The Dewberry

The Dewberry team made our wedding weekend such an amazing and memorable experience. Sarah, our event manager, was instrumental in the planning process and making sure everything ran smoothly. Everything from the food tasting to the flow of our wedding day was orchestrated so seamlessly. We could not be happier with the way everything turned out. She was the utmost professional in every part of the process! In addition to working with Sarah, Excellence was beyond helpful in making sure my husband and I were taken care of both during our food tasting and our wedding day. His level of customer service was above and beyond -- truly superb. The venue has a beautiful rooftop with the best views of Charleston and the walled garden was so charming to host our reception dinner. The food quality was that of a fine dining restaurant and not your average "wedding food". Our experience at the Dewberry exceeded all of my expectations and I would recommend to anyone looking to host an event in Charleston!

If you want all your wedding dreams to come to life, look no further than The Dewberry. Even during a global pandemic, the wonderful team at the Dewberry managed to pull off the most amazing (and covid-safe!) celebration for me and my husband this past November. Sarah, our venue coordinator, is truly one of the most lovely, organized, and hard-working people I have ever met. Planning a destination wedding in Charleston all the way from San Francisco was a breeze with her support and attention to detail. She even made sure one of favorite Sonoma-based wines (which was not included in our package!) was available for guests during our reception! Speaking of guests, our friends and family are still raving about our wedding even a month later. From the top-notch service, to the picturesque rooftop setting during cocktail hour, our celebration was truly one-of-a-kind. Our appetizers and dinner service were absolutely mind-blowing thanks to Excellence and his culinary team. Even our custom cake was a masterpiece! Words simply cannot convey how happy we are with our decision to get married at The Dewberry. Thank you for pulling off the wedding of our dreams and taking such good care of our guests the entire weekend.

I absolutely recommend any couple to have their wedding at the Dewberry if they want amazing pictures, a low stress planning process, and for their guests to rave about every detail of their wedding. It is by far the most chic and fun place in Charleston to get married. Not only is the space stunning, but the staff is amazing! We had our wedding last weekend (yes, in the middle of Covid) and the only reason we were able to go through with it was because of all of the wonderful precautions their team took. They were in constant contact the whole time and added a lot of brilliant, thoughtful steps that made all of our guests feel safe, but kept the luxurious feel of the hotel. We had our cocktail hour on the roof and it was such a special touch that our guests loved. The views are spectacular! Then the guests were moved to the ballroom and garden, every inch of this hotel is designed flawlessly. Even the bathrooms are dreamy! We are just getting the pictures back and each one is more breathtaking than the last because of how beautiful the background is! We also had a get ready suite in the hotel which was perfect for pictures! There was always someone ready to help with anything, it made the day completely stress free! The staff even had one of everything from the food at the reception brought to the room for my husband and I to eat between the cocktail hour and reception. (I highly recommend doing this!) The food was so delicious. And they made the most showstopping cake that was to die for good. I never dreamed we would have such a beautiful and delicious cake. We completely LOVED working with the event director, Sarah. She is so smart, kind, and always a few steps ahead! We never worried about anything when she was involved. It was such a pleasure working with her and she made my mom and I feel so at ease with how on top of things she always is. We love her! We also loved Excellence, who worked with the food and drink and he lived up to his name! We are very particular people, and I can tell you that there is not one thing that the Dewberry could have done to make this day any more special or beautiful. We plan on coming back every year to stay in one of their gorgeous rooms for our anniversary!

We had our wedding at the Dewberry last Sunday and stayed on the property as well and I cannot say enough about the beauty of the hotel and venue spaces. Not only is it beautiful, but their staff and service is unmatched. Their catering and event staff (Sarah and Liz specifically) handled every detail of our wedding day with utmost care and attention to detail. Everyone, from the concierge, front desk staff, valet, and bellmen were so attentive. The food was absolutely INCREDIBLE. I would give 10 stars if I could. Thank you Dewberry staff for making our day so special.
