different emails and she answered every single one within days at the latest. She is so sweet and makes your wedding day stress-free! I highly recommend using this venue for your wedding! You will not regret it!

urrituck Club, we had to come and see it. This venue is absolutely gorgeous. We had our ceremony on the golf coarse near the water and it was everything i ever wanted. The reception was held near the club house under the open veranda and there was so much space and room to work with! My guests loved the flow of the wedding from having a trolly taken out to the ceremony site, to coming back to the clubhouse and up to the lounge with a fire place for the cocktail hour to the reception area covered (due to the cold weather in March). The whole staff from the coordinators Tarynn and Liz, to even the staff who helped with handing our cake out, the bartender, and the helpful people who cleaned up. Tarynn was amazing, she helped my husband and I every step of the way from setting up our tasting to any questions we could possibly think of. The food was exceptional as well! All of our guests who stated they had been to multiple weddings over the years said the food we served at our wedding from The Currituck Club was the best they had ever had! Thank you to everyone at The Curritcuk club who made our day the best! Everything ran smooth and I would change anything.
Absolutely beautiful venue and wonderful people. We had to deal with some rain and had to use their covered reception area as a back-up plan. It was still decorated beautifully an...
d set up with no issues. Vonnie was wonderful. Food was great and staff were attentive and friendly.
Our reception took place at the Currituck Club, and was fantastic. Ashley and Taylor were great at helping us figure out what we needed, how to set-up the event, and making my visi...
on come to life. They were available when we visited to help us look around and spent time with us in the days before the wedding making sure everything went smoothly. Beyond that, they were fun people - as was everyone else at the Club. It was a great experience. On the day of the wedding, everything was set-up beyond perfectly. We had brought a lot of decor and DIY ideas. They helped bring everything to life and took the pressure and anxiety off of my mom, my bridesmaids, and I. It was a great help! The food was delicious and we've received so many compliments. I had a vision in mind with lots of food stations and a whole dessert room. It came together perfectly, and Ashley really helped us figure out how to make that work while not blowing the budget. The whole event flowed smoothly and if anything went wrong I wasn't aware of it and it was handled quickly and smoothly. Overall, I couldn't have been happier!
We absolutely loved the Currituck Club! They have the most beautiful back drop for a sound front ceremony. This was one of the main reasons we chose this place. Ashley and Taylor a...
re wonderful to work with. Their food is also fantastic and it is very impressive presentation. Everyone raved on our venue, we couldn't be more happy with our choice! The pictures say it all!
Ashley at the Currituck Club really goes above and beyond to make your day perfect. Throughout the whole process she quickly responded to emails and phone calls with all of our que...
stions. Even when she was swamped with other weddings, she made us feel like we were a priority and not imposing on her duties. On the day of the event, there was a bit of rain, troublesome for a soundside ceremony. As a result, Ashley and her staff kept track of the radar and were able to make the call to delay the ceremony by 15 min, have a pre-ceremony cocktail reception, and then shuttle everyone out to the event site. IT worked flawlessly!!!
The other thing we noticed was that Ashley, and her staff, literally busted their butts the entire night for us, making sure our reception went off with out a hitch. They put out all of our decorations, set everything up, and tore everything down. We did doughnuts as our dessert and parting gifts, they even put together the small boxes we purchased for our guests (we had intended the guests to put them together themselves), and put doughnuts in the boxes! I've participated in many family weddings where the coordinator simply makes sure the main milestones occur on time and everyone is where they need to be. Ashley and her staff take it a bit further by actually helping with decor/teardown and keeping everything straight.
Its truly an above and beyond type of service that you won't find anywhere else.
The overall venue is gorgeous and the staff prepares nicely the day of. Leading up to the wedding the events coordinator made a lot of crucial time sensitive oversights that were ...
somewhat stressful. She was very slow in returning calls and emails and I felt like I spent a lot of time tracking her down. The night of dessert was never served to my guests, and they were grabbing it on their way out the door to their shuttles. I had no idea. Overall though, the wedding was beautiful and the ceremony site breathtaking. They know what they are doing, but forget a lot that this is your first wedding and you don't know how they "usually do things". If I could do it again I would wish for way better communication from event coordinator.
I was married at The Currituck Club during the middle of a hurricane, so all of our original plans (getting married at the BEAUTIFUL sound-side ceremony space and having an outdoor...
reception) needed to change the day before. Ashley and her team were incredible! We were able to move the ceremony undercover and the reception inside. Everything was beautiful and perfectly executed, especially for all the last minute changes! The team was very easy to communicate with throughout the planning process and were even more amazing when we got there the week of the wedding. The food was spectacular!!! The staff was on point and our guests had an awesome time. If you want to be married in the Outer Banks, you need to look at The Currituck Club!! I can't say enough about how perfect our wedding was because of The Currituck Club!!
We had our Rehearsal Dinner and Reception at The Currituck Club. The staff did an excellent job! The food was so good. Everyone had such a great time! As we were eating our sala...
ds we had to move inside due to a major storm. The staff got everyone inside and then served dinner right away with no delay. They were very accommadating. We were able to go back outside again to dance under the pavillion after dinner! Everything went so smoothly given the weather situation.
We had our rehearsal dinner, ceremony and reception all at the Currituck Club. The food was phenominal! Everything tasted as good if not better than at the tasting. The filet migno...
n you could cut with a butter knife. The staff was helpful but the event coordination was lacking and needed more strong direction. The event coordinator was not proactive and could not be found most of the night. Even my family members complained that when this person was asked questions, they got a confused look or an answer of "I don't know" from them. We booked the Currituck Club with the understanding that an onsite coordinator was included but in terms of what we saw, it felt as if most of the evenings events were either directed by our minister, DJ or ourselves. Other than the poor event coordination, the venue was beautiful, layout was great and food was everything it was promised to be and more. We got more compliments on the venue itself and delicious food. Definitely worth the cost but do yourself a favor and have your own mistress of ceremonies or have a "go to" person to field questions and move your evenings events along.
We had our rehearsal dinner and after Rehearsal Dinner party here, everything was great! We did the Carolina BBQ for the dinner and it was delicious. The after party was downstairs...
and the location was perfect.
We had our ceremony and reception here and the staff was very friendly and helpful. It was a beautiful location and I would highly recommend this site to other brides.
I had high hopes when I booked the Currituck Club for my reception. It is a beautiful venue, and the food tasted delicious at our tasting. However, when the day of the wedding came...
, the service fell short. The wedding coordinator had promised to have an attendant at our guestbook table in order to assist with the photo guestbook. There was no attendant at the table and only about 5 people signed, after we paid a good amount of money for a portable printer and setup. Also, it was a very hot day, and even though our cake was inside, it began melting, and they were not prepared to deal with this issue. In addition, the food was somewhat cold when it was served to guests, which is odd because it was so hot outside! Otherwise it was a beautiful venue and they were efficient in serving drinks and arranging of payment for the bill at the end.
i used the currituck club as both my ceremony and reception site, and i could not have been more pleased. the location is a great indoor/outdoor mix with their covered veranda and ...
it was exactly what i had hoped for. the coordinator there is amazing. it was such a relief to work with someone who knew all the right questions to ask and who could make sure i was getting everything done that i needed to. i was able to drop off all my stuff earlier in the week with post-its for where everything should go, and on the day of, everything was exactly where i had wanted it. i really can't say enough great things about all the gals at the currituck club. they're the main reason i wasn't at all stressed in the week leading up to the wedding.
in addition to that great service, the food there was absolutely amazing. i wouldn't have changed a single thing in regards to the venue!
