The events center has two main venues for wedding celebrations, including rehearsals, ceremonies, receptions, after-parties, and more. The Grand Ballroom exudes grandeur and sophistication. Its high coffered ceilings, sparkling crystal chandeliers, and floor-to-ceiling windows exude luxury and charm. This highly customizable space offers a range of room configurations and can be split into smaller sections depending on the length of your guest list. It can accommodate up to 1,000 guests. The DREXELBROOK Mansion Ballrooms are a classic option for smaller weddings of 70 to 350 guests. Each room is uniquely furnished, making them the ideal spaces for different parts of your celebration. The ballrooms connect to the venue’s West Terrace and Mansion Patio, perfect for romantic open-air ceremonies and drinks receptions. The staff was truly amazing! They were attentive, professional, and genuinely invested in making the day flawless. The food was incredible, exceeding every expectation, and the convenience of having the venue, hotel, and after-party all in one location was such a gift to our guests. The attached bar and restaurant allowed family and friends to arrive early and comfortably socialize before the celebration began, creating a relaxed and joyful atmosphere from the start. The outdoor setting provided stunning photo opportunities that we will treasure forever.
Every single staff member went above and beyond, but we are especially grateful to Hannah, Kim, and Dom Savino. From our very first meeting through the wedding day itself, they were exceptional. There truly are not enough words to thank them for their guidance, kindness, and attention to every detail. Everything was handled with such care and excellence. It was nothing but the best!

I did my due diligence and visited other venues, but once my parents, my fiancé, and his parents walked in, we knew that this was the one. One of the first things I loved is that we got so much more for the price, most venues offered 4 -5 appetizers, we had double - PLUS STATIONS! The dessert bar was top-tier - not just cake, but also ice cream, cannoli, and the list goes on. What Drexelbrook offered us in physical space, food, plates, napkins, etc, did not hold a torch to how myself, my fiance, and our families were treated. I know they do this for a living and, as I said before, I've worked with them on school events; however, from the moment I signed the contract, I felt as though I was the ONLY bride that establishment was working with in that moment. They understood what this event meant to me. This event was not only important to me as a bride, but also as a daughter trying to honor my mother and the vision she had for my wedding before she passed a few years ago. They eased every fear, walked me off every ledge, gave me patience, kindness, advice, guidance, and so much more. The day of my wedding when my fiance and I did the sneak peek of our reception room during cocktail hour, I could not hold tears back. Somehow they made my vision MORE beautiful than I could imagine. Again, throughout cocktail hour, first dances, speeches, dinner, dancing, and dessert, I felt like I was a princess and royalty. No favor was too big or too small, the entire staff smiled, laughed with us, and were genuinely happy for myself and my husband. I cannot sing their praises enough. I wish I could do it over again just so I could soak in the love, laughter, and fun of that night. Everyone talks about how stressful planning a wedding is, but I felt none of that in deal with Hannah, Kim, Domenick and the rest of the Drexelbrook staff. From our first meeting together to tour the venue, they made us feel valued. The venue is absolutely gorgeous, spacious, and just met all of our needs and wants that we were searching for. I had a lot of questions. When I emailed them, they emailed or called me back right away. The food was delicious. The place is absolutely beautiful. They literally took care of everything and made our guests so happy. They gave us a lot of complimentary stuff including the table centerpieces and the wedding cake. They put my husband and I in a suite in the attached hotel for free. The suite was beautiful. It had a kitchen, living room, dining room, and a bedroom. There were also 2 bathrooms. They also gave us complimentary wine in our room. I cannot say one bad thing about this place. We had a truly amazing and magical day. ALL the staff took care of us so well. I wish we could do it all again. Trust me, you will not go wrong with this venue.

accommodated every wish, even when we told them we wanted the bridesmaids to carry rescue puppies instead of flowers!! The service and food were excellent, with tons of plant-based options so that everyone felt well fed and loved, from cocktail hour to dinner and even dessert! Perhaps the best part was staying onsite at the Holiday Inn all weekend. We were able to host our rehearsal dinner on Friday night, have a fun glam party the morning of the wedding in our suite, host an after party after the wedding, and a farewell brunch on Sunday morning.....all without ever leaving the property!

