Gabriela was the greatest! The weather interfered with my terrace wedding, but the planning process was exceptional, and I could not have asked for a better event manager!

The "Catering Sales Manager" is not competent. My fiancé and I were going to book the Diplomat as our wedding venue. While touring the south palm court and 33rd floor lounge was shown as a ceremony/cocktail/reception space. However, she was unable to provide for the ceremony space shown.. the hotel does not confirm that space until 30 days prior to the event (information that was not shared with me until I was at the contract process). She then offered me another ceremony space, at the hotel pool (where guests would be), so noncomparable in privacy. At the tour, she offered to provide a breakdown of all fees.. that took over 2 weeks to obtain, post receiving a contract. Simple services/responsibilities of the hotel, that are included in their wedding brochure (complimentary stay on the wedding night in ocean view suite), are not in their contract template. Their contract is all about the client's financial responsibility. I had to ask several times for the room block/rate to be included in the contract; which changed from phone conversation to email. She gives information without the approval and then goes back on it. The room rate she quoted was initially "$252, mid 200s" on the phone, then via email it was $299. She does not take responsibility for the misinformation and then holds the client to the higher price. Their contract also states that the menu cannot be determined until 6 months prior to the event; they did not even make a concession such as "will honor current menu pricing." Read the fine print because there are surcharges for relocating the ceremony; if there is as much as 20% chance of rain in FLORIDA, and it is the "hotels final decision." The Director was copied on 2 emails expressing frustration with the service and he did not reach out until we had stepped back (a week or so later).
Sales Manager was not able to explain or answer questions about many of the legal parts of the contract and then went as far as to say that maybe our small wedding was not at the level of the Diplomat. I have never experienced this level of condescending customer service and want to warn potential brides.

My now (wife) and I booked a block of rooms for out-of-town wedding guests here. It was a horrible experience. The customer service was poor. They could not even locate our reserved block of rooms when guests were calling to book rooms. They intentionally did not tell us the entire property would be under construction when we booked the room block. The entire property was a mess. After all of this they had the nerve to ask why we didn't have the actual wedding at the property!! Honestly, if we had planned our wedding there, we would have had to cancel the wedding because the hotel staff had no idea what they were doing just trying to book rooms. Really disappointed. Oh yeah and housekeeping took a dress from our room while cleaning. The dress cost over $300 and is no nowhere to be found despite the fact I spent an hour searching the room before checking out. I have nothing positive to say about my experience at this hotel.

Everything about the Westin was top-notch! Carolyn Horton, the coordinator, was simply amazing. She helped out with every little detail along the way. The ceremony, cocktail hour and reception were spectacular. The food and decor were amazing. I would not hesitate to recommend the westin to any couple looking to have a spectacular and memorable wedding! I would do it all again in a heartbeat!

This location is absolutely amazing and so is Carolyn who is the Director. The food is amazing, there follow up and eagerness to make sure we got everything we needed was spectacular. Definately suggest this location to anyone who is getting married.

The Westin Diplomat was a wonderful place to have my wedding. I chose it for the beautiful fountain backdrop, but unfortunately, it rained on my wedding day. I was not able to have the backdrop that I wanted. The reception turned out beautiful. The weather made things a little crazy, so the hotel failed on little things like the correct table seating. I would definitley recommend the GOLF location for an outdoor wedding, but I'd be prepared to have a more pretty altar if the wedding has to be bought inside.

The wedding was beautiful. The location for the ceremony and the reception were beautiful. Everyone in attendance said it looked like a fairytale. The site was amazing for the pictures and everyone was all smiles. The day was exceptional and the food was a hit. The festivities lasted until late in the night and everyone working that night were so helpful especially Terry Longo. Terry was so helpful when my florist droppped out. She gave us the name of a great florist and everything was perfect at the wedding. There is nothing about the day that I would have changed. Even mother nature held off so we had a beautiful outdoor ceremony. I cannot wait to see all the beautiful pictures from our wonderful photographer, John-Paul Studios. Thnk you to the Diplomat for making our day perfect.

The staff and the wedding coordinator at the Westin Diplomat Resort and Spa were absolutely wonderful. From the day I entered the hotel , it was like entering a spa. The great aroma that loafs through the air, the high ceilings with natural light streaming in, the lavish fountain in the lobby, and even the front door courtesy of the hotel staff is impressive. I knew my guests would love the location as much as I did. The wedding coordinator pretty much held my hand and guided me through every step of the wedding planning with patience, ease, and insightfulness. At times when I didn't know what I wanted, she would customize and organize things in such a way that it made it easier to make a decision. I can truly say she is an expert at what she does. We visited the hotel on a few occasions before the wedding and the staff was always warm and friendly. I can compare it to Disneyland in the sense of awe every time you entered and encountered the staff. On the day of the wedding, the wedding coordinator helped make it the most memorable day of our lives from her organization and dedication to our specifications. I can truly say that I don't think my wedding would have been any more beautiful if it were somewhere else. It has been one month since our wedding and I am still getting compliments about how beautiful everything was and went on the day- and I love it!! I am in awe of the fantastic service they provide. I would recommend the Westin Diplomat Resort and Spa to future couples looking for a venue for their wedding. It will leave a lasting impression on their minds as it did ours.

After searching all sorts of venues, from Bal Harbor to Fort Lauderdale, we set our sights on The Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa in Hollywood. We couldn't be happier with our decision. The staff was great, and the setting was PERFECT! Our guests all said that it was the best wedding they had ever attended. I would highly recommend this venue for weddings and social events. You won't be disappointed!

I am an independent wedding planner and have planned many weddings at the Westin Diplomat. It is a beautiful venue - the hotel, the food and the service are all outstanding.
Last weekend, I worked a wedding with Terry Longo as the Catering Manager. The event was flawless and the bride and her family said it was a dream come true.
If you are planning a wedding, call the Westin Diplomat Catering Team and go for a site visit. I am confident you will be happy you did.

I can't say enough about the service, food and best day of my life. Terry Longo was extremely organized and helped in every aspect up to and through the day of the event. The location has so many options that it was hard to decide on where I finally choose to have the ceremony and reception. Our guests were so impressed by this location with the beach, golf, spa, kids club, tennis and more! I look forward to my anniversary there!
