We had both our ceremony and reception at Dorral Farm at 9/14/19 and the day was absolutely perfect!! I can't say enough great things about Cindy and their house caterer, Janie (It's About Thyme).
I felt extremely comfortable during the entire wedding planning process. Cindy and Janie were always so responsive to and questions/concerns I had and were especially helpful and reassuring leading up to the wedding.
The farm is stunning! We chose to get married in the outdoor wooded area and they decorated perfectly to make it our dream ceremony. The indoor reception area was decorated equally as beautiful and was spacious enough to comfortably hold our 200+ guests.
The kindness and generosity we experienced working with Dorral Farm will never be forgotten. We are so appreciative for all of the time and effort that was put in by the staff to make our special day beautiful. We are so glad that we chose to get married here!
My daughter held her wedding reception at Dorral Farms and it was a wonder experience. The venue is beautiful. Cindy and Jeff were great to work with and helped to make the day special for all of us. We used "It's About Thyme" for the catering/decorating needs and they also were outstanding. We received nothing but positive comments from the guests that attended. I would recommend them without any hesitation.
We were disappointed that they weren't very environmentally friendly but they were very accommodating to our requests of no single serve items and no straws. Otherwise very beautiful and accepting venue. They are very strict with their contracted hours and somewhat stubborn to work with. However, the food was incredible and we received many compliments on that. The staff was fantastic.
Dorral Farm was an absolutely stunning venue! We were fortunate enough to have a perfect, warm fall day and were able to have our ceremony outside as desired on October 15th. The leaves were just starting to change and it was beautiful! Everything was perfect. Cindy, her brother, and the staff were so easy to work with throughout the whole process. They were kind, attentive, and friendly. The reception in the pull barn was everything we hoped it to be. Dorral Farm is such a gorgeous property and it is owned by people who really care about you and making sure your big day is everything you dreamed it to be! We highly recommend this venue to anyone who is searching for a perfect place to have their event!
Dorral Farm was the location of our July outdoor ceremony and indoor reception and we could not have been happier with the outcome! The service we received was always prompt, professional, and responsive to our desires. Dorral Farm uses an exclusive caterer that became our primary point of contact for any and all decisions, questions, or issues we had. We were given a variety of decor options to choose from for both the ceremony and reception. We could have decorated the ceremony site and reception ourselves but opted for utilizing the venue personnel to do most of the decorating, and they were courteous and attentive to all of our needs. We opted for a buffet style dinner and the meal was excellent as we received numerous compliments from our guests. Our wedding of ~125 was handled easily. The aesthetics of the grounds and facilities are beautiful. The staff does a great job of keeping the property manicured, and the buildings are clean and elegant. We highly recommend Dorral Farm!
Be very cautious if considering this venue. My son and his fiancé contracted to have their wedding and reception here. A $750 deposit was required at the time of booking. Pretty standard. However, cancellation must be done very shortly after entering into the contract or $0 of your deposit will be refunded. In their case they would have needed to cancel by August 2015 for a date of May 2016 - a full 9 months before their reserved date. The contract calls for an additional $800 to hold your ceremony there but does not even provide for chairs to be set up and torn down. You must pay the caterer a fee for the chairs and an hourly rate for servers to do set up and tear down if you are holding the ceremony outside. My son and his fiancé originally booked It's About Thyme Catering because at the time of booking were told the venue was having trouble with their other preferred caterer. Please see my review on that business also. Being unsatisfied with It's About Thyme Catering, the bride emailed Dorral Farms to inquire about the other caterer (which is provided for in the contract and Dorral Farm's website states they have two to choose from). She received an email back that It's About Thyme is their house caterer and is the only caterer for the venue. Only after sending back a response that if they do not have another caterer to choose from as is provided by the contract she would have no choice but to cancel her date and ask for her deposit to be returned, did the owner of Dorral Farm come up with a second caterer. A quick check of that second caterer's Facebook page showed they have been a preferred caterer at Dorral Farms since August 2015 but in February 2016 the bride was told (in writing) there was not a second caterer. I made a quick call to that second caterer and they verified they are still a preferred caterer there. Not sure why my future daughter in law was lied to about it. My son and his fiancé decided to cut their losses and go ahead and cancel even though it meant losing their deposit (yes, even though they lied about the second caterer they are not refunding the deposit and didn't so much as offer even an apology for getting caught in their lie). Again just a word of experienced advice. Be very very cautious if you are considering this venue.
We were married at Dorral Farm 10/05/2013. The venue appealed to us due to its barn like structure, the beautiful grounds for our ceremony, and its affordability. Cindy is a wonderful woman to work with, who seemed genuinely excited about our wedding. The building has been painted since the photos on the website were taken, the entire inside is now white, and beautiful! We were able to bring our own bar, but you have to choose one of two preferred caterers. We used Catering By Design and were highly satisfied with them, Kathy was wonderful to work with, and even allowed us to provide our own appetizers (we had a popcorn bar). Catering By Design also provided the chairs for our outdoor ceremony in the woods at an affordable price. The other caterer can provide draping for the ceiling which we used, and our guests were very impressed with how it all came together. I am so thrilled we found this hidden gem and couldn't be happier with how our wedding turned out!
Dorral Farm is a wedding/reception venue located in Marysville, OH. We had an out of state wedding so we opted to only have the reception there. The facility is GORGEOUS and very reasonably priced. They allow you to bring your own alcohol and you don't have to go with their preferred caterers. Although it does cost a little more to rent the facility if a non-preferred caterer is selected, we actually ended up saving money because of the lower prices charged by the caterer we did selcet. The staff is very nice and responsive. Overall, an excellent experience.
