I can't recommend The Dalcy enough! It's such a stunning venue, and having our cocktail hour at Aba made the night even more special. Even weeks later, friends/family are still reaching out to rave about the incredible food and exceptional service! We were also so lucky to have Emma as our event coordinator. She was outstanding and played a huge role in making our wedding so seamless and memorable! Emma is incredibly organized, professional, and efficient, while also being so warm and approachable. We trusted her guidance/recommendations every step of the way, and we're so glad we did! Choosing The Dalcy—and having Emma on our team—were two of the best decisions we made. We couldn't recommend them more highly!

Emma was hands down our favorite person we worked with throughout the entire wedding process. From the moment we toured The Dalcy, she had this warmth that immediately put us at ease. I am sure she makes all of her couples feel this way, but it genuinely felt like she was cheering us on from the very beginning and that she was fully invested in our day. We left that first tour knowing that if Emma was part of our team, everything would be okay. The space itself is incredible. It has this cool, modern feel that somehow still feels warm, and it really allows you to make it your own. One of the biggest things I cared about for our wedding was having genuinely good food, and the fact that The Dalcy is connected with Aba made that a reality. Our cocktail reception in Aba was such a highlight, and the food throughout the night was the best I have ever had at a wedding. Everything came out hot and on time, and our guests are still talking about it. Throughout the entire year of planning, Emma never dropped a single detail. I still do not understand how she keeps everything so organized when she is constantly running events, but she was steady and thoughtful every step of the way. Every meeting, every email, every walkthrough, every tasting, and every dance practice, she showed up with the same bubbly, supportive, professional energy. She is incredible at what she does, and it was truly a pleasure to work with her. You can tell a lot about a person by how they treat the people around them, and watching her and Olga together was one of the most refreshing parts of the whole experience. Their dynamic was so natural and fun, and you could tell they genuinely enjoy working together. They are such a well oiled team, and that energy carried straight into the wedding day. On the day itself, Olga took care of us in a way that felt almost intuitive. She always seemed to appear at the exact moment we needed something, even before we realized we needed it. She stocked our bridal suite with every drink we could have wanted and made sure we didn’t miss a single passed appetizer during cocktail hour. She kept everything moving so smoothly without ever making it feel rushed. The day was beautiful from start to finish. The food was incredible, the service was flawless, and the space felt like it was made for us. Emma and Olga were at the heart of all of it, and we are so grateful for everything they did to make our wedding feel so special.

Located in Chicago, IL, the Dalcy is a historic wedding venue. It is found in an iconic building in the Fulton Market District area of the Windy City. This banquet hall has maintained elements of the building’s original structure, including exposed brick walls and arched windows. These elements of grandeur are complemented by stunning Italian porcelain floors and chandeliers, lending an air of classic elegance to the venue. The Dalcy radiates sophistication and luxury through every aspect of its decor. From the valet parking to the designer installations, this space offers a breathtaking background for your wedding photos. From the rooftop setting, you can take in the fresh air and marvel at the city that surrounds you. For your convenience, the team at this event hall has created various packages to help you discover what you want from your day. The Dalcy welcomes weddings with up to 600 guests, but more intimate gatherings are also accommodated. The banquet hall can be divided into smaller spaces for intimate events with as few as 30 guests. Altogether, it has 10,000 square feet of event space across the hall and the rooftop patio. The hall’s dedicated chef works closely with couples to custom-create a menu for their wedding, from cocktails to desserts. Personalized menu cards can then be produced to complete the attention to detail. Included in the venue’s platinum event package is a range of deluxe culinary services. These include a tableside wine service, a bakery bar, and a four-hour premium bar. A three-course meal is included as standard with all plans. Designer linens and cocktail tables are provided to enhance your celebratory reception. These details maintain a connection with the venue’s overall sophisticated theme. To enhance both the ceremony and reception, you can avail of the hall’s wireless microphones and professional sound system. Maureen Larson is a Lettuce Entertain You Partner with Aba & The Dalcy as well as The Ivy Room. Maureen's passion for the hospitality industry was sparked between her Freshman & Sophomore year of college during a summer job at The Drake Hotel. She immediately loved meeting people from around the world and making their stay unforgettable. Switching colleges she headed off to the University of Wisconsin Stout majoring in Hotel and Restaurant Management. After several years in the hotel industry, she joined Lettuce Entertain You in 1991 pursuing a career in sales and catering. Maureen worked at many Lettuce restaurants including Brasserie Jo, Papagus and Bub City as a Sales and Catering Manager and then Divisional Director of Sales. In the early 2000’s Maureen moved to the LEYE corporate office eventually becoming the Vice President of Parties and Special Events. In 2015 she became a Partner in Lettuce Entertain You’s first event venue The Ivy Room followed by The Dalcy Event Hall in the Summer of 2018. Maureen has two children who she says she learns so much from each and every day. She has a passion for helping develop young women leaders, is a sports enthusiast (Go Bears and Cubs!), and loves serving on several boards in the city of Chicago.

