The Diamond Center at Suburban Collection Showplace

Our daughter's wedding was held in the Platinum Ballroom on 6/15/19, and we couldn't be happier. The event went off without a hitch. Colleen, Bridget, Tony and the rest of the staff at the Diamond Center were efficient, professional and on-point throughout the whole process. We felt like we were in good hands from start to finish. The facilities, from the ballroom to the cocktail area to the outdoor courtyard, were perfect for our event of about 120 people. It was an elegant setting for our daughter's big day. Everyone liked the chicken entree, which was perfectly prepared. The bar was a big hit, as well. The flow in the space was great. The icing on the cake was the very comfortable Hyatt rooms for all our overnight guests, and tons of parking. It could not have been more convenient. We highly recommend the Diamond Center for a traditional ballroom wedding.

I got married on 6/9/18! My wedding ceremony and reception were both at the Suburban Collection Showplace and I couldn't have been happier with the service. They really know what they are doing! So much is included and provided which made it a very stress free and easy planning experience. I love that the hotel was attached to the venue to make it super convenient for all of our guests. Everyone was very professional and accommodating. Makenzie was my event coordinator and she was so friendly, easy to communicate with, replied quickly to emails, and helped work with all of my vendors so the day of went smoothly. I had the outdoor courtyard reserved for my ceremony but it was raining so they had a back up room all ready to go for us. My family loved the appetizers that were butler passed during the cocktail hour and all of the food was great! The reception was in the platinum ballroom and the tables and chair were set up beautifully with coordinating colors for my wedding. I loved that set up was included as it made me so much more relaxed. One less thing to worry about. I would recommend this location to anyone for a wedding or party no matter the occasion!

Wow! Courtney and Makenzie (and the rest of the staff) went above and beyond to provide us with our dream New Year’s Eve wedding. The venue was incredible, and the staff was all so accommodating and welcoming. Any questions or concerns we had were promptly answered. We were so blessed to have booked this venue, and cannot recommend it enough to any bride looking for a fantastic experience planning your dream wedding.

We had the best experience working with the staff at the Diamond Center. Everyone was extremely helpful and insightful about various ways to set up our event. The day of our wedding was seamless thanks to the staff and the setup that we chose.

I had so many visions of how I wanted my wedding day to go and everyone at the Diamond Center helped to make my dream a reality! I got married August of 2016 and used the courtyard for the ceremony and the Platinum Ballroom for the reception. I loved that everything was all right there and convenient for my guests. Bridget and Courtney were a great help for all the questions I had leading up to my big day, and since I booked my date about two years out there were a lot of questions! The banquet staff was excellent and served dinner right on time which is truly what I was worried about as I have been to other weddings where the food took forever. I have not stopped receiving compliments about how good the food was and how attentive staff was during dinner! I highly recommend the Diamond Center as anyone's wedding venue!!

The ceremony space was great. The ceilings were very high and dark so we were able to bring in lighting to make it seem like we had an outdoor ceremony as the weather in November in Michigan is so unpredictable we couldn't chance having it outdoors. Lauren was great on the day of. With a Friday evening wedding we had to make some last minute changes to the schedule as some of our guests had not yet arrived shortly before the ceremony was going to begin. Lauren was able to shorten the cocktail hour so we could push the ceremony back about 15 minutes. I was so happy with her help and the ceremony space was beautiful.

It was beautifully decorated for Christmas which added to the fantastic ambiance of our day! Bridget and Courtney were amazing and helped us with every aspect of our day. The food was incredible both for the reception and for us girls getting ready before hand. They were fairly priced and actually cheaper than some of the other venues I had priced. Awesome location being right off of 96 and the fact that the Hyatt is attached made everything easier! Thank you for all you guys did to make our wedding incredible!!!

