o be impacted, we ended up having such an amazing day with probably less nerves/stress since we were already married. We started working with Drexelbrook (specifically Kim Savino) in August 2019 after we got engaged - and we continued working on our plans for over 2+ years. Due to the pandemic, we had to adjust our date and make many other changes along the way. And Drexelbrook couldn't have been more flexible and understanding. It definitely made a very stressful time a bit more manageable. Kim, and eventually Hannah and Jean (as we got closer to our date), were both so helpful in all aspects of the planning and final details. I would be remiss if I didn't mention our tasting, which was incredible! We got to bring our parents on both sides to the tasting, and the food was just all so delicious. As for our actual wedding celebration - everything went so, so well. We had a brief vow renewal in the North Ballroom, which was a perfect spot. Then, we had cocktail hour in the Grand Lobby. It's such an elegant space, and all of the appetizers and stations were incredible! We were able to bring in a musician to sing and play acoustic guitar for our brief ceremony and also cocktail hour, which gave a special touch. Our reception was perfect - all of our guests said how delicious the food was. And the portions! My husband had crab cakes and I had beef short rib - I have never seen such large portions at a wedding. The space itself is beautiful and modern. Very large dance floor, and the ballroom had more than enough room to accommodate our ~150 guests while still feeling very spacious - which was important since Covid is still very much here. All of the employees were so kind, helpful, and professional. Bill and Jason were our bridal captain team, and they kept us informed and happy throughout the evening. Once we walked into Drexelbrook that afternoon, we literally didn't feel like we had to worry about a thing - everything was in their very capable hands. Also, having a hotel onsite with the ability to hold an after party was huge! Overall, we can't recommend Drexelbrook enough. If you are looking for a place that makes the process easy (all-inclusive pricing, etc.) and also makes you feel like you're getting the value for the money you're spending - Drexelbrook is it. She’s just incredible and so sweet. Franklin Commons is so very different from any other venue that we had viewed and our guests LOVED how unique and open it was. Comprised of two separate spaces, it is a mix of industrial chic with exposed duct work, string lights, and high ceilings and a very comfortable, relaxing, warm feel with couches and conversation nooks! Our guests loved the opportunity to step away from the dance floor into the second room to catch up with relatives they hadn’t seen in a while or to pose for photos in front of the barn door. When the bridal party arrived through a separate side entrance, a selection of the 16 different appetizers (yes, 16!) and their requested cocktails awaited. Kim made sure everyone was fed and happy! She was so attentive and made everyone feel super special. The food was absolutely FANTASTIC! You will not find anywhere else that offers you 16 different passed appetizers and two live food stations as part of the standard package. We had the risotto bar and the tacos! The guests raved about each and loved how much food there was! We loved that cocktail hour could be outside but covered in case of weather. The salad and dinner entrees were excellent as well. So many guests commented how the braised short ribs melted in their mouths! And, the dessert station didn’t disappoint either. In addition to wedding cake, we had an ice cream bar. Again, all part of the standard package. We loved that we provided our own alcohol for the bar. It enabled us to purchase the wines, beer, and liquor brands that we knew our guests would enjoy. Franklin Commons is a special venue staffed by super people who attend to every detail, ensuring a memorable, relaxing event. The servers were so professional, polite, and always busy assisting guests. And, you get so much food for your dollar! No one will leave hungry. Do yourself a favor and check it out. You won’t be sorry. Our daughter told us at the end of the night…“Best Day Ever!” You can’t do any better than that. Thank you to Kim and the entire Drexelbrook staff. Special shout out to Domenic who attended to the bride and groom all evening, ensuring they both actually ate some dinner, stayed hydrated, and enjoyed themselves. s. During the big day, we were treated like royalty. Staff made sure my wife and I always were receiving food and drinks (we couldn't forget to eat!), and were even greeted with champagne right after our ceremony. The Franklin Commons venue itself was beautiful and worked with us through our many changes and updates. It fit our 100 person wedding perfectly with room for everyone to dance, enjoy games outside, and find their own space to enjoy the wedding. Our guests have raved about the food, setting, and overall experience that was made possible by this great team! We could not recommend Franklin Commons and the Drexelbrook Catering team enough.