ld tell from our first tour that their professionalism, service, and skill was unmatched and we were so beyond thrilled with the final product. They work very hard to make everything as easy as possible, ready to make any of our ideas come to life, even if they had never done them before. Planning was all so easy and they are very responsive. The entire staff the day of our wedding was absolutely magical. Everyone was so kind, professional, and helpful, from the servers, to the bartenders, to the other event staff. Also, their food and drink menu simply cannot be beaten. We had multiple guests rave about the food and service, even saying it was by far the best wedding meal they had. They do a great job of making sure the space is exactly as envisioned, seamlessly working with all of our venders to ensure everything goes smoothly that there is nothing left to do, but enjoy the fruits of our labor and party. I tell everyone I know that they are the absolute best in the business and that I cannot recommend them enough!

If she didn't have an immediate answer, she would do her due diligence and come back to us same day or next day with all of the information and more. Emma and the entire Dalcy team went above and beyond to make sure our event went so smooth. Our head table had VIP servers who took care of every need. Following the event, so many of our guests complimented how incredible the staff was. Besides the incredible customer service, the venue and the food are amazing - our guests were speechless that this could be wedding food!

The staff is so on top of everything- we even had our own server attending to our needs the entire evening and re-filling the bridal suite. It made it incredibly convenient the space handled all of the food, beverage, tables, chairs, linens, napkins, and beautiful decor already built-in to the space. It made the planning process so much easier. Not to mention the food and beverage is high-end restaurant quality and the portions are plenty. Emma was absolutely fabulous and was so patient with every single question that we asked and customization we made in our menu selection. She was truly a pleasure to work and is amazing at her job. Up to the last second she was so on top of things and understanding of last minute changes. We wish we could do it all over again!

Throughout the planning process, all the way through to the end of our reception, we were constantly reaffirmed that exceptional drinks, food and event service were a given with The Dalcy and not an extra up-charge. Working with Liz H. throughout the planning process was seamless – she is responsive, organized, creative and accommodating beyond her job description. Our guests raved about the food, service and the beauty of the event space (emphasis on the women’s bathroom the large standing mirrors). We’re still dreaming of every moment of this evening, but especially the private moments we were able to have in the bridal suite with dedicated drinks and hors d’oeuvres. Our reception at The Dalcy was beyond anything that we could’ve envisioned and we can’t recommend it enough!

inning when we weren't 100% sure what we wanted and provided us with ample options. She was kind and patient with our five million questions. She was confident and helped as plan with ease. This venue is all inclusive which made planning so much easier and less stressful. The staff on our wedding day were so attentive; they knew what we needed before we even knew! The food was out of this world delicious and they made sure we actually ate! We will be comparing all lobster bisques to theirs and I'm certain all will pale in comparison. SO good! And don't get me started on their Oh My! Caramel Pie...the best dessert hands down. The space itself is stunning. Whether you're a couple that's no fuss and/or a minimalist, or a couple that wants the most out of your ambiance, this space can accommodate it all. We went minimal and the space looked great. As our wedding day was rather stressful prior to the ceremony, our plan for the décor for the ceremony fell through. Liz and her team came to the rescue and made our "altar" beautiful with plants and décor from around the venue and adjoining restaurant! Overall, this is a fantastic venue and highly recommend!

ning decor to helping us nail down all the little details. We had about 230 people for our reception and it was a great size for that group. The rooftop patio cocktail hour was a dream. The food was to die for (also a huge plus that they handle all catering — makes planning so much easier). And then there were the day-of details that made it spectacular. Tricia arranged for us to have time in the bridal suite to have cocktail hour snacks, a few drinks, etc. alone as a couple. It was amazing have that alone time during such a crazy day (and amazing to be able to run back to the suite whenever we wanted!). I cannot say enough about how wonderful it was. I wish I could do it all over again!

