After countless hours of research and a handful of carefully selected visits, my now-husband and I found ourselves at the Cypress Grove Estate House. We knew from the moment we drove down the driveway that it would be the last venue we needed to see. From the perfectly crafted ambiance throughout the property to the incredible attention to detail, it was everything we'd hoped for and more.
After we booked our date, Sarah and I stayed in regular contact as I planned the big day. I only had a day-of coordinator and had little experience with weddings, but her expertise and willingness to help made all the difference in my wedding planning process.
Three days before my wedding, I experienced every bride's worst nightmare - I looked at the forecast and saw rain. Sarah and the other Cypress Grove staff were lifesavers as they helped me make last-minute adjustments to our plans, but as an admitted control-freak, I was still a bit worried. The morning of though, I arrived to find everything taken care of. Collaborating with my coordinator, the staff had everything under control, with plans A-Z ready to execute to perfection. I didn't have to worry about a thing. The rain ended up holding off until just moments after the end of our ceremony, and all of our guests were ushered into the tent for cocktail hour just in time. Despite some things not going according to plan, our wedding day felt perfect, and was described by many of of our guests as "the best wedding they'd ever been to." I have no doubt that we had our incredible venue and its wonderful staff to thank for that.
Looking back now, I can't imagine having had our wedding at any other venue than the Cypress Grove Estate House. The natural beauty of the property allowed us to save on decor and florals, because we didn't have to create a beautiful setting - the venue was stunning on its own. Every detail had been thought of to help a wedding run smoothly: from the convenient location (near hotels and vendors), to the templates and guidance we received to help us plan our big day.
A word of caution:
Wedding venues are expensive. If you have yours here it will probably not be an exception. We ended up spending more than I'd planned, especially with the last-minute addition of a tent and corresponding lighting. However, I have no doubt that with careful planning and realistic expectations, it would certainly be possible to stay within your budget here.
Some pieces of advice:
1. The sooner you can book, the more likely you are to get your ideal date. With that being said though, if your goal date is already taken here, I'd advise being flexible. We did this and ended up with a Friday wedding. It was well worth it.
2. If you don't already have your heart set on certain vendors, seriously consider the vendors on Cypress Grove's Recommended Vendors list. If you like the Cypress Grove staff, you will probably like most of these people. Plus, they've all already worked together, which makes everything easier!
3. When in doubt, reach out to the staff. Sarah, and Kim when Sarah wasn't available, helped me with everything from reception table layout to choosing decor details. This venue is worth booking for their expertise alone.
Overall, I can't thank the Cypress Grove Estate House and its staff enough for making my wedding day (and planning process) better than I could have ever imagined. They truly made all the difference.
Book this venue. You will not regret it.
