Hiring Michelle as our day-of coordinator, in hindsight, was the one of the biggest factors in my husband and I enjoying our wedding day.
Michelle is very experienced in wedding planning and coordination, and through that experience she raised questions and considerations that we had not addressed in our own planning. Her experience also enabled her to make practical and pressure-free recommendations when my husband and I were stuck on decisions. This all led to Michelle creating a great plan for our rehearsal and wedding day.
Throughout the event, Michelle naturally commands the room with a pleasant and professional demeanor - everybody gravitates to her and happily lines up to her planning. Members of our wedding party and other vendors both commented to us about how great she managed the rehearsals and the day-of events.
The added bonus is that her assistants are incredibly adept and follow her lead in both execution and professionalism, ensuring that everything goes smoothly; it's amazing watching them as a team. They ensured that everything ran to-plan, and they were quick to adjust and fix problems the few times they came up - in our case they were doing things like adjusting candles, fixing the lighting, and even helped me fix a snag in my dress. I can only imagine what things they resolved behind-the-scenes, but simply stated: there wasn't a single detail that they missed!
Looking back at our wedding, I would say that we hired all of our other vendors as a gift to our guests: that they would have a great experience and great food and fun dancing and beautiful scenery and amazing photos on our wedding day ... and then I would say that we hired Michelle as a gift to ourselves, that we could also truly enjoy our own special day.
She's professional and responsive, engaging and kind, detailed and efficient ... We obviously have no comparison to measure Michelle against, but it's impossible for us to imagine that she's not among the very very best in her field. I don't know how anybody could have done a better job!
Ultimately, it's your day and you deserve to enjoy it without any worries - my husband and I have the strongest recommendation that you should do yourself the biggest favor you can, and consider Michelle as your wedding coordinator.
I found Michelle at a time of frustration in the COVID wedding planning process, and she was completely able to turn our experience around. She was so attentive throughout the process, and there every step of the way. Our wedding day, including her coordination and set up design, far exceeded my expectations. I’m not sure what we would have done without Michelle and her team!
Hiring Michelle as our day-of-coordinator (really I would say month of with the all the help she provided!) was one of the best decisions we made. She brought our vision alive for our wedding, ensured everything ran smoothly, and took over all communication with our vendors 2-3 weeks out from our wedding date. She created a detailed timeline for our venue and vendors, and basically took all the stress out of our hands! She attended two walk throughs with us at our venue. She really made everything run perfectly, and ensured that we could all just relax and enjoy the day.
My husband and I married this past May in Portsmouth, RI, and hiring Michelle was one of the BEST decisions we made!!!! And we made many good decisions, so that's saying a lot! I was planning most of the wedding on my own, and though I kept resisting the idea that I would need help on the day-of, a friend of ours in the wedding business highly recommended Michelle to me. Well, I'm very grateful that she did and that I took her advice and gave Michelle a call.
Michelle is so kind and generous with her time. Even in the months leading up to our wedding I felt that I could ask her questions, and she was always super quick to respond and open with her advice. We were planning a very unique wedding with some complicated aspects (including a very unconventional ceremony and a wedding party, who were all performing music during our ceremony). Michelle really worked to make sure she had an absolutely perfect understanding of what we were going for and what exactly we were envisioning for our day. She also helped us to hone our vision, and I'm sure the day would not have gone nearly as smoothly without her involvement!
As the wedding day drew near I realized I could not have done it without Michelle! Well, maybe I could have, but I probably would have lost a lot more sleep and completely gone insane! It was SO helpful and comforting to know that Michelle had everything under control. She had all the information, the timeline, etc, and if things went wrong it would not fall on me in my stressed-out-bride-mode (or on my stressed out mom or friends) to fix things. Michelle had it all under control!
Of course nothing went wrong, at least not that I knew of, and our day went by so smoothly I couldn't believe it. I cannot say enough good things about Michelle! She is an absolute pro, but also super kind, generous, and calming! Thank you Michelle!!!
Michelle is Wonder Woman! I moved to California right after we got engaged, and I had to plan my entire wedding remotely. So, I really wanted someone who could make the wedding day easy. We only started interacting a couple weeks before my wedding, but she packed a lot of work into that time. She created a very detailed wedding day itinerary that was shared with all of the vendors, and she (along with her assistant, Kelsey) were very attentive to all of our needs. I barely even noticed she was there but knew she was pretty much running the show. Since we weren’t able to do a walk-through a few weeks before, she showed up and helped out at our rehearsal, which made the actual day run VERY smoothly. She even kept an eye on our troublesome family members.
Michelle is professional, fun, and upbeat which is exactly what I needed for my day-of coordinator. My mom and I were completely stress free when it came to set-up and things happening on time! I would highly recommend Michelle and The Day Of!
I got married at the Hyatt Boston Harbor hotel on September 12th, 2015.
Michelle knows what she is talking about and brings up things you would never think about. You meet with her twice in person to go over things as well as unlimited contact though calls, texts, emails. It is a little pricey (IMO) but if you want peace of mind, Michelle is worth it!