elbrook was going to be our choice. The venue is beautiful, spacious (which was a huge deciding factor for us – nobody likes a crowded cocktail hour), and the parking and hotel couldn’t be more convenient for people travelling.
Jean Fernandez & Sydney Kuhn were our main points of contact; they made the entire process, from beginning to end, easy and stress free. They were available and responsive at all times of day and scheduled appointments as the big day got closer to make sure everything was in order and accurate.
Wedding day was perfect. The food and drinks were awesome, and the staff was even better. My wife and I didn’t make it to cocktail hour because of pictures, but they had someone bringing us hors d'oeuvres outside! They truly went above and beyond to get us anything we needed without even having to ask. I didn’t eat any of the street tacos, but I heard they were amazing! We had braised short rib and Tuscan chicken as our entrees, and both were delicious. The waffles and ice cream for desert was also a hit.
Our party favor was a beer (IPA) brewed for us by our favorite brewery, and Jean made sure that all 10 cases stayed cold (this was very important for me) and put them out on the bar and the end of the party for everyone to take! It’s the little things!

sary. While we never would have wished for our original plans to be impacted, we ended up having such an amazing day with probably less nerves/stress since we were already married. We started working with Drexelbrook (specifically Kim Savino) in August 2019 after we got engaged - and we continued working on our plans for over 2+ years. Due to the pandemic, we had to adjust our date and make many other changes along the way. And Drexelbrook couldn't have been more flexible and understanding. It definitely made a very stressful time a bit more manageable. Kim, and eventually Hannah and Jean (as we got closer to our date), were both so helpful in all aspects of the planning and final details. I would be remiss if I didn't mention our tasting, which was incredible! We got to bring our parents on both sides to the tasting, and the food was just all so delicious. As for our actual wedding celebration - everything went so, so well. We had a brief vow renewal in the North Ballroom, which was a perfect spot. Then, we had cocktail hour in the Grand Lobby. It's such an elegant space, and all of the appetizers and stations were incredible! We were able to bring in a musician to sing and play acoustic guitar for our brief ceremony and also cocktail hour, which gave a special touch. Our reception was perfect - all of our guests said how delicious the food was. And the portions! My husband had crab cakes and I had beef short rib - I have never seen such large portions at a wedding. The space itself is beautiful and modern. Very large dance floor, and the ballroom had more than enough room to accommodate our ~150 guests while still feeling very spacious - which was important since Covid is still very much here. All of the employees were so kind, helpful, and professional. Bill and Jason were our bridal captain team, and they kept us informed and happy throughout the evening. Once we walked into Drexelbrook that afternoon, we literally didn't feel like we had to worry about a thing - everything was in their very capable hands. Also, having a hotel onsite with the ability to hold an after party was huge! Overall, we can't recommend Drexelbrook enough. If you are looking for a place that makes the process easy (all-inclusive pricing, etc.) and also makes you feel like you're getting the value for the money you're spending - Drexelbrook is it. edding reception at the Franklin Commons. Kim is fantastic to work with, answering emails so quickly and offering her insights and knowledge to make the planning process go smoothly, even during a pandemic. A true professional. She’s just incredible and so sweet.
Franklin Commons is so very different from any other venue that we had viewed and our guests LOVED how unique and open it was. Comprised of two separate spaces, it is a mix of industrial chic with exposed duct work, string lights, and high ceilings and a very comfortable, relaxing, warm feel with couches and conversation nooks! Our guests loved the opportunity to step away from the dance floor into the second room to catch up with relatives they hadn’t seen in a while or to pose for photos in front of the barn door.
When the bridal party arrived through a separate side entrance, a selection of the 16 different appetizers (yes, 16!) and their requested cocktails awaited. Kim made sure everyone was fed and happy! She was so attentive and made everyone feel super special. The food was absolutely FANTASTIC! You will not find anywhere else that offers you 16 different passed appetizers and two live food stations as part of the standard package. We had the risotto bar and the tacos! The guests raved about each and loved how much food there was! We loved that cocktail hour could be outside but covered in case of weather. The salad and dinner entrees were excellent as well. So many guests commented how the braised short ribs melted in their mouths! And, the dessert station didn’t disappoint either. In addition to wedding cake, we had an ice cream bar. Again, all part of the standard package. We loved that we provided our own alcohol for the bar. It enabled us to purchase the wines, beer, and liquor brands that we knew our guests would enjoy.
Franklin Commons is a special venue staffed by super people who attend to every detail, ensuring a memorable, relaxing event. The servers were so professional, polite, and always busy assisting guests. And, you get so much food for your dollar! No one will leave hungry. Do yourself a favor and check it out. You won’t be sorry. Our daughter told us at the end of the night…“Best Day Ever!” You can’t do any better than that. Thank you to Kim and the entire Drexelbrook staff. Special shout out to Domenic who attended to the bride and groom all evening, ensuring they both actually ate some dinner, stayed hydrated, and enjoyed themselves. rovided step-by-step assistance with our wedding planning process. During the big day, we were treated like royalty. Staff made sure my wife and I always were receiving food and drinks (we couldn't forget to eat!), and were even greeted with champagne right after our ceremony. The Franklin Commons venue itself was beautiful and worked with us through our many changes and updates. It fit our 100 person wedding perfectly with room for everyone to dance, enjoy games outside, and find their own space to enjoy the wedding. Our guests have raved about the food, setting, and overall experience that was made possible by this great team! We could not recommend Franklin Commons and the Drexelbrook Catering team enough.