I not only used the Diamond Center for my reception but I also used their courtyard for my ceremony. I loved that my guest wouldn't have to travel in between and it made it even more convenient with having the hotel attached as well! It saved me money by not having to worry about transportation to each location. Beautiful location overall! The staff I worked with were wonderful, Courtney and Lauren went above and beyond to make sure my day was perfect. They were able to help with some last minute needs and it was great to have them there on the day of. When I first started planning my wedding I was living out of state and that made it easy to do with great email communication. The diamond center had a variety of packages and add on's to make my day exactly how I wanted. I liked how pretty much everything was included, that way I didn't have to worry about too many different vendors. They were very accommodating! As well the banquet servers and bartender were beyond wonderful. Being the bride, I had a server who anytime I needed anything was right on top of it. Absolute top notch customer service and was complimented on the service by my guests as well. Thank you Diamond Center for making my day absolutely perfect! :)

I had the pleasure of holding my ceremony as well as the reception at the Diamond Center - and I couldn't have asked for a better venue. The staff was so accommodating, thoughtful, organized, and just an overall pleasure to work with. The Hyatt is also attached to the venue, which made it super convenient for myself and my guests. I would recommend the Diamond Center to any bride looking to book a venue for her big day!

My husband and I got married on September 20, 2014 and had our reception and ceremony at the Diamond Center. From the very beginning the communication felt like we were the only ones Heather was working with and she responded almost immediately to all emails with my hundreds of questions. The staff is beyond wonderful to work with and any request we had was met with a smile and a "no problem!" Kind of response. I cannot speak more highly of our experience with this venue and would recommend it to everyone. Heather and Courtney are amazing to work with and make you feel like you are the only one they are working with. Every request we had, no matter how big or small, was confirmed. The food is absolutely amazing, the cake was beyond delicious that we received for free as part of booking since we attended one of the bridal shows there, and the staff you work with are all professional and go above and beyond for you. We had our ceremony outside in the courtyard which was absolutely beautiful and as soon as I walked down the aisle it started to rain. We lasted about 4 minutes continuing the ceremony outside then Courtey moved us inside to finish the ceremony was the rain started coning down. They had an additional room set up for us that with music and everything and it was all perfect!!! No matter what we wanted they were able to provide and the day of the reception I mentioned I was warm and two minutes later could hear the air kick in. I can't speak more highly of the staff and team members you work with at this venue. They make the entire process so easy, care free and with no stress because you feel so confident in the team. They literally made my wedding and the entire process so much better and enjoyable knowing I could trust them with all the details and didn't have to worry about anything. The price was the best we could find with a quality of service (and food) that surpassed other weddings I have been part of that cost twice or three times what the diamond center charges. There is so much included!!! Some items included are chair covers, all table linens, centerpieces (three vases with floating candles and colored water to match your colors with a mirror tile as one option, the wedding cake (because we attended a bridal show there and were a winner), all food and alcohol, hord'devours which was a beautiful display of cheese and fruit, a bridal room for both bride and groom, free stay at the hyatt place hotel the night of the wedding and I know there's so much more in not mentioning here. If you truly want a stressfree wedding this is the place for you. We decided to make our own centerpieces for a rustic style, but if we didn't want to they would have everything ready for you with no work required on your end. I can't speak anymore highly of this venue and hope that everyone will take time to contact them!!!

I absolutely loved working with Courtney and Heather at the Showplace. They were so helpful. I loved having a one-stop-shop for all my food, drinks, and baker. They are wonderful. We have hosted other events there and have never been disappointed. They only thing I wish was that I had been able to request a specific type of wine with the package offered to me. Other than that, I was happy as a clam. :)

My coordinators, Courtney and Heather, were absolutely amazing! They made sure every detail was executed to perfection. I used the Diamond Center for my cocktail hour and reception. My guests are still raving about the delicious food. The space was absolute perfect and I would recommend it!

The serving staff was wonderful and the coordinator was very precise and professional.

The place was nice, the people were nice and quick in getting back to us on our questions. We went to our food tasting and there was hair in my plate of food. The food was good but that ruined our food tasting for us.

The venue is stunning, warm tones fill the room and make the space extremely versitile. Courtney is the main point of contact is wonderful. She is there to assist every step of the way. We were blown away by the banquet staff! They greated us by name the entire night and made sure we were never without a drink or anything else we could have asked for. Food was great and all of our guests were impressed. Best value around. My 5 year cousin is a very picky eater and during the cocktail hour he wouldnt eat any of the hors d'ouvres, but was starving. A server overheard him and brought him out a plate of sliced apples. Good luck finding service like that anywhere else! Could not have been happier with our decision to host our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all in one place! Our guests loved the convenience!