Michelle at The Day Of made our wedding day. From the start of our wedding planning, Michelle was a source of support, vendor recommendations and insight related to items that you need to consider when planning a wedding. Michelle helped my husband and I prioritize aspects of our day that were essential vs. negotiable, and had the ability to read between the lines to help us truly pull out our vision for the flow of our day. Michelle went above and beyond for us, and I truly trusted her with bringing all the details of our day together perfectly. I can honestly say, that as soon as our Rehearsal started on Friday night (which Michelle ran for us), I was a 100% relaxed bride. Because of this, I had the time to stop, be in the moment and look around and enjoy our day -- and no bride can do this unless you trust someone like Michelle with the most important day of your life! My husband and I feel that Michelle was an essential part of our amazing day and we truly feel eternally grateful for The Day Of!
A childhood friend recommended Michelle to me. I really did not think that we needed help, but my mother insisted and so I reached out to Michelle. It was the best decision I made in the planning of our wedding. Michelle is prompt, professional and so easy to work with. She works so hard to make every detail come together seamlessly. She is on top of every detail and thinks of the little things that brides forget.
I cannot emphasize how much of a help she was to us. We could not have gotten everything done and organized without her. I miss talking with her regularly!
Michelle is a super hero! She joined my team of vendors last minute and saved the day. I was certainly a tough client to take on, I am a control freak, OCD and a project manager by profession, I know what I want, how I want them done, and prefer to do it myself as I can control the outcome. Typically, this is because my thought is "if it doesn't come out as I wanted, I have no one to blame but myself". Because of this, the idea of hiring an event coordinator was completely foreign and seemed like an unnecessary expense. I WAS WRONG! Michelle took the time to learn how I worked, she certainly proved I needed her, and I wouldn’t have had my dream wedding without her. Some stuff started to fall apart weeks before my wedding, and I started to feel out of control and like I needed to reach for help. I made the call to Michelle, based on a very trusted recommendation. She instantly put me at ease. She hopped on board, and started asking all the important questions, and I could tell she put as much heart into her work, as I was putting into my wedding. She was exactly what I needed. She handled the stuff I didn’t want to do, or control (confrontations, persistently following up with unresponsive vendors, timeline distribution, and vendor coordination). I love all the details that go into planning, but at the end, everyone warned me I would be overwhelmed, but I never imagined my brain would be completely wiped blank. When many hands started "helping" me last minute, I didn’t know where anything was and I went completely brain-dead. (Seriously, I went to my hair appt without my photos, veil or tiara, then Michelle called me and I had completely forgot I even had her! My brain was COMPLETELY blank.) So needless to day, I forgot many important things that day, but Michelle didn’t! She had everything covered, from the church, to the limo, photographers, videographer, caterer and reception. She knew where everything was supposed to be, and checked twice to make sure it was perfect. I couldn’t more highly recommend her. She is amazing, incredibly easy to get along with, and on top of her game. You can tell she loves what she does, and she does it with all of her heart, as if it were her own event that needed to be pulled off flawlessly. I will be forever grateful to Michelle for helping provide my dream day, and telling all my friends they MUST use her.
We recently got married in Weston, MA on 9/10/11 in the garden at my wife's mother's home.
It was a wedding ceremony of about 100-110 people.
We knew we were going to need some assistance with the planning/coordinating up in MA because we currently live down in Alexandria, VA.
We got Michelle Schaufeld's name referred on to us by my mother-in-law's friend who lives up in Wellesley.
We had several phone meetings with Michelle from Virginia, and then at least two in-person meetings about a month before the wedding and then one more the week before.
She is a consummate professional and is very good at being creative but also obliging a particularly picky bride's and mother-in-law's tastes. She did a great job of balancing the budget constraints and the bride and mother-in-law's vision of the wedding ceremony and reception, and keeping everything on schedule.
She interfaced smoothly with the wedding coordinator at the country club in Wellesley, MA where the reception was held, and just did an overall outstanding job. She also did a great job of project managing the contracts and logistics of the various vendors (flowers, transportation, musical artists, etc. etc.)
My wife and I would recommend Michelle and The Day Of without reservation.
She was well worth the money.

As our wedding day got closer, my husband and I realized we may need someone there on the day of the wedding so that we would not have to worry about all the little things or handle any issues should they arise. A co-worker referred me to Michelle at The Day Of and while we initally were going to have to pass on her day of coordination services due to budget constraints, Michelle worked with us to come up with a plan that would work within our budget. This proved to us that she would be flexible to work with which was very important to us. During the planning process, Michelle eased my concerns, provided her expert input and provided very timely responses to all my emails. On the day of, Michelle was professional and pleasant to us (bride and groom), our families, our wedding party and all of our vendors. She helped to pull together everything and create our vision and dream wedding. I would highly recommend Michelle for assistance with wedding planning and day of services!

When planning our wedding, we were a bit lost as to what the right balance of wedding event coordination/independence would suit us. With an invite list of 300, a large wedding party, and a full weekend of events, we knew we couldn't go it alone. Since our vendors and The Boston Harbor Hotel (our venue) are reputable and well managed, we didn't feel a start-to-finish planner would be a good fit. Thedayof was our solution.