ne didn’t do it justice. It’s a beautiful, clean, and tastefully ornate facility. And it’s huge! During COVID, they were able to accommodate all of our guests (~200) comfortably and still follow state guidelines. The complimentary uplighting and table settings created a lovely ambience, and the layout was perfect. We had a live band who had plenty of space to work and the dance floor had ample space.
Next, the food: delicious! Honestly, wedding food has no business being this good. The flavors were amazing, from the hors d'oeuvres and stations to the main courses (they even were able to accommodate a custom sea bass dish we requested!) to the desserts. We’re still dreaming about the stuffed chicken and strip steak. There are so many options and they were very accommodating with food allergies, preferences, and intolerances. It’s hard to go wrong with all the choices. Also, the staff went out of their way to ensure that we were adequately fed and had time to ourselves! We can’t begin to tell you how clutch that was.
Then, the staff: helpful and accommodating! We had exactly 3 WEEKS to replan our reception as COVID forced the original reception out of Philadelphia, and everyone at the Drexelbrook did their best to make sure our “special day” was truly special. Christina, Anthony, Jeannie, and Bill hit the ground running and facilitated all of our last-minute needs. They responded quickly to our questions and didn’t balk at any reasonable requests. They had so many recommendations we didn’t even think of! They also worked so well with our vendors, making this as stress-free as possible!
Lastly, the quick turnaround: wow! While Pennsylvania was easing many event restrictions in March of 2021, Philadelphia did not follow suit. Our original reception venue very graciously allowed us out of the commitment to their venue, so we had a few days to find something else. After being very impressed with a tour of the facility, we landed on the Drexelbrook and they got to work immediately. Months of planning was able to be condensed in a few weeks. Our guests universally loved the venue and were shocked that all of it could be done in such a short period of time!
10/10 would recommend it for any event!

