Delafield Hotel

Gina and The Delafield Hotel team were amazing to work with. I have zero regrets having my wedding here, as the team took care of so many details and helped make the day and planning flawless. Baseline Logistics & Comfort We had our ceremony and reception in the ballroom, with cocktail hour in the Cushing room and the outdoor portico. We had under 100 guests in attendance which fit the rooms comfortably with space to spare in both the ceremony, cocktail, and reception layout. There was plenty of space for the guests during cocktail hour to be comfortable, with plenty of seats. We had an upgraded setup for the portico area which provided even more seating and comfort. Rooms Majority of the wedding party had their own rooms and were impressed with the space and cleanliness of the rooms and the hotel overall. My family had stayed here once before and were incredibly happy to stay here again for the wedding. Communication & The Planning Experience / Day of Operation and Support Gina was incredibly responsive and helpful and one of my favorite people to work with. She made the planning process incredibly smooth and easy and was accommodating when we unique ideas or requests. When trying to decide lighting in the ballroom Gina was flexible and accommodating when I left it in the hands of my photographer/videographer to decide on the morning of. I know they have plenty of weddings, but there was never a time when I felt like just a number, Gina always went out of her way to assist and accommodate. The venue was fully transparent on package inclusions, and what would incur a fee. I never had any questions or doubts when payments were due. Day-of the wedding she was onsite, present, proactive, and helpful during setup and throughout the event. Gina and the venue staff worked incredibly well with all our other vendors to make the whole day and process flow smoothy. Inclusions and vendor flexibility The venue provided so many items like tables, chairs, drinkware, flatware, etc. and had options to upgrade items like extra décor, seating, and linens. Guest and Wedding Party Experience The venue had great accessibility and flow. Our elderly guests were able to navigate between spaces without encountering unexpected or steep stairs. There was never a line to use the bathrooms, which were well cleaned and maintained during the wedding. Parking was free and plentiful with valet service available. We utilized hotel rooms as our getting-suites and there was plenty of space for hair and makeup to set up and work. We were even able to utilize ID for groomsmen photos, which resulted fantastic photos. The dinner, desserts, and late-night snack were high quality with all the food coming out with perfect taste, texture, and temperature. I’ve had so many guests tell me that the venue and food were amazing and that it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had, and I 100% agree with them. My husband and I had a wonderful experience planning and having our wedding here. I’ve been working hard to convince friends to have their weddings at The Delafield Hotel because I know they will be well taken care of by Gina and the team. My parents had such a wonderful experience that they’re considering hosting family events there just so they can experience the food and fantastic service again so it is very likely that we will be back!

We had such a great experience for our wedding! Everyone was so helpful throughout the whole process and really made things easier for us. Communication was very quick and to the point. The price was a bit of a shocker at first until you realize what's all included in the package options (some decorations like table numbers and candles, open bar for a certain amount of time, candles, bell tower photos, honeymoon suite, etc). The food was really good. We were especially impressed with how they handled all of our decorations. They did a great job setting everything up for both the ceremony and reception (including the quick room flip flip for the amount of decorations we had). It was so nice to walk in and see everything already put together the way we wanted (and better) without having to worry. Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We would definitely recommend them to anyone planning a wedding!