ornate facility. And it’s huge! During COVID, they were able to accommodate all of our guests (~200) comfortably and still follow state guidelines. The complimentary uplighting and table settings created a lovely ambience, and the layout was perfect. We had a live band who had plenty of space to work and the dance floor had ample space. Next, the food: delicious! Honestly, wedding food has no business being this good. The flavors were amazing, from the hors d'oeuvres and stations to the main courses (they even were able to accommodate a custom sea bass dish we requested!) to the desserts. We’re still dreaming about the stuffed chicken and strip steak. There are so many options and they were very accommodating with food allergies, preferences, and intolerances. It’s hard to go wrong with all the choices. Also, the staff went out of their way to ensure that we were adequately fed and had time to ourselves! We can’t begin to tell you how clutch that was. Then, the staff: helpful and accommodating! We had exactly 3 WEEKS to replan our reception as COVID forced the original reception out of Philadelphia, and everyone at the Drexelbrook did their best to make sure our “special day” was truly special. Christina, Anthony, Jeannie, and Bill hit the ground running and facilitated all of our last-minute needs. They responded quickly to our questions and didn’t balk at any reasonable requests. They had so many recommendations we didn’t even think of! They also worked so well with our vendors, making this as stress-free as possible! Lastly, the quick turnaround: wow! While Pennsylvania was easing many event restrictions in March of 2021, Philadelphia did not follow suit. Our original reception venue very graciously allowed us out of the commitment to their venue, so we had a few days to find something else. After being very impressed with a tour of the facility, we landed on the Drexelbrook and they got to work immediately. Months of planning was able to be condensed in a few weeks. Our guests universally loved the venue and were shocked that all of it could be done in such a short period of time! 10/10 would recommend it for any event!

husband and I had to choose a different venue 2-3 months before our wedding because of the COVID restrictions in Philadelphia at our original venue. And then when we had to push our date back because of COVID, Kim immediately came to the rescue to provide us with alternative dates. She always made herself available to us when something with another vendor (particularly our original florist) went wrong. We had our original florist (NOT through DREXELBROOK) ghost us 2 weeks before our new wedding date and Kim immediately got us in contact with their professional list of florists and we had a consultation and all of our stresses gone within a business day. Kim and the team at Drexelbrook truly made our wedding day the PERFECT day despite covid and the wedding planning hiccups. Our guests absolutely LOVED the food and the beautiful ballroom. All of the staff were professional and even made sure we ate during our big day. If you are looking for a beautiful ballroom and a professional and attentive staff during your wedding day, do yourself a favor and call KIM!!!

was amazing. It was so convenient to have my family and friends stay at the hotel. Drexelbrook events did such an amazing job, I can’t express it enough. My wedding was perfect because of them and I wish I could do it all over again. They really took care of you and made sure you knew what was coming up next and knew what was going on. Fateema was assigned to me and she was awesome. She helped me with dress issues and she pulled through! Anthony was on top of everything. He knows his stuff. He is so friendly and very accommodating. Drexelbrook makes you feel like they really care and want you to have the best day of your life and it really shows because that’s exactly what happened. My wedding couldn’t have been any better and I am so thankful for their service.

Besides the amazing staff the next best thing about the drexelbrook is the food- EVERYTHING is yummy... and you can't beat the new hotel that is ATTACHED to the venue!! So many couples complain about all of the work that goes into planning a wedding but drexelbrook made it a completely stress free experience. They take care of everything from the linens to the centerpieces to the fire pits and beyond. I’ve grown up going to many events at the drexelbrook so the thought of adding my wedding to that list was less than thrilling but after seeing all of the renovations I was blown away. Everything is brand new, the food was absolutely delicious, the cocktail hour had the best food and drinks I’ve ever seen, and the new hotel attached is BEAUTIFUL! We are still hearing from our friends and family how it was the best wedding they have ever been to! Also a big shoutout to Ray who made the day of events run smoothly and always made sure we were having a great time. This is a venue you definitely want to check out!