My husband and I had to choose a different venue 2-3 months before our wedding because of the COVID restrictions in Philadelphia at our original venue. And then when we had to push our date back because of COVID, Kim immediately came to the rescue to provide us with alternative dates. She always made herself available to us when something with another vendor (particularly our original florist) went wrong. We had our original florist (NOT through DREXELBROOK) ghost us 2 weeks before our new wedding date and Kim immediately got us in contact with their professional list of florists and we had a consultation and all of our stresses gone within a business day. Kim and the team at Drexelbrook truly made our wedding day the PERFECT day despite covid and the wedding planning hiccups. Our guests absolutely LOVED the food and the beautiful ballroom. All of the staff were professional and even made sure we ate during our big day. The night before we did our rehearsal and Jeannie did an amazing job going over everything and handled my HUGE bridal party with ease (we had 10 people on each side). The day of the wedding couldn't have gone any better! The ceremony was absolutely beautiful and all of our decorations were set up exactly how I wanted them ! We got to view the Grand Ballroom about 10 minutes before everyone was let in and we got to do a few shots with our photographer with the entire room behind us. The reception was done amazing and the food was phenomenal ! All of our guest said how amazing the food was! Our matradees Fatima and Dale were absolutely amazing and made sure we got everything we needed all night ! Overall our experience with Drexelbrook could not have gone any better! Drexelbrook also offers a variety of delicious options for guests with dietary restrictions and are certified for gluten-intolerant guests. I was especially impressed with their vegetarian and vegan offerings. Since I don't eat meat, I often get vegetarian meals at weddings that aren't filling or aren't seasoned well. Drexelbrook's vegetarian and vegan offerings are so much better than most other venues' dinners that I've eaten. d attention to every detail that we had discussed. The cocktail hour provided a perfect start to the evening. There was plenty of room for guests to mix and mingle in the Grand Lobby. In addition, we had beautiful weather, so the staff had set up a second bar on the new outdoor patio where our guests enjoyed comfortable seating around the firepits. The food stations and hand-passed hors d’oeuvres were all outstanding and enjoyed by all!
The ballroom was stunning - so elegant, classy and spacious! The elevated sweetheart table was a special touch, as every guest could see the bride and groom and they had a full view of all the guests and activities below.
The kitchen staff did an exceptional job with all the food - from the hors d’oeuvres to dinner and finally to the sweet endings offerings. We had some friends tell us they have been to eight weddings this year and this wedding was, by far, the best. All the guests raved about the food.
When looking for a wedding venue in the Philadelphia area, our daughter and son-in-law were seeking a place with simple elegance that had good drinks and especially, great food, at a reasonable price. The Drexelbrook and staff delivered on all fronts!
The Drexelbrook is currently building a hotel on site, that is expected to open sometime in 2018. We booked over 18 months ago and were then worried and disappointed to learn of the hotel construction and loss of the original patio we had loved. However, the Drexelbrook addressed all our concerns with the new replacement patio. Our guests never even realized there was construction in progress behind the beautiful ballroom. The Drexelbrook will be an even more fabulous venue once the hotel is completed!!

The day of our wedding - I was blown away at how organized and attentive the staff was. Everyone had a timeline and walkie talkies! I had a manager that was so personable and always there asking me if there was anything I needed. I felt so much relief that I could rely on them with full confidence. It also didn't hurt that at the reception he always made sure I was always taken care of with dinner, drinks, anything! He handed me a drink of choice any time my hands were empty of a glass :)

July.. It was flawless and exceptional evening. Here are four big reasons you should have your event here.
1. Staff -The wedding co-ordinator, Jeannie, and the operational staff were excellent. They went the extra mile to ensure all had an amazing experience.. The wait staff were friendly , professional and very attentive all evening...They made sure everything went very smoothly and happened exactly as planned.
2.Food- 5 star.s!. From the hors d'oeuvers to the the desserts the food was absolutely exceptional. I am still receiving rave reviews and compliments.....epicurean delight!!
3.Facility- Drexelbrook Grand ballroom is not only elegant and spacious , it is a perfect layout for a wedding . The entrance foyer is a a beautiful and open space for greeting guests,enjoying cocktails and creative appetizers.
4. Price. Drexelbrook is very reasonably priced.

y one she was patient, accommodating, detail-oriented, organized, friendly, responsive, and truly showed she cared about us. She really listens to what your vision is and makes sure it comes alive on your wedding night. The other staff are phenomenal as well. During our wedding reception we had two attendants specifically assigned to us and our parents, and they were always around asking us if we wanted any food or drink. If it weren't for them I probably would have missed out on a lot of the cocktail hour food and dessert because we were busy greeting people!
The food itself was absolutely delicious, from the appetizers to dinner to dessert to drinks. The cost is very reasonable compared to other venues - you get your own signature drink, a TON of food, an outdoor firepit, etc. The ONLY critique I have is that they are currently undergoing construction (attaching a hotel to the venue), but they did a good job of hiding any evidence of construction the actual day of (you wouldn't know if you were a guest).
Drexelbrook is AMAZING and I highly recommend this venue to anyone wanting to get married. We looked at a dozen venues and we're so glad we decided on here. We are so happy with how everything leading up to the wedding and the actual wedding day played out.