s questions, accommodating last minute requests to come see the venue, helped us select the best food and wines….I could go on all day about what she did for us, and also want to note that she made it SO fun for us along the way! When it came to the day of, Liz ensured every detail was accounted for and the overall service by the Dalcy team was absolutely incredible. We were treated like royalty in the bridal suite with our favorite hors d’oeuvres and cocktails waiting for us and someone watching the door to make sure we had alone time when we wanted it. On top of the incredible service, the Dalcy space is beautiful with a feeling of both elegance and intimacy, and has truly some of the best wedding food you will ever have. We had so many guests coming up to us saying that it was one of the best weddings they have been to and some of the best wedding food they have ever had - and we know for a fact that is because of the amazing team at the Dalcy. modations like a private bridal suite, access to table/chair/linen/serveware rentals, and access to use Aba's outdoor roof deck. Liz was a pleasure to work with from start to finish - she is very responsive to emails, detailed and thorough and knowledgable on the industry, helping us plan exactly what we wanted within our budget. She gave us options when we wanted them while also helping us be decisive to keep things moving. The staff on wedding far exceeded our expectations - Justin consistently checked in with us throughout the night, making a special platter of appetizers so we got a chance to try them and making sure we had water/drinks when we wanted them. They truly didn't miss a beat all night. Lastly the food was incredible. We had such a fun time during the food tasting and were blown away how accommodating and flexible the chef and kitchen was when selecting the menu. Sure enough, the food on wedding day did not disappoint. I highly recommend choose The Dalcy if you're looking for an "all-inclusive" feel venue that is elegant, modern and equipped with kind and intelligent staff!

As such, we sadly will no longer be hosting our reception at The Dalcy, but I had to write a review saying how wonderful my experience was working with this venue from start to finish. The venue is gorgeous and the staff (especially Christine) are very responsive, helpful, and classy. I would highly recommend this venue for any event as the space is very versatile and the employees are extremely professional.

tober 2019 wedding reception was an easy decision! The space speaks for itself :). Utilizing Aba for the cocktail hour absolutely wowed our guests. People are still talking about it! Chicago proved to have it's flaky weather and it was a particularly chilly Fall day - Aba provided ample heaters to ensure all of our guests were comfortable. Both Liz and Angela were super responsive to our never-ending questions and worked with us every step of the way to ensure our day was perfect - including the hours leading up due to weather difficulties. Having the cocktail hour in the connecting Aba restaurant / rooftop patio and the formal reception in the Dalcy space was a smooth transition and did not require as much decorating because the spaces themselves are so beautiful. The Dalcy covers it all - coat check, AMAZING bathrooms (trust me - look at the pics), aesthetically pleasing ambiance - floral team very happy with how convenient everything was, two amazing bars with bar tenders that kept our guests happy all night. THE FOOD. If I had a dollar for how many compliments we got on the food, it would have paid for the wedding itself! Not to mention, the presentation of each appetizer and dish is stunning (are able to see at the tasting). If you choose, The Dalcy also includes items that most venues do not like menus/table cards/etc. If I could relive the night all over again, I would in large thanks to The Dalcy :). Cannot lose with choosing this venue!

Christine was a dream to work with from the beginning -- friendly, communicative, accommodating and patient, answering our million questions quickly and clearly. Our wedding went very smoothly, and if there were any issues we do not know about them. The mezze dinner was a huge hit with our guests, with many commenting it was the best meal they've had at a wedding. The entire day-of team were wonderful and friendly, quietly making sure everything was in order and that we as bride and groom had everything we needed. I highly recommend hosting your event at The Dalcy.

g back to us and thinking of things we would have otherwise missed. We hosted the cocktail hour in the connecting Aba restaurant and rooftop patio, and the formal reception in the Dalcy space. This worked out perfectly, allowing for the cocktail hour to be indoor/outdoor with plenty of room to mingle. The Dalcy itself has everything you could need! Inside the space there is a coat check, brand new bathrooms (with chandeliers), two amazing bars, and plenty of space for a dance floor (even with our 200 guests). It was incredibly convenient knowing that we did not have to deal with other vendors for tables, chairs, and food - and boy is the food good! They were very accommodating and even allowed us to add a pasta course... guests still are telling us how good the food was! I could keep going forever... we were able to use their table numbers, card box, and purchase favor boxes for our guests through them, and they even will print menus for you as well. All in all, the night was perfect, all thanks to the Dalcy!