The night before we did our rehearsal and Jeannie did an amazing job going over everything and handled my HUGE bridal party with ease (we had 10 people on each side). The day of the wedding couldn't have gone any better! The ceremony was absolutely beautiful and all of our decorations were set up exactly how I wanted them ! We got to view the Grand Ballroom about 10 minutes before everyone was let in and we got to do a few shots with our photographer with the entire room behind us. The reception was done amazing and the food was phenomenal ! All of our guest said how amazing the food was! Our matradees Fatima and Dale were absolutely amazing and made sure we got everything we needed all night ! Overall our experience with Drexelbrook could not have gone any better! Thank you guys for making our Wedding a day we will never forget !

The elevated sweetheart table was a special touch, as every guest could see the bride and groom and they had a full view of all the guests and activities below. The kitchen staff did an exceptional job with all the food - from the hors d’oeuvres to dinner and finally to the sweet endings offerings. We had some friends tell us they have been to eight weddings this year and this wedding was, by far, the best. All the guests raved about the food. When looking for a wedding venue in the Philadelphia area, our daughter and son-in-law were seeking a place with simple elegance that had good drinks and especially, great food, at a reasonable price. The Drexelbrook and staff delivered on all fronts! The Drexelbrook is currently building a hotel on site, that is expected to open sometime in 2018. We booked over 18 months ago and were then worried and disappointed to learn of the hotel construction and loss of the original patio we had loved. However, the Drexelbrook addressed all our concerns with the new replacement patio. Our guests never even realized there was construction in progress behind the beautiful ballroom. The Drexelbrook will be an even more fabulous venue once the hotel is completed!! Thank you to Jeannie and all the staff for such a memorable celebration!

The day of our wedding - I was blown away at how organized and attentive the staff was. Everyone had a timeline and walkie talkies! I had a manager that was so personable and always there asking me if there was anything I needed. I felt so much relief that I could rely on them with full confidence. It also didn't hurt that at the reception he always made sure I was always taken care of with dinner, drinks, anything! He handed me a drink of choice any time my hands were empty of a glass :) My guests were blown away from the attentiveness and service! This venue was a perfect canvas for my 400+ extravagant Indian wedding and reception. Guests are still raving about how royal it looked and how much fun they had. Thank you to all the staff!!!

From the hors d'oeuvers to the the desserts the food was absolutely exceptional. I am still receiving rave reviews and compliments.....epicurean delight!! 3.Facility- Drexelbrook Grand ballroom is not only elegant and spacious , it is a perfect layout for a wedding . The entrance foyer is a a beautiful and open space for greeting guests,enjoying cocktails and creative appetizers. 4. Price. Drexelbrook is very reasonably priced. I highly recommend this venue... you won't be disappointed!

, friendly, responsive, and truly showed she cared about us. She really listens to what your vision is and makes sure it comes alive on your wedding night. The other staff are phenomenal as well. During our wedding reception we had two attendants specifically assigned to us and our parents, and they were always around asking us if we wanted any food or drink. If it weren't for them I probably would have missed out on a lot of the cocktail hour food and dessert because we were busy greeting people! The food itself was absolutely delicious, from the appetizers to dinner to dessert to drinks. The cost is very reasonable compared to other venues - you get your own signature drink, a TON of food, an outdoor firepit, etc. The ONLY critique I have is that they are currently undergoing construction (attaching a hotel to the venue), but they did a good job of hiding any evidence of construction the actual day of (you wouldn't know if you were a guest). Drexelbrook is AMAZING and I highly recommend this venue to anyone wanting to get married. We looked at a dozen venues and we're so glad we decided on here. We are so happy with how everything leading up to the wedding and the actual wedding day played out.
