I wish I could give TCG a glowing review- after all, that's why I decided to hire Carmen to do my wedding in December. Meeting her, she was lovely- so friendly, kind, & passionate about what she does. Unfortunately, my bouquets and bouts were t...otally wrong- wrong colors, types, etc. Here are the facts:
- When we met, I discussed w/ her & gave her photos of exactly what I wanted. Dark moody tones, not too Christmasy- We talked & confirmed everything 3 weeks before the wedding.
- Carmen delivered the flowers to my hotel the morning of the wedding- from what I could see they looked beautiful (they were in boxes & I was in the middle of getting my hair/makeup done). When I was finished, I looked more closely. They were so wrong:
- The bouquets were ALL ROSES, some bright red, & missing a lot of colors & fillers that were seen in my inspo pic. Not at all what we'd discussed.
- The groomsmen only had greens in their boutonnieres- they were each supposed to have a flower.
-Pictures were in 45 min, so there was no time for me to call her to come back/fix them somehow.
-I messaged Carmen on Dec 15 (3 days post-wedding) to thank her for delivering the flowers, but said that I was disappointed & asked if there had been some kind of mix-up in the notes or ordering for my flowers. She apologized & said she'd check her notes- even send them to me- & asked what she could do to make it up to us.
-I didn't hear back for 2 weeks, wrote another email after we'd gotten some pics back. The bouquets/colors totally changed the entire look I'd wanted for our wedding party. I asked to please see her notes. She responded by saying she was going to consult her lawyer. I said by no means am I trying to make a legal case out of this! I just wanted an explanation & to discuss a refund.
-A few days later, she had to cancel her meeting with her lawyer, but wrote "I am not sure what I am able to share with you or tell you that would make you feel any better other than it was an error on my part & I greatly apologize. Please let me know what I can do to rectify this." Again I asked to discuss a refund with her.
-I didn't hear from her for 8 days, I emailed her again about discussing a refund FOR THE 3rd TIME. She replied "I will not do a refund. Sorry. You received flowers that were beautiful and you even stated that when I dropped off. I will consider doing a credit." Yes, from what I could see (while in the middle of getting ready) they looked good- they were in a box so I didn't notice how wrong they were until I had a chance to see them more up-close.
-At this point, I felt like she was saying "well they were still pretty so you should be happy with them." It's not about prettiness- they were wrong!
-Several more emails, she sent me the notes. Her notes mostly made sense, but were also missing a lot of details. However, she had a picture to go off of as well. There was NOTHING about "red" "pink" "roses" or "ferns" in her notes from our discussion.
-I replied with my concerns, pointed out the differences in the order compared to the bouquet we'd discussed.
- I'm devastated that my pics & video will be full of the wrong flowers, wrong colors, that didn't go at all with the rest of the wedding in my opinion.
-I'm so frustrated that she asked multiple times what she can do to rectify it, yet made no reasonable offers to do so.
- Multiple wedding professionals have seen my inspo pic & pics of the bouquets I received, & agree I have reason to be upset.
